Even though she just joined the new pack Lili found it bothersome to stay in the spot for a long time, she knew she was welcome at any time and as long as she did her duties there would be no questions asked about the journeys she would be taking, today was one such day where she knew it was a good day to walk, and she did. She found herself in her lupine form bounding through brush, grass, woods, even a rather muddy place, every place kept telling her to keep going forward, and soon she found herself facing huge buildings, mostly damaged from time and weather, but here in front of her was a city, a ghost city from what she saw. Nothing seemed to be wandering around here. She shifted back into her bipedal form, in order to take a better look, it took her a little while for her to get her composure as she’d ran all the way here. Once able, she started walking through the empty streets. She could tell this whole place had been looted to no end, so she wasn’t bound to find anything good here. The buildings themselves seemed so interesting though. She looked up at one of the taller buildings and got scared. It was so tall, how could anyone make something so big? She shuddered, and moved along, the building made her feel rather dizzy, in a way she couldn’t imagine. She smiled to herself and kept forward, walking on the streets, she could tell the weather had damaged it too, but how she didn’t know. She was definitely not a scientist. She found herself looking at hundreds of stones standing up on the grass, she tilted her head, her ears folded down a little, she was scared of moving closer but this place intrigued her. What was it, why were there so many, and why was she afraid of this place?

Her mood had seemingly gone downhill as of late. Lolita did not think she had ever fully recovered from what had happened between Inferni and Dahlia de Mai, despite having spoken with Anselm and learning the reasons. The war had been over for quite some time now, and despite this, she still felt the pull of an almost despair-like emotion. The creamy Dahlian could not exactly place the feeling, but it was something she was not fond of. She could not remember being this... She almost considered it soulless, but she knew that to be untrue. Such a thing was impossible for her. Regardless, it had been such a long time. The time of her death, in fact, had been the last time she had felt so completely empty. Lovely Lolita Monroe was feeling distraught as of late, she thought.

The creamy Dahlian had settled herself behind a tombstone today, deeming it a worthwhile place to spend the day, considering her mood. She did not know what she was going to do to pull herself out of her mood. She felt lost, completely alone. Despite belonging to Dahlia de Mai for so long, too, she knew that it was true—she had a pack beside her, but she was alone. hunched behind the stone, Lolita hugged her knees to her petite chest, her leather bag settled beside her. She knew that the bag would be visible if anyone came here, but she was fairly certain she was hidden from view. Truthfully, she was not even sure if that was what she wanted or needed. She did not have a clue anymore about anything. For a very brief moment, she had considered trying to find Pippa again, but she had quickly quelled such thoughts. Even if she were able to find Pippa again, it had been so long since she had died and she thought that her sister must have moved on by now.

She didn’t see anything that moved, nothing but the birds were alive around this place, and that made it feel more ominous, when she turned to leave, something caught her eye. A glint of leather off the sun as she turned, she squinted and saw the bag laying on the ground just ready for someone to pick up… but was its owner there? Who would leave something so precious laying out in the middle of the open, and if it had been there a while wouldn’t someone just pick it up? She was so uncertain, it looked in good shape, and she needed a bag of her own, but making one wasn’t one of her ideas of fun. she was also feeling that if no one had taken the bag by now, the lands shouldn’t be stepped on, they might be cursed lands and that was there just to entice a wolf like her to go in. She bit her lip trying to decide whether to risk it or just walk away.

She risked it. She decided, she’d been taking risks all her life why not take another risk. As she moved closer to the tombstone, she finally spotted large sandy colored ears, and her heart skipped a beat, it scared her, well the bag had an owner and he or she was right there, she couldn’t get a scent off the wolf for the smell of the soil and dampness around her was almost overwhelming. She stopped in her tracks, wondering was this wolf nice or not? She moved away a short distance before clearing her throat and hoping to make it look like she wasn’t trying to take something that didn’t belong to her.

Um…

She couldn’t even greet the new person she was so scared. She trembled, what if the wolf attacked her, she’d have no way of fighting, she didn’t know how! Oh her luck had better hold out.

Lolita had assumed she was alone, but she quickly discerned that the status of that had changed. With such a slight change in the air, the creamy Dahlian had realized that there was someone else there. The woman had been there for a very long time, and the scenery was not something particularly welcoming. Never had it occurred to her that someone else would be there, but there was the proof. The scent was fairly obvious in the air and soon, large shepherd ears were able to pick up on the timid sounds of the other as they approached the stone she was crouched behind.

The ghostly woman remained where she was, not turning to look at the approaching individual over the top of the stone. She could not see them, but she could easily decipher that it was a woman from a pack she knew nothing about. The female's fear was practically tangible in the air, and Lolita mentally scoffed at this. If she was so scared, then she should not have ventured further into the graveyard. One ear flicked in annoyance at the intrusion, as she had been, in some twisted way, enjoying her self-induced misery and seclusion. She had not anticipated that being interrupted.

"Um, what?" she said snappishly, still not turning to look at the approaching woman. Lithe tail lashed out to the side, draping itself over the faded and worn leather bag so that the intruder, as Lolita was thinking of her, would know that there was someone real there. It was possible that she was one of those that were spooked easily. Lolita grinned at the idea of being mistaken for something unreal. A ghost. That was what Daisuke had wanted to call her. She had thought nothing of it at the time, but maybe that was what she was. With how frightened the woman seemed, Lolita thought it possible, though it was very unlikely, of course.

awrrrr is short ; ; fail.

At the sound of the other wolf’s voice she knew it was a female that spoke. She took short deep breaths trying to calm herself down, if the wolf hadn’t made a move on her then she probably wouldn’t attack right? Yes that’s right, there’s no other explanation for it. There couldn’t be.She thought to herself trying to reassure herself. She moved a little to the side to see the wolf a little better.

I’m… I’m sorry to bother you I just wanted to know what this place was

She blurted out. Still a little scared. Trying to remember to breath slowly she swallowed. She felt tongue tied and her palms were all sweaty now.

I just … have never seen…this

She motioned everything with her hands, hoping in a way she would get the answer of what this place was and maybe if she knew that, why it felt so… scary.

Length matters not! ♥ 300+ words.

Oversized shepherd ears listened intently as the other came a bit closer, her breathing and words stumbling over one another. Lolita could only watch her, her expression, for the most part, blank. This place was not a particularly welcoming one, and the creamy woman wondered why the female would still be there if she was so obviously frightened. "You're afraid," she stated simply, making the obvious known. "If you are frightened, why are you here?" It was a concept that was lost on the Monroe woman. Then again, nothing truly frightened her. She did not understand why one would choose to put themselves into a position where they are frightened, because nothing scared her. Lolita had lost everything important to her: her life, her darling Pippa. There was nothing left to be taken from her, and that gave her the ability to have no fears.

Lolita loosened her hug against her knees, emerald eyes scanning the graveyard. She knew a bit about places like this; she had spent a good amount of time in them during the first few weeks of her death, thinking that it was where she belonged. It had only been after she had realized that her body would keep going that she finally left the churchyards. "This place, it is a graveyard," she explained, "and it is where the humans used to bury their dead. Each stone marks a grave—a human is buried there." It was a dreary place, even in the best of weather, and Lolita could not imagine why the other female would have ventured so far in without a reason better than curiousity. It was part of why she had come to this place. Lolita had not really expected to come across anyone here or be found, either. Well, that had not worked

She was beginning to regret even more that she’d come here, dead humans? Buried? Here? Well no wonder why it felt so ominous, she felt the blood drain from her face, and soon her belly grumbled unhappily before she turned to throw up, feeling absolutely embarrassed by the thought of standing on or near dead and decayed beings. Now she was utterly embarrassed, she couldn’t even turn to face Lolita.

I didn’t know…

She said unhappily, then a sudden thought came to her as they always did, she turned and stared at Lolita, who seemed so calm when she answered Lili’s question.

Why are you here, if this is a place where the humans buried their dead?

She asked frowning, how could one wolf be as calm as… a windless beautiful day, while the other… she didn’t want to think about what she was acting like, but it did seem like she was being more of a scardy cat than anything else. The question Lolita had asked at first was swept out of her mind completely when she figured out where she was, and now she was hoping she wasn’t standing on some dead hallow grave with some rotting corpse in it, well would it be rotting after so long still? The thought made her cringe and close her eyes, she looked like a terrified ballerina on one foot, too scared to make the pirouette. She was almost afraid to breath too even though she was taking short fast ones probably because her body was forcing her to do so.

The dead Monroe woman belonged in the graveyard. She should have endured the same end as all of these humans, her rotting corpse buried beneath the debris of the earth. Instead, she continued to walk in death. She was a freak being, one not meant for this world. But still, she was here, and she was damned if she knew why she had been so unlucky. Lolita spread her hands, gesturing to the entire place as she spoke. "Why, this is where I belong," she said with a grand flourish of her hands. "I'm a dead woman, the ghostly Lolita Monroe." Perhaps it was time to embrace her nature, enjoy it for all that it was unfortunately worth.

Emerald eyes strayed to her faded and worn leather bag, knowing its contents well. She did not want to scare away the only company she had, but then, she was not sure she even wanted company. Lolita simply did not want to be alone. She took a deep breath, trying a different route than her usual routine of offering smoke. "So... What do you do?" she asked, though the question seemed completely stupid after the words passed her lips. "Where are you from?" She did not recognize the scent.

OOC: She’s VERY gullible lol silly lili

WC: 389

Liliana’s eyes widened a little when she was told she was in the presence of a ghost, fear kept her stuck to the floor where she stood, unable to make another move. It was as though her feet were glued to the ground, was that why she was so light? But her hair wasn’t, it all confused her, if she were a ghost would she really be solid. She seemed so nice… as she thought that… she started wondering, couldn’t ghosts still be ghosts but nice as well? She’d heard some tales her mother told her father when she came from a pack, she even heard some tales from other packs when she was allowed to visit, most of these tales were of ghosts taking their children and cursing their family or friends, but this wolf here, she didn’t seem so bad, could they be that bad? She was too scared to actually test it out. Her words were caught in her throat until she heard the wolf change the conversation

Umm…. I groom and train horses, over in AniWaya

She said quietly, did ghosts actually ask these questions? Did they care, she didn’t seem that interested in it, just seemed like she was rather lonely, maybe that’s what she wanted? someone there? Or did she just not want Lili to be so scared that she’d end up embarrassing herself, the questions kept coming because they just didn’t add up, but she believed Lolita when she said she was a ghost, if she was she’d know it right? Best to tell the truth?
I live in Aniwaya…but… um, I was born in unclaimed lands, my parents… they are… were wanderers.

She said, stopping to think, if Lolita was a ghost of some kind, did that mean her parents would be too, and that they were looking for her. She bit her thumb thinking about it, she doubted it, her father was cruely killed and her mother basically committed suicide, not even thinking about her daughter that had to watch her own mother waste away.

Where… where were you from?
She asked, trying to make things even out, she might have just been a loner and never had a place, but she wanted to be nice, she was sure if she angered Lolita slightly she might find herself cursed.

I couldn't remember if you wanted her to smoke or not. xD; So up to you whether they do or not.

There was no further mention of her deceased nature, and that was fine by her. Lolita was content to allow the conversation to flow in a different direction. She still was unsure of whether or not she craved the company, but for now she was happy for the distraction. How long that would last, she could not be certain, so Lolita was going to take it for all that it was worth. "I live in Dahlia de Mai, but I came from Alaska. Very far away. My siblings are gone, my mother is dead. Murdered. I did not know my father. My uncle lives in a pack near here, but I do not see him. My love... she is gone. I was killed by my brother. I'm much better off here," she said with a bitter chuckle. That may or may not have been the truth, but it seemed like an appropriate addition.

The creamy Dahlian glanced once more at her faded bag, striking emerald eyes then settling on the still-frightened woman. "You still have not introduced yourself," she said, with a small tsk sound. "I have something... It might make you less afraid. If you wanted to try it. Have you ever smoked before?"

WC:345. OOC: yay for posties Big Grin

She listened to Lolita’s explanation, it was so horrible, losing loved ones, she knew personally how it felt, her father was murdered as well protecting her. But to be killed by ones own brother? She just couldn’t imagine that such evil could come within a family, ever. it opened her eyes a little more to the harsh world around her, she was just some tiny speck that could be flicked at any given time. Just like poor Lolita, she suddenly felt bad when Lolita stated she hadn’t introduced herself, but before she could really answer, the other wolf seemed to have a solution to Lili’s problem, smoke? She wondered how that would help her, she’d seen other wolves doing it before but had never actually thought of herself doing it, she tilted her head a little

I’m afraid I’ve never smoked before… but … there’s always a time to start, and… I am Liliana, Liliana Vess.

She said, since the wolf in front of her was acting so casual like her own death wasn’t anything, Lili was already calming down but it would be nice to be even more calm right? Well only one way to find out. She then noticed that Lolita had been looking between Lili and her bag, and Lili’s heart almost stopped, did she know? She was going to steal from the dead, something that would mean very bad luck for Lili and well it was disrespectful to steal from the dead… but she didn’t know, she didn’t know what this place was until the ghost woman told her, did that make it any better? Or worse? She hoped if there was a punishment it would get over with quickly, but she didn’t say a word, maybe she just really wanted whatever was inside there and it was Lili’s own paranoia kicking in. but Lolita was dead weren’t dead people more… enlightened? Her mind raced, hoping if Lolita did know she was going to salvage the bag, un knowing that it belonged to someone... she would be lenient on the punishment.

Sorry for the delay! You might want to edit in te mature tag for drug use, starting with this (the 12th) post, into your first post. ^^

An almost feline-like grin spread over her delicate muzzle as she considered the woman's name. There was something that she found funny about their meeting now. Lolita, Liliana—Lali (the petname Pippa had given her), Lili. Really, there was hardly anything funny about the similarities in their names, but it certainly did not stop the dead woman from finding enjoyment out of the thought. "I'll show you how, I'll make you feel happy," she said, pulling the faded and worn bag into her lap. "You will not feel frightened anymore." The tension in the air would dissipate then, surely.

She began searching through the contents of her bag, pulling out a salvaged wrap—this one had pictures of strawberries on the packaging, how delightful!—and her jar of herb. Someday, she would no longer have access to the fruit-flavored wraps, as no more were being made, but she had a good supply for now. She worked quickly, rolling the blunt deftly and holding it up for Liliana to see before she pulled out a pack of matches, striking one to light it. Lolita put it to her lips, inhaling deeply. "It tastes like strawberries, almost. The fruit flavor makes it very delicious," she commented, breathing out the smoke as she held it out for the tribe member to take.

Liliana’s ears pricked up when she heard that the dead wolf would make her feel happy, and unfrightened, with a smoke? She’d never heard something that could do such a thing, she was quite curious, and watched silently as the woman pulled out a small wrap and put something inside of it, then rolling it up, Lili thought it looked rather strange, not something that was really meant to make anyone happy. She watched as Lolita lit and puffed at the blunt to get it to burn and then took a draft, she tilted her head and took it when it was offered to her, she put it to her lips and inhaled, and then sputtered an enoromous cough from it, pulling it away, the taste from the smoke was different, and the smoke had irritated her lungs, they had never been subjected to such treatment, but instead of denying to try again, she took a slower inhale, and gave it to Lolita again, cough/blowing it out, it wasn’t instantaneous, and she was about to tell her the wolf had lied, but before she got a chance, she asked herself why, because now she felt good, she smiled at the dead woman,

You are right!

She said her grin growing little by little. She wondered what was in the wrap that Lolita wrapped, but it slipped her mind, looking around the graveyard didn’t seem scary anymore, it looked.. . like a miniature city, like the few dead places she’d visited, it kind of reminded her of Toronto. They never went inside the city but it looked like this graveyard from where they stood from the city.

How does it work?

She asked looking questioningly at the small thing that seemed like it was nothing more than a burning piece of paper.

AHEM I SUCK. D: ♥ WotD: Macabre!

The woman with the most macabre fate, to walk the earth for all of eternity in death, watched with mild amusement as Liliana took her first hit. Lolita winced apologetically. She really needed to remind new smokers to take very small hits or they might cough and hurt themselves. Someday, she would remember to do that for someone, she vowed. "Sorry," she said sheepishly, accepting the blunt back form the tribe woman. "I should have warned you, it can be a little harsh at first." It had simply been too long since she had first begun to smoke, so she hardly even remembered what the first time was like, or the ones after that.

Lolita inhaled the strawberry-flavored smoke deeply, knowing her own lungs could certainly hold more smoke and for longer than Liliana's could. She closed her eyes, rocking from side to side gently as she hummed to herself, holding in the smoke for as long as she possibly could before it finally spilled from her mouth and she held the blunt back out to the other woman. "Well, the plant—marijuana, that is—grows, and then the buds are picked off and broken up, then smoked. Something in the plant makes you feel good. Doesn't it?"

WC:--- OOC: sooo sorry this took absolutely forever, i thought I replied to it ; ;

She smiled as she watched Lolita take a hit, it wasn’t like how Lili handled it at all at all, she could take a pretty big breath of it, and not be phased… when accepting it back, she listened as she took it a little slower and in a smaller amount, this time she did it without coughing… well too much at least. Each second was feeling like something was being lifted off her shoulders, her fear about the ghost woman was washing away with all the other stressful thoughts Liliana had about her life. She only nodded at the answer, the answer didn’t seem to matter anymore to her. She smiled at the ghost lady, handing back the blunt
I guess ghosts aren’t so bad as I thought.

She said, making a slight giggle in her throat at no apparent reason other than she was starting to feel much better, much more relaxed, and well, what she just said seemed funny to her now that she heard it come out of her mouth

It was always a pleasure for the Monroe woman to watch someone smoke for the first time, to hear the change in their voice and to see the change in the way they held themselves. While Lilianna had seemed frightened at first, now she seemed calm and much happier. She was even suffering the plague of giggles that often claimed smokers. Lolita grinned, the cheshire smile sprawling wide over her petite muzzle. She took the blunt back, inhaling deeply as she held it out again. She held the smoke in, then breathed it out as she spoke, the smoke curling around the words so much that she could almost see it. "Nah, we're not too bad. I guess the living are pretty cool, too," she said, then laughed, amused by her own joke that wasn't all that funny, anyway.

"So, how come you came out here today?" she asked, curious to know what had drawn the tribe member from her home. Most had a reason for going somewhere, and Lolita liked to know things. Some might call her nosy, but she was simply inquisitive and she admittedly had nothing better to do.

ooc stuff goes hurr.

Liliana could feel the effects now, although it didn’t matter to her anymore as she was quite relaxed, she shrugged at Lolita’s question,

My feet decided to take me here, I’ve never been to a city such as this one, though… I’ve seen some livelier ones.

She looked at Lolita with shock in her eyes and tried to hold in a laugh that she couldn’t help but let some escape her. She didn’t even think of what she said to be any type of joke until after she said it… livelier, she told herself, and another small giggle fit came to her. She again took the blunt, this time, she tried what Lolita did, she sucked it in slowly and held it, before breathing out, she coughed but it wasn’t so bad, she was getting use ot it, and she loved it. She’d have to find a way to make her own, it was… well nice.

<3 sorry it's short~

Lolita laughed then, too, understanding the joke when Lili began to giggle. Lolita wasn't alive and they were sitting in an old human cemetary—of coruse there were livelier ones! She chuckled, wondering what it would be like to be happy and to smoke while alive. "Do you like smoking, then?" she asked, grinning her cheshire grin. The tribal woman had been hesitant at first, but the Monroe woman was glad to see that everything had changed since the first moment they had laid eyes on one another. "If you know anything about plants, I can give you some seeds and you can grow your own." Lolita did not know if the seeds would produce anything, given how long some of them had been sitting in the jar, but she could offer just the same.

OOC: Lol, yay for giggles, if you couldn’t tel iI’ve never been high so I’m winging it..

Liliana was glad the other was having as much fun as her, this was good stuff. She could get used to it. She doubted she would be smoking alone. She nodded, a permanent grin now on her face. She definitely liked it. Then a mention of planting. She remembered showing a pup how to put something in the dirt… well yeah there were seeds.

I’d say… well I can put stuff in the dirt, I don’t know much about growing anything though.

Her usual alertness and willingness to learn wasn’t all there right now, she was just too mellow for that, and things were starting to sound funny, like that bird that had just flown by… that was just funny. She giggled a little.

I’ll try, I know someone in Aniwaya can help me.

That was a fact, she was suppose to be learning how to grow herbs anyway… this seemed like an herb, one to make a wolf less tense.. yeah she’d be able to grow something with some help

<3 we could probably wrap this up soon?

Everything that had seemed so tense and fearful in the AniWayan girl had faded away, replaced by happiness and giggles. The flamboyant Dahlian was glad to have played a part in being able to relax her, and she was sharing something she enjoyed with a member of another pack. That was a good thing, wasn't it? Lolita chuckled as she listened to Liliana speak. It was always interesting to watch others when they smoked, and she suspected she had been amusing in her early days. Now, though, she smoked so often that it did not affect her as it did many others.

Lolita reached for her bag, pulling it into her lap and lifting the flap on the top. The zipper had broken long before she had found it, but that was okay. It had a strap near the bottom, too. She rummaged through until she found the smaller glass jar that contained her seeds, and she shook some out into her hand. In total, there were maybe ten or eleven seeds in her hand, and she held them out to the AniWayan. "Here," she said, "just incase you want to try growing it or something."
