With her head low and tail tucked between her legs, Seraf glided gracefully across the few yards that separated her from the border of the pack she hoped to be a part of. After months of travel, the nearly grown pup wearily sat down. She pawed the grass in front of her longingly. If only this could be mine. She thought sadly. Young Seraf barely remembered the last time she could call anything a home. All her life, short as it may be, was spent traveling. Only recently she decided to leave her mother for the life she longed; a pack life. After awhile, sleep overtook this ivory youth. Her blue eyes flickered shut and her tired limbs fell from beneath her. Seraf tucked her tail beneath her nose and rested her head upon her dainty paws. She dreamed pleasantly of the life she wished she'd have.

The Lt. General had taken an evening away from her growing brood and found herself at the pack’s borders. It was not an uncommon trip for the second in command, wandering the invisible line and reforming it and strengthening it as she walked along it. Her gray and tan light body walked quickly and with purpose through the darkening and ending day, knowing that she should soon return to the three boys that looked to her for care and settle in for bedtime stories and good night kisses.

But there was something different this ending day, a new scent tickled her nose and took her thoughts from a warm bed to the summer night and the stranger that had broken their marked border. Anu quickened her step, traveling lightly over the well known path and paused when the scent was too strong for the origin to not be beyond the next gathering of trees.

Her posture was vividly authoritative, ears perked and her tail held high, but her eyes were not stern and the fur along her back still smooth and trusting. Another wanderer, another youth, her thought when water eyes washed over the new creature. Can I help you, The wolfess called with an even and calm tone. You have crossed into Crimson Dreams lands. She said informatively.
