p. Eternal Eclipse

The tall Dreamer had rolled out of bed early, earlier then was her normal. Lately she had stayed in bed as long as her companion did, savoring the time and refusing to be the first to leave the comfort and warmth. But she ventured up and out with the first spots of light that hit her eye lids and took her leather bag and left the Manor. Her smallest sketch book and a few pencils and her sharpening knife were all that she had tucked away into the custom made bag that Anann had created for her. The long strap crossed her chest as she wandered through the pack lands to the borders and beyond. The wolfess head north, her initial purpose not fully understood. She simply wanted to catch an early light perhaps, see the beyond of the lands she had stuck so close to since her mother had given her the three small brothers.

The serene of the Eclipse brought the Church fey a new idea, and her eyes no longer looked for a composition that might be worthy of capture on her small note pad but for a quiet place that was alone and secluded. The patches of grass were small and rare in the thick forests, but it was also private and romantic and the bronze fey’s eyes. It was different, unlike the beach or the cliffs. There was no noise to disrupt the presence she wished to enjoy, her thoughts venturing to her female lover. She would look beautiful against the green foliage, and hoped that they would not turn dull and fall from the finger like branches until she was able to visit with the Marino woman.

Her hand touched the nearest trunk, holing it to steady herself as she traveled ever further north and over the roots that sought to trip her up with each step. Jewel like eyes looked upwards, idly and not paying my attention to the fact that the woods held more mystery then the trees and shadows they created.

It was still early in the rising light of day. Bris had risen before the sun, her feet feeling somehow restless and driven with the need for space. The white woman was completely in love with Dahlia and all of her gifts, but for too long she'd confined herself within the boundaries out of fear. It had been a month since Hybrid had toyed with her in the woods of the Eclipse, and Bris felt that it was about time she stop letting the fear of him hold her prisoner in her own packlands. The woman wasn't entirely safe there anyway: the Inferni bastard haunted her very dreams.

It had happened again this morning; Bris had awakened with a start, her breath ragged and her heart racing in the darkness of the early pre-dawn hours. Giving up on sleep, the white Stormbringer had slipped unnoticed from the house she shared with Conor, Nayru and Gideon. Her satchel was over her shoulder, its long strap crossing her chest, the leather pack resting comfortably against her left hip. Her destination was once more the Eclipe, more specifically the lake in the middle of it that she loved so much. Hybrid had kept her from it for too long, and her adventurous heart would be miserable if she let him have that control of her spirit. As much as she adored all of Dahlia de Mai, Bris could never be truly happy if she let herself remain a prisoner.

The sun finally peeked over the horizon as the white ghost of a woman made her way quietly through the woods. Bris kept walking, straight through the sunrise to the early hours of morning, her footsteps seeming to float above the debri that littered the forest floor. The Ethereal Eclipse was Bris' favorite of all the neutral territories she'd explored. There was a spiritual air all about the woods, and the pale woman breathed deeply as she walked. The forest smelled fresh and clean, the light glimmering through the trees lending a heavenly feel to its pressence. The young jager's mood was already lifting, and she smiled as her voice found the melody of an old lullaby to hum as she wandered.

Suddenly, Bris noticed someone moving ahead of her. She paused her footsteps, tilting her head slightly in curiosity. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she noticed that wind was not with her today. Whoever it was that was walking ahead, the person's scent was being carried away from Bris rather than toward. Of course, this also meant that whoever it was would soon be aware that they were not alone. For a moment, Bris chewed her lip in thought, fear suddenly rising to form a lump at her throat. What if it was Hybrid? What if he'd found her again in her foolish decision to return to the last place he'd had his fun with her? A shiver ran through her spine as his voice echoed through her head: "Here kitty kitty kitty...Kitty where are you?...Kitty come back!!" Bris' feet kept her planted as a statue while the memories of his taunting flooding through her, but she gritted her teeth and forced them to fade. Taking a deep breath, the white woman moved forward in the direction of the other figure.

not to worry!

As quickly as the idea of a placed to share a moment along with her beloved came, it fluttered to the back realms of her mind when the scent of another rose to her nose. Black nostrils took in the fragrance, an obvious Dahlia tone laced with the other female's personal note. The Dreamer was down wind and in the advantage, though to bring sight to the creature was not as easy a task as picking up the smell had been. She was closer then Mati had thought, her thoughts much have been clouded in a haze of wanton dreamy ideals.

The bronze and earth tones woman looked to the pale fey, she would forever think of her birth mother at the white of a snow colored wolfess, though that was where the similarities ended. She was lean and much more fragile and feminine then the bulk and stature that Naniko had given to Mati. There was tension in the Dahlian form, though she approached the nanny and artist. Violet eyes watched, and she took a step in the direction of the stranger to show that she was indeed friendly.

Hello. Mati spoke, waving a hand in greeting. It had been some time since she had ventured from the Dreaming lands and met another that did not belong to her blood line in some way. It was nice to think that she could come to know and befriend another female that was did not happen to be her half sister or knew her mother. She carried a bag, and Mati wondered if she was wondering with a plan and a purpose. The fey didn't wish to keep her from her duty is she had one.

<3333!! Trying to get this out before my relief comes up so I can go to lunch! XD I have an early lunch. ;-;

As Bris drew closer to the stranger, she visibly let out a sigh of relief. The face that turned to address her was feminine, though in a strong, proud sort of way. The eyes that locked onto her were a gentle violet rather than a bloodthirsty crimson, and the voice that greeted her was warm and welcoming. Bris felt most of the obvious tension leave her body, her lips curling into a friendly smile as she approached, raising her hand to greet the other woman in return.

"Hello! I don't usually run into anyone else all the way out here. My name is Bris, from Dahlia de Mai. Are you headed for the lake?" With the fear of Hybrid fading from the Stormbringer's heart, the change in her demeanor was immediately noticable. Her mismatched eyes sparkled with warmth in the streaming sunlight of the Eclipse, her body language betraying her generally good mood. She'd come to the forest with the idea of a quiet day of self-indulgence, but Bris would never pass up the opportunity at making a new friend. Besides, if the lake was this stranger's destination as well, perhaps they could travel together. Bris hadn't met many others from outside of Dahlia de Mai, and she was voraciously curious about her pack's neighbors.

The Church female was always a bit easier to approach another female, her history of trusting males had not always ended well. The scars that the now dead black and white wolf had left her would always remain. They were hidden by her thick Earth hued coat, though to even a gentle touch they could be felt. They had been laid deep into her skin, and Mati would never forget the night that it had happened. So it was easy for her to draw near the Dahlian woman, who gave the Dreamer a smile as she spoke.

Mati took in her name, placing it to the miss matched eyes that she wore and the soft lines of her face. Bris spoke of a lake, and it was one that Mati did not know of. The only lake was the one her pack claimed, but she didn’t think it was what Bris was thinking of. I’m Mati Church of Crimson Dreams. She introduced herself with a smile to match the white coated woman’s . Oh, I didn’t know there was a lake in this region, Her tone was light and mater of fact. She was unsure if Bris had given her a bit of an invitation and the fey couldn’t help but become curious, is it far?
