ooc: This is post-dated to November 28th. This plot is going to be fun xD; 5 points.

summer was close at hand, and though signs of snow were beginning to show, it couldn't stop Bangle from stepping out of his new abode and just enjoy the last bit of sun. It was a good change of pace, too, he decided to work a bit on his craftsmanship someplace within pack territory.

He closed the door behind him, and adjusted his belt and strung the satchel over his neck and across his chest before coming down the three porch steps. Bangle turned and smiled.. his house was looking better and better each day. The outside still needed some work, but he was thankful he had help in cleaning most of the inside out and making it livable.

Where his feet went, he had no idea, as he turned left towards the field on the other end of his house, instead of going the usual way on the other side. His coat made of several furs was draped around him, it was cold despite the bright sun beating down, without a cloud to cover its magnificent rays. He was traveling in the direction of unmarked paths, one that promised solitude and peace of mind. Bangle had to retrieve his bone knife a couple of times to move dense brush out of the way, but never once did he stop until he knew it was time to. The day would just keep passing under his nose, and he couldn't miss it.

It had been some time since he had gotten used to this pack. He met quite a few nice faces, and even those willing to trade his craftables with something else. Just recently, he traded bird bone jewelry with a passerby for a pair of freshly skinned, brown rabbit hides, which he turned into something useful recently, though it needed some finishing touches. At present, Bangle stopped and lifted his muzzle to the sound and smell of water, and aimed for that direction. The bubbling stream became louder as he brushed aside more foliage that grew taller than him, and Bangle's sights fell upon an oasis. Even from where he was standing, the pool was clear almost to the point one could see the bottom, though ice was beginning to build up along its sides.

He breathed deep, finding that this enclosed space within the forest was the perfect work setting. The coywolf walked and settled upon a slightly shaded area, where grass met earth and sloped down to the water. The tall trees that surrounded the Oasis provided more than enough shade, which would've made a perfect spot for the summertime, Bangle thought.
But he shook his head at this suddenly, finding it odd that he would already be thinking about what this pack would be like in the summertime. He hadn't even intended to stay that long, did he? The coywolf decided to shrug it off, removing the satchel and the fur bundle he carried on his back. Bangle laid this fur out, made entirely of deer, on the ground, his work mat of sorts.

After careful preparation and setting out his craft for the day, he sat cross legged in front of the fur mat. The two rabbit hides, their plush fur still on one side, lay stretched out across two thick pieces of bark, cut into squares. Before he sat down, he was lucky the forest was plentiful with foliage, and decided to tear off a few large leaves, and tear them in halves as well. Lastly, he had a cord of vines which he saved during the clean up of his house, and other little whatnots. Taking a deep breath, looking at each item, he slowly began to work each of the pieces together, his mind set on the item he intended to make before the day ended.

yeah! : D

Skye had been walking for a while, still thinking about all that had happened since she left her parent's house. Although it had been less than half a year ago, it seemed like forever since she'd been there. She'd met so many people, accomplished so many more things than she'd done in her entire life. She felt happy here, in her new home, with her new friends - it was a great thing, and she loved the feeling.

Suddenly, she scented a scent she'd scented before - Bangle! Laughing in spite of the cold, she skedaddled towards the scent and came across the coywolf standing in front of a crystal clear pool. She grinned at him. "Hey, Bangle! Nice find!" she exclaimed, referring to the pool.

All of the male's energy and concentration went into his craft - it usually did, anyways. Though he was easily bored when doing one thing at a time.. his craft was his life, and he wasn't going to ignore that. Bangle let out a breath that he didn't know he had been holding for some time, and set the object down that he roughly put it together. Despite the chill, he felt like he was burning up within, and if he was able to sweat he would have. Deciding to give himself a break, he pushed his hands against the grass and pushed himself up on his two feet.

He only had to take a few steps to hit the edge of the oasis, and it was beautiful. One could nearly see the bottom, and the coywolf guessed that he couldn't reach the bottom if he stood in it at his full and grandeur height of 5'8. Kneeling, he looked into the water. And there it was... again. His reflection. But it was just "a reflection" to Bangle. This strange fellow had been following him everywhere there was a water source, and Bangle could not get rid of him. "Listen you, I don' 'ave time ta deal with ya." Yes, he was arguing with his own reflection, or "that wolf that looks like me". He hit the water and it rippled the still oasis pool, and Bangle took long drinks.. not because he was thirsty, so much as he was hoping the wolf in the water would disappear.

Getting up and brushing himself off, the male turned back to his work mat and sat cross-legged in front of it again. His project in the works was to be a book.. of sorts, with a plush cover of rabbit fur on either side. The rabbit hides, with one side fur and the other side stripped down to a supple, flexible leather, were put on each piece of bark. Bangle stuck the hide and bark together with a tower sap mixture of some sort to keep the leather side of the cover stuck to the bark. Inside of this makeshift book were the leaves, designed to be paper, also cut to fit the measurements of the width of the tower bark. Bangle was just about to reach over to get the vine cord and tie it all together, when his ears perked at a voice. And a familiar one, at that.

"Hey, Bangle! Nice find!" He turned to the direction of the voice, and Bangle practically smiled from ear to ear as he saw the white female appear. But it quickly vanished when she mentioned something about a nice find, and his eyes flew open. 'Did she see..?' He stood up, with his back towards his fur mat and his project, trying to hide it. "Oh.. 'ey there, lass!" His voice was awkward, but he was confused to why she was here, and what 'find' she was hinting at. "What brings ya-- what find?" His two questions kind've blended together, and though he was happy to see her, he was afraid his crafting surprise would be given away so soon.

"Oh.. 'ey there, lass! What brings ya-- what find?"

Skye cocked her head a few inches, a quizzical expression on her face. Bangle was acting weird...The way he said that and shifted so that it seemed like he was hiding something was enough to bamboozle. But she didn't think much of it, since Bangle was...well...a strange individual. He was nice, and he was cute, but he was also strange. But that was a good thing to have in a pack - if everyone was the same, it'd be very boring. She'd seen him around lately, and was happy that he was getting used to the pack. She grinned. "The pool. I hadn't noticed it before." She then cocked her head the other way - he seemed like he was...hiding something?

"So what are you doing here?" she asked, her tail swishing slowly. She didn't mean for it to sound like she was interrogating him; sometimes she even forgot that she was a co-leader of a pack. No, Bangle was her esteemed colleague, and she wanted to treat him like one. To her, being a leader just meant having to keep a closer eye on things and organize and protect her pack when needed. It was a good job to have, but also a responsibility; one that others might not want to have.

Of all the dang wolves to have happened in on the scene, it had to be her. Inwardly, Bangle kept thinking of some excuse as to why he was here. At the same time wondering why on earth Skye would have decided to go exploring and happened upon an unmarked place like this, and find him here at the same time. His eyebrow raised as to these questions he had buzzing in his head, that he nearly didn't hear the white wolf's words.

"Oh, yeah. It's uh, nice." 'You git,' he said to himself. The male had to shake his head, literally, once or twice, to snap himself out of this odd trance he was in. He turned his orange eyes away from the female, and looked to the clear pool. If only his mind was that clear, right now. "So what are you doing here?" One eye snapped back onto her, though he tried to avert most of his gaze. He felt his face flush, but luckily he was mostly the same shade of red all over. Bangle pondered her question, as if trying to decide what he should say to her, but he realized he just couldn't lie this time. Not to her. He let out a very audible sigh, and tried to play it off in his usual way.

He made a 360 degree turn, practically, now facing his work mat. He sat back down and nearly huddled over his little project, not wanting to let her see it. Not just yet. "Welllll," he began, drawing out the word. "If ya mus' know, I am craftin'," he said this as he cocked his head to look back at where she was standing. "But I can't let yeh see it yet," the male winked. He felt he was back in business with his old self, his arms wrapped protectively over the object in question. "'S almost done, though, if you can busy yerself with som'n else?" He kept his eyes on her, not wanting to have to turn around and her taking a sneak peek at the project. Then, for good measure to be sure he wasn't acting too strange, or too suspicious already, he chuckled as he said, "I know how awful it mus' be t'not be around me, I understan'." Oh Bangle, you are sure to get smacked for that.

"Oh, yeah. It's uh, nice." Skye smiled inwardly, still wondering about his unusual behavior. Yeah, the lake was nice, and what was he hiding behind his back? And then he spoke once more; a long, drawn-out 'well' provoked a smile from her, and she was happy to hear that he was crafting. Crafting? What was so super-secret about crafting?

"I know how awful it mus' be t'not be around me, I understan'." Skye snorted, a rather loud, unlady-like sound. "Oh, yes," she said with a simpering smile that could only be taken as sarcastic. "I simply can't think of what I would do without simply staring at you all day. In fact, I think I'm going to go cry in the corner over there," she said with extreme sarcasm, giggling softly and walking over to a tree in the corner of the space. She took off her pack and rifled through it some before she came up with with a book. It had been easy enough to track down the mysterious black cat and impetrate a book or two from 'his' library. She pulled out the latest one she'd borrowed and bent her knees, resting the book on her lap and began to read.

ooc: Nuh uh! 5 points.

His hands continued to work on his craft gingerly, his back hunched over it as it to protect it, shield it from view. Why did he ever need to in the first place? It wasn't like him, usually he just crafted things for people right on the spot and gave it to them when finished. So why did he care to make such an impression with this project?

"I simply can't think of what I would do without simply staring at you all day." A grin flashed from ear to large ear on the coywolf, and he could practically feel himself flush at those words. It was a good thing, on one side, that his fur was already shades of deep red, but he was also glad his back was on the female. He listened intently as she walked away from him, and then coughed and turned his attention back on the item in his hands.

As he worked, and finished wrapping things up, he chanced a glance over his shoulder to look at Skye reading. There was a hint of a smile playing on her features, complimented with a set of eyes determined to read - and something more. Bangle never understood why some wolves could read - what was so interesting in those pages, anyways? Bangle promised himself that he would have to ask later. He was too focused on her smile, she was far more beautiful when she smiled. It wasn't like any he had seen, and believe it when he says that he had met a few good looking wolves in his travels. Inwardly, the red and gray male loved to make others laugh and grin, but none more than he wanted to make Skye smile.

Moving to get up, he rubbed his hands together in an indication that his work was done. Picking up the object, he turned and hid it behind his back, walking towards the white female. He walked closer than he should have, as he did with any a friend or stranger, loving to get into personal bubbles. Bangle came close until he blocked the sun from her view, and leaned in close from where he was standing. "Ya mentioned this pool bein' a good find, eh?" He asked, flashing his trademark grin. "I think I've found som'n better fer ya." Then, he got down to her level, getting to his knees and sitting back on his legs, and carefully brought the item out for her to see.

The finished book couldn't have looked more.. put together. The rabbit fur was plush on top, yet the leather that wrapped around the tree bark was flexible, and would hold. The leaves inside were a bright shade of green, despite the fall season, and were flawless - perfect to write upon. It was all bound together by a coil of vine, threaded into holes cut into the rabbit hide, on both sides, making opening and closing the book easy. Snug within the confines of the binding was a finely shaped, ivory bone of an animal (for where would Bangle be without them?), shaved down to what imitated the size and shape of a pencil. Bangle leaned in close again, still cradling the book in his hands, his grin still stretching his face. "You liiiiike?"

Skye tried to hide a smile to no avail. She liked Bangle very much, and she didn't know exactly why...maybe it was his adorable sense of humor? His adorable way of making her smile? His adorable face? She blushed under creamy white fur, hiding her nose in her book further. She wasn't reading at all, really; she wasn't taking in a single word of the pages, rather spending her time buried in thoughts.

But not for long. Taking her nose out of her book, she saw as Bangle walked very close and leaned in. Close. He blocked the sun, so a shadow fell on her book. Giving him an odd, tilted smile, she waited for whatever was hiding behind that enormous grin of his.

"Ya mentioned this pool bein' a good find, eh? I think I've found som'n better fer ya."

And then he brought out something beautiful.

It was a little book - covered in rabbit skin and bound with leather, she took it from his hands reverently. It was beautiful; the large, flat leaves inside were flawless, perfect for her pencil. The bone that was the spine was hard but flexible, and the book was perfect. Perfect in every way.

"Bangle, I love it!" Skye exclaimed, forgetting herself and throwing her arms around the coywolf, embracing him in a long, tight hug. She finally let go, staring from the book to Bangle back to the book again. "It's so beautiful."

ooc: +5 Hope you don't mind, trying to prolong the thread just a bit, so you and I could get a few extra posts in before it ends abruptly. :3

For some reason, this small project, which turned into a gift for the female, made him somewhat nervous as he presented it. He held it carefully, afraid it would break if he clutched it any tighter in his gray-colored claws. Never had he been nervous or scared when crafting something and displaying it for sale - he didn't really care what others thought. But this was something personal the coywolf took on, and he found himself actually caring what the female's opinion on the gift was.

But he received it, and it was received well. With a smile, and a sudden hug she had given to him, one which nearly knocked him from off his legs and straight down on his bum. Bangle's grin warmed into a gentle, sincere smile, getting over the initial shock of her appreciative gesture. He wrapped his hands around her waist briefly, his claws tingling at the sensation of touching her perfectly-white fur. His eyes closed momentarily, enjoying the sensation, but as soon as it had come, soon he felt nothing but space in between them again. When his eyes re-opened, his orange eyes were sparkling with glee, but nothing compared to what the coywolf saw in Skye's expression.

"It's so beautiful." He heard her exclaim, and found himself muttering. "Yeh you are.." But as soon as he said it, the coywolf coughed a bit and tried to pull it off as having said nothing, hoping Skye hadn't heard any of those words. He felt himself go red, though it would've been hidden in his colorful fur. Bangle kept himself looking at his work of art that she now held in her hands, instead of looking back into her face. "I don' see what ya see in readin', but maybe it'll help." The coywolf was never interested in reading or writing, they were things carved from trees with some writing in them. Though he wasn't sure what the benefits were in the art, Skye seemed to like it all the same.

The male stood up, and brushed himself off. He glanced to the sky, and saw it was about noon-ish then. Taking in a refreshing gulp of air, his chest puffed out as he exhaled. "Th' bone was kinda tricky, I can show ya how it was done." The traveler did love to show his work off, and it was all the better if someone was willing to learn what he taught himself. "First, though, I think a swim'd be good." He always did feel a little messy after crafting, but it would've also cooled his body off, for every inch of him felt as if it was on fire.

Then, to kind of lighten the mood with his humor, Bangle looked to the female and grinned slyly. "'N you 'specially, I can smell ya from here!" Bangle laughed and took a couple steps back towards the water, sure he was going to get a good slap for his comment, or at the very least a verbal lashing.

ooc: weeee!

Skye turned the small journal around in her hands, admiring it from every angle. It was covered in plush, white rabbit fur, bound to brown, stiff tree bark. She saw that the spine was made out of bone and nodded; that would hold well and be sturdy for many years to come. She opened it and saw broad, flat leaves that were bright green and great for writing on with any medium – pencil, paint, or chalk would stand out against the leaves. She grinned and looked back up at Bangle, who seemed to be embarrassed for some reason Skye couldn’t explain.

She smiled at his comment that he didn’t see what she saw in reading. There was everything in reading! ”It’s perfect,” she said again. ”I can write anything I want in here…It’s perfect, Bangle. Thank you.” She looked up at him and smiled, a genuine, pure smile lighting up her face. She loved this present; she had been tired of trying to find paper to write on, tired of ripping out the blank pages in the back of old books that were yellow and wrinkled. Leaves had worked, but they were scattered across her house – but no more. Now she had a book to write in!

She was glad at his comment about making the book – she would love to learn that, so she could replicate it and perhaps make more. Nothing she would do would be the same as the incredible craftsmanship of Bangle’s, but she was sure she could make some makeshift copies of the book. This one, however, would always be special to her – would always be the one book that all others in her life would be judged. She was so glad she knew Bangle.

First, though, a swim. And why not? The crystal clear pool was inviting, and Skye was suddenly aware of the hot sun beating down on her fur. Grinning at his remark, she took off her clothes and lay them in a neat pile next to her bag and book. Then, without another moment of delay, she dove into the pool after Bangle, popping up out from the water and shaking droplets everywhere.

ooc: Writing this at work >_>; Just had some quick inspiration. Crap post is crap, but they'll get better!

He was in the middle of removing his waist garment when the coywolf saw her jump in the water, and he let the mossy-green cloth fall to the earth. Deciding that his necklaces and other assortments would be fine, the male kicked away the garment near his work space. Pushing himself with his toes, Bangle jumped into the crystal clear water after her, diving in just as she came up to the surface. The male took this opportunity to swim behind her, cheeks puffed out in holding his breath, and playfully yank at her brown-tipped tail.

He knew she'd be mad now, but a part of him knew that Skye didn't mind when he pushed her buttons. He had to come up for air then, a few feet to the right side of the white female, bearing a large grin on his wet face. For a moment, he couldn't help but marvel at the snow white beauty before him, and it didn't occur to Bangle until now that this was the first he had seen her without clothing.

It was a shame, too, for the female that bobbed in the water a few feet away was curvaceous, and the clothes she normally wore were baggy, probably once belonging to humans, and hid Skye's overall shape. His orange-yellow eyes gleamed, with an emotion he couldn't quite comprehend, and he quickly looked away, realizing he was staring. Instead he looked down into the water, where he was just about able to see his toes from the surface, then looked back to the female. He rose one hand and pushed water towards her, creating a splash of water towards her.

Skye revelled in the icy cold water that she was submerged in. The small but deep lake offered a great relief from the hot sun that was beating down on her books and clothes, and even though it was unusual for this time of year for the sun to be so hot, she didn't question it. Rather, she just dove deeper into the pool, opening her eyes under the surface of the still but refreshing water.

Under the surface were colorful fish, gazing at her curved and furred form like they'd never seen a wolf before. She pushed her head up through the surface once more and took a deep breath, enjoying the sensations of the water. She'd loved water when she was a pup, and she still loved it now, as she swum and pushed water out of her way to venture forth in the blue mass.

Suddenly, she felt something - or rather, someone - tug on her brown-tipped tail. Laughing, she spun around and found Bangle grinning at her. The coywolf had removed his leafy garment that he wore around his waist, but left the many necklaces and earrings that adorned his Optime person. Skye continued to smile at the coywolf for a moment, seeing his face with its adorable trademark grin, and felt a giggle bubbling up.

Before Bangle could see what she was trying to do, she darted underneath the water and swam underneath him, coming up to the surface behind the male and tugging on his own tail, which was longer and easier to grip than Skye's.

The female wolf then swam so that she was in front of Bangle again and giggled, unable to control herself. Suddenly, Bangle then pushed a mass of water towards her, so that there was a small wave, a splash. It covered her face and her hair. Soaking wet now, with her auburn hair hanging straight down, Skye pushed the hair out of her face and tackled Bangle in the water, laughing.

This was just so much fun, just so much simple fun, splashing around in the water with Bangle and seeming to create a dance that was beginning to grow. A dance in the water, an elegant thing, but the way they were masquerading was no elegance at work - it was a simple thing, having fun. They just floated and bobbed in the water, which was allowed, of course - who wouldn't allow it? And if there was something more underneath that gaze, that yanking of a tail, that splash, that tackle, then that was just another layer to their dance.

ooc: 501 words. Got permission to slightly pp Skye!

The traveler no longer cared about the heat that beat upon them both, the water was refreshing and the female he was staring at was just as good as a cool drink of water. His face, already naturally red, he felt grow hot even in the crystal clear pool, and just as he turned away from staring at her, Skye submerged. Doing just what he had planned earlier, Bangle stuck his head in the water, looking around for that flash of white. But it seemed she had gone deep, farther than he could see with his eyes in the pool, and he darted his head back up, every inch of him now completely soaked. He shook his head, dreadlocks flinging around him, droplets flying every which way.

It was then that the coywolf felt the tug on his tail, and jumped a bit, more so at the touch than surprise - he knew who it was, and she returned the favor of his little game. His orange-yellow eyes blinked hard as she came back up to the surface, only inches from him this time, and he disturbed the water's gentle surface to splash her again. "If my tail were a worm, then I hooked m'self a pretty big fish, huh?" He joked into the warm air and chuckled, but just then he was taken aback by a sudden weight upon him, pushing him into the water. Instinctively he took a breath of fresh air as his arms went around Skye, both of them now submerged in the water.

As he regained his senses, the coywolf had realized she had tackled them both into the water. With his arms still around her, having had to grab onto something in the fall, he looked into her brown eyes, which seemed lighter in color in the water. Without missing a beat to their strange dance, Bangle removed his hand from her waist and snaked it up to one of her hands, lifting their intertwined palms up for her to twirl a full circle. The water created a beautiful spiral of bubbles and waves as he watched her move gracefully to him leading her, with help from the cool liquid surrounding them. Bangle put the same hand around her waist again and pulled her close, and even in the water he felt the body heat between them. He felt his entire body flush once again, inexplicably, as orange eyes met the depth of brown ones, as if they held an ocean all their own.

The grin stretched across his face again, though this time it looked even more silly, as he tried to keep the air maintained within his cheeks. Bubbles spurted from his lips, making their way to the surface, and the coywolf did his best not to laugh. Truthfully, he wanted to stay down in the water forever, but all these feelings and actions made him feel as if he was a voodoo doll, and the white female before him held the pins.

Sound was suddenly muted for Skye as she tackled Bangle into the water, making them both submerged into the crystal clear pool that they played in. The only sounds now were the sounds of a faint mumbling, like the water was muttering to her words she couldn't begin to decipher. She looked into the coywolf's golden eyes, feeling the urge to press him closer to her and embrace him in the water. However fast the urge had come, however, it left, and Skye felt her arm lifted by Bangle so that she could turn a circle in the water. She did, twirling and making bubbles rise from the depths to the surface in an aquatic dance of her own and the one who was next to her, now below her, and she quickly returned to the position that she was in before, looking at Bangle.

Suddenly, Bangle pulled her closer to him until they were just centimeters from each other. Skye's brown hues stared into orange depths, both like their own little pools of water, like they held mysteries that she could only hope to reach. The bubbles surrounded them until Skye's body was pressed against Bangle's, leaving no space in between. He was warm.

She saw as Bangle grinned, letting bubbles escape from between his lips, and she had to suppress a laugh. It was so silly a gesture, down here where the emotions and heat seemed intensified into a million times what it had been before. She stared into his eyes more, suddenly growing a bit serious. What was she feeling? What was this?

The urge to breath air came over her urge to hug Bangle close to her, however, and she pulled them both to the surface where she took a great gasp of oxygen. The air filled her lungs, and she looked back at the coywolf, letting a sly smile adorn her features. "Hi," she whispered.

488 words. WE'RE SO CLOSE AMAGA.

Bangle was certain she'd get a laugh out of his bubbly grin, and she did. His eyes lit up even more as she did so, though inexplicably so. Though he saw delight in her eyes, too, but knew this underwater dancing would not last for much longer. If only they had gills, for the coywolf did not wish to surface anytime soon. Everything around them was quiet except for the beat of their own hearts, and it was warm between both their body heats despite the cold water surrounding them. As soon as they had gone down into the pool, however, they had to come right back up, because breathing was important.

He felt Skye tug him up and he obliged without question, gulping fresh air the moment he could as he broke the water's surface next to the white female. Bangle shook his head, letting droplets, mostly ones that clung to his dreadlocks, fly all around. Turning his muzzle in her direction as she spoke, he quirked an eyebrow for just a moment. It was as if he was looking at the female for the first time - she seemed different. She spoke differently, and her eyes shined with a new and vibrant vigor. As if they had both surfaced anew from the water, so did these new and strange feelings that swept over him without reason. Only then did the merchant realize that their hands were still intertwined, and he looked down into the crystal clear depths of the water and slowly released her hand.

The coywolf cleared his throat somewhat, mostly because it felt like someone had stuffed it full of honey, or some other sticky substance that made him unable to speak. When he did find his voice, which was odd for him to lose to begin with, he nodded his head towards the working mat. "Let me show ya how it's done," he said, though it sounded like someone else speaking, in his opinion. Slowly, he strayed away from the female as he paddled back towards the edge, climbing onto try land once again. Only then did he shake his entire body, once he stood back up on two legs, and leaned over to tie his mossy-green garment back around his waist. Bangle felt weird, like he was going through an out-of-body experience, but he tried to shake it off as he once again shook his body free of water, his pelt fluffed up and damp.

Making his way back over to the work mat, he stood there and looked back to the pool where he left Skye. His hands urged her forward, wishing there was more time in the day to just sit around and laze. Truthfully, though, Bangle was glad his crafts were there, it gave him a distraction - and to not think so much about these strange feelings, and to get the images of white fur from his head.

<3 <3 <3 i know!!! and lol @ 'because breathing is important'

Skye giggled as droplets rained down from where Bangle was shaking his head free of any water, and she saw him in what seemed to be a stunning and new light - it was like in the short time they had danced their aquatic dance under the cool recesses of the pool, they had morphed somehow, or at least had their vision changed so that he was somehow more handsome and magnificent than he had been since they'd submerged together. He looked the same as he did when they got in - but her mental picture of him before and this person before her had nothing in common, had almost nothing to compare. It was strange, and something that Skye had never experienced before.

It seemed that the coywolf also thought something was amiss; he cocked an eyebrow at Skye and she giggled, putting up a hand to mask her laugh; it did no good, of course. She wondered why she always laughed in the man's presence; it was like the laugh that she adored so much and made him be the coywolf he was was contagious, even when he wasn't laughing. The look of Bangle quirking his eyebrow and looking at her made her giggle; it was an uncontrollable reaction. The male's eyes wandered across her face, and they were filled with a new light. Skye wondered what he was thinking right now - she knew it was impossible, but she found herself wishing that she could read people like a book.

She had never been very good with other people, always having to guess at what they're doing and settle with whatever emotion she thought fit the equation. She could never tell what they were thinking unless it was near obvious, or was in the tone of her voice - she could read tones averagely, but with facial features, she was more at a stand-still. She couldn't tell what to say at the right time most of the time, and she often ended up ending the conversation abruptly at random or accidentally saying something she hadn't meant to say. It could lead to embarrassing and awkward occasions that she often wished she wasn't a part of.

But now, as Bangle's eyes flashed, it was like she could see that he was experiencing the same thing she was. She saw as he slowly looked down at their hands, which were still clasped together, and he gently opened them. Skye's now empty hands floated in the water, and she looked back at the coywolf. Bangle cleared his throat, and then, as if nothing strange had happened between them at all, he suggested he show her how to create the craft that he had given her just moments earlier. Strange, she thought as she climbed out of the water and shook herself off, how it was just minutes before, and it seemed like several days. She glanced at her clothes and decided to wait until she was completely dry before putting them back on; she didn't want damp clothes.

She absentmindedly ran a hand through her hair as she sat down next to Bangle. She had never noticed his scent before, but it smelled of lots of different places, all on one person. He really had been everywhere, she realized as she knelt down in the grass to see what he was doing.

462 words. And I know right?! XD Okay, I think my next post will be the ONE. <3

It was amazing the things that water could do, it did more than provide an ample drinking substance, or even to clean oneself of dirt and even wounds. But it also had the power to change one, emerge anew, and resurface with a fresh outlook on the world and its inhabitants. That was exactly how Bangle felt at that moment, bobbing in the water with the russet haired beauty. As the coywolf took his seat and waited for her to join him, he turned away from the pool and shut his eyes for a moment, trying to control his thoughts. 'No, you'll be leaving when winter is through,' his mind nagged at him. There must have been something in that oasis, though, for a little voice in his head was beginning to tell him that his gypsy days were just about over.

The salesman did not want to believe it, and so forced it from his mind. When he opened his bright orange eyes, they reflected the waves of orange and brown hair that Skye had, as she took a seat next to him. She decided not to put her clothes back on, and they were dangerously close. From here, Bangle could still feel her body heat emanating from her damp fur, but he could not peel his eyes away from her orange locks. It was something about that color, the way they matched the color of his own eyes, that seemingly put the traveling salesman in a trance. When the female settled and look at him, ready for instruction, he shook his head, getting himself back into focus.

He was nearly glad that he could find himself something else to stay busy with, even though he was showing Skye how it was done. Bangle leaned to the left, brushing her forearm with his own bangle, feeling himself turn red with indescribable emotions as he reached for a rib bone of some sort and a sharp piece of rock. The rock knife, of sorts, was light to hold, but durable to cut away even at the densest of bone. "'Ere," Bangle managed to say finally into the quiet afternoon air. He gently handed her the two objects and let her get a feel for them. "That's what I made th' spine with," Bangle began, looking from the tools to her face. His eyes lingered there for a moment before continuing. "Yeh'll wanna hold that rock with two 'er three fingers, and go against the grain of th' bone ever so slightly. Jus' give it a shot!" He tried to make his voice as loose and light as it always had been, but for some reason it felt as if there was still water in his lungs, making him unable to speak normally.

THE ONE.

As the creamy white woman knelt next to the brown coywolf, she felt his heat emanating from his very fur, and wondered if she had gotten too close. She couldn't move away now - that would be rude. But she couldn't avoid his gaze as it fell upon her hair and down her body. She smiled a small bit and cocked her head a fraction until the coywolf cleared his throat and shook his head, looking back down to the crafts. Skye looked as well, but something told her, something she couldn't quite explain told her that this was less about how to make a book and more about something else entirely.

Bangle handed her a bone and a dagger that was made out of rocks. Skye had never thought of knives out of rocks before, although she had seen countless of the sharp ones - but she had always liked her knife. It held well in her hands, and the cool steel cut through almost anything that needed cutting. But the rock knife was sturdy, hardy, and looked sharp as well. She followed Bangle's instruction and cut against the grain of the bone, delighted when it worked out just like the spine of the book.

She looked up at Bangle, their faces just inches away from each other now, staring directly into each other's eyes. "Is this right?" she asked innocently.

332 words. BRACE YOURSELVES, READERS. LIFE CHANGING POST ALERT.

There was a hard lump in the coywolf's throat, but he wasn't at all nervous about how she'd carve the rib bone. He didn't even care if she butchered it, he had plenty to spare. No.. it was how close, physically, they were to each other. Was there something in that water? Whatever it was, it made him feel anxious and happy and worried all at once. In the back of his mind, he made a note to bottle some up for future sales.

The red and gray furred male watched her hands intently as she followed his instructions. After the ivory shaving fell away from its host, he noticed briefly that it was too thick a shaving, from his trained eye. Without even thinking about what he was doing, Bangle quickly slid over so he was behind the female, immediately taking both her hands with his. They were two bodies, working as one, as his muzzle came forward above her left shoulder, their faces nearly touching. It was like voodoo, one person controlling the actions and feelings of the other. But who was in control, the male couldn't say. Bangle was thinking more of a craftsman, then, as he helped her guide the dagger to the bone, making a smaller and thinner shave on the rib.

That was when she looked towards him, and suddenly it clicked. Their bodies were touching, and he could feel her body warmth despite her fur still being damp from their swim. Brown eyes met bright orange ones, both dancing as they looked to one another for seemingly different, and yet similar, confirmations. Skye had asked him if what she was doing was right, but in Bangle's mind, he was thinking she had asked the question to an entirely different subject, one that was making his heart beat against her back.

"Yes," he breathed. Orange and cream was all that Bangle could see, then, for everything before him swirled, as he leaned in to kiss her.

oh mah gah!!! aw this is skye's first kiss xD

Skye felt Bangle's arms wrap around her as he controlled her hands, making the slivers thinner and more precise than she had been doing. She realized her mistake, and began to work with Bangle's hands and arms, making it like they were one. She felt his body press against hers behind her, and had to suppress a shiver - they were very close now, even though all they were doing was cutting bone to make a straight edge. But she knew that wasn't all it was. And as she turned to ask him the question, and the space between them closed completely as they kissed, she knew that wasn't all it was at all.

She put down the bone and the knife and wrapped her arms around the coywolf, giving in to the kiss. She held it for a long time, savoring the moment. The half-coyote half-wolf smelled like the cool water they bathed in, mixed with feathers of birds and the rocks and the trees and everything she'd known, all mixed into one beautiful fragrance that she would never forget. She knew, she knew the instant they had gotten out of the water...she felt something more for him. Each time she passed him by to say hi, each time she gave him a shy smile or he gave her a wide-mouthed grin, each time their brown and golden-orange eyes met and created a spark of electricity between them, there was something more. And now that was coming together as they leaned in to each other to kiss.

But Skye remembered when Bangle had slowly let go of her hand, and she knew that no matter their feelings, they couldn't just keep kissing forever. She slowly pulled apart from the male, looking up at him and letting a small smile tug at her features. "Thank you for teaching me," she whispered.
