Izaak was doing what he often did, just running around and exploring. Well, not really even exploring. He was just out and about like always. He had recently just turned a year old not that he had done anything besides spend time with his brother. He had given his brother a couple of things that he had found for him and that was about it. Still, that meant he was on his way to adulthood even if not exactly maturity. After all he had a rank and did nothing at all to deserve it. Actually, he didn't even have the skill set in order to keep that rank. He didn't know anything about fighting, or even hunting for that matter. Actually, there was hardly anything that he knew. He really wasn't any sort of asset at all. Now it was getting to the point that it couldn't be blamed on age any longer.

Through some manner he found himself at the caverns. Hearing the noises in one of the caverns he poked his head inside before his whole body followed. He had no idea if it was occupied or not, hearing tale that there were those that chose to live in these things. Still, knowing wouldn't have stopped him anyways. He was quite the curious thing and so he moved inside to look around and trying to figure out where the noises were coming from. And for once he actually didn't have Blitzen with him, the reindeer had been sleeping when the boy had walked away from the mansion and so it didn't have the chance to follow.

"Hallo?" He called out into the open space that was big enough for him to stand upright in his optime form. "Ist da jemand?" He called out into the space once more. He couldn't see the back of the cave because of how dark it was. Still hat didn't stop him from stepping further inside. "Sie sind versteckt?" He had no idea that the sound he was hearing was actually the wind. He simply thought it was someone else playing a game.

Do you mind if we backdate this to early November? Gabriel is still in CD on this date in my timeline, haha.

Though he slept often, Gabriel rarely slept for long periods of time. It was a trait that belonged more to his wolfish blood than he would have liked to admit, but he likened it as a need to be vigilante. He had been sleeping for about twenty minutes when a commotion nearby woke him. Though he intended to dismiss the noise, it was persistent. The coy-wolf opened his eyes and pushed himself up with a low growl, unhappy with the matter but recognizing his duty to see to it.

The investigation did not take long. A few yards down from his current position was a peculiar looking boy with two tails. He recognized him from the meeting, and identified him as one of Cotl’s kin. How it was that that family managed to breed he would never know. Gabriel made his way towards the boy easily, his feet used to the uneven rise and fall of the terrain around the caves. “Are you looking for something?” He called out as he neared.

Izaak had no idea what he was hearing but it made him curious. What could be making those strange noises? He had never heard such a thing before. But then again he had never really lived the feral lifestyle. He had never stayed inside of a cave before. He had always been kept inside of a structure. So he had never heard the way that wind whistled through open spaces before. "Hallo?" He called out into the darkened area yet again. Whoever was making all of that noise certainly wasn't showing themselves.

But then someone showed up behind him. He turned and found the leader speaking to him, not that he realized exactly that it was the leader. "Ich hörte etwas und ich versuche herauszufinden, was es ist." He explained, speaking in German since that is what he always did. He always tried German first. Who knew, there might be more that could speak it or at least understand it. Still, it was his native tongue and the one that he was used to speaking. After all he still used it over English when he was around his family. It was also what he spoke to Blitzen in even though the reindeer wasn't present at the current moment.

The wind whistled through the cave again and the young coyote boy eagerly pointed into the cave. "Hören Sie das? Da ist es wieder. Jemand ist da drin. Sie sind versteckt und sich weigern zu kommen aus." He explained himself, telling what he thought was happening. He assumed that there was a coyote hidden inside of the cave and was making strange noises. Perhaps the other would be able to flush the hidden being out. "Gehen Sie sehen?" He asked the other, figuring that if the other went inside then he could make them come out to where Izaak would finally be able to see them.

Hows the 4th? And I figure we can make this a short thread, since I am a big lame and took forever to reply, and we have the Enky/Zaak one now. :]

Almost instantly, Gabriel regretted talking to the boy. He spoke in an unfamiliar language, but one that Gabriel recognized by tone. Cotl spoke it, as had his father. Gabriel struggled to make sense of what the child was saying, and looked from his extended hand to the cave and back. The coy-wolf flicked his ears and shook his head, speaking suddenly. “I don’t understand you,” he stated flatly.

But the boy was still pointing eagerly, and Gabriel looked forward and listened to the wind howl through the caves. He looked back to the odd looking child and frowned. “The cave? You want to go in the cave?”

Table & Coding © Anna; Sorry, it's been unusually cold where I am at (enough to actually get snow) and I'm anemic so I can't keep body heat so I've been freezing lately and unable to feel my fingers and toes. And the 4th works for me; 312 words

Izaak frowned when he was told that he couldn't be understood. That seemed to be a trend. One would think that he would catch on and give up on German around those outside of family. But no, that didn't seem to have sunk in with him. But then again no one had ever said that it would be easy to teach him. Some lessons were harder to learn than others. But at least he remembered those who couldn't speak German and refrained from it when speaking to them. Of courser the consensus was that hardly anyone could understand German. He didn't let it deter him though. He wasn't giving up his native tongue so easily.

"You goes too? Someones hides an make noise. I calls an dey noes came outs." He explained himself as best as he could. Trying to get across just what he was saying before. He had no idea that the wind made such strange noises. Instead his first thought was that someone that didn't belong was hiding out and refused to come out because they didn't want to be found. Because they knew they were doing wrong and didn't want to get in trouble for it.

"Goes fights an make came outs?" He asked of the leader as he continued to point eagerly into the cave. "Yous make dem listens?" At least he figured that whoever it was would listen to someone older. That they would listen to someone that had more authority than he had himself. Besides he also figured that he could copy whatever the other did for the next time. That was if the older male could scare whoever it was that was hiding out in the cave then Izaak would be able to pick up tips on just what to do. Obviously whatever he was doing wasn't right since he wasn't being listened to.

Language was a barrier between worlds, but he understood such universal motions as they were delivered by body signs. The boy behaved with the same jerky, uncharacteristic behavior as the rest of his blood and it bothered the often still Gabriel. He was more at ease among those who moved smoothly. Still, though, sometimes such stillness perturbed him—Enkiel alone managed to do this. His jackal nephew, who barely met his shoulder, was almost reptilian in his nature.

Izaak was more bird-like, moving to and fro as if electricity was shooting through his paw pads. Gabriel listened and did his best to decipher the meaning of the accented speech, and when he did, was unsurprised by the childish nature of such a thing. A low sigh escaped the hybrid, who had lost his patience for children when his own had grown old and lost their innocence. “There’s no one in there,” he said bluntly. “The wind makes the noise.”

OOC Ending
Izaak doesn't believe Gabriel at first, and the Inferni leader takes him inside to show him it is empty. Though this seems to settle the boy, Gabriel does not stay long to help him explore further. He warns him about falling through holes in the bottom, which seems to spook Izaak, and assumes a patrol in lieu of continuing his nap. Izaak probably goes off to play with Blitzen!
