+3 OOC: sorry this took me so long,

Niro was moving slowly, he was heading back to the outskirts of the pack of Dahlia after escorting one of his daughters back to her home. None of his other daughters had been around and he felt sad… he wanted to see all of them, get to know them, learn more about them, but it seemed only poppy had wanted anything to do with him at the moment… well he didn’t blame the other two he had only been in their lives for a day, and he’d not come back. Niro sighed, disappointed in his life right now… how could he let such things happen to him? He had three beautiful girls, and yet he had little say in their lives. It made him feel disgusted with himself. He moved along slowly, very slowly, though he had a mate waiting for him at home his children’s time was now, and he wanted to give them every opportunity to see him, talk with him, even play with him. He knew they would grow up… and grow up fast, but he would do what he could to be there for them.

Marahute sat on his shoulder, she seemed to feel that energy around him was not that of a happy wolf and she didn’t like him being un happy, but being a bird there was little she could do but be there for him, and that’s what she was doing right now, perched on his shoulder making small effectionate noises that Niro could only hear, it did sooth him in a way, but his urge to be with his children were much more prudent at the moment. She was doing a fine job trying to help and he showed her by scratching the bottom of her beak, which was one of her favorite scratching spots. He knew that she would not abandon him like he must be his kids…

“Daddy!”

Magnolia had just woken up from a nap in the frosted afternoon, lazily stretched out on the porch of her mother’s home. She had been desperately trying to stop napping in the middle of the day as she was too big for them now, but the day had been boring and there was nothing left to do. She was always looking for something to do! Poppy and Foxglove were always off doing their own thing, or were simply uninterested in going on adventures with her. Momma was always busy too... It never made any sense. No one ever liked having fun. Saul was a fun playmate, but he was older and probably didn’t want to play with her all the time. What about her dad? It was then when she saw him.

He was off in the distance – he wasn’t around much, but she could always recognize him from afar. The girl, moments ago in a post-nap stupor, suddenly jumped up and flew off the porch, breaking out into a run. Her little legs took her as fast as they could carry her, doing their best to avoid the underbrush and fallen twigs. The silver Magnolia girl started to pant heavily but kept on running. The little girl soon got close enough to her father, and tried to stop running so fast. However, inertia was not on the girl’s side as she kept on tumbling despite her desire to stop, and ended up right by her father’s feet. “Daddy! What are you doing here?” She yelled excitedly, without question as to why he wasn’t around in the first place – it was just the best surprise to have him here anyway.

ooc goodnesssss

Niro nearly kept on through the greeting to him, but he was not one that had ever been called daddy, so when a little grey fluffball came screaming at him, he stopped suddenly surprised at first but then he smiled. It was Magnolia, he was relieved, a second daughter had come to greet him, though he wished Foxglove would be with her, but it seemed she was not about right now. He smiled at Maggie, his almost match. She caught up to him and asked him why he was there,

I’ve come to visit you, I just saw your sister Poppy, but I wasn’t able to find you or Foxglove, I’m glad you caught me though.

He said kneeling down, and rubbing her head. He could see a little black patch just like his own mohawk but it wasn’t really a hawk just a small patch of black, it made him wonder if this was what he looked like when he was a puppy, well he was a male, but it didn’t look any different between male and female except for smell.

How are you doing little one?

Marahute was still sitting on his shoulder watching the scene unfold, she was interested in this miniature Niro, but she made no move to greet her. she knew that Niro had everything under control without Marahute doing anything about it. She knew that this was an offspring of his own and that he needed time with them even though she’d rather be the one getting his attention, she was learning to share it, first with Tobias; though she still fought with him; then with Amaranth, and now with these puppies. Niro knew she was finally accepting that she wouldn’t always be the center of attention, even though she was his favorite bird.

So sorry for the wait, finals are a bitch.

Magnolia’s father towered above the pup, realizing she would probably grow to be that big one day. Her neck craned to see her beloved mirror image. Niro hadn’t spent much time with Magnolia, but she was more than attached to him than she realized. At Niro’s comment about coming to visit, the little Monroe yipped playfully, wagging her tail in delight. “I’m glad I found you then. You need to visit more,” she said, not realizing the implications of what she was saying. Magnolia had no idea what type of life her father led or what he really was about. And none of that really mattered to the silvery girl, except that he was here and happy to be with her.

“I don’t know where Foxglove and Poppy are, I always find more fun playing without them,” she said stifling a giggle. At such a young age Magnolia knew she was the most adventurous and outgoing. Like when she went to find frogs with Saul. Maggie looked up at her father again, realizing she had to answer his question. “I’m good. Happy you’re here!” the girl let out another giggle, looking up at her beloved father with a loopy, puppy grin. “Who’s that on your shoulder?” She said, motioning to the bird. She wasn’t afraid of him, just curious.

WC: 222 OOC: Why didn’t you tell me that I was nearly a month late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

He smiled at her comment, feeling a rush of guilt, oh how he wished he could visit more, he was already angry at their mother for not letting him move to Dahlia to be with them, but to say they didn’t need him too.. it infuriated him to think about it. But he was here for the girls not their … mother.

I will do my best Maggie, I promise.

He said, a small chuckle coming from his mouth at the irony of it all, but he still wore his happy face. her answer as he expected it to be and it made him happy to know she was doing well. Then asking about the bird he looked at his shoulder as though he didn’t know what she was talking about.

Oh this is Marahute, she’s my companion. She is a golden eagle.

He said, he didn’t want to get too close with the bird, but he took her feet in his hands so that she would hang onto his arm and slowly moved her closer to his shorter self. He couldn’t believe the mirror she was to him, and wondered if this was what he looked like when he was a puppy. He couldn’t believe her resembelance. It was so uncanny, but it seemed rather right on the puppy itself.
