wc 412. Another aw from Jens. :3

So this is what it's like to be in a place that seems to accept you for who you are. A pack that has similar ideas and likes as you do. It was weird, because for the longest time it had been only him. Now and then he would find someone he could discuss the arts with on a deeper level rather than just an amateur outlook, not to many seemed to have a grasp on it. He had met an Austrian man in England who had played the Piano like it had been born with him. He missed him in the sense he missed the conversation, the sharing and the knowledge. Maybe in Cercatori D'Arte he would have that with these people too.

At this moment, it didn't matter. That was not the thing on his mind. The auburn and white male was standing in front of a small building, the door was covered with thick ivy vines bare from the winter. He was grumbling under his breathe from time to time as he would try and rip them free, clearing the door enough so it was accessible. The building had obviously not been used in quite some time. The few buildings around it seemed vacant too. Surely nobody would mind him making use of this home for the time? If they did, they were ridiculous. The brute gripped at the vines and tore them free, some tangled over each other to better try and stick to the old wooden door. He let out an annoyed grunt as he pulled what seemed like the last bit free. Well, hopefully the inside was decent.

The door opened with a long croak, it made the Irishmen cringe slightly, it sounded painful to his ears. The door opened without haste, it did open though, that was good. Glancing inside the man seemed content with what he saw. It appeared to be in decent shape, he'd explore the damage further though in a moment. The man sat himself down on the steps, it was that moment where he wished he had a drink, or at least a smoke. Both seemed like a heavenly idea. Who the hell did he have to talk to around here to get some? He'd probably have to leave the town to find it. And he would, it was not a maybe. The man would find access one way or another, here or somewhere else. He'd find it like an addict.

OOC here: C'mre puppy, it's time for stalkies!

Valinta saw the new guy and was intrigued. She was utterly bored, since she and J'adore had to go back to their respective packs, so she decided to follow him.
Her opinion of him was that he was pissy and needed a hug. So, Valinta, being the saint she is, decided that she would give him the hug he so desperately needed. So that's why she was currently climbing a tree to get into an upper window of his house.
Valinta's obvious logic and reasoning was that if she just walked in, he'd stab her. But if she snuck up behind him, he wouldn't! The fact that it might have been the other way around completely escaped the black-and-creme colored female. Obviously, it went her way.
Because wouldn't you stab someone that just waltzed right on into your house? Valinta would. But then again...
Valinta cast aside any negative thoughts about her 'mission' away. She easily scaled a tree and crept into the window, for once, completely silent. She was going to do this, and she was going to do this right.

Ever get that feeling that things are just...off? For some reason the auburn and white brute was getting that vibe as he removed himself from the ground and took a step into the old home. Though the floors and walls seemed to be in good condition, as he looked closer to them to try and find any obvious signs of ware that could be hazardous. No mold, that was a good thing. The man stepped further in, the house was chilled. The fireplace would have to be lit at nights if the male did not plan to freeze himself away each night. Well, it was better than sleeping outside, that was absolutely certain.

There was an odd groaning coming from upstairs, like the floor was being pressed by a new weight it was no longer used too. The orange eyes of the man shut slightly in confusion. What the hell was up there? He let out an annoyed sigh as he moved to the stairs. He looked at them, knowing very well they could give away. His hands gripped at the walls for support if one broke. He took them slowly, testing them before adding his full weight.Well, they passed, that was releaving. He turned the corner, eyes scanning for something, anything unusual. It seemed normal, but then there was black.

"Bloody hell woman, what are you doing up here?" His voice was a mixture of confusion and irritation. Hell, this was his now. She couldn't just climb in through windows. He just stood there, burnt eyes on her, watching for movement and ears intent on listening for words.

He was waiting for an explanation.

Holy shi--!

To say that the man, Jensen, scared the shit out of her would be an understatement. Valinta literally jumped, and squeaked loudly, as she had a tendency to do.
Jensen was huger than she had seen while following him. Maybe she was wrong? Maybe she'd get stabbed for sneaking in?
Please don't stab me! Valinta said. She really didn't want to get stabbed. She wanted to live. And be with J'adore. And live! Living was definetly among her top priorities on the to do list. Dying would mess that up.
Valinta backed away from him and reached back to climb out the window again, her gold eyes never leaving Jensen's huge frame, and felt a burning sensation on her palm. Then it became pain.
Oh! Shit! Valinta yelled, clutching her hand. There was a large slice in the palm, and the blood was starting to soak into and matt her fur.
Please help! Valinta said to the large man watching her. Then she hastily added, And please don' stab me. I don't want to be stabbed.

Oh lord, was this girl nuts? She seemed to be either just a little bit wild, or she was on something. Who tries to get in through second story windows from a tree anyway? Also, what was she going off about with the whole 'stabbing her' thing? Not only did he have nothing to stab her with, he wouldn't anyway. It was a bit crazy to think that he would. It made him wonder what she'd done in the past. "Listen, lass. I'm not going to stab you-" And then she was off, trying to get back out the window. What was up with this brod?

And just like that, she was back right in front of him. Bleeding hand and acting like it had just been cut off completely. The man brought his left hand up to his face, the tattoo on his shoulder seeming to dance with the movement. He let his hand move in motion to follow him as he turned around and moved back down the stairs. Well, wasn't this fun? He didn't even have anything to wrap it with. Hell, he'd barely been in the door, let alone settled with supplies. His eyes looked around and he sighed, well, either they would find something or she'd bleed a bit more. "Just calm down, you'll be fine. A little thing like that aint gonna kill you. Though the way you're acting it might as well be the same as if it would."

A cloth of some sort would be awfully handy right now.

Well, I apologize for feeling pain.

Valinta said snarkily. She didn't like it when people insulted her or yelled at her, and in face, it made her angry most of the time. The little female couldn't be angry for a very long time, but the large brute in front of her didn't know that. Which was preferable to him knowing her inside and out.
Which is why she was a bit of an enigma for the rest of the pack. No one really knew her, least of all herself.
But she didn't care, Valinta just wanted her hand fixed.
It hurts really bad, though. she said, trying hard to not whine. She was still convinced that he was going to stab her, and so she stayed a few feet behind him as he walked away. The tattoo he had was entrancing. Valinta just watched it as he moved, eyes wide, completely hypnotised by it.

Jensen to say the least was starting to get a bit irritated. She may have a grown body but her mind seemed to be stuck in the puppy stages. It was a cut, it would heal and she would live. Get over it and stop whining. That was his opinion anyway. By the way this woman was acting though you;d think he had swung at her with an axe. Why was she so jumpy? She'd been the one to break through his window and sneak inside. Shouldn't he be the one to be wary of the other?

"Well stop complainin' about it. It hurts, big deal lass." He looked at her with a slightly irritated yet somewhat amused look on his face. He could have fun and spook her out by pretending he was actually going to stab her if she complained again, or be a nice guy and just help her out. The choice was tough. He turned to face her completely and crossed his arms over his chest. "Stop bein' a whiny pup and I'll help ya, alright?" If she had anything to say about that which involved complaining, he might just actually stab her. He was certainly tempted to. That would make him popular. The leaders would just loooove him after that.

Nu, poshel na huĭ ....

Valinta swore quietly at the man in Russian. What had started as a good deed to cheer him up turned into a session of injure and insult, our two for one combo of the day! How lovely. Valinta would take two, please, and she'd like a large glass of wounded pride to go, as well.
She wasn't a pup. Valinta was not a pup. To say she was a pup was like saying that the man she was with was tiny. And Valinta said that, exactly. She wasn't complaining, just correcting him in a matter that was vaguely pissy.
But you know what, females were allowed their pissyness. If you took that away, you got pure unadulterated rage. As evidenced by Sky and Orin's short-lived fight. They were wolves, but females were so damn catty. For real. If you're going to decide to beat the living hell out of someone, do it. Stop worrying about pups that may or may not exist, and just snarl and pounce. Silly puppies.
Of course, Valinta was insanely glad that no one was hurt too badly. And Sky, by fixing up Orin, got some boost on the medic co-rank she craved! How wonderful!
Back to the present, and the large male leading her somewhere. Valinta's palm was still bleeding, and spatters of the deep red, copper scented fluid dripped onto the floor. The little pattering sounds were bothering her so much. So Valinta instead watched the rythmic movement of the man's muscles in his back.
She felt something she couldn't really explain, and mentally slapped herself in the face. Almost physically, as well. Valinta loved J'adore, she couldn't be running about willy nilly feeling random things for random males that were incredibly tall and strong and.... No! Valinta. SHUT UP.
Valinta had a furious expression on her face and slapped herself on the face. With her luck, the man would turn just as she slapped herself and saw her angry expression. Valinta didn't know what most males thought, as she had some semblance of intelligence. But she figured that'd give her inner turmoil away, right away. So she hoped to hell he wouldn't turn around, even though he probably would to see what the sound of her hand hitting her face was. Or so she thought.

Jensen decided that ignoring the muttering of Russian words was probably the best thing to do if he didn't want to completely snap at the girl. He wasn't stupid in assuming the words were insults. He gave them, and he could take them. They were just words, they didn't hurt him in any way. If insults hurt him, he would be ashamed to call himself a drinker, and Irishman and a man all at the same time. He could handle pretty much anything he'd come across. He'd had his ass handed to him a good few times in the past, but he didn't sulk over it.

The man was starting to rummage through drawers and cupboards in the kitchen looking for something he could give her to wrap her hand with. He had opened and slammed a few before he found an drawer with a long piece of fabric which he assumed used to be a drape. It would work. He tore it into smaller strips and turned to face her, orange eyes unimpressed as they watched her. He didn;t ask permission because he simply didn't feel like waiting for an answer. "Here." He muttered it quietly as he used her wrist to bring her hand closer. He started in the middle of the strip, bringing both ends in opposite directions until they met to tie. He tied it tight enough to both stay on and add enough pressure to the wound. "Now stop whining, woman. You'll live, the pain will go away. Now tell me, what the bloody hell were you doing up there?"

OOC: this computer's being a bitch. so. no table for me. Sad

The look he gave her was distasteful, and Valinta returned it. She didn't want to deal with pissed boys right now. She wanted to give him the hug he needed, then ditch him to go visit J'adore. Because she needed to talk to him.
She had come to a decision about being with him, and needed to tell him. She could right a note though. He understood Russian very well, so long as she didn't use any slang.
Valinta hissed in a breath as the pressure was applied to her palm. It hurt like hell. But the pain quickly dulled itself and was then ignored. Watching the large male with keen yellow eyes, Valinta really didn't want to answer his question, but figured she'd have to.
But he never specified language, did he?
"YA dumal, vam nuzhno obnyatʹ." she said stubbornly. In Russian. Of course Russian. Always analyze if someone would know a language you knew, and if they didn't, you spoke in only that language. Knowledge of any other languages was gone. You were a native to Russia, England, Italy, where ever.
Of course Valinta really was a native to Russia, but that didn't matter at all. No it didn't. Not at all.
Now if he could stop looking so handsome and.... well, yummy, then Valinta would be good. She'd be better than good. She wouldn't be cheating on someone she may or may not have been in a relationship with.
Valinta suffered horrible self-control, but the guilt she always felt afterwards was worse than anything that she could have done. It always was.

So this was what she did for him helping her, after she broke into his new, well, new to him, house, started freaking out over a small cut and bled all over the place. Even after he helped her bandage it up, she was still going to talk to him in Russian. Well, wasn't this girl a pocket full of sunshine. It didn't seem like he was going to get any answers out of her at this point in time. He looked at her and ran a hand across his face. Looks like he'd have to play the nice card for a while.

"Listen, I'm sorry, but you have to understand you broke in trough my window. So please tell me why you would do something as crazy as that?" He gave her a toothy smile because he crossed his arms over her chest. If this didn't get some response out of her he could understand he was pretty close to picking her up and throwing her out the front door like a child. She was acting like one, so why not be picked up and forced out like one? It would suit the situation pretty well.

Valinta sighed in an oddly frustrated manner, as if she was explaining something for the umpteenth time.
"I thought. You needed. A hug." she enunciated carefully. "You looked like you were having a bad day. And now I just realize that maybe you weren't. And you were having the best of days. But you're just an ass, so you'll look pissed instead."
Valinta, how ever ready she was to explain herself, didn't want to explain her crappy logic to him. So she made up an easy lie, that would definetly fit her at this time. "Doors are so passe. I don't want to go through a door. I prefer windows." she said.
Tacking on a truth at the end, Valinta murmered a quiet "It was part of my upbringing."
Which it was. After getting caught watching her father during his private meetings with the betas, she had been forced to tell how many times she'd watched the meetings. She had watched all of them since she learned where they were, and her father immediately set her on the track of espianage. Valinta had flourished in the company of her tutor, Danya. The Spy Mistress of the pack had been the best of the best, and only trained a few. Valinta had been one of those few.
A woman known for lying and being able to get out of any situation was like a second mother to Valinta, in her lukewarm, condescending way. But the woman had moments of great warmth, when Valinta had injured herself attempting something too advanced. But she had gone quickly back into her cold shell. Danya had never liked giving more attention than necesary.
Valinta looked at Jensen, and rolled her eyes at his large smile, but inwardly swooned. I am a spy. I have no emotions. He is a jackass. He hates me. she thought in a desperate attempt to not giggle like a loon.

Well it seemed that playing nice worked with this girl was the best way to go about getting her to talk in English rather than Russian. Though, it didn't seem to effect her on any level further than that. Whatever, that was fine with him. He wasn't trying to charm this girl, having her break into his house like that didn't exactly make him want to be your best buddy.

Her motives however did seem awfully strange. A hug, seriously? He had been fine, though frustrated with the vines. He didn't need a hug because of that. He raised an eyebrow at her and then laughed. Calling her a jackass like that was...amusing to him. She was going to call him a jackass, after all this? The girl had a sense of humor, even if she didn't mean it to be funny, he thought it was. He shook his head in an amused manor before he leaned back against the wall, exposed brick cool on his fur. "Well, if you wanted a hug, you just had to ask. Doors are not overrated. I suggest using them next time you enter my house, or at least give me a warning first." He crossed his arms over his chest, having some of her blood smeared on his hands from when he had bandaged her.

The girl had character, he had to give her that. "Names Jensen. Jensen O'Callaghan. Who might you be, lass?" Might as well get a name from her. His orange eyes watched her, trying to figure out just what made this girl tick. His large muscular frame bathed in white and auburn seemed massive against the wall, his 7' height making the house seem....short.

Valinta snorted. "I am called Valinta." she said, giving up a small smile. "Valinta LeStrange."
Shrugging, Valinta collapsed on an old chair that was nearby. "I don't know about doors." Lifting a brow from her place on the chair, she idly murmered, "I'll be sure to come calling next time I need a hug."
Stretching like a cat, Valinta looked at the house that she found herself in. She'd been too busy focusing on the fact that she was bleeding, he was annoying her, and he was overly good-looking to pay attention to the house, which had obviously been a nice one back when the li'l ol' humans had been struttin' they stuff.
But back to the large man in front of her. Jensen was really tall. Valinta just noticed that. Tall to the point of the embarresing his-waist-her-eye-level scenario she often dealt with. It was that way with Shawchert and J'adore, too. Pretty much all males. Valinta was a midget, it seemed. Among giants.
Really, really attractive giants.
Valinta noticed she was kind of staring at Jensen's crotch and snapped her gaze up. Damn it. she thought simply. There wasn't much else to think, really.
But she could give him a hug. He looked really huggable. Of course a chair would be neccesary, what with the whole heights issue. That was too awkward for Valinta. She was just too small to hug him. She'd end up hugging his leg.

OOC here!

Valinta, eh? Well, her surname seemed to suit her well. Strange was one of the words he would use to describe her for sure. He didn't care if it was mean, at this point, being nice in his head was completely out of the question. That line had been crossed a long time ago. He watched her sit down in the old chair and just watched her as she spoke. Well, at least she was going to warn him. Still, entering through a window wasn't the best way to greet him for the first time, or any other time after that to tell the truth.

Jensen stayed where he was, he had no intention of moving for a while. He knew that her face was right at an inappropriate level as she sat nearby. He didn't care much at all, people had seen worse. "So explain to me why exactly you thought I needed a hug and was compelled to break through my window to give it to me?" He hadn't been that grumpy or anything. Sure, frustrated with miles of vines, but not upset or anything near it. It took a lot to get the man actually upset. He'd been called just about everything ten times, had his ass kicked a number of times, had people run him out, and he'd been denied homes. His own family had denied him. Vines were not going to upset him even if they strangled him.
