A Bitter Sweet Return

Alone. One word that describe her life. After her village was ravaged and her family destroyed she had nothing left. Wandering through forest that seemed to never end with a shade of midnight that never left her sight had been her life for so long now. Iris tilted her head up looking through the break in the trees. The full moon put the light, lost with the turmoil of time, back in her eyes and if only for a moment gave her a peace of mind. It was getting late the moonlight illuminated a snow lite path for her to follow. Like everything it was endless, like the silence of the night and the silence of her voice. She hadn't had contact with another in so long she wondered if she even had a sound anymore. She kept her ears alert and kept her eyes scanning around her. She was getting quite hungry and was looking for a place to sleep when daylight broke. Night gave her the perfect cover in the winter, her white fur with its cream highlights made her become the snow. Suddenly she heard a crack echo through the trees. She crouched low, flattening her ears straight back."I might just get a good meal after all!". she crept along the snow covered ground. She made no sound, her father had taught her well. She remained in her Lupus form, no need to go big for a small creature, since those were the only animals that remained out at this time night. As she followed the footsteps and edged closer to her prey she smelt that it was not a rabbit at all. "Why on earth would someone be out so later?"

She approached the sound with caution the smells of other wolves thick in the air. Finally she had reached the source of the sound and the only thing that stood between the two of them was on thick tree trunk. she counted to herself, One, she took a breath, Two, she planted her paws and and cleared her mind, Three! she sprung from behind the tree and tackled the wad of white fur and crushing it with her teeth, once she tasted blood and she let her thoughts return. Oh! she was surprised but happy, Dinner!! she said static and relieved."You scared me little one!", she laughed talking to the limp fur mass as she placed it on the ground. She smile, couldn't remember the last time she had felt anything, one little shake up to the nothingness had given her an emotion. Then reality hit, she had smelt wolves, but there were none present, for now. she was at a border, and if she was found it would be trouble. "Time to eat and run Iris" she thought to herself, "Get your senses back time to stop dreaming. There isn't one thing to be happy for. Get a move on it". With that she picked up her Dinner and started and resume her search for a place to rest her head for a moment if anything.

OOC: Nyx is gonna stalk you <3 then eat you for dinner! <3 you

As the sun dissipated behind the mountains of Anathema, Nyx trotted in her lupus form. Night was her most active time since she had began to settle down and it would begin at sunset. It was beautiful in the sky tonight, but she did not appreciate it's beauty tonight. She hadn't had much sleep because only nightmares came to her. What was going on? Nyx did not know at all, she hardly ever had nightmares. She only felt that she needed to be outside in the cold air. It felt refreshing as the cold air hit her face and ran through her dark fur as she walked down the slop steadily until she came to see the snow covered trees. As she approached the great trees, she let her mind clear of the nightmares and thoughts that plagued her mind tonight. Closing her bright chartreuse eyes, she paused underneath one of the massive trees. /p>

As she began to focus on her breathing to clear her mind she felt better almost peaceful. Then she caught the scent of fresh blood in an inhale of cold air. She wondered who would be out hunting at this time, maybe one of her pack members? Nyx had yet to meet all of them and eagerly reopened her eyes, thinking that this may be the opportunity to do just so. Perhaps it was not a pack member who had recently killed. The though entered her mind quietly, yet she decided to find out the source. Following the scent of the fresh blood made her hungry as well but she payed no mind. Her main interest was to see who, or what had just killed the creature. Nyx walked soundlessly on the snow keeping her senses alert and ears perked.

The scent of the blood grew stronger as she approached. She caught another scent, a females, one that she couldn't put a finger too. Yet somehow familiar. There was no strong scent that indicated she was currently part of a pack. A loner? Nyx crouched as stopped behind one of the trees, spotting the female at last. The white female blended with the snow so well, it was next to impossible to make out her shape. She spotted marks of red on the snow and on the lips of the white hybrid. Hearing the female ramble to herself was humorous to Nyx but she agreed with her that she should get a move on it. The white female seemed quite odd to Nyx, talking to herself like that. But, no matter who this female was she should not be on Anathema's land and defiantly not taking prey. Still, the hybrid seemed oddly familiar and decided not to yet approach her. Instead she was going to follow her and then make her decision.

Nyx moved silently behind her, like a shadow herself making sure to stay behind the trees. Curiosity was getting the best of her as she was easy to follow. Blood trailed from the kill upon the snow in the wake of the ivory colored female. She seemed oddly familiar to her scent, her voice- something was missing and Nyx couldn't figure it out. She narrowed her yellow green eyes in frustration as she maintained a safe distance from her in cover of the trees.
