She had been wanting to go and visit Saul for a while, but hadn’t found the time or strength to do it lately. Addison had met the younger male when he had come injured to her borders and she had cared for his hurt paw, which had been bleeding at the time. She wasn’t much of a healer and knew next to nothing about herbs, but she had done her best to clean it up and get it bandaged correctly. Paws were pretty dirty things, so it had taken a little while. But he had seemed much happier when she was done, as if it hadn’t hurt him as much. The girl had taken Saul into her own cabin, inviting him into her own home to patch him up, and he had told her that she could come up to Dahlia for a tour and some good conversation after she’d helped him out. She hoped that whoever met her at the border would accept her story about Saul and would allow her to come in and find him or would tell her where she could locate him if he was outside of the territory.

The problem lately had been her sickness. She was wondering if she was coming down with some kind of a bug; she had been gaining weight lately, which she found to be a little odd (she usually burnt off just as much as she ate, and neither gained nor lost weight) and had been feeling very tired. Most days she would wake up, go about doing her pack duties, and then return to her cabin. It was a routine for the girl. But now she found herself exhausted after doing the simplest of tasks. There was a portion of fence that a sheep had run into that had gone down and she’d been working on that the day before for a couple of hours. There was a bit of lifting and working with her hands out in the cold, but that had never bothered her before. When she’d gotten back to her cabin, however, she had felt more tired than ever before and had ended up going straight to bed.

Snow crunched beneath her feet as she walked, eyes observing the sun as it began to sink below the horizon. She hadn't walked very quickly, it seemed; she had hoped to get here earlier than she had. Addison stood in her optime form this day, short, a long woolen trench coat covering most of her body. She hadn't made the coat herself but her scarf and mittens she had. She was skilled at knitting, among other things, and was learning how to make other things as well. The next thing that she would construct would likely be a hat; her ears got cold on some of her walks, and her coat didn't have a hood to it. The items that she did make were of fine craftsmanship, though, keeping her hands and neck warm as she went. She wrapped her gray scarf a little tighter around her neck as a gust of wind came through the trees toward her, blowing the ends of it around a bit.

Addi had woken up early in the morning to begin the trek to Dahlia, expecting that it would take a good portion of the day, and was just now reaching the borders of the foreign pack. It smelled like Saul; or, Saul had smelled a lot like Dahlia. She thought that she could pick out his individual scent amongst all of the others, anyway. She hoped that she’d come across him rather than anyone else, carrying a backpack on her back that contained a gift for the brown male. Addison wasn’t much of a drinker and she had come across a few bottles in a back closet in her home that were unopened. She had partaken in alcohol a few times and had enjoyed it, but didn’t have too many friends in the Valley that she would open up a bottle with. She would have to trust the wolf to do that around them.

But Saul was a buddy of hers, surely he’d have a use for the bottles. He had been very friendly when she’d met him, and she figured that he would have more than a few friends in Dahlia who he could share them with. Maybe even her, if their visit went well. She had felt at ease around Saul despite his state of injury and his slightly stressed words that night. He had been afraid of what he had seen, the impaled rabbit that he had spoken of. Hopefully he had gotten back to Dahlia safe and sound and had gone to bed or something, to clear his mind and rid himself of the stress he had been feeling over the rabbit and his injured foot. Addison wasn't sure what his reaction to her arrival would be, and hoped that she might allow her to stay the night before sending her on her way back to Phoenix Valley. She didn't want to travel at night unless she had to.

One blue and one gold eye searched over the territory before her as she stood just beyond the borders to the Dahlia de Mai pack. She waited for around an hour, unsure if anyone was near, before lifting her muzzle to the sky and letting out a low howl. It was probably best to alert them of her presence, anyway, so that whoever found her wouldn’t think that she was sneaking around. She hoped that it would be Saul but knew that it wasn’t a guarantee that the brown male would be the one to find her. He had his own duties to attend to, after all, as a member of his pack. The girl cleared her throat and sat down next to a tree, leaning her back against it. She was pretty tired from the walk over…she found her eyes closing after a few more minutes of waiting, and she drifted off into a light sleep.
