Dated 6th febuary. morning time

Jace was worried. It was snowing real bad, but it didn't bother Jace much, her fur kept her reasonably warm. This was the type of weather she thrived in, she wasn't worried for herself. No, she could happily live in this weather for the rest of her life. She was worried for Temo, and the rest of the pack. She didn't know how many of them had thick fur like she did but she knew that Temo wouldn't survive long out in this weather, a few hours tops. She stopped in her trek, the white flakes swirled all around her, the harsh wind dragging at her thick, thick fur.

Throwing back her head, she howled out to the sky, her voice rising in volume until it piqued over the screaming wind. She called and called, again and again. Getting more and more worried the longer her call went unanswered. Shoving her nose into the snow she winced as the coldness penetrated into the only part of her unprotected against the snow, ignoring the numbness seeping into her nasal passages she inhaled, searching for a scent. She started walking again, weaving back and forth, her nose to the ground searching for any sign of life within the vast storm, the sack of moose meat dragging in the snow behind her.

Here she comes to save the day! lol

Ren had been growing wary of the weather. It seemed to be too rough anymore. Rumors of people starting to get lost had gotten to the womans nerves. She didnt know what to do, the internal need to protect a pack that wasnt hers was always hard. She knew her place, she never wanted to claim anything more than what she already had. But the storm had made her to shaky and ansy to stay in the house, the deep, in-gut feeling that something bad was going to happen sat in Rendall's stomach like a hard stone. She continued to go out on her porch and watch the snow falling quietly, it wasnt too bad here yet, but she was near the edge of pack territory, more inwards, they were getting hit pretty bad.

Ren sat on her porch for a while longer, cursing all the little flakes that continued to accumilate quietly. And then, faintly on the wind, a quiet chime came to her ears. Ren picked up her ears and held her breath once more, curious and equally horrified as to what it could be. Another tiny whisper of a howl entered her ears and, having her fears confirmed, Ren raced inside to grab a blanket and her cloak. As fast as she could she leaped into the snow, racing accross the terrain trying to reach the howl. She pushed through the snow huffing quick hard breaths as she fought the oncoming snow that began to pick up and lash into her face as she continued deeper into pack territory.

The wolfess seemed to run for what seemed like an eternity, she tried to listen for the howl but nothing came to her ears but the scream of the wind. She stopped, the snow up to her belly, and closed her eyes, listening, trying to pin point the howl again. As soon as she calmed her nerves and cleared her senses she heard it again, more desperate....and closer. Ren stuck her nose in the air blowing in her face and unwillingly sucked in the icy air. A very faint smell entered her nose...She could barely catch it, she almost broke down when she did though. She was on the right track. Knowing her voice would do no good unless she was much closer she ran in long spurts, stopping now and then, trying to keep track of the smell. Sometimes she would catch a good wiff but then she would mad dash and have to trail back to try and find it again.

Finally, with her senses as frozen as her feet, Ren fell in dispair, not sure what esle to do, then as though the distressed wolf seemed to read Rendall's mind it howled once more, a desperate cry. At the sound of the call, Ren's body found a new strength as she manage to stand and lift her head high. THe wolf was very close to her now, the scent was everywhere around the female. Ren tilted her head and pushed all her strength into her call, howling loudly to the wolf near her. The snow whiplashing everywhere around her, She only hoped that the wolf would help in Ren's search for them.

OOC: Oh noes, the evil snow comes xD

WC: +500

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was definitely something awfully wrong with the weather. The Secui had been thinking about it some days ago, but the speed in which the speed was worsening marked his suspicion correct. Back on Alaska if the weather was to change abruptly it could only mean something: a snowstorm, and the worst ones always start as apparently a light breeze.

He knew he should be looking for some kind of shelter before the worst of the storm came by, he wasn’t the one to sit down safe when he knew someone else could be in danger, when he knew he could do something to help. He had once went through a violent snowstorm, the price was not only almost his life but once of his old pack members, maybe the only one that had ever shown sympathy enough to show him an easy way out of pack’s territory.

Large paws moved swiftly through the snow clad ground, almost not giving each other time to get into their correct position before moving. He had been searching for quite some time for any sort of distress, his mind glad of not finding one at the moment.

Then there was the howling. His body almost crashed against the ground when he forced his sprint into a sudden stop. Both his ears and head moved around to try to find the voice’s source above the raging sound of the angered wind. That voice, something inside his head was telling him that he knew it. Jace! It was definitely hers, the same female hybrid he met not so long ago at the pack’s borders.

The gray beast growled once the wind not only was carrying the sounds away but also the scents. Heavy skull was shot towards the sky, a group of desperate howls sent to the sky in a hurried try to send a message back. He didn’t stopped for an answer instead he forced his body back into a sprint; he had to arrive, and fast.

It was not into some time until his frozen nose could finally catch something, the smell of two females and food. He knew one of the scents and the other came unknown. He came yet to another halt, the smell was there but he didn’t know from what direction, the wind was being treacherous as it was carrying it all around the place.

It was not again until Jace howled again that he could pinpoint a general area of his location. When the scent came to him stronger he gave voice to his worry

“Jace! Where are you?!”

he knew that the possibility of the female hearing him over the screaming wind was low, yet he had to try. He called for her a couple of times before circling the area in a quickened pace. He may seem like a total paranoid right now, but he was already familiar to these kinds of storms. If someone was not especially careful one could get lost on the mess the snow, wind and the destruction it caused would bring.

Temo Wolfe

Temo was concerned for Jace. It's been all day and night that he hadn't seen her. The storm had raged all night and was still raging around him. He was following his scent back to where they parted company. The cold was starting to pierce through his coat. Where he was from had milder winters and his hide wasn't meant for this low of temperature.

The wind fearcely swirled the snow around him as it howled in his ears. Then he stopped and looked up, his ears swiveling on his head. That wasn't the wind howling, that was a wolf howling above the wind. As he listened, his ears focused on the direction the howl came from as he realized it was Jace.

Temo took a deep breath and looked up into the swirling snow that was falling from the sky and added his voice to the wind. He gave a long, mornful, "I heard you and I'm here" howl. He shivered for a second as the last of his howl faded, then pushed into the snow in the direction of Jace's howl ignoring the cold as it creeped through his fur. Not even pausing in his progress when he heard other howls. They were from almost the same direction as Jace and they could search them out after they meet up.

Jace panted now, she was running through the snow following the scent that caught in her nose, but it was fast fading. Her relief at finding Temo's scent quickly turned back into distress and worry, was she going in the wrong direction? She carried on, the snow getting deeper so that she had to leap over the drifts that were forming.

She shifted into Secui form and immediately felt the benefits of a bulkier body wondering why she hadn't done so before. Planting her feet firmly into the ground she raised her head to the white and grey sky, letting loose her voice again to those who could hear it. As soon as she stopped she listened, hard, her ears swiveling constantly

The perked as she heard an unfamiliar howl, she paused and raise a paw from the ground and howled back. Any company was good company, maybe this wolf was lost and she could help. Jace decided it was better to stay still since running around would most likely make the two wolves miss each other in the blinding white.

Another series of howls joined in the fray, her tail wagged as she recognized Falgar's voice within the howl, ignoring the urge to rush towards the two wolves she kept on howling at regular intervals, relaying her position. then she did hear his voice, calling out her name,

"FALGAR! I'm over here" Then she heard the howl of the male she had been searching for, she howled back to him, calling out his name, relief shooting through her body. But her relief was short-lived as she heard a loud snap coming from behind her. She whirled around to see a tree that was leaning dangerously over, the snow caught up in its branches too much for the old tree to stand, beginning to give way.

Fear grounded her, locking up her legs and numbing her brain as it began to fall towards her with groans and creaking noises, a small gasp escaped her lips, ripped away by the wind and flung into the storm as its last tethers to the earth gave way and it plummeted down on top of her, her scream of terror echoed out into the storm before cutting off sharply as the oak crushed her into the ground, her vision going black.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frustration was slowly taking hold of Falgar’s mind. No matter how much time he circled the area he was unable to find the exact location of the female hybrid. This was until he finally heard her calling out for him. Using his already moving paws he drastically changed his direction, this causing him to slide a short distance and almost sink in what seemed to be a snow filled hole. Giving a quick whiff to the crazed air he could still sense the unknown female’s scent, another one that seemed to be Temo and Jace’s. He could search for the other two later, his attention was right now focused on her.

He forced his legs faster, wanting to reach her before some danger could fall on her. His fears where strengthen when he heard the loud snap from a falling tree. What if she had been under the tree’s full falling force? With a loud growl he forced his legs even farther, closing his eyes as the effort and the cold was making them hurt.
A spike of pain shot through his brain, Falgar didn’t really knew if it was because the terrible shout coming from Jace or for the whole strain he was putting his body under. When he arrived at his location he began searching for the hybrid, only finding the fallen tree and no apparent sing of her. Black nose was switched between being pressed on the snowy ground and towards the sky, trying to find her.

Reaching the fallen tree he could finally fully catch her scent. As he had feared the tree had fallen right on her. He howled once towards the sky, a desperate call for help, and then he got to work. Using both his claws and fangs he tried to make a hole large enough to see Jace. He didn’t quite know how much time did he spend doing the same, but each time he advance more debris and snow would fall.

After a time he didn’t knew what he was doing, his mind entering a trance. When he woke up from it he had a coppery flavor on his tongue, blood. And not any blood, it was his own blood falling from injuries caused by the multiple splinters and cuts on his maw, bloody paw prints plagued the area around him and the broken wood of the fallen tree. By the large claw markings on the wood it seemed he had tried to move the tree from its current position with no results.

He ignored the pain the injuries and the splinters were causing, the cold helping a lot in numbing it down. And yet with everything he had done until now he felt useless. He couldn’t do anything, his paws being of no use to lift the tree. And in him he knew he had to change to his Optime, no he couldn’t. He hated that form with all his being and the mental block caused by the same feeling made it hard for him to concentrate on the change. He kept attacking the tree, hoping for someone to come by and help.

The Goddess must have been watching over Jace that morning for as the tree fell towards her, she stumbled backwards, falling into a groove of the earth hidden by the snow. Instead of crushing her flat the tree was instead stopped by the earth, sealing her in the small hole in the ground, although she did not escape unscathed, her leg was trapped underneath the tree as well as her tail, and one of her ears had been shredded by the branches, the trunk colliding with her head enough to knock the sense out of her.

The first thing Jace was aware of as she came to was the sound of digging, a harsh panting and the stench of freshly spilled blood. She couldn't move at all, the tree pressed right up against her. She couldn't feel one of her back legs or her tail. her ear was throbbing and she whimpered loudly. Her nose was numb, and the only thing she could smell was the blood, she had no clue who or what was currently trying to dig her out or if it was her own mind hallucinating.

"Hello? Who's there? Somebody help me please" The tree gave out another groan and a few branches snapped and then the tree was pushing down on her even more, she tried to draw in a breath only to find that shallow breaths were all she could take, the tree was pressing on her too much to expand to lungs anymore. Panic and claustrophobia raced through her body in time to her rapidly beating heart, her limbs began to shake and convulse as the fear gripped her mind completely.

A hard pain began to radiate from her leg as the tree crushed down upon it. She yelped and began to thrash and wriggle as much as she could, she didn't want to die like this, not pinned underneath a damn tree, she was supposed to die of old age or in a fight to protect the pack, not just a day after she joined. A few tears rolled down her cheeks, the hot salty water cooling instantly and stealing the warmth from her muzzle, just as the snow at her back was doing as it melted into her fur and froze against her skin.

The tree settled into its new position and she was able to calm slightly. An attempt to move backwards had her yelping loudly in more pain as her leg twisted, sending lances of fire through her body. her forepaws clawed at the bark in front her her, trying desperately to create more space.

Splinters and pieces of tree rained down upon her as she attempted to dig upwards through the tree with little success. Soon her paw pads were torn and bleeding, the crimson blood dying her grey paw fur a strange dark red color, slivers of wood had embedded themselves into her fur, unloess shaken out soon they would work themselves into her skin and cause infection.

Temo Wolfe

Shivering Temo pressed on, plowing through the snow. The cold wind swirling the snow around him seemingly driving the cold deep into his bones. He wondered where his paws went as he could not feel them any more. But that didn't make sense, his feet were where they were supposed to be. Temo stopped, he thought he heard a scream far off in the direction he was going. It sounded like something broke followed by a scream that was cut off, but he wasn't sure. He shook his head, what was wrong with him. His senses seemed to be dull, not working like they should. His vision was like looking through a tunnel. Noises seemed to be far off.

Forcing himself to move, he continued through the snow. At least the plodding helped him forget that he was shivering. Why was he shivering? He had a thick fur coat to keep him warm. Why was he cold? Was the snow melting and soaking into his fur? He couldn't think straight. His thoughts soon narrowed down to one thought: Find Jace. That was all he thought about. He didn't show it or admit to it, but he was worried about her.

He forced each step in the snow. He was not going to give up. He thought he heard voices drifting by but wasn't sure if it was the wind playing tricks on his ears or actual voices. His nose sampled the air but the wind, too, seemed to play tricks with the scents. In the swirling snow and cold wind, he wasn't sure any more. He could be miles away or walking on their heels.

good lord you guys....Falgar my apologies for Rens shoving lol.

Ren heard a hard crack and a few other noises, moments later she quickly came into view of the scene, She saw a wolf whom she didnt know, A male that was close to her age, she saw him attacking a fallen tree, he looked injured and as He howled she ran quickly towards him. Only then did she see the spot of fur poking out beneath the tree. She quickly approached him and put her hand against his back. Lifting her hood to show that she was nothing to fear. Ren nudged him to the side for a moment, pushing the blanket into his hands. "Rest. Your no good to me or the trapped one if you hurt yourself further." Ren looked things over quickly, the male did a fair job to the tree, she dug at the ground pushing the dirt and snow powerfully away from her. She heard the female just barely. and yelled loud enough, hoping for the unkown one to hear her. "Its going to be alright! Stay calm well get you out of there in no time!" She didnt know what kind of shape the trapped one was in but she wasnt gonna let it slow her down.

Suddenly an idea popped into her head, she looked around to try and find a large branch as she dug furociously at the frozen ground. Finally she turned to the male "Can you help me find a large stick? Almost like a log? We can get them out sooner if we can find one, If you can do that, I'll keep working on trying to get underneath the tree." She wasnt sure if the male listened or not, but she at the moment didnt care, She desperately needed to get to the one underneath the tree. Ren could feel her pads starting to hurt alittle and she pushed herself further, trying to ferverously reach the trapped wolf. Her muscles ached and she snarled, calling on the more dominant side for strength. In only a moment her body responded, her muscles filled with adrenaline and she began to power stroke at the dirt. Hoping that her efforts were bringing her closer to her goal.

fail post >.<

She stopped her feverish scratching against the underside of the tree, it was getting her nowhere. She twisted her head as she heard someone shout words of comfort at her, she didn't know the voice but she could tell it was female. She started as she heard digging next to her, wait..didn't they know the embankment of earth they were digging at was the only thing keeping her uncrushed? Scratching around she shouted out to the helpful but misguided female,

"WAIT!! Don't dig there, if you dig through the embankment there will be nothing holding the tree up. It'll crush me!"

Trying to push up against the tree with her paws, she was surprised when it moved just a little and she could breathe some easier for a few seconds until the strength in her paws gave out and the tree settled back into place against her chest. She panted trying to get as much air into her body as possible, she was really worried now, she had heard Temo's howl earlier he should have arrived by now, again she called out to the female,

"Please, can you help call for my friend, he's not built to survive weather like this, I'm worried he's gotten lost.

OOC: Don't worry about it Ren, he would must likely killed himself against the tree (not on purpose of course) if she wouldn't have xD.

WC: 500+

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each time his weight was pressed on the now broken tree his agony only spread further. Sometimes white flashes of light appeared on his sight caused by the intense pain of his wounds, yet this was nothing in comparison to his worry for the trapped female.

This was the moment when he felt useless, no matter how much he bit, clawed, pushed or jumped he hadn´t made even a minimal advance. Jace’s confused voice was what woke him from his time of misery.

“Jace! It’s me, Falgar!”

this gave him another rush of energy to keep trying, even if it were to bring no results.

His head snapped at random directions when he felt a sudden weight on his back, only stopping when his eyes found an unknown female. His mind was way too blurred to even make sense when Rendall pushed him aside and gave him a blanket, only snapping out of it when she requested a log.

“A log? Yes I can find that”

almost as if he were an automat he ran forward with blanket draped on his back, stopping only when he saw an uneven spot on the snow, hoping it to be what he was looking for.

He circled the area in extremely tight circles; he couldn’t afford getting lost on the blizzard with the current situation. Not that it was hard to find him, a bloody trail was painted wherever his front paws where to step, but he didn’t want to tend to his own wounds now, he could do so later.

And then there it was. It seemed to be part of a tree that had fallen recently and for its size it seemed to be part of a huge one. It was a large log that was cut in half along its length, the location of the rest of the tree was a mystery. The problem was how to move it.

Falgar groaned, no matter how much he pulled with his maw he could only move the log a few inches before the pain overcame his senses. There was no escape, he had to do it. Fighting against his own metal block he focused. It was awkward since some days ago it had not been so difficult to shift, most likely caused by his curiosity. He waited for everything to get in order before moving again, the softest of growls escaping his throat, he felt wacky while on two legs.

It took him quite some time and more injuries on the inside of his hands but he finally got the log near where he remembered that Jace and the other female where. With one last push he fell to the ground, it was until now that he could feel the exhaustion weighting down his shoulders. He took some brief moments to catch his breath before getting back up while shaking his head; this was no time to rest.

“I found this log, would it work?”

he found himself needing to raise his voice to a shout, the wind would carry away most of his words if he didn’t. He arrived in time to hear Jace’s plea to find someone, most likely meaning her travel companion Temo. Without thinking it twice he shot his head towards the sky, howling for the male hybrid, wherever he was as the wind was carrying away any kind of scent of noise from both parts.

out of character text

Ren couldnt help but snarl in frustration when the female told her why she couldnt dig into the ground. There had to be another way! Ren sniffed around for a moment, there needed to be a way to get the girl out before the tree crushed her. When the girl plead for Ren to find her friend she sighed. This night couldnt get much worse. She nodded for a moment. "Dont worry about your friend well find them, they cant be far off. Right now worry about yourself." She used her frustration as strength to let out a almost outraged howl. Calling the other lost one to her. She swore under her breath and promised that when this was all done she wasnt letting the trio out of her sight until the snow storm let up. They injured themselves the more they tried to help each other.

Rendall turned to see the male bringing back a large log, she walked over and nuzzled him in thanks. "This will do, we have to somehow find a way to get it under the fallen tree so we can get her out." She felt almost overjoyed when the male howled for the lost one, she thanked the spirits that at least someone was being helpful. Ren shifted into optime form and stood with the male, she nodded to him and moved back to where the female was trapped. She turned her annoyed gaze and tone towards the female. "Look, were gonna need your help here too, We have to get a log underneath this tree dowt to where you are. It'll keep the tree supported and give you enough time to get out. Now. can you look around as best as you can and tell me where the tree has the least support beneath it?" She looked over at the blanketed male. "If we can find a place where the tree doesnt rely on the embankment for support then we can manuver the log underneath and get her out."

Temo Wolfe

White. Nothing but swirling white. Cold.

Temo stopped and listened. Was that a howl? Or was it the wind? No, it sounded different than the wind, and it sounded closer. He tried to howl an answer but couldn't get the air into his lungs. Shaking his head, he wondered what was wrong with him. He started forward towards where he thought the howl came from. Whomever it was could help him find Jace. He pressed on through the snow. The endless snow. Suddenly the ground was gone and he falls into the dirt.

Temo laid in the dirt, the snow falling onto him. It felt good to his tired muscles to lay down, to rest. Sleep. He wanted to sleep. No, he couldn't sleep, he had to find Jace. Dirt. Why was he laying in dirt when all he had been seeing was snow. He slowly got up onto his feet, so tired, but can't rest. Looking around, temo found he fell into a shallow trench that was recently created, the snow just starting to cover the ground.

It was a long trench. It seemed to go off into invisibility in the blowing snow. He followed it for a few yards and it still kept going. A tinge of blood wafted into his nostrils. Smelling around, he found spots of blood in paw prints. There is someone near by! It didn't seem so cold any more. With some renewed energy, Temo set off following the trench and blood.

Cold again, his energy sapped. Voices? Was he hearing voices or was it the wind playing tricks on his ears? Was he seeing others or were they tricks on his eyes by the evil snow. He stopped at the end of the trench, a log in his way. He stared at it for a moment trying to comprehend why it was there. Then looks up at the dark shapes that he thought he saw, "Jace, is that you?" he whispers.

*runs in guiltily* sorreeeeeee >< 345 words: 3 points

Jace winced as Rendall's howl echoed around her head, the place where the tree has smacked into her cranium was now throbbing in time with her ear and the pain shooting from her leg. Anger surged through her when the female turned an annoyed voice to Jace. It wasn't like she was doing this on purpose! Her fangs gouged out long slashes into the trees bark in an effort to stop her retorting with her anger, this female was trying to help her snapping angrily at her would be a poor way to repay her. her anger died although a soft growl exited her throat.

With the ground at her back, the tree pressing in to her stomach and chest, and the earth embankments squeezing in at either side of her, Jace could hardly move let alone see around herself. Light shined in from where the tree didn't meet the earth and she tilted her head backwards to look around at what she could see. All around her earthen sides kept her enclosed, she was within a small depression in the earth just large enough for her body to fit in. She kicked out her good back foot and felt no resistance with her paw, maybe there would be a place to get the log in there.

"I can't feel anything with my back paw, maybe there is room there to put the log under?" She could suddenly scent Temo in the air again, excitement raced through her and she seemingly forgot she was being half crushed by a tree. Her forepaws dug at the earth until a small hole opened up that was large enough for her to stick her muzzle out of it. She thrust her muzzle out of the gap and called out,

Temo! Temo! I'm over here!" If she could have moved her tail it would have been wagging overtime. Her body was aching from the strange twisted position it was now in and her leg screamed in pain but she didn't care, all that mattered was that Temo was alive!

Temo Wolfe

Looking around at the other two, seeming like ghosts in the snow as they danced in his vision. He shivered from the cold and wondered why they didn't answer him. He heard Jace's muffled voice as she called to him. He moved in the direction the voice came from. He stopped and stared at a tree laying in his path. His nose picked up her scent. She is close.

He sniffed at the air trying to discern where she was and his nose led him to under the tree. Temo scratches a little at the dirt and snow opening a hole large enough for his snout. He stuck his nose in the hole, "There you are." He unsuccessfully pushed at the tree with his forehead trying to get to Jace.

Finding Jace seems to have renewed his energy. He pulled his nose from the hole and stood up. He shook the snow off of his fur and fluffed his fur out. With the wind not as bad in the slightly protected area that they were in, he started to warm up a little and feel better. He stuck his nose back into the hole, "I see you gots yourself into a pickle under this tree." Temo gets up and looks around to see what he can do to help remove Jace from her predicament.
