For Argul.

The time had come for her to meet her brother at their rendezvous point. The pair had split up shortly after arriving in Nova Scotia, one off to explore one area of the land, the other taking the opposing direction. They planned to meet in a few weeks time, and that time was up. Both she and her brother were survivalists, and when the snowstorm churned beyond the horizon, her instincts told her to take cover. She sought refuge among Crimson Dreams, joining their ranks just days before the blizzard hit. Yet she had done it impulsively, and before joining the pack she murdered one of their young. She upheld the ruse, for now, but she needed Argul to help ensure her safety.

They should have found each other days ago but that meeting was impossible due to the snowstorm. As soon as it was clear, Nuki found the perfect moment to slip away from the pack lands, taking her bow and arrows with her so it could be assumed that she had gone hunting. She would return, and she would probably bring meat with her just to solidify the play. The hellion slipped out of Haven Manor, through the snow entrenched land of Crimson Dreams, and off into the sparse, snow laden woods.

On her trek to the meeting point she took a detour to the cave in which she hid most of her packs and possessions, including the tail she had collected from the carcass of the boy she murdered. They had been safe thus far, even if buried in feet of snow and took ages to dig out, but she needed Argul to take her things, to find a safer place, farther from Crimson Dreams, to hide her deadly weapons and her grisly trophy.

It had taken her hours to arrive at the place she referred to as mid-world, essentially a center point of 'Souls and the same place that she and Argul had split up from. It was harder to recognize with the wreckage from the snowstorm, and the feet of new, loose powder that now blanketed the earth, but she was sure this was it. She peered around, searching for any sign of Argul. A scent, pawprints, a sound... she saw no sign of him yet. Would he come? Had he survived the storm?

Tired of hearing the crunch of his own feet in the snow, he longed to reach his destination. He knew he was almost there. All his mental markers said it should be within site soon. He was ok with being in the elements, but this was different. He recently ‘failed’ and to accompany the failure was a blizzard. He was new to the souls area and so far it has been riddled with problems and issues. Nothing would go as planned, nothing would go smoothly.

He sighed, heavily. He was relieved somewhat. Sighing a week ago would’ve hurt. His wounds were finally starting to heal. Some scratches in his upper back. Claw marks, but considerably smaller than that of a wolf. There were a few smaller marks on his forearms as well; those now just were missing some hair.

Things from the meeting point were starting to come in view. His pace quickened in his excitement. He loved his sister. The only person in the world he fully trusted in. It wasn’t just a blood bond, he didn’t trust in his mother, and especially not his father, this much. They were connected in like-wise thinking, attitude and a bond that only could be created from where they came.

A smile appeared on his face. He could see his sister. His pace quickened but was not a full out run. He was too tired for that. He had no pack, but he carried something. His own travels were not a total failure and he had a gift for his sister. From a distance she could probably tell it was some type of leather working, which was common for Argul. That was his main trade and profession. On his belt his pouch bounced against his hip as he half-jogged to Nuki.

Once in vocal range he called out to her. “Sister!”

Upon reaching her, he threw his arms up for a hug. This was a bit uncommon for him and probably threw her off guard. But he was relieved to see her. It brought some normalcy to him. He wasn’t exactly right in the head, all of the time. But his sister was a light in the darkness to him.
