Golden eyes gave the occasional glance left or right with a casual interest, if this was the state the area would always be in then perhaps she had made the wrong choice. The mud had long since sunken into the deepest layers of her fur, the once pristine white of her legs now stained gray and becoming increasingly cold from the mere minutes spent wandering the territory. Her gaze flickered to the quickly setting sun, as the rosy fingers began fading from the horizon to make way for the more melancholy blue of dusk she could only hope that the lack of light would hide the sorry state of her fur. Though only in this particular territory for an hour or less she had been wandering for nearly a day, the familiar scent of a moisture laden atmosphere and a biting chill on the wind vaguely bringing back memories of snow and giving her the idea that it would be best to cover as much ground as possible while it was still possible.

Thanks to this poorly thought out decision she was now not quite as agile as she normally would have been given her current state, the weariness the source of more than a few careless stumbles over one of the many logs and other bits of debris that littered the area. Taking a weary hop over a fallen tree, the increasingly familiar sensation of the tip of her paw not clearing the jump and smacking into the wood was as good a sign to stop as any. Lowering to slowly to her haunches she threw her head back with tone starting out low and steady, as it grew in volume she began to cures herself mentally, against her bidding a slight sigh of relief leaking into the howl as her body was finally given a chance to rest. Though hastily drawing the call to a close after realizing her mistake, it still wavered for a phantom moment on a sudden breeze. As the winds came and toyed with her follicles, long creamy strands entering a wild dance at its ushering, the female could not help but bring sleep laden lids down and curse in a moment of self loathing. Well done Cesphona, you’ve announced yourself with the same prestige as the common sluggish mongrel. Oh yes, well done indeed .

Her eyes then open slowly, a small grin creeping along her lips in sync with their unveiling as her characteristic optimism began to take over. Ah well, what’s the worse that can happen? Them saying no? She took a final glance around, the mud tipped and soiled tail being drawn delicately over her paws for extra warmth as she took a final look at the storm beaten terrain. Assuming anyone comes at all…

OOC: Hello =D

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was such a pretty day, sadly the snow covered and wind struck plains could barely reflect the same feeling. Much of the beauty that once covered the area was either covered up on the white blanket that seemed to be everywhere or taken away to some faraway place by the now long gone winds. It was definitely not the prettiest of sights but it was the proof of the determination of nature to survive. There was an almost unbreakable silence on the area, not even the wind was willing to fill up the void the forest critters had left upon their sudden demise.

A lonely figure interrupted the soundless wall with a soft and almost crunchy noise of his step, and in an awfully good mood considering his broken up situation. With his hand finally back into its correct position it hurt him less, yet it was just as useless as it had been days ago as it rested pasted against his body with the help of an improvised sling he built with some discarded pieces of cloth. Yet it was nothing to interrupt his joyful jumps and low humming. The source of his happiness was unknown, must likely caused by the simple fact of being still alive.

Landing one last time he stopped, a single howl was piercing through the darkening cloudy sky. There had been many calls shot to the ever changing sky since the storm had rolled in and disappeared so hearing another one shouldn’t had been strange him, that was until his mind clicked. This was a howl he definitely didn’t know. Still it wasn’t a fact to stop his curiosity to pounce on his brain and encourage him to investigate.

Scent was the first thing to show him the location of the howler, his sight hadn’t been working as it should on the past days, the cold and constant stream of pain being most likely the ones to blame. As the new wolf came into view he slowed his short trot to a relaxed walk, not wanting to startle the other wolf by randomly running into where it was.

“Good day to you good lady”

as soon as he was on her line of sight he pulled the best bow he could, injuring the sudden pain that decided to shoot though his spine. When he was comfy of where he was he brought his build down to a knee to catch his breath, the limited movement he had sapped the little energy that was left quickly out of him.

“What can this tired wolf do for you?”

Falgar smiled softly as his eyes focused on the female’s gold ones, trying to hide the stiffness of his muscles, if a stranger was at the pack borders there must been a good reason, must likely looking for a place to stay but he was as well ready for any kind of aggression, the storm had left much wolves with virtually nothing and somewhere capable to attack a pack in their territory just to get a bite of food
