Frustration and hope made strange bedfellows, but as Geneva continued to work against time she felt she had utterly lost, she could begin to feel the first glimmers of hope. Every day, as if sleep walking, she would traverse through the destruction of her home, lime green eyes taking note of each ruin that reached up from the ground half-covered in snow, the skeletons of structures that had once stood proud as part of Phoenix Valley. It was hard not to be overwhelmed and devastated all at once, so she tried to take this experience a day at a time, a task at a time, and sometimes a minute at a time, if that was what it took to get through to the next moment.

She found herself at Mirror Lakes Villa that day, a small town that had suffered relatively little damage. There was some structural damage, but it seemed as though the Villa had escaped the storm relatively unscathed. She pushed open one of the simple wooden doors of the rather rustic church, lime green eyes adjusting to the dim view inside. The beautiful stained glass windows cast muted light all around, reflecting the grayness of the outside light.

She had pushed many of the pews against the walls to create a greater amount of space. Now she looked at the floor plan, wondering if she could somehow find some castoff furniture to make the modestly sized, yet drafty church more homey. It was a poor substitute for Three Moons Ranch, but it would have to do. She wanted to focus on the herds next, and find them safe lodging, but her first priority was setting up a base of operations for their pack. For as active as Jefferson was, he needed a safe place to rest at the end of the day. And even if she couldn't exactly strap him down and make him rest, she could at least provide him a safe place for their pack mates to seek him out, so she could try to keep him out of any further danger. Lime green eyes turned to the ceiling of the peaked roof, as if looking for answers in the rafters, or for assistance from beyond.

And he had done it again. After spending so much time trying not to do so he had gotten lost once again. His whole body cringed at the though, the last time he got lost not so long ago it had gone poorly for him, his bended right foreleg was a proof to that. Even with the injury he fought against the idea of using his Optime form, instead he kept going on his Secui, his hopping being uneven as he found it hard to balance himself upon his healthy legs.
The calm waters of the Mirror Lakes where maybe the only thing that kept his nervousness at check, in his current state even a bunny could take him down without him having the chance to even react. The though make him sigh in frustration.

Falgar stopped for a moment to inspect his surroundings, trying to find the best place to go. After a short time he could finally see something different from trees and water, something that seemed to be buildings on the not so far distance. Taking a short time to think it over he began limping towards that direction, hoping he could find someone there as he was getting sick of being alone so much days.

Upon arriving what seemed to be a village he smiled happily, this was actually the first time he had stumbled upon human buildings in such a good state, especially after the harsh snowstorm that had been on the area , his mind sure that he could find something of use among the apparently deserted area. He spent a long time going from one building to another until he came upon a church, and something about it told him to stop.

Slowly he entered the building, the scent of another wolf made him be careful. As the characteristic scent of Phoenix Valley finally reached his nose he finally calmed down. He wandered for a short time until he came upon the gray female that went by the name of Geneva. The only time he had actually seen her was almost a month ago when meeting Jace and Temo at the borders.

He waited until she could see him before making his presence known, pulling the best bow he could as his aching body was not making it easier. Seeing she had being moving stuff inside the church around he decided to offer himself to help

“Good day to you miss, is there something I could help you with?”

he drew yet another bow, trying to make it swiftly this time as each time he did one it only added to his pain, yet manners where manners. After that he carefully sat down, trying not to reopen the still healing wounds, his posture kept as submissive as possible as he was right now in front of the pack’s Patriarch mate.

Jace was limping again badly this time, her breathing was labored from where the beast had crushed her chest and she staggered into the snow. When she stood back up the snow was dotted with crimson. It was still bleeding? She swore under her wheezy breath. Her wild eyes looked all around her trying to find something she could recognize then they fell onto the lake. The lake! She could clean herself there, wash away his touch and his seed from her body, it was the best she had. She continued on forwards, her tail would be tucked as far to her belly as it was possible for it to be but she didn't have the energy for it. Her ears were pulled back flush to her skull and unless one looked hard enough then one would not be scorned for assuming they had been ripped from her body, her teeth remained bared at some threat only she could see.

As she moved closer to the lakes, so the scent of the water and the sound of the lakes began to calm her mind. Then suddenly her nose told her that there were people nearby and as she breathed in a lungful of the scent she recognized them, she could smell Falgar, one of her new friends and...the Alpha's mate! She would know what to do, how to deal with this mess she had gotten herself in. Changing her direction she kept her nose to the ground and followed the weaving scents and they danced on the air, she didn't see anything of the human's structures that she passed. Any other time and they would have fascinated her but at this moment she took no notice. Her nose led her to an open door and she nosed her way inside.

She could hear voices inside and she called out to them, seeking some form of twisted comfort in the noise,

"FALGAR! GENEVA! Anybody? I need help, I need someone to help mee..... " Her voice was filled with pain and sadness, layered with fear and outright terror. Anyone who could have ignored such a call could only have a block stone in the place of a heart

A harsh breath escaped Ty's lips as he prowled his way through the forest, this time out for no other reason than to be out and about. Rest was a hard thing for Ty to find, he never could stop moving, never could stop and relax anymore now that he had returned to Phoenix Valley. Even if he wanted to, he never could relax, never could bring himself to sit back and smell the roses. Luckily the snowstorm had kept him busy since he had returned, everyone needed help with rebuilding and gathering of food, and Ty in fact now had a rather delicious rabbit he had found and was intending to bring it to any other wolf he met along the way.

And Ty caught the scent of the perfect person he would share the rabbit with, none other then the beta of the pack, Geneva. A smile crossed his lips as his slow prowl turned into a quick stride, though still low to the ground and attempting to silence the loud steps. There was no reason for this silent movement other than Ty's past experiences. He had adapted into a warrior, so he walked with the stealth and grace of one. Geneva's trail ended in the Mirror Lakes Villa, a ghost town he rarely visited, but had always sort of wanted to. With the recent snowstorm though, most of the buildings were either flattened or partially collapsed, only the ones of dense building still stood tall among the people

As Ty spat out the dead rabbit and was about to howl to call Geneva, a cry crossed his scarred ears. Being a wolf, he could make out every word of the wolfess cry, a sincere cry for help. However, Ty could hear the urgency of her cry, the pained and cracking voice, he had heard this type of cry before. He abandoned his kill and charged towards the voice in a full sprint, thinking it might not be too late.

How wrong he was, by the time he got to the cry he could see the image of Jace, slumped over, blood spotting into the snow, tail between her legs, ears pressed to her head. Her body contorted into a pressed and crumpled position. Ty already knew it was too late, in an instant the rush of anger and defeat flushed over his body as he could only mutter. "Oh god no." And although he did not know Jace very well, he rushed to her side to keep her on her feet.

Is Jace in Optime or Lupus form? Smile

Geneva's reaction was instantaneous. Her ears twitched as an anguished, furtive sound reached her ears, and she turned toward the source of it and had taken a step toward the doorway before even stopping to analyze the meaning of the words. She was so attuned to responding to the sound of fright within a voice, having comforted her son, Pripyat, since he had been a small child in the summer months. Her lime green eyes lit up in recognition of the voice, and she pushed gently passed Falgar, laying a gentle hand on his shoulder before she tread forward with purpose.

As he often did, Ty seemed to materialize out of nowhere. It was funny how he always seemed to show up at the exact moment when someone might need aid or defending. She was grateful for his cosmic sense of timing, and she reached Jace soon after Ty had arrived. The scarred warrior's hands steadied the hybrid female, and Geneva eyed her carefully, coolly and calmly assessing the situation. She could not smell the musky, coppery scent of blood, but she could see its clear tone trailing in the snow behind Jace. "Let's move inside," Geneva said gently, although there was authority in her tone as she took charge of the situation. At this moment, she couldn't handle this situation without help and she needed to be able to rely on Ty and Falgar.

She moved up the three shallow steps into the comparative shelter of St. Augustine's, finding a pew that she had pushed up against the wall earlier that day and gesturing toward it. She didn't want Jace on the floor right now, and the supplies that she had here were meager at best. "Ty, please go to one of the lakes and bring back a bucket of water, then see if you can find some damaged buildings to find wood for a fire," she said crisply, trusting in Ty's resourcefulness and his ability to move swiftly. Looking over her shoulder, she called out to Falgar, "I don't know if there are any blankets here, but there might be cloth in the room off of the tabernacle," she said, motioning to the slightly raised altar. There was a door to the left, and if memory served there would be stiff, yet threadbare linen that had once draped the altar of this church in the days of human habitation.

Her eyes returned to Jace, concern for her evident in her lime green gaze, although she kept her expression controlled and restrained. She was not cold to her, but she needed to keep a handle on this situation as the highest ranking pack member here. "Who?" she asked softly, because it was evident to her what had happened. Ty might have missed it, or he might not have. Outwardly, it seemed like some sort of injury for certain. But Geneva, as a woman, sensed almost immediately the nature of Jace's condition. Her question, though simple, was easily understood. Who has done this to you?

The only good ear he had twitched around nervously as Jace’s shout reached him, the way her voice sounded sent his alert right up to the roof, the same causing him to almost ignore the gentle hand that had been laid on his shoulder. Even with his worry for the hybrid female he did not make a move until the three of them where already inside, not wanting to get in their way. As he watched he felt his stomach tie up in a knot, most likely caused by the heavy scent of blood and the fact that one that was among her only friends was currently injured.

Almost as an automate he bolted towards the room Geneva had pointed him to, not even waiting a minute for what he had to search as he already knew. Harshly he pushed the door open with his head, taking a few moments when inside to once again change to his Optime, even if he didn’t liked it he was awfully useless while in four paws as not only did he had a rather heavy limp but his paws also couldn’t grab a thing.

Frantically he searched for the item that was asked of him, taking a few minutes before he located a dirty piece of cloth dumbed on the corner of the room. Before taking it he cleaned it the best he could with his good hand, leaving it there for a moment as he reached for his waist for the pouch that there rested and sighting in relief as he felt some of the medical supplies that where not lost or damaged during the snowstorm. This was among the few moments that he praised the annoying raven’s intelligence instead of suffer from it.

Rushing back with the cloth on his left arm he almost threw himself at the pew’s side, leaving the cloth at his side as he swiftly checked her for the blood’s source.

“I could heal some of the wounds, I have a few medical supplies but they are enough to make the bleeding stop.”

He knew it was a bit dumb to ask for the obvious but he was not to invade personal space without the owner’s permission. A rushed nod made in Ty’s direction in a quick greeting as his mind was currently occupied on Jace’s injuries.

While waiting he took said supplies out: a white drape of cloth, a cracked jar with an herbal scented paste and a small and slightly ripped piece of bandage that he had been able to rescue from the debris he once called refuge. He focused his tired sight towards Jace’s eyes, studying them for a short amount of time for the emotions that there resided in a desperate try to get a reason of her current state. Falgar lowered his sight once more, his ebony lips pulling back a bit as a small spark of anger flashed on his mind, if he was to discover who had done this he would ignore everything he had learned only to pull the black heart of the responsible out with his own hands.

She was in lupus but i'll make her in optime instead cause its easiest Big Grin

Jace stumbled to the side only to be held up by someone who hadn't been there a minute ago, she breathed in the scent; Ty. She didn't know the scarred male all that well but she trusted him and that was enough for her to relax slightly. Then she saw Geneva appear like a beautiful angel come. down from the heavens just for her and beckon them further inside. With the help of Ty she made her way inside the old church, she could have probably made it on her own but the assistance was appreciated and she gave the scarred warrior a small smile although her eyes did not change from their haunted appearance.

She heard Falgar moving about somewhere though she didn't didn't change her head's position to see. As she sat down upon the pew her whole body seemed to slump down with weary and other such emotions, she felt bad bugging them with her problems when they were trying to rebuild the valley but she didn't want another female to end up like herself by someone who was allowed to wander the Valley freely Falgar and she was left alone with the Alpha's female. Her mismatched eyes locked on to those lime green orbs, something she would have never done in any normal circumstance, Geneva knew, she knew what had been done to Jace and taken from Jace but she was asking who had done it, who was responsible for raping one of the newest members of the Valley, and as Falgar suddenly appeared in her side vision, all she saw was another black male moving swiftly towards her and her body cringed away in an automatic reaction, the answer was clear to see in her eyes but she gave voice to it,

"Lucifer. Lucifer raped me." Her voice usually so happy and full of life was a shadow of its former self, filled with broken and damaged.

Without any hesitation, Ty followed Geneva's orders and tore off towards the lake. However, he overheard the criminal's name before he left. He should have guessed it was Lucifer, the wolf meant trouble the minute he stepped onto Phoenix Valley territory. However, he never thought the dark wolf would actually go so far to do such a thing to her, but Lucifer was much more disturbed than he previously assumed.

Ty was quick to get to the lake, getting a spare bucket from a shack to grab water from the water. However, the lake was almost entirely frozen over, at least half a foot thick in ice. But Ty was resourceful, digging around in the snow to find a large rock that he could use. Finding a stone about the size of a human head, he pounded hard on the ice, each strike chipping away at the icy shield until it eventually gave way to the liquid water. After grabbing a bucketful of the chilling water, Ty darted back to the villa, dropping the water off with Geneva so he could have hands free for wood. when he stopped by, he could see Falgar and Geneva were taking good care of Jace.

But that didn't stop Ty from feeling he had failed twice. Even as he searched the broken houses for wood he could still feel his overwhelming sense of failure. This was the second woman who he let get raped in Phoenix Valley, the second one he could not stop. Even though he barely knew Jace he knew she did not deserve the fate that she received at Lucifer's hands.

As Ty returned with the wood, he said nothing to interfere with Geneva's and Falger's care taking, and quietly set up the wood to make a fire. This was not his affair, nor was it his business to bring any attention to himself, hence his silence as he lit the fire. However, it did not leave his mind that Lucifer was probably still out there, most likely in the Valley.

Sorry for the wait.

Geneva was relieved that Falgar seemed to have some sort of idea for how to treat Jace. She had very limited knowledge regarding care for illnesses and wounds, outside of very basic components. She was glad to see that Jace was not particularly jumpy around males. Geneva did not know how she would feel if something of that nature happened to her. She only knew that she would not want to be touched. This gave the gray female a great indication of how strong, at least internally, this wolfdog girl was.

For what seemed to be the hundredth time in her life, she thanked her lucky stars to have Ty in her life. Sometimes he was not always level headed; he emoted so many things, seemed to be so deeply connected to everything that he touched. But she could always count on him to help. In so many ways, he felt like her right hand man, but more. Like his father before him, he always seemed to save her, even in the smallest ways.

"He won't do this to you again," Geneva told her softly, lime green eyes tracing the ceiling of the weathered church as she spoke. Her eyes lingered on the rafters as she thought of the black demon. "He will pay for what he has done, but first we must ensure that all are safe. I'll speak with the leader of Lucifer's clan; we will end this."
