Life for Hybrid Holocaust had been rather boring and wholesomely uneventful as of late. He had met an annoying bitch of a wolf and chased her out of Inferni territory, but that had been almost two months ago. He’d even met a new joiner, but even she hadn’t been terribly impressive with her annoying traps and whatnot. So as usual, Hybrid was preparing to make his rounds to survey the borders and ensure there weren’t any other stupid wolves lingering about. After chasing off that annoying white wolf a few weeks back, he’d stepped up his patrols in the parts of Inferni that were closest to Anathema, but hadn’t encountered anyone else yet. He didn’t believe that she would actually tell the rest of that damned pack to fuck off, so he was surprised he hadn’t encountered anyone else.

Again, he felt like all he did was sigh, hem, and haw. He had no purpose anymore: all he did was wander around; the bored lone guard. He didn’t even think that was true anymore, either: Inferni had plenty of members he would hope would patrol. But even if they did, it wasn’t like there was much to find. He supposed it would probably be a good idea to hunt more often with the other members, but he really did not like them. So instead, he did what he could with the few that did not disgust him and managed to scrape by well enough.

He stared out over the weird pools of frozen ground, wondering what they were. In the summer, they were water, but in the winter, they were slippery and cold. He remembered when Gabriel had ventured onto one before – Hybrid had paid the price for enjoying the silly show and as a result, he didn’t take too kindly to those pale blue pools of whatever they were. He sneered and then began to loop around them, heading north to begin his patrol.

Word Count → 390 :: Table & Coding © Sie; I fail so bad. Sorry it took me so long hun.

Ima's life was rested on the other end of the spectrum. It wasn't nearly as busy as it had been back in Barbados. It was was much more laid back here but he still found things to get himself into. He had many ventures in the short time that he was here. He had built a barn, acquired a boat, made maple syrup, and was even starting on rum production in the basement of the mansion. The boy was keeping himself busy alright. But there were just so many thing that he had to try and others that he simply had to have. He was even working on his dialect. He was lengthening those clipped sentences. He still had some slip ups at times. But he as long as he thought before speaking he was doing quite a bit better.

Today was a lazy day for him. He wasn't involving himself in one project or another but simply just walking around. He had taken to meandering along the borders after those wolves had given up their fish to him. He was hoping to find another to do such. He could tolerate wolves as long as they gave him what he wanted. They were tolerable as long as they knew their place beneath him. Of course he wasn't really a fighter to be able to put them in their place or anything like that. Instead he just took what he wanted. One way or another he would get just what it was that he desired.

He had been cutting across the area, leaving the caverns to cut to the borders near the beach. Or at least he thought to start there when he caught the scent of another in the area. It was one he didn't know so of course he had to check it out. The frozen pools of water didn't even earn a glance from him. The gathered rocks nearby only did so that he could set down his pack of goodies. He hadn't even thought to announce his presence and he dropped to his hands and knees to crawl after the other male. He quickly closed the distance so that he could smell at the other's rear. The male was most certainly older than him and mostly coyote. Actually the other was more coyote than even he was.

I don't know if you can tell percentages of coyote/wolf in characters from scent? :O Dunno, but Hybrid thinks he's pureblooded ~_~ Oooh poor boy.

Only a few scrapes and thumps alerted Hybrid to the presence of another canine. At first, he thought it was just some animal wandering around, but then quickly realized if it was prey, he could probably chase after it and catch it. He was bored to death, so even a fruitless hunt was welcome. But before he could react, he felt the presence of another creature behind him. Hybrid flicked his ears and quickly stood up and turned around when he felt a nose tickle his back. He gave the coyote a questioning look and quickly cursed.

"What the fuck are you doing?" he asked. It was more that the coyote was in his Optime form on his hands and knees than the fact that he trading scents. Hybrid didn't think anyone would ever crawl around like some imbecile, but apparently, this one had. He usually reserved scent-trading for his more canine forms, but this just seemed weird.

"And who the fuck are you?" he demanded. It had taken some time, but he eventually realized this was a new coyote rolling around in the grass. What a fucking weirdo. Hybrid wasn't even sure if he wanted to know who this was.
