The season is arriving

Go wild, no special posting order, but every member have to reply at least once, and when Colibri is speaking everyone(except Mew) is present.

I'll be waiting here to meet you

As far as she was aware of, that made them five in number, and they could actually make this place their own. Going from loner and into a pack this way puzzled the five year old, but seeing she was the oldest and most experience, she saw herself as the organizer. She and Cercelee. Ceres and Colibri, Colibri and Cercelee. Fate laughed at her, but she could not smile with it, because it was surreal and made bad memories drift to the surface without her permission. She could do nothing but greet this opportunity though, together with the other ashen female by her side. It could work or it would fail, and first after that would happen, Colibri would take action. It did not matter much to her, really. She was just helping a group of wolves receiving a sanctuary, a home. Hopefully not a broken one.

Rain had poured down, but was hesitating as Colibri picked that chosen moment and let a howl rise up into the sky, calling for those who she hoped still remained and awaited further action in the creating of the pack. The wolfess had not really expected this to happen, but the time was now and they would create something new out of the ashes. They had discussed both a name and a new rank hierarchy. Colibri, Susquehanna, Slay, Cercelee and another wolf. For some reason Colibri had not asked for the new wolf's name. It was something that had almost had attached to Cercelee's fur. Not quite a scent, but there was something she could not determine. She would know soon enough anyway, when they showed up.

They showed up, they all did, except for one. Perhaps the newest wolf had been a bit far away for time being, but she just went on, feeling a minor sting for starting without the last. She would probably show up, if not, then the group would continue waiting for another soul to join them. Colibri cleared her throat lightly, sitting on the wet ground, on the top of some boulders of a former stone fence that had eventually shattered a bit after all those years. In the distance the sea glittered, and the land still seemed celestial to her. A bit of everything. Cercelee was by her side, and the silver eyed wolfess threw a grateful glance in the younger female's direction, glad to have Cer by her side.

" Thank you all for the patience and for coming. Not much time has gone since we scarcely began to talk about the wish of forming a group, a home within these lands. There are enough of us now, We have decided to claim this land as our own. If you all are still interested, then so shall it be." She paused for a few seconds, looking for doubt or head shakes, any uncertainty or no agreement. " We will part with the common rank hierarchy and create a new one. Head rank will be Rosea and Rosen, playing the role as the leader, or alpha, if you'd wish. Second in command, Lillium, a subleader, which will be assisting the leader in all duties and step in when the Rosea is absent." Would Colibri disappear? Her mind did not hold an answer. " Third, Vitis. The Vitis will be assisting the leaders whenever needed, and should be a trusted member that everyone can lean on whenever necessary. Fourth is the Mai, going under the Vitis, sharing whatever shores which may rise. Fifth on the rank list, the Circèe, both the Circèe and all of the mentioned ranks above are free to accept new members as they arrive. Last two on the list is Bluet and Filix. Filix will be the rank given to any newcomer, and Bluet will be granted to those who actually decides to stick around longer than a few weeks. Papaver will be for the youth from birth to the age of nine months." That was all. The idea had struck the female as she had walked through the abandoned fields, discovering the floral life getting ready to shoot up and bloom for the world to see. The wild dahlia hybrids were plentiful. " Solum for the omega, lets hope it will remain empty.. " A little smile appeared on the female's alabaster lips, a rather sad one for some reason.

" These ranks generally speak of the member's status, unless you reach high up. We all have different abilities and interests, and it would be wrong to place you all into ranks with special jobs which you may not be fond of. Therefore we will give you additional ranks at the rank of Bluet, so that you can choose more freely what to do. The additional ranks are Hunter, Patrol, Herbalist, Musician and puppysitter, and still, if you want something else to do that fits better, talk with Cere.. Cercelee or me." She had tripped in the name. Hopefully Cercelee did not notice. She did not see any need for explaining the sub ranks, as their names easily stated the jobs all in all. " These lands shall be the home of the Dahlia de Mai pack, and we shall be open for every soul seeking a home." May they be wolf, coyote, whatever. The dahlia could have every color, even black.. She wrote sins, not tragedies, and hopefully it would stay that way.

" Cercelee and I shall take a shared spot of Rosea." Cercelee was young, but it was never too soon to prepare her.. for what might happen when the wind started calling for the grey eyed lady. " As a fresh start for everyone, you will be placed as Bluets." Eyes were searching for a fifth soul, but they failed. It would not ruin the white pair's plans however. " Thank you.. " She was not sure if it was the rest of the pack or Cercelee it was most directed to, but she was grateful for all of them being here. That was it, and she suddenly felt tired, apparently out of the blue. This was not what she had originally wished for, she feared for everything, also the responsibility that followed if this pack would live and breathe. She hoped this was good enough for them. It was time for smiling, but Colibri jumped down from the rock and began to pad slowly away, available for whatever questions or chit chat some of them may wanted to share, but clearly announcing her silent departure. She was tired, and there was something grasping her heart, making her feel dizzy. If there was some major explaining, Cercelee could might as well show what she was worth.

Slay had felt the tug of dread in his chest when he heard the soaring call. He'd come swiftly, muddy paws covering the ground between them in no time at all, but he still slowed reluctantly at the edge of the clearing. It had come to this, a pack, ranks, politics, all things he feared and rebelled against. When companions became superiors or subordinates, and all became orders. But the big piebald male stood stiffly, paying Colibri his full, if somewhat unwilling, attention.

As the white wolf spoke, however, Slay felt a curious feeling unfurling in his deep chest. Of course Colibri would be their alpha - pardon, "Rosea" - and it made some sense to elevate her close companion Cercelee to the position as well, teach her the ropes. But... rather than simply take command and designate their pecking order, the other luperci were to choose what best suited them? Colibri thought it was wrong, to just pick a slot and force the others to fill it, even if it didn't suit them...?

Perhaps he had found his place after all.

"'Dahlia de Mai' it is," he growled softly, his cold eyes slowly crinkling into a smile. "Count me in for the long run..."

Hanna had left off chasing one of the many rabbits she'd seen sprinting from her scent when her sister called. She'd not left the area in case anything needed to be done, such as warding off malcontents or something. So when the howl rose from Colibri's lips, Hanna turned to it and was present almost before the sound died from the air.

Colibri spoke, then, once they were all assembled, explaining the ranks and the name of the pack. Hanna nodded, it seemed fitting. It would be weird being under the leadership of her sister, but she'd make do, and it wasn't as though she would get unfair treatment because of it. Maybe one day, Hanna would join her sister in the leadership ranks? It all depended on the future.

When Colibri finished, Hanna spoke up, I'd like the Herbalist position, please, sis, if at all possible.

Cercelee stood at attention and listened dutifully to her friend. Cer understood the formality of these gatherings, but the feeling was weird, for all of them she assumed. Before they had just been a group of somewhat friends, sticking together, and now a pack? Yes they had waited for this and wished about it, and now why did it feel weird? Perhaps because she was sitting near to Colibri, facing the others. Of course, her rank was no surprise. Colibri would need someone to pick up the slack and forming a pack had been collaborated between the two of them before the others appeared on the scene, but she still in the past few weeks had not imagined alpha, or rather Rosea.

Was she up to it? Cercelee knew well enough that she could do whatever it took to fulfill her role, but did she want to? Looking at Slay and Hanna she knew that she didn’t want either of them looking up to her, unless there was a real need for her to take charge. Perhaps for the most part they could ignore the ranks unless the occasion called for it. Greeting newcomers, pack meetings, in there should be a problem between the members, but otherwise, why not treat everyone like before? Also the slip of letters had not gone over Cercelee’s head. Ceres. That was not her name, not even close, yet it had almost fallen from Colibri’s lips. The younger female had given no indication that it bothered her, or even that she had heard, but she wondered if Colibri wished to be ruling along side her dead friend.

Navy eyes moved towards Colibri as she finished her speech and without excusing herself left the three of them sitting there. (Why hadn’t Mew responded?) Colibri hadn’t even answered Hanna’s question, but she assumed that the older female was tired or that she had to mull this change over by herself a while. Shrugging to the others she smiled, waving her tail gently behind her as she stood to stretch out her limbs after all the formality. Slay and Hanna both seemed enthusiastic enough to stick with this, Mew had too, so Cercelee wasn’t too worried about the female’s lack of appearance, there was still time. You have knowledge of herbs Hanna? Cercelee asked this question with real curiosity, as for in the past year and four months that she had been alive, she hadn’t really learned any specialized skills. Turning to Slay, she smiled brightly at him as well. What about you Slay? Any particular job you think you’d liket? Of course you don’t need to pick now, it’s not like we have a horde of members vying for any of our ranks. Cer let out a soft, merry laugh, although in truth, she wished more would join them.

Sorry, rambling slightly

She had heard the call, and she had come to meet them, despite the confusion tumbling around in her head. To meet them, however, proved harder than she thought, so she had stopped at a distance - picking up the words, yet not actually being present, so to speak. So they had found the numbers to form a pack, as Cer had wished for. The female also recognized her aunt, and a peculiar-looking young male.. Her mother had sounded weary, and looked it, explaining ranks and the like. As far as Mew remembered, she had done it before - leading, but perhaps not as alpha.. she didn't know. But she seemed to fit for the rank, although looking like she'd rather not have it. Once her mother had excluded herself somewhat, Mew decided to step slightly closer. Colibri would certainly notice her.. Perhaps Hanna would also recognize her, or perhaps she - like so many others in her family - didn't really give a shit. Perhaps she had never noticed the solitary Mew when she was young, and that she had left. There were many perhaps', but it didn't really matter, and she held no grudge against Hanna anyways. The only troublesome presence here was her mother, and it stopped her from opening her mouth to say anything.

The female got up from her haunches and walked slowly towards the group that would be her pack, interrupting the conversation they were having, but only with appearing, really. She was uncomfortable, and showed it; body tense, her ears were flat in a submissive way, tail still and pointing to the ground. Dragging her feet, suddenly tired, she tried as best she could to hide it and sat down among them, though not too close. She looked to Cer first, as if it would somehow ease her discomfort. It didn't though, and she let her green eyes travel to look at the young male, avoiding her aunt for the moment. His fur was... interesting. But nice, in a cute way. She'd seen odder wolves anyway, and this one was odd in the appealing manner. Finally she shot a glance at her aunt and nodded to them all, as if to say that she accepted what had been said, and their presence, before averting the gaze to the ground before her, clearly not giving attention to Colibri. She would stay silent, she had never been the kind of person to draw attention to herself anyway. Tail was wrapped around her feet as she sat there meekly, trying to splash a little smile on her face, giving off a fake signal of her being comfortable. She'd rather leave, but some things - like these - had to be done, no matter how uncomfortable. There was no avoiding the ones she would share homelands with.

I'll be waiting here to meet you

They spoke, and Hanna came with a question directed to her, but Cercelee was quick at replying, so Colibri just gave a nod toward the co leader of the newly made pack and gestured Hanna to take it up with Cer instead of her. She saw the figure of her youngest daughter appear, and her heart made a jump into a pit. It was clear that Mew did not feel much joy by seeing her dame, and Colibri was given nothing. So be it. Colibri’s gray eyes turned away from Mew and the rest of the little group that called themselves members of Dahlia de Mai. Her limbs felt heavier than ever before, but the female dragged herself away, burdened with her mind. She did not even notice Mew’s gained weight around the belly arena. She walked towards the shore, the water, the waves, the tranquil paradise, and soon she was out of sight and gone.

Heh, I didn't make much mention of them besides that Hanna took too long filling them, but in her old den, Hanna kept a tattoo kit, some trinkets, and lots of dried herbs in two satchels, like messenger bags. The trinkets were lost to the fire, as were some of the herbs, but she packed her tattoo kit and some of the rarer herbs.

While her sister had been speaking, Hanna caught a glimpse of white moving toward them. She recognized the white fur and the features of her niece, the younger of two, Mew. Smiling, Hanna swept over to her to give her a big aunty hug, wrapping her head and neck around that of the younger one. She spoke quietly, for only Mew's ears, It's been awhile, hun. How ya doing? The dark femme could scarcely believe she was being reunited with all her family. When she'd returned to Souls and found everyone missing she held near, Hanna didn't believe it possible this could happen.

When Colibri motioned for Hanna to answer to Cercelee, the elder spoke, dropping her tail and averting her eyes. I am largely self taught, but I know the properties of many herbs and have remedies for many things, including pain and morning sickness. I also tattoo. She said the last a little off-handedly, not really going anywhere with the remark, only saying.

lala ^_^

The self-announced alpha of her pack gave her little more attention than Mew had thrown in her direction. Suddenly shameful, Mew kept her gaze at the ground in front of her. What was she to do anyway? It wasn't as if she had chosen this. Fate certainly had her way with her lately. Nonetheless, this was how it was, and it couldn't be reversed. She didn't want to reverse it either; Cer seemed to be a good person, and this male, Slay, was cute enough. The lands were o.k. too, even though she felt a little odd at living in an area humans had lived in so closely.

Shame turned to embarrassment as she received an unexpected act of kindness from her aunt, and her face surely turned red beneath her fur. She felt warm. Returning the hug, a genuine little smile appeared on her lips; she could not stop it. How could anyone, when met with warmth? She mumbled a barely audible reply to the female, and as the dark female changed her attention and replied to Cer's question, her green eyes was fixed upon the femme's form. Yeah.. I'm O.K... Who would've thought..

Slay blinked at Cercelee's question. Since he'd spent the most time with their youngest pack member, he trusted her best, but the question still threw him a bit. Special skills... Had he ever developed special skills, in all his years? He bit back a slight shiver as he though back on his birth pack, his parents, his relatives. He had been raised to be a leader. That was what he knew - decision making, judgments, intelligence. But it was not what he wanted, and he had purposefully forgotten the lot of it. He wanted to follow - to relax, and enjoy life, as much as someone like him could enjoy life, anyway... He was over three, without ever having a real rank or a mate or anything that others strove to achieve in half that time.

"Er..." The big male stammered, white-tipped ears back apprehensively. Cer had smiled so brightly, but did she realize how heavy a question she had just asked? He honestly didn't know how to answer it, when it should be so simple. He cast his pale blue gaze around at the other pack members, trying to gauge how they reacted. Colibri's dark-furred sister, whom he had barely met, was an herbalist. And there was another white wolf, one whom he was unfamiliar with. The others must have invited her, but Slay did not know her name. Everything about her seemed so timid, hesitant, even apologetic. She must be another family member, he decided firmly, or at least a friend before this fire struck. He wanted to trot over and introduce himself - she was cute, too - like the amiable luperci he was, but he needed to drum up a response to Cercelee's question. She gave him a way out, but she wanted a straight reply, he knew. He shouldn't keep her hanging.

"I... I'm the biggest here, Cer. I mean, Rosea...?" Slay tilted his head helplessly, unsure of how to address the arctic wolf before him. "Perhaps... I should become Hunter. Until someone more capable comes along, of course," he added, with the same half-hearted chuckle that Cercelee had given just moments before. He too hoped that others came along - but if they were bigger than him, they'd probably be males. And he was very content with the gender ratio they had at the moment, even if he didn't know the two wolves that were whispering to each other over there. He glanced questioningly to Colibri disappearing in the distance, offering a silent inquiry to her disposition. Why was she so weary, all of a sudden? Surely things were working out well for her, as the new alpha of a new land! Everyone else seemed so tense because of it...

Mew appeared, and without any real acknowledgment Colibri and her crossed paths. Cercelee took this all in, remembering the weirdness that had registered when Colibri’s name had come up in their conversation. Colibri obviously meant something to Mew, and from Hanna’s reaction Cercelee had a pretty accurate guess. Of course, Iskata had imparted information as well, and Cercelee was able to fill in the blanks. Mew was a relative she had never known, related also to Hanna and Colibri, and Slay was the odd man out it seemed. Yet Colibri and Hanna were not family of Cercelee’s, not by blood, and Mew didn’t have anymore of an idea as Cercelee had when they had met, so did it really count? Cercelee debated telling Mew that they were cousins, but decided against. What did it matter, and wouldn’t she figure it out herself at some point?

Smiling and nudging Mew friendly, she tried to keep all their nerves down. Welcome Mew, I trust you heard your rank? Cercelee looked to the others. Hanna could be the herbalist for all she cared, she seemed to know more than any of the others, and of course she could always improve if the need arose, so why not? Smiling at the older, darker female, she spoke kindly, her voice casual, trying to encourage the others to be casual with her as well. Colibri could demand all the formalities, if that’s what she wanted, but Cercelee just wanted to be herself. That’s fine Hanna, the rank is yours. Should it really be so easy? Perhaps not, but she trusted the wolves that she was currently surround by, she had no reason not to.

Finally she turned her full attention to Slay, her head tilting and a quizzical expression crossing her face as he stammered between her name and her rank, she was unsure if she should laugh or chide him. It’s still just Cer. Eyes still locked on him she waited as he stumbled over what co-rank to decide on. Cercelee could hear the hesitance in his voice on this issue as well, and she felt like denying him the rank, partly for her own amusement at the face she might get from the others, but also because she did not want to force any one into a job they might not enjoy. Maybe he just wanted some sort of answer. Are you sure, sir? Her voice suddenly became mirthful, her eyes sparkling as she mocked the male in a good natured manner. I mean you certainly are the biggest out of us here... but do you think you can really feed all us lasses? The rosea couldn’t help herself, her voice grew more joking. I think I might want to be the hunter, I mean I did win that race of ours, right? So I’m quickest, maybe... patrol for you, or pupsitter? Hmm, I don’t know. Cercelee fluttered her eyes up at the male, trying to bait him, turn him back into the playful friend at the beach, loosen them all up. Why tiptoe about if one could run and make the ground shake?

Interrupting for Slay, I was bored and needed to post something Tongue

Watching, amused, Cer's informal display of something that could easily be taken as flirting, Mew shot a glance at Slay, whom it was aimed at. They knew each other then. He was rather cute, so if it actually was flirting, Mew could see why. Thinking about how long it had been since she had a flirtatious adventure with a male, Mew smiled at Cer, though nearly invisibly. She was humored by this; it was cute, in a way. They were both quite young, and she felt like patting the female, as a mother would pat a child. Of course, she would do no such thing, it being disrespectful, especially regarding her rank as bluet. But it just amused her so.

Quietly, Mew got up and sat down closer to Cer, and mumbled a few words mostly for her to hear. I can play a bit of music, and sing. But not much until I get out of this form.. Looking up at the other female, Mew gave her her full attention. She would be very happy with a musician co-rank, and it gave her a feeling of something to do, regardless of whether the co-rank actually had any real chores or to-do's. It seemed as a title, to her, sort of an official message to others; that she loved hearing and doing music. It was, pretty much, the only passion she had in life, and she would never tire from it.

Slay drew up in mock indignance, frowning down at Cercelee's cheeky display. Inwardly he felt huge relief that the young female had the insight to break the tension in this way, and that she had spared him the embarrassment of dithering about titles and being worthy of them by turning it into light-hearted banter. If he had any doubts about Cer being a capable leader, they were now vanished.

"My dear, I'm sure all you little ladies combined couldn't eat my portion of the kill! I'm sure I can fill your dainty bellies, and then some! And you couldn't hold your breath longer in the water, remember? So that means I have better stamina than you! Perhaps 'pupsitter' would be more suited to your talents..."

He smirked, a playful twinkle glinting in his icy blue gaze. He rose to his paws and slowly circled Cer, almost bumping into Mew by accident as the white luperci edged nearer. He shot her an apologetic grin, bowing his head slightly in acknowledgment, before finishing up his 'appraisal' of Cercelee.

"Yup - you're small, you're young, and you know all kinds of games for them to play. We might even mistake you for one of them..."

Okay, so I will give Hanna the herbalist and Mew the musician as soon as this thread is wrapped up. I think for now I am leaving Cer without a co-rank, Slay do you want Hunter or no? You don’t need to pick one, but if you do want anyone it’s yours Smile, just say so. I want to make sure you want it OOC’ily if Slay isn’t sure IC XD. We can probably wrap this thread up soon, yeah?

Cer turned to Mew and smiled, nodding as if to say of course. That was interesting to learn that Mew could indeed play instruments. Cercelee had never really seen an instrument, and although she sang the petite female had no real voice for it. Although her speaking voice was lovely, when sing Cercelee could only be described as mediocre at best. Navy eyes appraised Mew, and although she had not heard the older female sing or play, a slight tinge of jealousy washed over her. Well, at least that co-rank would be filled, someone could amuse them with music if Cercelee could not accomplish the feat herself. Giving Mew a friendly and encouraging nudge, Cercelee turned back to Slay, ready to try her hand at the banter again.

Truthfully she was ecstatic at his comeback, remarking on his small figure and her light hearted games. How could she top that? Smiling, her voice taking a new tone, a little devilish but still mirthful, looking them all in the eye so they knew it would be a joke. Well someone had better give me some pups to watch then, and seeing as Slay is the only male in the pack, obviously he has to play the daddy role, right? Cer smiled again at Slay, her eyes lighting up, if she had eye brows they would have raised as if to say “If hunter’s not enough responsibility for you, how would procreate be?” Well then Slay, you up to that challenge? Cer’s tail waved behind her, daring Slay to take the roose one step further, hoping that he would back down and she would “win” the round of banter.

-poof-

Mew continued to watch the rosea and Slay keep at their game of (possibly) flirtation, after receiving what could only be a yes to her request for the co-rank. It pleased her. Though she did not know whether it would ever be of any use, it was nice to have it. And it also told other people that there were things she could do, if unimportant ones. She was aching to get out of this restricting form and could play with her guitar again. She missed it, truly, but at the time it had seemed to be the best form, since she had had to travel all the way over here. It was a comfortable form, preferable for Mew mostly, but not being able to play her guitar made her slightly depressed in the long run, and bored. But, once she was out of the form, she probably wouldn't have much time for the guitar anyways.

Thinking about what Cer was saying, there not being any puppies to babysit, Mew smiled to herself. There might be a need for that co-rank sooner than they all thought. But Mew would take care of them herself, there was no running away, how could she when she knew how it felt to be victim of it? The ivory female nodded, smiling, at Cer and Slay, and nudged Hanna with her nose in a parting manner, before turning to leave. She had done what she came for and she needed to think. But, the display between the two youngest had lifted her heart, and she left with a good mood, tail wagging slowly.

OoC: Whoops, sorry for the delay, mate! ;_; Yeah, ooc-ly, I think Slay'd be suited for Hunter. ^_^ As long as he doesn't fall asleep...

Slay snorted indignantly, caught off-guard. It was one thing to joke about pup-sitting, but fatherhood? He hadn't even realized what it meant to be the only male in a pack of bachelorettes! Clearly not all of them were interested in families, but if the Roseas wanted to expand their pack for real... He caught Cercelee's clever gaze and made a show of tilting his nose in the air, feigning a pompous attitude he certainly never felt.

"As though any of you are worthy of bearing my pups? We'll just see about that, m'dear!"

Then he grinned, unable to keep up the charade too long. He was the odd one out, he knew - Mew and Cercelee were both so pretty with their white fur, Colibri's delicate beauty intrigued him, and if Hanna reverted to her quadruped form, Slay was sure that the dark-furred herbalist would have a wild beauty of her own. He loved to flirt, but he didn't really expect any of the girls to seriously consider him as a mate, what with his ugly markings and his bizarre sleep patterns. Just thinking about it made him yawn again, and he shook his thick ruff vigorously to ward off the incoming drowsiness.

"I kid, sweetie. Whatever you think is best suited for our pack, I'll go along with. But you're still too small to hunt," he couldn't resist adding, lips parting to yawn again. Oh, boo, here comes the nap, he thought disjointedly. If Cer insisted on bantering, he'd probably nod off in mid-sentence... Then she'd win! But he was just... so tired...

As much as I want to make Slay fall asleep, this thread is getting a little outdated, and I’d like us to focus on the pack hunt instead of having two slow going pack threads open XD So I will wrap this up. You’ve all gotten your co-ranks, but I don’t know yet if we will be giving out icons or not for them.

Cercelee snorted indignantly at Slay’s response, and she shot him a feigned insulted look. As if she wasn’t suitable for bearing children? In all honestly, Cercelee felt that she wasn’t. Puppies had never interested her much, not in the way other females seemed to have an instinctive way with them. She had never so much as cooed over a pup, treating them instead as if they were peers of hers. How could she raise children with that type of attitude? Besides, if Dahlia de Mai held together, wouldn’t she be far too busy leading a pack to play house? Smiling at the remaining wolves, Cercelee cleared her throat. They were beginning to disperse, and she and Colibri had said all that needed to be said anyway. Now that they had ended on a good note, it seemed this was the best time to formally dismiss. Besides, Cer had noted the signs in Slay, his demeanor seemed similar to the day he had fallen asleep clear out of the blue. Perhaps this meeting was taxing him. Well then, if everyone’s decided on a co-rank, I think we’re about rapped up here, yes? Why not go about the lands a but more and pick out a den or some such? We do intend to stay for the long haul right? Cer smiled at them once more, and though it was more likely they would find a house to lodge in than a den, it was all the same. They needed somewhere to sleep at night, and so, with that she left to wander, for she didn’t intend on settling in any one den, or house, for a while yet.
