the sky is changing

Montidora Lincoln awoke in a very comfortable bed, eyelids just opening though they opened slowly. She rose, fast, her eyes flashing around the walls and then she glanced at the human bed she had been laying within. The wolf pup pushed herself out of the covers shakily, her eyes glancing at the window and then turning to the opened door. Jumping out of this bed and running towards the door, her snout was put to work as she searched out where everyone was. It didn't take long, for she saw two figures soon enough. She was tempted to smile, for she could feel their love for one eachother from here. But she couldn't, though she was shamed to admit it; she was jealous. For she had never felt loved, despite how many times she loved another. Each time she loved, there was a disapointing ending that she never wanted to feel again. So now, she feared feeling anything for these kind people that did bring warmth to her heart.

She anxiously turned the other way, wanting to explore this new area which had become her home in so short of time. She did not mind how quickly she had been welcomed, it was a change that she allowed in with open arms, and she became happy with fleeting moments here. She had been so used to being lonely, and these people who lived here, well- mainly the woman, would not let her be alone. She was cuddled, loved, and cared for. Yet her ribs still were shown, for even though she was fed her body had not yet adapted and she still looked like a weakling, which she still very much so was.

She approached the brush she arrived in, her dark eyes surveying the area, licking her lips slightly as she sat and just looked around, warily. What luck it had been that there had been another kind soul here the first day she came. She could only wonder what other sort of wolves were here.
