Galileo had donned his more streamline and agile lupus form for the scouting. He had ventured to the same spot, as the area was an empty and it had been the place where the trio had first met. His gold, brown and cream shaded body move slowly along the beach front, taking everything in as his lungs filled up with the sea salted air. This was the perfect setting, and all he needed now was his associate. Galileo had recruited is nephew and he assumed that Valinta's son would follow her also. Gemma had said she would keep her eye out for any loners she could grab, but the gentleman had not heard from her since.

The sea foam carressed the beach sand as the hybrid moved along it's length, his blumine eye imagining a great beach fire, the thick scent of roasting seafood and wine. The mere mirage of the scene sent him giddy with excitment. His golden toes dug into the the sand, his face full of pleasure. The gentleman let out a cheerful howl, calling for Valinta. This place really was perfect, it seemed to have an glow about it, something unlike anything the male had seen before.

Valinta's lupus form was fast, small, and had more endurence than her others. She ran at a swift pace as she answered Galileo's call, ready to begin scouting out their territory. It would be a bit of a difficult task, she mused, what with having to decide from all the open land that there was. Opening her maw wide, the female let the briney air coat her throat, tasting the salt in the air. The territory would have to be by the beach. Valinta could most definitely imagine waking up to that scent every day, seeing the sun rise and set over the ocean. It would be beautiful.

But it would have to be somewhere safe, too. Even thought Gunnar was technically an adult, Valinta still worried about him. He wandered around too much, and when she was gone, she wasn't there to protect him. It would have to be close enough to the beach that she could smell the brine but not too close that he'd wander into the ocean and drown. Valinta would die herself if any harm came to her baby boy.

Meeting up with Galileo finally, who was also in Lupus form, Valinta smiled widely as she panted. "It has to be on the beach." she said happily. "This place is special. I don't know how, but it is." She stared out to the sea and sighed with content. It was beautiful.

Galileo looked to his equal, smiling and repling with a curt nod and a worded agreement. 'Yes'. He paced forward to the waters edge. Lowering his head, letting his nose touch the salty surf, inhaling softly. He look up and behind, his blumine eyes searching for the woman's own golden orbs. 'Can you feel it, Val? The aura this place had. The feeling it gives off, it's... unplaceable. Euphoric almost, but something else...' Galileo shook his head even he himself unable to put into words what he felt. 'This place feels right... Do you think the others will agree?' Of course they would, but it wasn't their choice. It was the choice of the Avi's, the Ava and Avus together equally. And since the pair had come to the same agreement, the choice was made. But how could they not feel the same?

'We shall call everybody together soon, and celebrate. We'll catch fish and cook on the beach. Family deserves such rituals' Galileo frowned softly, looking out to the sea. 'Perhaps monthly?' This was perfect. It really was, he suspected that everybody would feel the same, the aura of this place was strong. He had never been stupid enough to believe in the spirit of nature, but the sea seemed to call him closer. Maybe it was his imagination, but this land was his now.

Valinta smiled; the idea sounded perfect. They'd need to further explore the area before knowing exactly what they'd do, and where. Catching site of a small town, the female nodded towards it. "Let's check it out." she said softly. Trotting ahead of Galileo, not waiting for him, she nosed around the edge of the town before going into the heart.

Deciding that Optime would be better at this point, Valinta began to shift. As her legs got longer and arms shorter, the female looked up. Once she had fingers, she swiftly swept up the grown hair into a messy ponytail. Standing straight, she walked idly into a store she was in front of.

And gasped in sheer, unadulterated joy. It was clothing. Rows and rows of it, somehow untouched and delightfully quirky. Grabbing a pair of sunglasses and a bright pink hat, Valinta put them on and giggled. The town definitely had to be a part of their territory. Preferably the entire town.

Leaving the small shop, the female smiled giddily. It was a wonderful find, obviously. But what else could the little town hold? At this point, Valinta was joyful enough to assume that obviously, the town had a treasure chest hidden around somewhere. Obviously, weird clothes constituted gold.

Hearing a quiet mewling, Valinta looked down at a bush nearby. There was a small form in the leaves, and the female reached down to grab it. Stupid, yes, but the woman had a hot pink hat! Who would hurt her with that piece of awesome resting squarely on her head? Picking up the tiny form, the woman was delighted to find a small kitten. Gasping with joy, she pressed the small, fluffy bungle to her chest and cooed. It began to purr, and she smiled.

"I will call you Princess Puff, and you will be my pretty princess. Yes. I will love you and hug you forever." she cooed at it. The kitten just purred louder, and when Valinta set it down, head butted her ankle. Walking, Valinta turned to watch Princess Puff. The little kitten followed her, and when Valinta stopped, promptly ran into a wall. Maybe Princess Puff wasn't as smart as other cats.

Picking up the small creature, Valinta petted her and decided that it didn't matter. Sitting against a wall, she pet the cat as she waited for Galileo to catch up.

He was pulled from his thoughts, by movement from Valinta. Following her quickly as they found themselves deeper within the human ruins. While his counter part thought that Optime would be a better substitute when trawling through cities, Galileo stayed confinded to his Lupus form. The gentleman gazed up in unseen awe at the town. Although it was nothing too disimilar to the hundreds of other human structures he had seen through out his life, this was his.

Following Valinta into a shop, Galileo hung behind, taking his time unlike his through partner. 'We have to claim this place' he mused watching his friend walk ahead. He rolled his eyes in disbelief as the woman swooned over a cat. If she was this way over some animal, he'd hated to see how she treated her own son. When he caught up, he sat down in front of the woman and her cat. 'So can we agree that this place is fine and go back to the others?' The guys all needed to know, and this stuff needed to be sorted quickly. He didn't want to wait and even though this was a joint partnership and descions needed to be made by both parties, Galileo just wanted stability. For Gemma and Aslan more than himself.

As Valinta petted Princess Puff she gazed at the town through yellow eyes and nodded to herself. This was hers and Galileo's, for the betterment of the pack. It would be beautiful, most definitely. She smiled at the kitten she held, obviously a good omen from some god above that this town could hold life and would hold their pack's life.

"We should scout along the beach and see what there is to possibly claim over there." the woman suggested, as the expansive sands could hold treasures wonderful for their pack. Standing up, she set off towards those not-so-distant shores with a small smile of satisfaction on her muzzle, obviously pleased with herself for being able to find such a wonderful territory.

short spree post Smile

Galileo nodded, his face taking on an authorotive expression as his lupus form followed on wihtout complaint. 'Theres two islands' he said, his voice strong and powerful. He had noticed them over his time in the Western Tangles, he had muse for a long time over which island to claim as his own, finally chosing the smaller of the two, on the basis that he had no need for anything too large and that it would, in the end, be easier to keep.

The hybrid followed his darker companion, his teak dipped paws moving steadily along the cracked and uprooted human streets. These surfaces were not as kind to his paws as the soft grassy surfaces were, and there were a far way away from the sandy floor Galileo had so often trapsed across.
