Curiosity had brought her here, to the edges of the pack that Phoenix Valley was fated to join with soon, headed by this pack's current Alphess who had been at the meeting and the newcomer Jefferson had named as his successor. The multi colored Arctic hybrid female had resisted the draw of the curiosity at first, wanting nothing to do with this strange neighboring pack that was the face of such change to her second home but as the hours had passed by and her mind had ticked over and over and eventually her incessant curiosity had overcome her and she had run most of the 60 miles between the two packs, taking just over three hours to reach her present location.

Jace had no knowledge of Dahlia de Mai's bloody tortured history, of Haku Soul or the wars with the coyote clan Inferni and thus no idea why they would want to join with a different pack to shed themselves of their name and resume a new identity free of blood and ghosts. The female scouted around the borderlines, seeking out a source of water to drink from before quenching her thirst in a small stream. From there she hunted a rabbit from its hole and devoured the small mammal, only then did she deem herself suitably revived to do any serious detective work.

The female shifted into her optime form, her braided brown and white hair being jerked about by the small breeze, her coal black muzzle raising to the sky to test the air for any familiar scents, a habit ingrained into her behavior despite the fact that she knew she would find no one she was friendly with here. The woman resumed her almost stalking of just beyond the Dahlia de Mai borders, afterall she didn't want to be accused of trespassing

300+ (3 points) sorry it sucks -__-

Scouting the borders was not her job in this pack. In fact, she had no job yet, had pretty much been ignored in the haste to get things ready for the upcoming move to new lands. Not that she cared at all, being left alone was perfect. Tawny was just a scared little girl, not really ready to face all of the other canines in her new pack. So this is what she had taken to doing, walking the borders of Dahlia, hoping that she didn’t run into anyone.

This day was just like any other, and she found herself exploring an area that smelled like fresh water and growing plants. There was a small stream nearby, so she headed that way, wanting to play in the water. By the time she’d found what she was looking for, the sun was starting to slide lower in the sky. Not really a problem for her young eyes, so she shrugged it off and hopped into the shallow water. It was freezing, of course, and her malnourished body was too thin to properly drive the cold away. But, like a child, she didn’t realize that she was getting too cold until she stumbled and fell over her numb paws.

After her face and head got thoroughly soaked, she decided that it was time to get out of the water and try to dry off. Flopping over on the dirt shore, she stretched and rolled onto her back, wriggling her body around for a few moments to get the itchy wet feeling to go away. The small multi-colored wolf never smelled anything unusual, and didn’t notice anything off in the area, not that she was really looking. She had never been a guard, and didn’t know the first thing about defending territory. If someone wanted to infiltrate Dahlia lands, they’d have no problems getting by the pup-minded woman.

Her head suddenly snapped up as she detected a scent foreign to her in the air. the wolfdog snuffled with her nose in the air trying to catch the direction it was coming from. From the scent she learned that its owner was female and quite young and not in the best of health. She was torn between investigating and simply leaving, she knew the choice was obvious to choose but she couldn't make herself turn around and leave and with a heavy sigh she began to walk quietly in the direction of the scent, moving through the forest as silently as a shadow did upon the trees.

After a shirt time the sounds of splashing came to her ears and she wondered who would be playing about in water with it being as cold as it was. She peered through the bushes and saw a browny looking female rolling about on her back in the manner of a pup at play. Jace wondered if now was the time for her to make some new friends like she was always telling Temo to do. Gathering herself up she moved through the bushes creating a soft rustling sound and came out into the open warily

"Hello.."
