Word Count → 359 :: Free for anyone to join. <3 Its about early afternoon in the Garden of Eden, and Selena is in Optime form.

It was slightly warmer that day, especially in the Garden of Eden that had no protection from the sun besides its single tree. But, caressing winds gently kept the numerous flowers from getting too warm, as well as the surrounding air, making the area true to its name. Selena had decided to explore Inferni a bit more, since all she had been doing these days were watering plants and sitting in her room; she enjoyed doing such things, but she wanted to take a break so her interest would never dwindle. She left the mansion early that morning, and by early afternoon she came upon the meadow, and chose to rest there for some time. No duties had come to the Black’s attention, neither hunting nor patrolling or any of those things, so all she could do was wait for one of the leaders to tell her what she could do, but being a simple, new member she did not know the land well and was set on getting to know it better.

She went to go settle under the solitary tree, taking off her green cloak she used for camouflage because of her white coat, and let the calm breeze cool her stuffy fur for a moment; a highlight of being light-coated was that it was faster to cool down than having a dark pelt where the heat is trapped in it. After she felt more comfortable, Selena leaned against the trunk of the tree and again took out a rugged, blank notebook, and added to meadow to a piece of paper. She was taking note of the territories within Inferni she had already visited, with D'Neville and some of the Forest of Nod being the only others, and was going to memorize them later on in the night to chart them properly with her star maps for personal use. This land was new to the Black, and she wanted to have the terrain burned into her mind for the future. It was useless for her to live in Inferni and not know where certain things were, especially if one day something dire was to arise in one of them, though she wished for nothing like that to happen.

It was uncommon for the hybrid woman to venture as far from the caves where herself and her family made their home, but then again a lot of things were playing on her mind. Aslan had left for Cercatori d'...something or other, but Sarajevo had stayed. Io had supposed he was readying himself to leave, but had decided to do otherwise due to his brother's actions. The grey and white pelted hybrid had accompanied his mother on what had meant to be a short walk to clear her mind, but she had kept walking and walking, the merle hybrid saying nothing about it. While Sara was clearly larger than the average coyote male, he was also significantly smaller than the average wolf, which left him stuck awkwardly in the middle.

The boy paced slowly behind the red and white hybrid, not have any intrest in disturbing her train of thoughts. His blue eyes were fixed on the flowers, the colors mainly, for her had never been one to pay much attention to nature. Io's eyes, however, were pointed down to the ground, for she really had little intrest in the local wildlife that day. Her bag hung loosly by her side, the food within still warm, Sarajevo had had no idea where they were going but his mother did.

Her eyes picked up on a white shape under a tree, leaning that it was infact just another member. While Io was ready to ignore the girl and carry on, Sarajevo had already began the interaction. 'Hey' came a soft, gruff greeting from the boy, so like his father in tone, though lighter and younger of course. With a sharp roll of her eyes, Io followed her son, relucntanly however, who had already picked the picnic spot. She undid her bag and pulled out a sliver of dry meat, which she began to eat while she walked.

WC → 330 :: "Ohhey, I know your son." What a way to start a conversation, Sel. xD

In the back of her mind, she thought later on she may have heard something besides the slight rustling of the branches of the trees, but her main focus was on the crumpled paper in front of her as she sketched a rough draft of what were bits and pieces of the garden and Nod in a bird’s eye view with numbers of guessed measurements. The sharp voice that sliced the silence surprised the coywolf, her hand jerking at a sudden angle, the charcoal she was using at that moment to write with scarring the paper with a deep wound of black across its crisp surface. Furrowing her eyebrows, upset though not really angered, she looked at the boy whom caused her to jump. Another was with the young one, one whom she guessed to be his mother. For a moment she watched the other female walk for a moment, which seemed displeased, and looked back to the boy.

“Hello,” the ivory Tirones greeted the smaller male, offering a friendly smile along with it, but was also directing her words towards the other hybrid as well. “My name is Selena Black, what’s yours?” She placed the parchment back into her bag─ maybe it was still reabable, she decided, but did not inspect the damaged that she made across the paper, and got up on her feet, glancing over the two Infernians; neither of them held a scent that was familiar, but something about the woman’s scent reminded her of someone, and it took only a mere moment to think of whom. Selena looked more at the russet-and-white female than the merle hybrid as she spoke a question came out more like a statement. “You must be one of Aslan’s mothers; I’ve met him before in the greenhouse at D’Neville.” The young boy had told the she about how he had two mothers, and this must be one of them, since the woman in front of her smelled similar to him.

Io herself was about to answer, but was cut off by the boy hybrid who had taken his seat not far away from the girl at all. Io sat down a slight way away, chewing on the meat and listening to the boy, 'I'm Sarajevo Berlin and thi-' he was cut off sharply by his mother as soon as he turned around, his face faltered and he turned back to the viory girl with a placid face. The russet hybrid finished her mouthful and spoke, 'Io Berlin'. Her voice wasn't cold, but there was little warmth within her tone.

The woman raised an eyebrow, only to show that she really was paying attention. 'Really...' she drew out the word softly, but not too obviously careful not to seem sarcastic. Sarajevo looked up, taking a strip of meat from his mother. He spoke softly, his voice more filled of sorrow than anger, 'He left. Recently. He went to Cercatori d'Arte with my uncle. And my father...' he frowned softly as he mentioned his father. He did not know him all that well, having been only little when he left. Sarajevo himself had considered leaving Inferni, to be a loner, but Aslan's departure had upset his plans. Io and Aslan had spoken of leaving, and Sarajevo felt the need to join them, though he was not sure his younger adopted siblings would be joining them.

WC → 397 :: Sorry for the slight wait, I hope you don't mind. c: <3

“It is good to meet you both, Sarajevo and Io,” she said politely as she dip her head in respect towards the older hybrid, but she had caught her rather blunt though not offending tone. Confusion crossed the ivory coywolf’s face for a mere moment as she considered simply asking what was bothering the bi-colored woman, but she decided not to and wiped the muddled expression off her face; it may have been personal, and Selena did not want any more hostile feelings towards her than what she had already. It was obvious that the russet sister of the Aquila had a distaste for her, and that alone could teeter her place among Inferni, and she could somewhat tell that Io was an experienced member of the clan, and it was best to show respect to her. Though it was an easy thing to do, it was alien for Selena feel like she was someone of lower standing than others and had to watch her own mouth so it would not slip unwanted words. It must have been the fact that she came from a place where she was respected since birth, and she was not raised to be expected differently.

It did not seem to affect the hybrid that she was familiar with her son, which made her even further confused. The younger Luperci, the one called Sarajevo, explained what happened to Aslan. It at first came as a surprise to the ivory girl; the boy spoke nothing of leaving Inferni, but then again he left a subtle hint that he was going to his uncle, though she only then assumed it was a visit. Then she felt sad, since he was one of the few nice souls that she came across in this clan, but that notion was short lived as it occurred to her that this could be why Io was so unfriendly. “I am sorry to hear about that, he was a nice young man,” she said, truly sincere, and went on, “But I’m sure he’ll come by soon, since it seems he cares about his family very much.” She remembered Aslan mentioning his other mother’s, Aeron’s, puppies, and how he loved to play with them, and perhaps he would feel a little homesick and visit his family for a bit, since that’s what she would have done if her relatives lived closer.

Io scoffed, but nodded none the less. 'We are moving' she stated softly. Finihed off another sliver of meat. 'Well, you an Aeron are...' Sarajevo said softly. His mother nodded softly. She had known for some time now her son's desires to break away from the family block. Io didn't suspect that the girls would be joining them either, Aeron had stated that the girls place was in Inferni and Io had agreed. She didn't mind, when she left for Anathema she would have no burdens. No children to care for. Something wich strangly pleased her and depressed her side by side. She was none the less excited by the move, though never showing it. It would be a new start, something the bi-coloured female would welcome warmly. The journey and the settling in parts would be the parts she would grown restless over. Io had a great distaste in wandering, she hated to be between packs. She hated to have her home unorganised, it bugged her to no end.

Io pulled another sliver of meat from the bag, passing one over to Sarajevo and pausing afterwards. 'Do you want one?' she asked suddenly, holidng one out. 'Though I warn you, they are heavly peppered and marianted, very dry too. Many around here do not enjoy the taste'. It was a common food in her home. Usually commoners food as her mother had put it, largely tastless, tough, easy and cheap to make. 'Privaleged children should not eat commoner food' her mother used to warn. Io never listened, although the food was largely basic, the hybrid found it an simple comfort food.

WC → 356 :: :C Selena hates seeing people leave. xD

“Moving?” Selena echoed Io, turning her head towards the russet woman in, again, slight shock, though the expression on her face only showed a meek interest; she was becoming better at hiding her emotions, it seemed. The pale girl again felt sad that the clan was losing its members left and right, but then again she did not know how many coyotes were hidden in the caves, or in the mansion enclosed by the trees, or perhaps who knows where else was inhabitable in the territory. Still, it dawned upon Selena as an event that demanded some kind of emotion from her, instead of it passing through one ear and out the other. She can at least sympathize with the woman and her son. She, too, had feelings of leaving her roots, to make her own, and perhaps the young Sarajevo was sharing the same intuition she had. As for the bi-colored mother, she was uncertain why she was leaving, and she would not ask.

Her mind waist-deep in thoughts, she nearly had not caught Io’s offer; she looked curiously at the piece of meat, though no signs of distaste came upon her face. “Thank you,” Selena said softly as she took the sliver of meat, giving it a quick sniff before swallowing it; it was a habit she had, always smelling things before she ate them, to give an idea what it could perhaps taste like. “We used to have foreign food, me and my family, since we lived in a port town. So, you can say that I acquired a taste for anything out of the norm of just fresh meat.” That was true; being more like an upper-class family, they did not just survived, they lived, and had the luxury of playing with their food with whatever techniques came from the docks from different settlements. “But I enjoy simple food as well… That was very good,” she complemented, giving Io a small smile that was the usual way the ivory she expressed her mild happiness, and saw where Aslan got his interest in cooking from. “Perhaps, wherever you are going, the people there will like your food better than the ones here.”

Had she not been clear enough? The female's head tilted side ways an inch in confusion, 'Yes...' she said slowly, her accent thick. Io wondered faintly on how it was possible to get confused at such a straight forward , crystal clear comment. 'To Anathema' she added quickly, pausing before taking a bit of the treated meat. A smile graced the russet and white hybrid's lips, 'I am glad someone here has taste'. Despite the smile on her face, her words were hollow and soft, low in tone. Her gaze turned towards Sarajevo as he stood, 'If you ladies don't mind, I've got somewhere to be'. And with that he left. Io's smiled faded as she turned back to the woman, 'Sorry about Sarajevo...' she said softly, her gazed turning down.

The russet and white woman shrugged, 'Perhaps. But if you want any more, or anything else for that matter. Howl for me at the pack's borders and I shall come'. She never really had anything else useful to do anyway, other than wait for someone to request something from her. And even then it was only usually Aeron or Sarajevo, and with Sarajevo pending a seperate move than his mothers, that would leave Io with only Aeron.
