For Teddy SmileSmile Set in the Cobequid Foothills if that's ok? Also I hope this post is ok, I'm a little rusty!!

pushitinShe had once known these lands, once travelled them without fear, although with enough sense not to stray too far from any path. The moaning woods had been a creaking, shreiking jumble of green foliage once, mist had covered the ground, and now it had crumbled to dust almost, blackened shards of trees jutted from bare ground, the silence was deafening. Soran would never have classed them as being her favourite place, but now she found that she missed them deeply, as she did her old home. The dark lady had been back there again, travelling through the ashen lands that had once held the packs which homed many of her friends.
pushitinTwo years she had been gone, two years without looking back, she had been a fool to return when she had, too many memories had risen, too sharp to swallow, too heavy to push back into a corner, she hadn't been able to lock the door on them completely. But now the green eyed fae found herself back in the foothills of lands she knew well, she hadn't been intending on coming back here, she hadn't planned anything, she had just walked. On and on, not looking around her, until she had found herself in the lands which had contained her pirate pack. There the sable lady had fallen to her knees and wept, screaming and tearing at her fur. It was all gone, she knew it had all been gone, but here it was right before her eyes, the house, the boat, everything. She had brushed the ash from her pup's tomb, it had been nothing fancy, just a slab with shaky names and a date carved into it, but she couldn't leave it covered as it was.
pushitinThat had been her moment of clarity, here she was mourning her dead pups and comrades all over again when she had left perfectly living family just South of here. She had abandoned them in her selfishness, her son, her grandchildren, everyone. And what had she gained from leaving? Nothing, no matter how far she had run she had never been able to escape her past, the troublesome thing about memories, she had realised, was that you carried them with you no matter where you were, it was better to cope with them around loved ones.
pushitinAnd so she had hitched her old leather satchel up on her shoulder and had begun the walk Southward, towards ones she knew, to ones she had loved. And now she found herself at the foothills, the acrid smell of sulphur filling her nostrils, she winced at the very scent, but underlaying she could pick up the faint smell of other wolves, hope stirred in her chest, perhaps someone she knew would still be living, still pleased to see her, she could, hopefully, have her family back. She blanched as she realised her grandchildren, tiny bundles of fur that could barely string a sentence together would now be full grown wolves, with lithe limbs, places in their own packs, perhaps even families of their own. She would have missed so much, she hoped they would forgive her, but would they even remember her?
pushitinHer bright eyes scanned the nearby landscape, long fingers brushed her curled mane away from her eyes and deftly opened her pack. Perching herself on a nearby rock she began to chew absent mindedly at some dried rabbit she had taken with her on the journey. She was close now, the lady was getting older after all, she was allowed a break once in a while. She would rest here for a moment and then continue further into the lands, she would find someone, anyone...

[apologies for the lack of table and the rubbish post. im trying to get back into my characters <33]

There was a curiosity about the black male that was unusual for him. Since his meeting with Zalen by the shore and the subsequent realisation that he was alienating himself from the world, closing down and speaking really only to his mate. He was the Rakeeb of Anathema, Naniko's right hand man. And he had to be able to be approachable and he had to become more involved in his pack. He had to find a friendlier side to himself, or there was really no chance of him staying in this top position. Anathema didnt need enemies, and with him handling alliances with his gruff manner and harsh words, he wouldn't be very successful. Changing ones whole outlook on life was a difficult and lengthy task, but he had to start somewhere, He realised that while everybody in Anathema knew about Demi's miscarriage, nobody had approached them to ask if they were okay. And it was entirely his fault for being harsh and unapproachable in previous times. The male wore a scowl that was much more like his old self and he did his best to school it into something a little easier to the eye. He was wandering once more today althought he didnt expect to see anyone.

News that a new pack had opened up the previously burnt area's north of the Halycon Mountains had lit the males curiosity. He'd set off this morning, existing the Howling Caverns through the storage rooms back entrance and come straight into the foothills on the other side. He'd thought about going straight to have a look at this new pack, but these new areas intrigued him. So he began to wander. And as he wandered, a scent caught his nose. Rabbit, but more wolf than anything. Teddy followed his nose and soon enough, an elderly woman sitting atop a rock with a piece of dried rabbit. His natural instinct was to walk away, to continue on his own. But his conscience told him to stop and talk a while. It might benefit him in the future.

"Hello miss..."

He tried polite but it came out a bit awkward and disjointed. Still, he was trying and thats all that mattered to him.

No worries Smile I'm the same, I lost the code for my table and had to go hunting for it lol. I thought your post was good though. A small plot thing, can Teddy not tell Soran where Naniko is please? After this thread she goes on a long walk looking for her lol.

pushitinSoran raised another piece of dried rabbit meat to her mouth, she chewed slowly, not really eating for hunger, it was more something for her hands to do; stopping them worrying nervously at her necklaces or curling her dark mane around and around a finger. She was deep in thought, her eyes half closed, not really focused on anything in particular; staring through the low, half-dead shrub before her, rather than at it. She was lost in her thoughts, thoughts of little Salem who looked so much like her dark self, the same green eyes, the same jet fur, he could have been herself at that age, if looked at from a distance, or even his uncle. A pang of guilt jolted through her chest as her thoughts settled on Khaden, her lovely dark son, the only one of her living children to bear her surname. It was her own fault, she had named them, she supposed she could have given them her own surname, but she couldn't quite bear to have any connection to them, not after what their evil father had done to her. Now she almost wished she had named them all Aatte, stamped her mark on them, perhaps then she would have been able to stay around and look after them properly, perhaps then she could have felt more responsibility for them. There were so many choices she would have made differently now; unfortunately hindsight was only available when it was too late. She just hoped that the members of her broken family that still lived in the area would forgive her, accept that she had had to leave when she did. She hoped beyond everything that Conri had conquered his personal demons and somehow found the will to be a good father to the pups he had helped create. She also hoped that he had somehow found Dhalia and Khaden, perhaps that would alleviate the nagging guilt that was gnawing in the pit of her stomach.
pushitinHer silent thoughts were interrupted by a voice. "Hello miss" it had said, a male voice. Slowly she opened her eyes and was stunned by what she saw, a large male wolf with a jet pelt, for a moment she thought it was Khaden, was about to lunge at him and wrap her arms around him, capture him in a rib-crunching hug. But alas it was not him, the coyote blood from his father would never have allowed him to grow so tall, or fill out so broadly. A small ripple of disappointment made her shoulders droop a little. But that was unfair to this dark stranger that had accidentally stumbled upon her, perhaps he would know something about where any of her family were, her children, grandchildren... anyone, even if he didn't know, the obsidian fae could do with a conversation, perhaps he would lighten her mood a little. Plus he had called her "miss" and no-one really did that anymore, the small strands of grey fur that were starting to appear along the line of her facial scar were beginning to get her called ma'am, that's when anyone spoke to her at all, she hadn't seen anyone for so long. She covered her mouth with a dark hand and finished chewing the piece of rabbit in her mouth, remembering that others didn't tend to like to see what you were eating whilst you talked to them. Once she had swallowed she rested her hand back on her knee, mustering a small shy smile, she felt silly now, sitting in silence while she chewed the way she had, she hoped that this male didn't think she had been trying to ignore him.
"Hello, please excuse me I had my mouth full. Who are you?" She said, hoping she still remembered how to execute a polite conversation.
