For Princess and Haven, and the small ones Smile Set on the 7th of July. Also apologies if this isn't amazing, I'm a little rusty.

pushitinThe sun was rising, the lazy ord hanging above the horizon now, painting the sky with light, the clouds blushed pink and orange, while the blue sky between them shone with the promise of a nice day. Soran smiled, she had walked all night after meeting that Teddy fellow much further north from here. She had managed to sleep briefly, but the pull of family was too strong to contend with, the dark lady hadn't slept well, too concerned that she had left it too long, that she would be unable to find any of her blood relations. Maybe they had disappeared just like Dhalia and Khaden had, she was their mother and yet she barely knew them, she had been a useless parent to them, it was true that they had been conceived to a male she hated under violence, but that was not their fault, she should not have punished them by abandoning them. And now she feared that she had lost her chance to be something of a beloved matriarch to her grandchildren, having abandoned them too, without gaining much of a chance to know them either. Now she replayed the scattered fragments of the conversations she had had with them, such brief encounters now held so much significance for her. Beyond everything she hoped they were still here, Brooklyn, Mati, Salem who had looked so much like the dark lady herself, and Haven, little Haven who had been so similar to his father at that age. But of course now they would be grown, she didn't even know whether they would still be here, or even still alive, she hoped desperately that they would be both, but if the choice came, knowing they were alive and well would be enough.
pushitinSo with the rising sun at her back the green eyed lady was walking towards Crimson Dreams, the last place she had seen her son and Naniko, if they were still there perhaps the pups would be, if not they would know where they would be, they had the makings of being much better parents than she herself was. On and on she had walked and now was no different, she knew she was near a pack, she could smell it, but it was not her destination, so she would pass it by, if needs be she could always come back if her search proved fruitless. Her paws were light on the ground, although she had aged since she had last trod these paths she trod them as if she had never been away, this felt right, this was her home, no matter how she tried to run from it, it would always be her home. The sable lady was home, although not so sable now, small grey hairs were appearing in her fur she noticed, just a few around her dark muzzle, along the line of the scar which ran across her right eye and down her snout. This didn't annoy her as much as she had anticipated, she was in fact enjoying the greying fur, at least she wasn't really greying yet, for a wolf that had narrowly escaped being killed at birth she was rather proud of her seven years. Well, almost eight years so far.
pushitinThe green eyed fae paused for a moment, sitting down, shaking her leather satchel from around her neck and licking at her foreleg, she hadn't been quite able to get all of the ash out of her fur after travelling back into the old lands to visit the pup's grave, and it was beggining to make her itch, so she sat and licked, trying to wash the stubborn particles from her foreleg. The dark fae gave a lazy yawn and listened momentarily to the waves lapping at the shore, before going back to her task.

The pretty woman walked quickly, dutifully following her rambunctious daughter to the shores. Robin had not been interested in waiting for Princess to gather anything, so she did not carry anything with her, having had a hard enough time slipping into a pale pink sundress before Robin took off. Today was a day she intended to spend with Robin, doing whatever it was that her good-natured trouble-maker wanted to do. She did not know what Haven was doing, or even Linden or Felicity, but she was not worried. They had been good parents so far and their children knew not to leave the pack lands, and surely they were safe when they were close to home.

"Hurry up, momma!" the mottled brown puppy called from up ahead. It seemed as if that was all she ever had to say to her mother, for Princess simply could not seem to move fast enough for the girl's liking. As usual, the beautiful Lady Chance quickened her pace with a smile and a light laugh. She had been such an impatient puppy that she could not be at all bothered by Robin's impatient excitement. Her children were all wonderful. Despite her rough childhood and Haven's own, they had raised their three puppies perfectly. I'm nothing like you, she told her mother in her mind. She did not know if Tokyo was still around or even if she was still alive. Princess did not care if she never saw her again. Ares, on the other hand...

The woman's thoughts were broken quickly when she realized that there was someone on the beach already, someone she did not recognize and who was not a member of the kingdom, judging by the scent on the air. "Robin, wait!" she called, but there was no use for it. The mottled brown puppy with the splash or her father's orange-red fur across her chest approached boldly, bright blue eyes looking back to her mother briefly before returning to the stranger. "Who're you?" she asked nosily as her mother came up quickly behind her, golden gaze a bit nervous, wary of the ebony stranger. "I'm sorry, she gets adventurous. Robin, don't run off from me again," she chided her daughter gently.

Robin is super cute Smile

pushitinThe ebony lady was rather enjoying the day so far, she was mostly cleaned off now, her ebony limbs were free from the ash of the old lands, ash of the house and the boat. She had momentarily paused to think about this, wondering for a moment if she should leave some of it, or save some of it, it was the only thing she really had of her old home, well, the only thing left of it's destruction, she still had the jagged piece of flint that hung around her neck on a leather strap; and she supposed she had gathered the beads from the feathers that adorned it from around the lands as well, but it didn't seem a sturdy enough piece of evidence that the lands had even existed. She still had a couple of books and her flue, but again, it didn't seem tactile enough, substantial enough, it wasn't the house, where her son was born, it wasn't the kitchen where she had fallen in love with Deuce, all she had left of her old home were some small trinkets, they were insignificant to most, but to the green eyed fae they meant more than anything she could have explained. Thinking of falling in love with Deuce made the ebony fae sigh, the alabaster fae had been the love of her life, well perhaps the second love, for she would always love Summer, had she not died then the chance was high that the pair of them would still have been together now, growing old and silver furred together. But she had fallen in love with Deuce and lost her as well, she seemed to be especially skilled at losing those she loved, she had even chose to lost some of them.
pushitinThinking of Deuce made the ebony fae long to touch the pentagram necklace around her neck, it had been given to her by the alabaster fae on the night the pair had become mates, it was the only thing she had left of Deuce; again another treasured possession. With a moment of renewed energy the ebony fae stood, stretching out her limbs, listening to them crack and groan as her legs lengthened, felt her knee joints change, her hips realigning themselves so that she could stand on two legs, a long curled mane growing from her head. Finally she was herself again, ten fingers and ten toes, long lithe limbs, curled mane. She sat down where she had been again once the change was fully complete, though this time cross legged, her fingers instantly reaching for her throat, brushing first against the cool stone of the flint necklace, and then against the silver pentagram. Deft fingers stroked against it gently, her fingers turning it this way and that on the silvered chain. The dark lady was lost entirely in a reverie, thinking about the alabaster fae and how, for a time, she had been completely happy. Oh how she hoped that she could regain that happiness.
pushitinThese thoughts were broken by a sudden nervous shout, she turned her head to see who had shouted to suddenly be greeted with a mottled brown pup, with a shock of red across her chest, a very familiar red to Soran, although she knew it was ridiculous to assume that everyone who bore an orange flash of fur was in some way related to her children, though perhaps she might have been Conri's child, he could have found a new mate after all. At the little brown pup's question she looked down at her and smiled slightly, they were such joys when they were that age, so adventurous, so over excited, keen to see everything and anything they could, quick to question, quick to explore, quick to rush about. The sable furred lady was just about to reply when a worried looking fae suddenly rushed up, apologising and scolding the small child for rushing off. Soran raised her head to meet the golden gaze of this other fae, smiling more broadly now she could see that this must be the pup's mother and not some stranger who was chasing her, then again the pup couldn't have been being chased, she was far too relaxed.

"Oh don't worry about it, my son was just the same when he was her age." The ebony lady replied with a little laugh, though it was cut short by the realisation that Dhalia and Khaden too would have been rushing around at that age and she had missed it.
"In answer to your question little one, I'm Soran, Soran Aatte, and it's very nice to meet you and your mother, what's your name?" The ebony fae replied to the little lady that was looking up at her, "I am sorry, what's your name as well, it's very impolite to only ask for one of a pair's name after all." The obsidian wolf added, smiling up at the brown furred mother, wondering if she should stand, or if the smaller of the pair would be very upset at losing eye contact.

Sorry for the wait. :c And really sorry for the weird post. o.O +5 points.

The pretty Lady of the kingdom regarded the ebony female with care, as she did most strangers, particularly those so close to her home in the kingdom with her young children. Her life had not been an easy one and she did well not to forget that, and it affected every bit of the life she lived now, though she had grown fairly comfortable with Haven in the court of miracles. She knew he would not allow harm to come to her and their children, and he had proven this many times, saving her and protecting her when she could not do it herself. If she had to be honest with herself, she knew she was a bit... useless, but it was made up for with other traits, she thought. She did not mind relying on him to keep her safe.

"Hey! That's my name, too!" Robin replied enthusiastically, though her mother's expression did not match the excitement that garnished her daughter's face. In fact, Princess would have paled if she were not covered in fur, golden eyes going wide and her pupils narrowing ever so slightly. "I'm Robin Aatte! It's my daddy's name, and now my name and Linden's name, too," she added in a tone she intended to be very serious, very important, though it was comical coming from the mottled brown girl of such a rambunctious nature.

The young Lady Chance did not find this as wonderful as Robin did, obviously, her posture becoming nervous, jittery, fingers reaching up to brush away a lock of hair from her face. "Sweetheart," she said, her tone just a bit more sharp than she had intended it to be, "I think daddy would like to be here, too, don't you think?" Princess waited for the agreement from her daughter before lifting her lovely delicate face to the sky and calling for him. They were not far away from home, so she did not think it would take long at all for him to arrive.

He would want to be here now, to greet this stranger that carried his name. Was this a relative of his rapist father, whom he despised so much and wanted to be nothing like? Or was this a relative of Naniko who would go and tell the woman of their children? Naniko did not know of the existence of her grandchildren and Princess intended to keep it that way. She was not fit to be around them from what she had heard and Haven was not on good terms with her. The only grandmother these pups would know was Anu. They would never know Naniko, they would never know Tokyo. The woman would always make sure of that.

Turning back to the woman that her daughter was still romping around excitedly, though it had certainly been curbed by the sharpness of her mother's voice, Princess smiled uncomfortably. "I am Princess Chance. I apologize. I was startled, for your name... It is my mate's and two of our children's."

WC: 1432 (Apologies, I got a bit rambly...) Don't worry about the wait, I don't mind Smile And I liked the post, shall I add a call for Haven into the title?

The ebony lady liked this little female, she was such a little ball of energy. She was fond of all young wolves, she delighted in their little quirks, their little habits, they reminded her of her own children, Conri when he ahd been young had been such a fluffy streak of red fur, for that was all you saw of him as he was racing about so quickly. She could not pretend to know how the twins had behaved when they were young, she had missed so much of their young lives, being unable to cope with them, they made the memories bubble to the surface of her mind to frequently, looking at them was like rubbing salt into open wounds, she could not bear to be around them for such a long time. The dark lady had left them because of that, and when she had come back they had been grown, with their own lives, their own little quirks, especially Dhalia, she was far from stable, too much of her father's blood was flowing in her veins, but Khaden had been so much more like her, her male mirror image had been cold towards her, but she could not blame him, should she see her dark son again she would do all she could to make amends with him, she missed her older children desperately. At least she had been something of a good mother to her youngest pups, they had been a handful and a half, all four of them seemed to speak a secret language that she herself could not decipher, they would all suddenly take off, racing towards the same goal, zipping in criss crossed lines so that their mother could not catch them, all four of them running cirlces around her. But each of them had a good heart, they were very good natured, she loved them all dearly, they had said their goodbyes and she had travelled here though, but she was certain that they would at least come and visit her, they had promised, just as she had promised to always have a warm welcome and a safe place to sleep waiting for them should they chose to seek her out. Oh how she missed all of her children, she hoped beyond hope that they would all suddenly appear to see her, even Dhalia, she was not sure how to take her daughters disjointed take upon reality, but she would try, after all she was her daughter. Her son had committed unspeakable acts of violence against those he was supposed to have loved, those he had sworn to proetect, Soran could never have forgiven him for them even if she wanted to, but despite it all she still loved him, he was her son after all, and her motherly bond could not be broken, despite all that he had done.

It was then that the little ball of brown fluff with her red chest spoke. The ebony fae's face fell into a look of utter shock, she was an Aatte, not only that she had taken the name from her father, and her brother seemed to bear the same surname as well. The ebony fae had more family, what a delight, it was such good news, the dark lady never recieved good news, or good luck for that matter, life only seemed to throw her a moment of happiness to make losing it again all the more painful. She hoped beyond everything that this was not one of those cases. The obsidian female stared into the face of the young female before her, searching her for some sign as to who her father would be, when the lady had last been here there had only been two Aatte's roaming the lands besides herself. Khaden and Haven, but which one was her father, she supposed that Khaden could have fathered her, it was not unusual for males to take younger mates she thought, her eyes raising to look at Princess once again, smiling at her slightly as she did so. But this fae had red fur, surely that would suggest Haven as her father, he would be old enough now she supposed, this idea had only just occured to her, afterall she still saw him as being little Robin's size, that was about how big he had been the last time she had seen him. Then again Khaden would bear the genes for red fur, although he had inherited his dark mother's onyx pelt his father had been a shocking vibrant red, as were his brother and sister, surely somewhere buried in his genetic code would be the right cocktail of chemicals to create red pups, perhaps this little fae had just been a chance moment, the red coming through in her, perhaps her brother was as jet as his father? The lady was unsure though, there was only one way to know for sure.
"Who is your father little one? Khaden or Haven? Or someone else?" She addressed this question to the pup, not wanting her to feel as if what she had said had suddenly become a grown up's only conversation.

It would seem though that the ebony fae needed not ask, as Princess then suggested that they summoned the little one's father, her mate surely. It would seem that the ebony female would not have to wait very long to know whether this little excitable creature was her granddaughter or great granddaughter. Soran felt uneasy, there was something in the other female's tone that made her nervous, she searched her golden eyes for any sign that there was something wrong, had something happened? She knew that she had not been the best mother, but she doubted that Khaden or Haven would have slated her to such a degree that their mate would be so nervous around the dark lady, they knew that she was completely harmless unless she had to be otherwise, that although she had been quick to abandon them when her heart had been so shattered and the winds of her mind too turbulant, she had never physically harmed them, the dark lady would not have dreamed of it, she would rather die than cause one of her blood any pain. That went for her alabaster almost-daughter as well, Naniko was close enough to be family, she would not want her to be caused any pain by her actions either. The ebony fae decided that it was probably best if she were to stand, the air had become uncomfortable around her, she did not like being sat when there was clearly so much tension here, she wanted to be able to turn on her heels and run if needs be. So she stood, her full height being rather impressive, although she was too lithe and willowy to appear as a threat to anyone around her, she may have had the height, but she certainly did not have anything like an imposing stance or muscles. She glanced down to the little girl again, smiling as she bounced about, before turning her gaze back to the fae.

She aplogised, perhaps there was less tension between them than the dark female had been anticipating, she supposed that it was a shock to them both, suddenly having a long lost relative turn up on the doorstep as it were. It was slightly amusing to the ebony lady, she had come here looking for her children and it appeared that she had found a whole other branch of her family.
"Do not apologise, I think I am as shocked as you are, when I left these lands I had not expected to come back to so many changes. It is nice to meet you Princess. The ebony fae replied, offering the younger girl a dark hand to shake in greeting.
"I apologise if my being here is making anything uncomfortable, it was not my intention, I was resting, funnily enough I was looking for my children, it would appear I have found more than that here." Soran said, a smile now playing on her lips, there was still a tension in the air, she was attempting to blow it away by being pleasant and as far from threatening as she could be. She knew that others might be wary of her, after what Conri had done, but she was not her son, just as he had proved himself to not be her. But still others did not always see it that way, perhaps in all the confusion, she had been blamed, a poor upbringing perhaps?

Fingers nervously fluttered by her ear as she tucked a strand of hair in with the rest, anticipating her mate's arrival to find this bizarre twist of events that had unfolded here. Robin did not seem to be all that bothered by her mother's obvious discomfort, though, and she could not be blamed, surely, as she was so young. "My daddy's name is Haven, and he is a Knight," the small puppy announced proudly, prancing in place with her tail held high. Each time she told someone that, it was with the highest sense of pride possible for a girl so small.

"Robin, Daddy should be coming soon, if you want to go a little ways away to meet him," Princess said to her daughter, watching the excitement dawn on her face with the permission she had just been granted. Not a moment too soon, Princess added, "Please don't go very far!" She merely watched for a moment until her daughter stopped and turned to look at her for approval that she was not too far away. It was not that the young mother did not want her daughter around the stranger with the same name, but she wished to have a moment to speak with her without Robin underfoot.

The pretty Lady of the kingdom did not know where to begin. With a small sigh, she fiddled with the hem of her dress. "Neither of us are on good terms with our families. The only family that our children know are Anu and her sons and Mati," she began uneasily. "I do not know if you are a relative of Haven's mother or father, but he will want to know you are here. Particularly, we know Naniko is in the area. She does not know of our children and we do not... Wish to change that," she said delicately, attempting to explain her strange reaction to Soran's presence so close to the kingdom they lived in.

The Knight had been out on Drogon doing his usual border patrols when his mate's howl reached his ears. Haven instantly pulled back on the reins to stop the stallion and listened intently. It was not a long call, but there was an odd note to Princess' voice that instantly put him on edge. There was no hint of danger, but something clearly was not completely fine either. The last thing he wanted was for her to be in an awkward situation for too long when she wanted him, especially if she had any of the pups with her. The Aatte man quickly wheeled Drogon around and put his heels to his sides and they took off in the direction his love's call had come from. In a flash they were past the borders of the Court and his jade eyes were peeled for the first glimpse of Princess' curly mane.

The soul he first saw though was not his mate, but his little daughter Robin. She jumped excitedly when he came into her view and he hurriedly brought Drogon to a halt again—Robin was often not as careful around horses as she should be. Haven dismounted and took the reins in his hand as he knelt down to greet his daughter. "Daddy, daddy! There's a lady over there who has the same name as us!" He ran a gentle hand down Robin's back while his pupils contracted. "Is there? Well we shouldn't keep her and your mother waiting. Remember, don't walk too close to Drogon." Robin nodded her head eagerly and bounced back off towards her mother whom he could see clearly now...as well as the dark woman before her.

The ochre man casually lead his horse up to the two women and wrapped his arm protectively around Princess' shoulders before his jade eyes locked onto their matching pair set in an ebony visage. He didn't have very many memories of this woman, had only known her briefly, but he had so little family he knew it was hard to forget a face. "What are you doing here?" he asked in a stony voice. Soran had never done anything to hurt or displease him, but too much had changed since he had last set eyes on her as a young and innocent pup for him to be happy with her sudden appearance near his home.

Haven speaks. Child speaks. Another child speaks.

Ohh... Haven is maaaad XD Small thing, please don't tell Soran what Naniko did, Savina tells her later... EDIT: of course Erin you would know this *facepalms* WC: 1357 Sorry, it's an extra ramble because I was replying to both of you XD

The ebony fae listened to the little fae's reply, and her eyes widened, this made the little patchwork ball of fluff her great grandaughter. That made the sable female a great grandmother, she had not been expecting that, of course Haven and Mati would be old enough to have had their own litters of pups by now, they were old enough to have taken mates and procreated as they chose she supposed, but the last time she had laid her emerald eyes upon either of them they had been nothing more than tiny bundles of fluff themselves, no bigger than this little patchwork girl with her vivid markings. Although it was a fact that they had grown it had not really occured to Soran, after all they had been tiny when she had left, leaving them in the care of her pale daughter, her son having already fled, something which although it pained Soran, she knew was for the best, he was in no fit state to raise pups, to be anything close to a decent father, but her pale daughter had always been so stable, so loving and patient, she had imagined leaving the little ones in the care of her and Anu was the best thing for them. Soran herself had not been in a good place mentally, she could not cope with being in the lands, the painful memories of what had happened stabbing at her too often, let alone the challenges of helping her pale daughter raise a litter of pups by a male who had attacked her so viciously, they had been living reminders of Soran's own ordeal and she had been completely unable to cope with them, but now she felt she was. She knew that her chances were slim, she had abandoned them after all, though she did not yet know of the true extent of her abandonment, she had no idea of the pale mother's betrayal of her young children, the terrible act that would lead them to turn their backs on her. She had thought she was doing the best thing possible by leaving them, she had always trusted Naniko, although she guessed that something had gone terribly wrong within her family, simply by the fae's stance and the way she spoke, surely that could not be all for her, she had never hurt the pups, nor would she have wanted to, she had not been cruel, until she had found herself unable to stand the lands any longer she had tried to be the best grandmother she could be to them. Something was terribly wrong here.

The brown pelted female allowed her little daughter to wander off a little way. Although Soran was desperate to get to know this little female, she was glad of this, her head was reeling with the news that she had become a great grandmother in her absence, and the nagging doubt that she was not welcome here at all would not leave the back of her mind. The sable lady was glad to have this time alone to speak to Princess without worrying about offending small ears or divulging information that her parents would not want her to know, she was very young after all, it was too much to place the weight of her parent's and great grandmother's worries upon her small shoulders yet. She listened as the fae began to explain, the fae felt a sudden sadness, so Naniko was indeed within these lands and she knew nothing of her grandchildren, that was an awful thing to know, what had she done to make them cut ties so thoroughly? Why did they want her to remain in the dark about her grandchildren? What had she done? She had not hurt one of them had she? The ebony fae loved her pale daughter deeply, but she could never forgive her if she had hurt one of the pups, Soran had trusted her when she had left, thinking that she was a good mother, she did not know how well she could cope with another betrayal from one of her children. She nodded as the female spoke, watching her with green eyes, she seemed nervous, no doubt this was as awkward for the Cour Des Miracles girl as it was for the sable loner. She felt a little sorry for her then, having to be the bearer of such bad news, it was not her fault, no matter what had happened, and the lady's ears drooped slightly at the knowledge that something terrible had happened and this poor girl had to be the bringer of such bad news.
"I am Haven's grandmother, on his father's side. I haven't seen him since he was much larger than Robin there, I... left when he was young." The lady said, she was going to add more, to speak of how she was disgusted with her son's actions, how she could never forgive him, but she did not know if Haven would even know what had happened, she doubted that little Nani would have told him, it was a terrible burden to put upon a child, Soran knew that well enough, Conri had killed his own father after he attacked Soran, something which the sable fae blamed herself for to this very day. If he had not found her in such a damaged and broken state then perhaps he would not have changed into what he had become.
"I did not know Naniko was in these lands, I have not seen anyone yet, I will respect your wishes when it comes to her, I do not know the reasons behind it, but I doubt either of you are unreasonable wolves, there must be a reason behind your decision. I shall not tell her about Robin should I see her." The fae added, sincerity in her tone, she meant it, she really did, if there was this much unrest within the family already she did not want to be the one to add any unnecessary trouble into the pot.

The fae was about to speak more to Princess, to ask more questions, ask what Naniko had done that was so wrong that they had severed all ties with her, but she was interrupted by the sight of her grandson walking towards them. He had grown so much, he was so tall and broad shouldered. He had grown into a fine male it would seem, he had a large stallion trailing with him, along with the little patchwork girl who seemed content to follow him back to the conversation now. She seemed so cheerful, the dark female hoped that her father would be equally cheerful and excited to see his family once again, although she doubted it. Her doubts were soon confirmed as he approached, he was clearly on edge, placing a protective arm around his mate, Soran was suddenly concerned, what did he think that she would do? Surely he knew that she would be of no harm to his family, she was his family after all, she would rather die than hurt someone who shared her blood, or anyone that they loved. And then he spoke, his tone was cold and univiting, the ebony fae gave an involuntary shiver, his gaze was as cold as his tone. Soran dropped her shoulders, making herself as unthreatening as possible in appearance, she did not want him to think that she was a threat. She opened her palms, her long dark fingers spread wide, she held them out in front of herself, palm side up, showing that her hands were empty, there was nothing that she was going to suddenly attack him with.
"I was just wandering by, I happened across your daughter and mate quite by accident. I had no idea that you were living here. It is so good to see you again though Haven. I am not here to interfere, nor to harm, I promise." She said, looking her grandson in the eye, trying to show that she was being honest, her tone was calm, despite her nerves which were making her hands shake visibly.

If Soran found Princess' request at all strange or ridiculous, she did not show it as obviously as some might. The ebony female did not press for more information and Princess smiled vaguely. "Thank you," she said simply. A younger Princess would have pressed for more information if she was in Soran's position, but even the Lady Chance had matured enough to know when to stop. Someone as old as Soran would surely have the wisdom to know when it would begin to cross a line. Princess respected that very much.

Moments passed in which Princess said nothing, unsure of what she was meant to say now that the issue of Naniko had been addressed. The young woman relaxed as she felt Haven's arm slip around her shoulders. Now that he was there, they could sort out everything that was going on with this sudden reappearance of an old family member. Golden gaze flitted between the two wolves, curious to know more about their relationship when Soran had been an active part of his life.

Sorry for the wait guys!

His grandmother seemed surprised by his icy demeanor towards her, and indeed, she was not the only one. Robin looked up at her father with a curiously worried look on her face. She had never seen him act in such a way and while this woman seemed quite nice to her, the way her daddy was reacting to her made her second-guess things. Her father was the Knight and knew good from bad. Maybe this lady was not so good and nice as she seemed? The girl stopped her fidgeting and bouncing and huddled close to the ochre male's legs, blue eyes bouncing between the black wolf and her mom and dad.

The way Soran prostrated herself and showed how she had nothing in her hands did nothing to ease the Aatte's suspicions. He did not fear her, or think her likely to attack him or his family. That was not the point. Neither Conri nor Naniko had ever laid a hand on him, but that hadn't stopped them from betraying him and cutting him deeper than any blade could. Ever so slightly, his eyes narrowed at her. "My blood forbears have done almost nothing but harm to me. I barely even know you, so why should I just trust that you're not like them? Not like him? At this, his face contorted into a look of hardly-contained disgust. He knew now what his sire had been, and why he had been absence from his life. The veil of innocence had been drawn away long ago, and now only the ugly truth remained.

Haven speaks. Child speaks. Another child speaks.

Yay shiny new table Big Grin And ohhh Haven is still mad.

The sable lady looked from Haven to the little patchwork girl by his feet, throwing her what she hoped was a comforting smile, she knew that in a child's eyes, well a child with a normal upbringing, that a parent knew best, she herself had never felt that way towards her own father, but her adoptive mother Becca had been the one who had known right from wrong and the young female had followed her lead. The female assumed that this little female would be following her ochre father's lead on how to feel about her, after all she was a stranger to the girl; indeed she was a stranger to Haven as well, the little female seemed concerned that her father did not seem to like his grandmother, this worried the female, Haven could feel anyway about her he chose, but she did not want it to affect the little girl. So with that smile she tried her best to comfort the little girl to show her that she meant no harm and that she was not here to upset her father, even though she seemed to have done so. The female smiled as Princess thanked her, dipping her head politely, before looking back at her grandson, she could not help but stare at him, over the time that she had been gone he had changed so much, grown so much; so much had changed all around the lands when she had left, how she regretted missing all of this now. She wished that she had been here for her grandchildren, especially as it seemed something awful had happened in her absence, something had happened between her grandchildren and their mother, although she did not know what it was she was sharp enough to piece the clues together to arrive at that conclusion; she could not fathom what the alabaster mother could have done to have made Haven so edgy just at the sight of his grandmother, she had obviously done something bad enough that it had broken his ties to the whole family, making his mistrustful of all of his family. The sable lady shook her head sadly as she thought of it, if only she had been here, perhaps she would have been able to do something, help her grandchildren and her pale daughter, perhaps she would not be standing here feeling so hated, so evil as she stood before the male who shared her blood. If only there was a way to turn back the clock, to show him when he was younger that she was a good grandmother who had never felt anything but love for him.

The male spoke and Soran's heart sank, her velvet ears drooping slightly as she looked at the male. She crossed her arms across herself, rubbing at the jet fur of her upper arm nervously, not looking up at him, not able to meet his eyes, she looked like a naughty school child before the headmaster at this moment, staring down at the floor. So Haven knew, he knew what his father had become, the sable female blamed herself, she could not bear the idea that it had been her own attack that had sparked Conri's change, this of course was not true, she had not made him into a murderer or a rapist, if it was to do with blood then it was far more his father's influence, but then again she had proven that her father's genes had no hold over her, and if Haven's demenour was anything to go by then he had shaken the genes of his father and grandfather, how could she explain that to him though? How could she tell him that although she still loved her first born more than anything else in life, with the exception of her other children, she could never forgive him? That what he had done had been so disgusting to her that she had barely been able to look at him, that that had sparked her leaving, being unable to look at him, especially as he had asked her to kill him in a moment of remorse, that had been her final trigger for leaving. But despite all of that she still loved him, a mother's love was awkward that way, it was unconditional and although she did not like him, nor could she ever forgive him for betraying his mate, his pack, his pups and herself, she still loved him, would always love him. She gave a soft sigh as she looked into the cold gaze of her grandson, gazing into the green eyes that were so like her own, she licked her lips slowly, still trying to formulate an answer. She could not believe though that he had found out about all of this, had Naniko told him? What a terrible burden to place upon your child's shoulders, Soran had kept such things from her pups as much as she could, she didn't want to burden them with such things, to make them hurt just as she did.
I know you barely know me Haven, but you barely knew these members of your pack when you first met them? Did you suspect them all of being like your father? I am not him, just as you are not, Haven, just as I am not my father and you have managed to not be yours, or your grandfather. What Conri did disgusts me too, I cannot ever forgive him for such an act of betrayal. But you must believe me when I say that I would never do anything to hurt any of you, I would die before I knowingly caused you harm. All I want is a chance to get to know you, to be someone in your life you can trust. Clearly terrible things have happened whilst I have been away and I am sorry, deeply truly sorry for not being here to help you through this. Please Haven, all I want to do is talk to you. I am not expecting us to be the closest family that was ever known after a few moments, I am not expecting you to leap into my arms and start calling me grandmother, but I would like an opportunity to prove to you that I am not Conri, nor am I Naniko. I am no-one but myself and you may not know it yet, but I want to show you that I am a good wolf. Show all of you, your mate and little Robin here as well, with your permission of course. The sable female replied, her tone starting strong and proud, but finishing somewhere close to pleading, she just wanted to show him that she could be someone reliable in his life after all others had let him down.
