all welcome, on serendipity shores! initiation task

The large, ruffled dog sat on the edge of the cool water that lapped gently at the bright sands. He had found that the place he had been instructed to meditate in - Serendipity Shores - was most beautiful and filled with life, even if one wouldn't know it at first glance. Life thrummed in low waves and tide pools, around him in the trees and small plants that wove and sung with the wind in the sands, and even above him as albatrosses and gulls cried in the air.

The energy of the ocean also sang to him, Ansui noticed as he sat with his eyes closed and his legs in a cross-legged manner, meditating and allowing the energy of the place to flow over him and calm his mind. It whispered to him as it gently moved over the shore again and again, a never ending cycle that had started long before Ansui and any of the other forms of life he had encountered had graced the earth.

He allowed his mind to first reach outside of him, into the waves and the trees and the sand and the energy within the air - allowed his mind to touch each of them in turn, taking in their sounds and scents and the feelings they gave off. The sand was warm, and the sound it made as the wind swept across it was gentle, smooth, akin to the sea that it neighbored. The plants danced also with the sand, waving their stems in tune with the blowing of the breeze.

All of these senses came to the great dog that sat, not apart from, but with the beach, with it in his mind and body and soul. His mind was blank, not observing the creatures and the energy that they emitted, not making notes about the sea and the sand and the wind, but being one with it, allowing himself to merge with it so that it was indistinguishable to him whether it was him that blew across the beach and made the reeds sway, or whether it was just the breeze...

Word Count » 000 :: OOC: hope you don't mind my girl joining in :3.

Eclipse was finally able to do some more exploring, and she had to check the beach out. The ones at Dahlia were really nice, and when she found what she was looking for today, she was not disappointed. She was sure the beach here was far better than her birthplace. She raced along the sands as she had when she was nothing but a pup, in her wolf form of course, it did not feel natural to wildly run as a luperci. She raced along the sands, pulling them up easily off the ground as she galloped across it. This was exhilerating to her, and quite fun, but that fun was slightly forgotten when she got the first lap of water on her padded toes. She squeeled in surprise, forgetting there was a tide here too just the same as Dalia and felt the cold water lap at her feet inviting her into the water. Eclipse was not a good swimmer, though she knew how, she tended to stay away from the water unless she needed it or she wanted a little fun, and even then she never really went into it on her own.

She leaped back, barking at the water as she once had, remembering she had an argument with the water for cheating when she was a pup. She grinned at herself, she would feel pretty stupid now to do such a thing, She did feel a presence near her so even she would have an audience if she started arguing witht he shore. She was curious as totwhat the man was doing, but she could tell he was at peace so she would leave him to his business for now.

sorry for the delay! <3 and i know eclipse isnt a puppy, but to ansui she is xD short :<

Ansui continued to sit in the supple sands, his long fur rippling as the grass did in the wind. He suddenly felt another presence - he was so immersed in his mind that it seemed that he simply knew another was there, although in reality, it was his nose and his ears that told him such, especially when a high-pitched and puppyish bark sounded from the shore. Ansui smiled unwittingly - he loved the young; they were full of energy and life and everything that was good with the world, innocence being one of them.

He willed himself to stay put, to become one once more and meditate - it was no hard to do, as that was what the man had trained himself to do. He did not forget the puppy, but included her in his meditation, remembering what it was like to be as young as she and as carefree and playful, yipping and running across the sandy beaches as he once did.

*pushes jace towards being social and not a grumpy arse* hope you dont mind me jumping in too Big Grin 3+

It was strange for her to be here, by the shore. The water was a constant buzzing of noise that it was almost a whiteout to her ears, heard and at the same time not. She took no calmness in the waves that lapped against the beach, no sense of peace filled her as she watched the blue vastness rise and fall, froth tipping the crests. Instead she shuddered and cringed away from it, the scent fear pouring from her lithe form. But as strange as it was for her to be here she did not feel any increasing need to leave, there was something still about this ever changing landscape, as though time had forgotten in and did not hold it within its grasp.

She could see in a far off distance the shapes of two, silhouetted against the wet sand, one in motion and the other motionless. Details were scared from the distance that she was so she could not tell who it was her eyes looked upon, and the wind was working against her favor and blowing her scent towards the two unknowns and concealing theirs from herself. Ashen paws sunk into the sand as she moved from the grassy tussocks onto the grainy fragments of rock and pebble, it was fine and soft beneath her toes, a pleasant alternative to the long strands of grass.

Feeling no wanting or need to hurry she made her way almost lazily towards them, lingering over any interesting things she fund, suck as a rock with the fossil of a small fish contained within it that she picked up and placed in her satchel, Temo would be fascinated by it she was sure. A few especially bright and polished stones for herself, if she could find or made new tools for it she could begin again the craft her pack had been famous for, their beadwork and necklaces. When the she dog finally got within acceptable acknowledgement distance to the two, she halted in her steps, unsure as to whether or not she should interrupt their morning.

Word Count » 000 ::OOC: Eclipser is silly!!!.

The man was ignoring her, this was not going to go down for her. She would evidently det hjis attention, though she had no idea what he was doing. She moved closer and cuped her paws over her mouth and called out to him as though he were so far away he’d barely be able to hear it, though he was mearly a few feet from her now.

“Hallooo!”

She called out, hoping to see a good reaction from this, though positive wasn’t what she had been aiming for, just a reaction was all she cared about, that was when she spotted another in the distance. She was becoming so used to living in Ichika that she was once again becoming herself, a rambunxious and out going young girl. Her old self was coming back, and she was living a happier and much more fufilling life, feeling thankful Saul convinced her to come back. She put both arms up and waved at the woman, another unknown to the girl and beckoneed her closer. Eclipse did not know everyone in the pack and she wanted to get on name terms at least.

The man was suddenly jolted out of his meditation when a loud noise startled him slightly; he had been trained to not let things surprise him easily, but the noise was quite loud, quite high-pitched, and very close to his ear. Opening his eyes and turning to the sound slowly, he found that he was right in his predictions that the one who had interrupted him was, in fact, a puppy.

Her body had soft, plush, light orange fur, lined with a dark orange stripe running from her tail to along her back to the top of her head. Her eyes were a rather bright blue, contrasting from Ansui's own deep brown eyes. He gave her a warm smile, his tail slowly swiping across the sand so that two mounds of the grainy substance were on either side of his slowly wagging tail. Looking beyond the puppy, he saw and smelled another - this time, it appeared to be a white wolf with a black muzzle and brown accents. She seemed to be hanging back from Ansui and the puppy, and he gave her a smile as well.

"Hello to you both," the mountain dog rumbled, his deep voice slow and deliberate. "Do either of you care to join me in meditation?"

sorry for the wait ;_;

As she got closer to the pair she could start to see their details, the female was young, still a pup while the other, male was larger and differently patterned and built, obvious dog in his heritage as his ears flopped forwards like hers did but to a greater extent. She took the little female's waving at her with both arms as a suitable invitation and moved even closer as the large male swung his head around and smiled at her as well. According to mother, her father had been a large man as well, standing at near 7 foot tall in his optime, which called into question her own smallness as her mother was tall as well. Jace had never met him however and almost certeinly would never, not unless he was still alive somewhere up in the arctic, knew that he had a daughter and where she had gone and managed to track her down, the odds were stacked against the man who's name she didn't even know.

Ashen feet shuffled in the sand and the gentle wind tugged at her fur, dragging it in all ways. She dipped her head politely back to the dog before her, a small smile coming to her lips, his voice was deep and low, reminding her of

"I could be persuaded to. I'm Jace Wolfe."

Eclipse wagged her tail as she finally got a reaction from the man who had also started wagging his tail. Eclipse waited for the other to join them and smiled brightly, for a moment lookng almos just like her father would. She turned her attention to the large man and tilted her had.

"What's medit...a..... whatever that is"

She asked. Wondering if it was sitting like he was ignoring other wolves. She turned to Jace who introduced herself, though was paying more attention to the male, she could understand that but didn't really like being the lesser of attention, though she wouldn't bring it upon herself right away.

"I'm Eclipse Soulstorm!"

She stated proudly. She was very fond of her heritage, even if her family had abandoned her as well as her pack. She still loved her parents and deed down was convinced they would be coming back any day now. It was only just a matter of tme.
