Private for Anann Smile Set on the 7th if that's ok with you? WC:1130

The morning was cool and crisp, the early morning dew still clinging to the green blades of grass that were growing up from the soft ground beneath them. The sun has risen and soon the little beads of water would be gone, but for now they glittered and sparkled in the early morning light. There was more cloud cover today, the sky had a few fluffy clouds blowing across it at a steady pace, being carried along by the soft breeze that was now blowing across the lands. The leaves fluttered and blew in the breeze, a few early one now turning a little gold around the edges, promising Autumn was near, reminding everyone that it would not be long before the Winter would come, that the lands would once again be covered in snow. But for now the day would still be a summer time one, the promise that another warm day would soon be underway. The sky was blue and all around little birds were singing cheerfully from the branches of the trees, flitting from branch to branch, chirruping to one another, calling in the day as they so often did in these lands.

One wolf that was not worried about the nearing Winter was Robin, she had not really known cold yet, she had been born in January, but during that time she had been too small to remember and then soon Winter had given way to Spring and then Summer, she had been exploring these seasons and had decided that she liked them greatly. She had been told about Winter, about the lands becoming icy, apparently the ground would become all slippery, she wasn't looking forward to that, what if she was to fall down? Then again she was sure that she would like sliding, she had been practicing it on the polished wooden floors of the house, starting at one end of the hallway and racing across, jumping onto her bottom and skidding and sliding all the way down the length of the hallway, laughing loudly. Yes that was great fun, maybe if this ice was as slippery as everyone said, she'd be able to do that outside, oh what fun it would be, she could slide to the rescue of people, racing in even more quickly to be the gallant hero of the day. It would probably improve her speed at getting to rescues, she would like that, she could be just like Daddy, he had his horse and she would have her icy highway to slide along, they would be able to get everywhere rapidly and defend good and uphold justice as a crime fighting duo, just like Robin Hood and Little John. She could not wait for that day, when her daddy thought that she would be big enough to help him out, to help him patrol the borders and protect the pack, she was going to learn to fire a bow, she had already decided, she was going to carve herself one and then make some arrows and then practice and practice until she was just as good as Robin Hood was in her favourite book, although she was certain that she'd be good at it straight away, after all she had learnt to walk in Optime form and that had been really hard, she was going to be able to hit a bulls eye perfectly... whatever a bulls eye was... She was going to be a hero and wolves would write stories about her amazing adventures, the little patchwork girl with her orange chest was sure of it, she would be renound throughout the lands for being an upholder of all that was good and right, and her mummy and daddy would be really proud of her, she was certain.

She was practising being an explorer today, she needed to get all the adventuring in that she could. So she was padding towards the stable, the little patchwork girl was in her four legged form today, she still found it easier to walk in, although she was now very good at walking in her bipedal form of course, yes very good, in fact she was sure that she was going to be the best at walking and doing things in her Optime form, just as soon as she got over that pesky falling over issue. But for today she was finding it much easier to be in her usual form, her paws padding across the grounds quickly as she moved at a quick pace. She wanted to say hello to the horsey she had met the other day, the pale mare with the lovely white mane and the big liquid brown eyes, she was her new friend, even if silly old Noss did say that the young girl was too rough with her last time, but horses were big animals, surely they didn't mind her small hands patting them a tiny bit too roughly? So she was here to see the horse again, she wanted to tell her all about the things she had been doing, about Sarajevo, the funny white and grey male from Crimson Dreams that she had met, the pretty butterfly that she had almost caught for Felicity... she had failed, but she had almost caught it, that was a mission almost accomplished, next step, complete success! Soon she would be completing quests and missions with ease, yes, she would be very, very good at it, she was sure. Soon her little feet had made their way right to the stable door of the mare that she had grown so fond of.
”Hello horsey! How're you? I have a lot to tell you!” She said in her usual excited tones, smiling up at mare who poked her head through the open top of the stable door. The horse greeted her with a cheery whinny and a snort, bending as low down as she could to ruffle the fur on the top of the girl's little sandy brown head. The little lady stuck her chocolate brown tipped ears out sideways and giggled at the mare's actions, lifing her head and licking the mare's nose, this made the cream coloured horse snort again and lift her head back up, she watched the little patchwork girl with her intelligent eyes, listening to her talk it seemed, even if she didn't understand what was being said. The little fae's tail was wagging to much it seemed to just be a blur when one looked at it, she was glad that the mare was her new friend, she talked all about her adventure, embellishing the boring bits of course, but how was the horse to know that she didn't have to fight off an entire hoarde of vicious pirates all by herself?

ahaha sorry but there is no way I'm gonna be able to match that post length xD

It had been several days since Anann had last made a visit to the stables. There was little she could do with the horses while she remained trapped in her secui form and so there was little point in making her still healing body endure the trek from the house in Lunenberg that she had been living in for the past couple weeks; ever since Anatoliy had rescued her from the living hell of that shack that Keese had left her chained in. A portion of that chain still hung around her neck. It was snug and dug deep into the thick fur of her neck. Much like the worst of her suffering, the chain was hidden from the view of those not perceptive enough to notice. Much of the swelling from the abuse hidden in the shaggy fur of her massive form. No, it was the ugly mark across her muzzle and the bandaged legs that drew all the attention. The bare skin of her muzzle was the pink of healthy healing skin and in time the hair would grow back.

Since Anann could not make it to the stables everyday it was her horse that often came to her, for everyone in the pack knew better than to lock the stall door of the freisian stallion that demanded the right to come and go as he pleased. There were a couple days he had even managed to bring Noire with him. It seemed the apple had not fallen far from the tree. It would be some time yet before Anann would be able to do much real training with the colt if she even got the chance, but there was much that Rem was teaching his son. It was not unusual for Rem to have shown his previous offspring an occasional sign of affection or at leaset acknowledgement, but Anann had never seen him take such interest as he did with Noire. It was obvious that Rem thought the young horse had potential.

This morning though, Anann had left out early. Making the trek at n walking pace for much of the way. Though her muscles eventually loosened up and she found she was able to slide into an easy trot without much discomfort or protest from her abused body. Rem had met her half way, of coarse there was no way for the stallion to know that she would choose to head his way instead on this particular day. He plodded along behind her as she continued on to the stables.

The stables were often a quite place. Well there was always a light melody of snorts, knickers and whinnies from the residents. But it often the soft and subtle sounds of familiarity. As Anann entered the barn she heard a chatter that she did not expect and as she came to the aisle of stalls she saw a familiar patchwork of fur just talking away to a pale mare. One of the many unnamed horses as far as Anann could tell. The femme stood quietly, Rem behind her, as she listened to the girls elaborate tale. "Pirates? Oh it sounds terrible." Anann spoke up to get the girls attention. Her voice fainting a serious note.

I've just been reading Anann's history, poor Anann Sad Also I love fresian horses SmileWC: 896 Sorry I am the queen of rambling XD

The mare was surprisingly patient with the young patchwork girl, watching her quietly with her large liquid eyes. Seeming to reply in appropriate places with whinnies and snorts as the little fae weaved her elaborate tales, the mare did not understand of course, but the noises she made were so well timed that it seemed to the little fae as if the large cream creature did indeed understand what she was being told by the multicoloured, excitable girl. The cream mare was even standing patiently, completely unphased by the blue eyed girl's bouncing about as she told the story, leaping and bouncing this way and that to show just how she had fought off these imaginary pirates. She rolled across the floor with a cry, showing how she had narrowly missed the pirate's sword, before leaping into the air to show hoe she had bravely bitten him on the end of the nose, this was of course all fantasy, for a start the little fae could not jump anywhere near high enough to bite an Optime wolf upon the nose, but she was enjoying telling the story, and from the mare's unbroken attention she assumed that the cream female was also enjoying it. She bounced about, escalating her tale more and more with every line, now there were seven whole pirates that she was having to fight off, when the tale had started off with only one, the little girl was happy to elaborate and add reinforcements from wherever they had come from, after all there was no-one who could say that the pirates weren't allowed to get reinforcements or suddenly multiply in number without prior warning, especially when they were fictional characters in the plot of a story that was being woven by a sixth month old pup. Besides she would eventually have these adventures, the little patchwork girl was planning on being the most famous explorer anyone had even known, she would be a brave adventurer, fighting off real pirates and baddies and saving the innocent from any troubles they would face. She would be just like her Daddy and Robin Hood from her favourite book and then these stories wouldn't just be fiction told to horses, they would be fact told to everyone, she would be known throughout the lands. Robin the Brave, that would be her.

Robin's attention was suddenly caught by a voice from behind her, she was in mid-bounce as the voice caught her. She stopped suddenly, hoping that whoever it was wouldn't tell her off for making things up, she didn't see the harm in it, she was always making things up that people enjoyed, it wasn't lying, it was telling stories, she told them for entertainment. She turned and looked up at the female that had been behind her just a moment ago, she smiled as the wave of recognition flowed over her, it wasn't grumpy Noss at least, he might have told her off for bouncing around and being noisy. But no, this was Daddy's friend, they sparred together, the little fae pulled a thoughtful face as she tried to remember her name, oh yes she knew now.
“Hello miss Anann, yes it was terrible, there were quite a lot of pirates, but it's ok, because I fought them all off.” She said with a smile, bouncing slightly again, her head tilting back to look at the enormous stallion that was standing behind the muscular female, he was a large black male, he was quite impressive in size, and very patient, just like the cream mare, standing there and simply watching the exchange between the two wolves quietly."Hello Anann's horsey! She added, before looking back at Anann, she was injured the face noticed, her nose being all pink and scraped, her legs being bandaged, they looked very sore, the little fae let out a little whimper for the sake of her Daddy's friend, she didn't like anyone to get hurt, let alone wolves that her father was friends with, after all they must be good wolves if her daddy liked them, she couldn't imagine what kind of terrible baddie would have done this to poor Anann, she would have to hunt them down and bring them to justice, that was what Robin Hood would do, he would make sure that whoever had done this would get their just desserts, that they would be punished to the letter of the law. Whoever had done this would more than deserve it after all, poor Anann had clearly been through a lot, Robin didn't like the idea that someone would hurt one of her packmates and friends.
"Oh miss Anann, you're hurt! How did this happen? Does it hurt now?" The little fae asked, looking up at the much larger female, her ears drooping slightly as she looked over the injuries, she was so sad that she had been hurt. The little fae padded towards Anann slowly, leaning up and planting a kiss on her injured nose, that was what her mummy had always done to her when she was hurt, she had kissed her scraped knee better and straight away it had felt much more healed already, she hoped that it would have the same effect for the large female.
"Did that help?" She asked, her tail beginning to wag again, albeit much more slowly than it had been.

yes, I've been rather cruel to poor Anann lately :c and no worries, I enjoy your writing, I just hope you dont mind my much shorter posts c:

The multi-colored young girl bounced and bounded all about the stall aisle as she acted out her elaborate tale of heroics. Even rolling across the dusty and chaff littered floor. No detail seemed to go un-embellished as she went on with the tale. It grew larger and larger as she went along, though Anann could not tell at what point it had started. She had not caught the beginning of the tale, but had began to eavesdrop about midway into it. Anann found Robin's antics to be rather amusing, though it hardly showed on her solemn features. Smiles had become a rare thing and the sadness in her eyes never left even during the times when she attempted to force a weak smile.

The action came to a sudden stop once Anann spoke, though. The pup turning to look at her with an almost surprised expression, though that quickly faded as the daughter of her good friend seemed to recognize her. Anann was glad the patchwork pup was able to recognize her despite the deeper tones of her seldom seen secui form and its broad, stocky build. Still the little girl was able to recall her name as she greeted her, bouncing all the while. Anann gave a soft, gentle smile, her tail thumping a time or two between the hocks of her legs. ”Wow! That's quite the feat there, little lady.” Anann’s tone a bit exaggerated as she went along with the girl’s story. ”His name is Rem, Rem this is..Robin.” Anann had to think hard herself a moment for the girl’s name and it was not said with the utmost certainty. Haven’s children had been growing like weeds while Anann had been keeping to herself and so she had not been sure, a rare feeling for the woman that seldom forgot a name and the face it belonged to. Rem stepped forward once he was addressed, his head low and ears perked forward as he sniffed at the patchwork adolescent.

It wasn’t long before the youth noticed Anann’s injuries, sending her into a short burst of rapid fire questions. Anann’s deep amber ears folded back slightly and she thought hard on how to answer’s the girls questions without shedding light on things she was better off yet not to know. Before she could proved an answer though, the little girl padded up and placed a gentle kiss on the pink of her muzzle and asked if it felt better now. ”Yes, it did. Thank you.” A rare smile gracing her lips as her tail gave a few more gentle wags. Though her face turned solemn once more as she answered the girl’s prior questions. ”A bad man did this to me. He tied me up and kept me chained up in an old shack, but don’t worry, he won’t be hurting anyone ever again.”

So sorry for the wait on this, I have been uber busy in real life :S And with plottness for Soran.

The little patchwork girl was glad to see Anann, even if she was injured, it seemed an age since the little female had last seen the larger warrior, but then again as she grew she had been spending more and more time away from her father, she still saw him at their home, but she was growing far more content with her own company, wandering off around the lands to have adventures on her own, she was no longer the permanent mulitcoloured shadow behind her ochre father. He was of course still her role model, she still idolised him and wanted to be just like him when she was older, she too was going to be a brave protector of the packlands, they were going to work as a team and fight off evil doers and fight crime, they would uphold justice and stand for all that was good and right. It would happen of course, the little female had already planned it, so she was certain that it was going to happen, she had already decided that it would. Robin watched Anann as she she spoke, a small smile gracing the larger female's lips for a moment, the little female was not aware of what an honour it was to recieve a smile from the terribly sad fae. She said that it had been quite a feat and the little female nodded quickly.
"It was quite a battle... though there might not have been as many as I had said before." Robin replied, looking down a little, slightly shame faced as she admitted that a lot of her tale had been fictional. She hoped that Anann would not mind that the little female was telling stories, the little female didn't feel that it was lying, she was simply creating tales for entertainment, both for herself and for the cream coloured mare that had yet to have been given a name. The large female then spoke again, introducing the little female to the large black stallion, the little female looked up at him again, giggling as his breath tickled her as he bent down to sniff her. She sniffed at him too, trying to snuffle at his nose so he too would be tickled by her breath.

The little female smiled as Anann said that her little kiss had made her injury feel much better. The little patchwork girl knew that it would have, it always made her feel better, she had been certain that it would have worked on the larger female as well, having someone kiss an injury better always helped, no matter how big you got, she was sure about that as well. The little female was sure about a lot of things as it happened, she was sure that wolves were mostly good, she was also sure that those who were bad would always be punished as would be fitting to their crime. She also knew that her Daddy, Mommy and all of the pack were good wolves, so she knew that whoever had hurt Anann could not have been of the pack, he would not have been allowed in if he was a baddie, all of the wolves here were good wolves, they were her family, that was what her Daddy had told her. She looked up at Anann as she explained how she had gained the injuries, her ears drooping and her tail ceasing to wag, how horrid it must have been to have been chained up and hidden away from the world. The large female had been a real life damsel in distress, locked away out of sight and Robin had not known! she should have been there to save her, that was going to be her job when she had grown up a bit, she should have been there to defeat the baddie and rescue her. The little female was of course unaware that the world was not like her childish games or her story books, real evil could in fact win out, sometimes the bad wolves were too strong to defeat, it was a good job that the pacthwork girl was not there when Anann had been imprisoned, for she too could have met a terrible fate, but of course in her childish mind where she always played the hero of her own tales, she could have defeated the male easily. She would have protected Anann, she could have taken Daddy and Linden and the three of them could have worked together to rescue the fair maiden, she would not have taken Felicity though, her sister didn't seem to like adventuring, Robin could not imagine her to be much help either. She looked up at the larger female, she was pleased that she had been rescued and that she was safe now, even if she had been hurt. She managed a smile when the female said that the male would not be hurting anyone ever again, pleased that justice had indeed been served, though not knowing that that meant that he was dead.
"I am pleased that you have been rescued Anann, did someone defeat him and rescue you? Why did he do that to you? Why would the nasty man want to hurt you Anann, you wouldn't hurt anyone!" Robin said, looking up at the female with large blue eyes, she was genuinely confused that someone would have chosen to hurt Anann, the large female who had always been so nice to the small girl.

very light pp in Rem's actions. I assumed it'd be fine but let me know if you'd rather I change it <3

If there was any harm in the young girl telling stories of make-believe to the pale mare Anann did not see it. Stories and tall tales were not lying and what else was someone so young suppose to do with all that energy and imagination. The tale she had been telling was certainly quite far fetched and exaggerated to its limits, but a game was all it was and Anann allowed herself to play along and did not chastise Robin for her tall tale. It still sounds quite exciting", she offered gently in the quiet tone she now carried. Though she was not the greatest with children, it was when they were significantly younger that Anann found herself most uncomfortable in their presence. The warrior did not have much for mothering skills, or so it seemed thus far in life.

It was Rem that had a love for pups of any age. The massive horse was gentle and cautious of even the youngest of whelps. Anann and her siblings had grown up under the watchful care of the large beast. Playing and wrestling around the legs and large hooves without a care in the world. None of them had ever once been stepped on by the horse, though he had quickly taught them when and how to stay out of the way by sending them tumbling with a careful nudge from one of the dinner plate hooves. But then Rem was not the average horse, not in the least. After a good sniff of the patchwork pup the stallion ruffled the fur of her head with a gentle rub of his velvety upper lip and a lick that left the hair on her head standing straight up. Amusement at their little Exchange showed on Anann's face, though it was overcast by the cloud of depression that hung over her.

A bombardment of questions flowed from the youth. Ah the naivete of being so young and not realizing how unjust the world could be and the possible evils that lurked in the not so dark and distant shadows. Anann did not know how to explain things in a manner that would satisfy the girls curiousity with out tarnishing her innocence. An so she tried to imitate the young girls story telling to make something more akin to a fairy tale, though there was no happy ending for Anann. "Oh yes! Anatoliy rescued me while the bad man, Keese, was away. He broke the chain he had tied me up with." A portion of it still hung from around her neck as she spoke of it. "And he has been defeated, vanquished from the land of the living." She tried to keep it as light as possible and left out Vigilante's hand in the matter for he had been the one to spill Keese's life blood. She knew his reasons full and well. She knew what he was after, what he had wanted from her, but that was not something the child needed to know. "Sometimes Robin, bad wolves don't need a reason. They do it because it makes them feel powerful to hurt others." She was gravely serious as she spoke, a lesson of warning she hoped for the young and out going girl. It was best to be cautious.

Sorry for the wait on this, I have been busy in real life and some of my thread replies have slipped a little, I am sorry! And the power play is fine, I thought it was cute Smile

The little multicoloured girl was pleased that Anann did not seem cross that she had been making things up, usually most were not bothered by it, but she knew that sometimes it was not the right thing to do, making things up could lead to trouble if one was not careful. Her siblings enjoyed her stories though, she was often making up new ones to tell them, stories of mysterious dragons hiding in the woods just out of sight and of pirates and outlaws bounding through the lands, the former pillaging and the latter defending the realm and robbing from the rich to give to the poor; though if the truth were told the little female did not really understand the concept of being poor, she had always had a place to sleep and enough food to fill her little stomach, the former human laws of what constituted being poor no longer applied and as far as Robin could see some wolves had a lot more than they needed, but she had yet to see anyone who didn't have enough, though she was resolved to help anyone that she did find that was poor and hungry, just like Robin Hood. The large female replied, saying that her story sounded very exciting and the little female nodded, her tail wagging fiercly again.
"Yes, it was very exciting, though there was no real danger of course, I managed to see them off before they were any trouble to the pack." The little patchwork girl replied with a grin, embellishing the story again to show that she would be a good protector of the pack when she was old enough, after all she had to start doing the work now if she wanted to be known as the bravest and most amazing explorer and adventurer that had ever lived. She needed the others to know that when she was bigger she would be just like her Daddy, she would help defend the pack from any invading pirates or monsters, she was already good at getting rid of monsters, often chasing away the one that lived under the stairs that had scared Felicity so much when they had been younger, her brown pelted sister had always been more of a girly girl and a princess than Robin herself, so it had often fallen to herself and Linden to protect their sister, but obviously Robin was the leader and so she had been the one to go under the stairs first and chase away the monster that lived there, with help from her red pelted brother of course; all good heroes needed their group of helpers, their merry men.

The gigantic horse loomed large over Robin, even as she was talking to Anann she could not help but lift her head and steal glances at him with her large blue eyes. As he sniffed her and licked her head, ruffling her fur as the unnamed pale mare was prone to do, the young girl giggled loudly, grinning up at the large male horse. She lifted her head and licked his nose, unaware that the soft fur on the top of her head was sticking up at a rather eccentric angle. She turned back to the large female, smiling at her as well, she was glad to see a look of amusement on the female's face, even if it passed quickly, she did not like knowing that any of her pack mates, her family, were sad. The little female was determined to cheer the large female up at any cost. Anann then began her explanation of what had happened, the little female sat down instantly, hearing from her tone that an important story was being told, she sat down neatly, her tail curling itself around her front paws, she sat quietly, her large eyes staring up into Anann's face, her bi-coloured ears turning to face Anann, the lady had her full attention. She nodded as the female told her that Anatoily had rescued her, breaking the chain which was hanging around her neck, she noticed the rest of it, still hanging around her neck and frowned a little, it must be horrible for the larger female to have something that reminded her of a terrible time with her constantly. Her tail began to wag as the female said that the male had been vaquished; the land of the living part, the part that suggested that he was dead passed the female by, she was simply happy to know that the male who had hurt her father's friend so badly was gone from the lands and had been punished in the manner fitting to his crime, justice had been done. Robin believed in justice above most things, she believed in it just as she believed in valour and truth and protecting those who were weak and helpless, she was glad to see that some other wolves must have believed in justice too, rescuing the larger female and punishing those who had been to blame for her being locked up, that was the way things were supposed to happen. Though the little female could not really understand why someone would need to protect Anann, she had always seemed to strong, so undefeatable to the little female, why would someone be as silly as to have attacked her? Why had she not fought back? The little female did not know who this Keese was, but she imagined him as some enormous, hulking beast with rippling muscles, some cruel faced male. She was glad that he was gone, her image of him was horrid.

Then the female said that sometimes wolves did not need a reason to hurt others, that they simply did it to feel powerful, Robin nodded slowly, the patchwork girl had read enough stories to know that most of the bad things that were done were to gain power, so simply to feel powerful might have been enough for some of the baddies, though in her mind that was silly, she could almost understand why the Sheriff of Nottingham had been such a baddie, he had wanted more power, to rule over the land of Nottingham, though she supposed that in the end all that he had felt was more powerful, perhaps this was the same? She looked up at the large female.
"I understand that, he was a little like the Prince or the Sheriff in my Robin Hood stories, wanting more power, no matter what he had to do to get it." The little fae replied, before the curiosity began to build once more.
"How long were you locked away Anann? I suppose it must have been terrible, I would have hated to have been stuck in a room with nowhere to go. How long have you had Rem then? He is a nice horsey." The little female asked, suddenly zig zagging and swerving wildly between topics, realising that talking about the female's ordeal might make her sad, so trying to change the subject quickly.

Anann was quite literate and there were many subjects of human culture on which she knew a great deal. Their stories of fiction were not something she often indulged in, though she found their tomes of religion to be intriguing. Reading was an academic pursuit, and it was only for study and not for pleasure that Anann had been taught to read. She knew a few fables. Short, simple stories of morals. But the grandeur tales were something she had never known, including little Robin's Mr.Hood and his band of merry men. Even though she did not know of the evil prince and the vile sheriff of Nottingham it seemed that Robin was grasping the basic concept of Anann's own tale. She saw no point in telling the girl she did not know the particular story to which she had referred and gave a nod. "That's right. You've got the idea." That was why Anann had isolated herself, cutting ties of friendship and love so those that she cares about could not be used against her. She was thankful it had only been her that had to suffer at Keese's hands. Anann would never had been able to forgive herself had Keese tried to use her love for Anatoliy or any of the pack against her. She had know what he was capable of doing, yet she still didn't think he would have gone so far. Anann had done her best to give Keese no reason to make a target of anyone but herself.

Of coarse that did not stop the questions. Robin countering with another wave of questions. Anann was not sure how long she had been locked in the old shed on the outskirts of Halifax suburbs. She had not bothered to count the days and they had seemed longer and more numerous than they had truly been. "Several days, a few weeks maybe. I do not really know for sure. It seemed like a very long time though." But Robin's next question brought a change to the topic. A welcomed change. "Rem has always been with me, since before I can remember. He is older than I. He was my mother's horse before I was born." A horse's life span exceeds that of a Luperci and it was possible that Rem could live to watch over even the next generation of Harleigh. "Have you learned to ride yet?" Anann assumed the girl had learned to shift as she seemed to be of age, yet Anann was not completely sure. Since the patchwork pup was spending her time in the stables Anann also assumed she had an interest in learning to ride the creatures as well.

Poor Anann, I feel rather sorry for her Sad WC: 1125 Apologies if it's a little rambly XD

The little female watched the older female with large blue eyes, listening as the female replied to her, watching her intently, the patchwork girl was rather confident in her own abilities, her intelligence amongst other things, she was sure that she had gotten the gist of what Anann was saying, that she had deciphered the meaning, she wanted to make sure. When the female said that she had had the right idea she smiled a little and wagged her tail, but stopped suddenly, realising that although she should be proud of herself, that she had worked something out so well, that what she had been working out had been terrible for Anann and she could not take any joy in that. She was indeed sad that her large friend had been injured and hurt, locked away for so long. It really was like the stories of Robin Hood, when the evil sheriff had kidnapped Maid Marian and tried to keep her locked away until she agreed to be his wife, he had never hurt her, but he had kept her captive, she had never liked that part, she had been kidnapped because of her beauty, because of her status and for some reason because she was a girl that had written that she had not been able to defend herself and Robin had had to come and rescue her. This was silly to the little female, she wanted to be brave and tough and fight her own battles, not swoon in a girlish fashion at the first signs of trouble, this was why she had made her role model the hero of the story and not his damsel in distress, no that was far more Felicity's role in life, the brown female was very girly and would no doubt make a wonderful princess locked in a tower someday, just awaiting rescue. But that was not the patchwork female at all, and she had always assumed that it would not have been Anann either, the male that attacked her and captured her must have been huge and very cruel to have managed to overpower the large female. Of course the small girl had no concept of manipulation, no idea that someone could make another believe that they would hurt others if they did not bend to their wishes, although she had indeed read about situations like that they did not yet make sense in her young mind, to her there was always a way out of it, especially when the sheriff had threatened to hurt Robin Hood if the lady did not marry him, after all he could never have caught the brave hero in his lincolnshire green tights to hurt him.

Robin watched the female as she spoke again, explaining that she had been in the shack for a long time, her bi-coloured ears drooped with sadness for the larger female once more and she padded towards her, giving her a gentle nudge with her head against the female's leg, her version of a hug in this form. She could not imagine what it would be like to be trapped for so long, to be without her family, her friends, her pack, it must have been a nightmare for the larger female, the little girl could not even imagine it herself, it was too terrible.
“I am sorry that such a horrible thing happened to you Miss Anann, I wish I could have been there to help, Daddy, Linden and I are a great team, I wish we had been there to save you.” The little female said, looking up at the female with large sad eyes to match the grown wolf's own, she was so sorry that she had not been there, it was true that there was nothing that she could have done against the brutish creature in her mind, but perhaps her presence would have been of some comfort to her large friend. She gave her another gentle head bump, brushing her head against the highest part of the female's leg that she could reach, trying to bring the female some comfort.

The subject was soon changed back to Rem, the large stallion though, the small female smiled, she would much prefer to talk of happier things, to take Anann's mind off of the terrible ordeal that she had been through. The small girl padded away from her large friend to stare up at the horse again, her eyes widening as the female explained that he was older than she was, Robin did not know how old Anann was, but she assumed that all grown ups were really old, for in her head, they were, their ages being so far away from her own. That made the horse an old man indeed, the patchwork girl had no idea how long horses lived, he certainly didn't look old, there were no obvious grey marks around his muzzle which seemed to happen to older animals and he didn't look weak or sickly, which she had read could be a trait of age, the loss of muscle tone making wolves seem smaller than they once were, perhaps it was not the same with horses?
"How long do horses live Miss Anann? Will he live for much longer?" The small female asked, staring up at the dark stallion with large curious eyes. The female then asked her if she had begun to learn to ride, the smaller girl shook her multicoloured head, this was something she was anxious to do, she had been nagging her father to take her riding ever since she had been old enough to talk. And now that she had begun to shift she was probably unbearable to her ochre father, turning every conversation to the subject, she wanted to learn to ride so badly, Noss had offered to teach her and the pale mare seemed to like her, she was hoping to take her as her very own soon. And then she would be able to ride her whenever she liked, she knew that she needed practice and supervision, but she was sure that she would be good at it straight away, she was very confident in her abilities after all, she was going to be a heroine, she had to be.
"I have not started learning yet, Daddy wouldn't let me until I learnt to shift, and I am a still a little wobbly in my other form, so he wants me to be a little more confident before he lets me onto a horse. But when I do learn to ride I want her to be my horsey." Robin replied, nodding at the pale mare who gave a small whinny, seeming to realise that she was being spoken about.

A soft smile spread across Anann’s face at the girl’s affectionate head bump. The amber wolf bowed her broad head to gently nudge Robin back in the same affectionate manor. ”It’s over now, that is all that matters. No matter how much we wish it that past cannot be changed.” Another soft smile rested briefly upon her lips. ”I know you would have helped had you been there.” Though Anann was glad she had not been there to witness the conditions she had been kept in. As another head bump came her way Anann reciprocated in kind, place a light lick behind the girl’s ear. The small gestures of affection and compassion from the youth were heart warming and brought some light to the world that had begun to seem overwhelmingly dark and dreary. The pregnancy she dared not speak of was only in the beginning stages, yet it already a heavy burden on her. A heavy weight on her heart and peace of mind. The future would forever been unknown, but now she felt her path crumbling away from underneath her paws.

Anann was thankful to leave such thoughts behind though as the conversation turned to focus on Rem and the other residences of the stables. It was true that by luperci standards, Rem was getting up there in age, though of his exact age Anann could not be sure. The date of the stallions birth was perhaps cataloged away somewhere in the Tosawi records. Anann suspected Rem was around ten years of age, give or take a couple years. By any standard Rem was past his youth, but still within his prime. ”Horses can live for many more years than we do. The are capable of living two, maybe even 3 of our lifetimes. So he is not as old as he would be if he were one of us. He will likely live for many more years yet. There is no way to know for sure but I have read that horse may live for as many as twenty or even thirty years.” That was longer than any luperci was likely to live and so without proper records it would be hard to track the horses’ ages.

It seemed likely that Haven would be having some difficulty keep his outgoing daughter from the backs of the horses until she was ready. Thought the knight was right in making his daughter wait. ”That is very wise. You will need your balance for riding, much like you do with ride. It’s a little different of coarse, but I am sure you will get the hang of it no time.” Anann looked up at the pale mare as Robin voiced her desire for the horse to be hers when she was ready. ”I see. She does seem to like you quite a lot. Have you thought of a name for her?” Anann knew that Alder did not believe in name the horses that he did not claim as his own, so those that did not have a rider yet remained nameless.

Sorry for the wait on this, it's been a hectic few weeks and Robin kind of slipped a little whith getting my tertiary charrie up and running, back focused on her now though Smile WC: 1070

The little patchwork girl was pleased that Anann nudged her back in the same affectionate manner, it suggested that she was not too sad after all, the little female could not help but want her to be happy, she wanted everyone in the pack to be happy, she didn't like the idea of any of them being miserable or feeling alone. She hoped that her head bumps were giving the larger wolf some comfort, they always helped Robin when she was sad, her brother would always cheer her up with a head bump, not that the young Aatte girl was ever that upset, it was a rare thing to see the small wolf in any state other than cheerful and bouncy. Small brown ears turned to listen to the female's words, looking up at the larger female with large blue eyes. She nodded as the female said that it was all over now and that was all that mattered, this the small female understood, there seemed to be many things that happened to the other pack wolves that they wanted to forget, to keep in the past, even her father had things like that, when her sable great grandmother had turned up near the borders her father had been cagey with her, he had seemed to want to keep her in the past, something had happened in her father's family it seemed, she did not know what it was, only that he did not want to be like her grandfather. The little female did not blame Anann for wanting to blot the time she had spent imprisoned from her mind, the small girl could not imagine what it must have been like, it must have been awful for the larger female. Her tail wagged a little as the female said that she was sure that she could have helped her had she been there, it made Robin glad to think that someone else saw her as a potential hero, she was certain that she would be a great one one day, when she was big enough, at the moment she was perhaps a little too small to try and be a hero in a story, well at least in a real story, after all imaginary pirates and dragons could always be vanquished, so they were no real danger to the little patchwork girl.
"I wish that I could have helped you Miss Anann, I do not like to think of you locked up, if you want I can come and stay with you if you're lonelyor scared of being on your own? I do that when Fee is scared, there's a monster under the stairs you see, I sleep reaaally close to Fee so that it wont get her and then I chase it away if it seems to be getting too close. If you'd like I can do the same for you? If you are scared I promise I wont tell anyone." The small female offered, looking up at the female with wide eyes, smiling as the female smiled, glad of the head bump and the lick she recieved, she was certain that she was feeling a little better.

It was true that she slept close to Felicity, her younger sister was indeed a princess, being exceptionally girly and scared of the moster under the stairs. Robin was her protector, it was her job to scare away the monster under the stairs, a job which she took seriously, someone had to look after her little sister after all, Linden helped Robin of course, he was an excellent side kick, though recently he had been trying to become the hero of the stories; the patchwork girl was not liking that at all, it had often resulted in squabbles, which were usually quickly resolved as the girl was a far louder and more effective nagger than her brother. The little female looked up at Rem as Anann spoke, her eyes wide as she looked at him, she had had no idea that horses could live so long, he was ten years old?! That must have been the Luperci equivalent of eleven hundred and seventy, she had no idea that horses could live that long. They could get to be two or three times the age of a wolf, that was really rather impressive in the small girl's eyes.
"Wow, I had no idea that horses could live that long. Do all horses live that long? Or is it just some types of horses? Are there different types of horses? Because my horsey doesn't look like Rem." The patchwork girl asked, many questions escaping her mouth at once, when something had piqued her curiousity she needed to know everything about it as quickly as possible, she could not help it, it was simply in her inquisitive nature. Anann explained that balance was important for riding and the small girl nodded, she supposed that it must require some balance, she was not quite used to balancing when she was walking in her Optime form, perhaps it was for the best that her Daddy had told her to wait before she attempted riding. She smiled at the larger wolf again.
"I suppose that is true, I am not very good at walking yet, Daddy had to rescue me when I first shifted, I fell over and couldn't get back up again, nothing seemed to want to work and my feet are too bog for my legs when I am in the other form. Were you like that when you were young, Daddy said that he suspected that everyone was like that, so were you?" The patchwork girl asked, her tail wagging again as the conversation then turned to the pale mare that she had gotten so fond of, she nodded as Anann said that she seemed quite fond of her.
"I think that she likes me, she always sticks her head over the door to say hello to me whenever I come past, I am not sure of a name yet, I was thinking of something from my Robin Hood book. Perhaps Scarlett, he was Robin Hood's good friend, I thought about calling her Marian, but she always got captured and I don't think that she would end up being captured, what do you think?" The young female asked the larger fae, she liked the older wolf and would like to know her opinion.

Another small smile graced Anann’s lips for a brief moment. Robin’s offer to stay with her and keep her company as well as protecting her monsters was sweet. ”That’s very kind of you to offer Robin, but I think I will be okay. Anatoliy is staying with me.” Though it was more that she was staying with him in the current situation, but that hardly mattered. They were together. Even if things were not like they used to be. There was so much tension and awkwardness in the air around them now. ”Besides, if you are with me, then who would sleep next to Fee and keep her safe?” Anann tried to give the girl another smile, though it came a little forced. Robin had done well to keep her mind off things for as long as she had. The young girl had certainly brought some happiness into Anann’s day in the least.

It was inevitable that her mind eventually would fall back to that which weighed the heaviest on it. Anann could not think of the Russo without being reminded of what grew within her.. and the fact that they were not his. It left to wonder what future their might be for them. If there was a future.

Anann had to try to follow everything that Robin was saying, but her mind had become side tracked now. She wasn’t wanting to be rude to the young girl. It was hardly her fault that Anann’s moods had been rather unstable lately. ”Oh yes, there are many different kinds of horses.” Anann said, her tone a little distracted and the answer coming a little later than it really should have. “They come in many different sizes as well as colors.” It was becoming hard for Anann to keep up with all the questions and she gave a light chuckle in her amusement of the situation. ”Yes, I had a few falls too when I was learning to walk.”

”Scarlett.” Anann repeated, wanting to feel the name on her tongue. ”It is a very good name and I think you are right, I’m sure she won’t get captured all the time like Marian.” Anann had sat down during some point in the flood of questions. Anann hadn’t minded the young girls curiosity and she had enjoyed the distraction while it had lasted. Now she was feeling a little drained and the walk back to Lunenberg would not be a short one. ”I’m sorry Robin, I’m just starting to get a little tired. So I think I’m going to head back home. I really enjoyed getting the chance to talk with you today, maybe we can do it again soon.” Anann looked up at Rem and then to his open stall on down the row. The large stallion moved around the two wolves as he headed on his own to the stall. ”Tell your father I said Hi, wont you?”

Sorry for the wait on this, I have no laptop Sad! WC: 766

The little female watched the older female as she spoke again, she refused her offer politely. The little female nodded, someone named Anatoily was staying with Anann it seemed, Robin had never met this strange wolf before, but he must have been a member of the pack, no doubt she had seen him around the lands, perhaps one day they might meet. But all the patchwork girl cared about was that he would look after Anann and care for her when she needed him, every wolf needed someone to chase away the monsters under the stairs sometimes, no matter how old they might get, especially when they had been through the troubles that the larger female had been through, the little female listened as Anann spoke again. The older female made a fair point, without Robin then Fee would be left in the care of Linden and although he wanted to be a hero he had not had much practice in their games, his patchwork patterned sister took the role of the leader of the band of adventurers, he was relegated to the sidekick. He would not be as efficient as Robin herself was at ridding the house of the terror under the stairs.
“As long as Anatoily is looking after you properly then I think I will be alright leaving you under his care. You make a good point about Felicity, if I am not there then I am not sure that Linden knows how to scare the moster off properly, I can't leave her to be terrified.” The patchwork girl replied, looking up at the much larger female as she spoke, her look was stern when she asked that Anatoily, she didn't want Anann to be left alone with someone that wouldn't look after her properly, she needed someone that would be able to chase away Anann's personal monsters. The older female seemed to go off in her head as the pair continued chatting, her conversation seeming far more slow than it had done, it seemed that she was distracted by something, the little female did not want to press her though, she must have been through some terrible times, she did not want the older female to have to speak about them, sometimes one could not help but dwell on problems, she had seen many wolves with a similar far away expression to Anann's own one now.

Anann explained about the horses, saying that there were many different types of horses, that they came in all kinds of colours and sizes, this was interesting to the little female, she drank the information in, nodding as the female spoke, it was wonderful to gain so much information in one short day and of course to see Anann, she was more than a little concerned about her, it was good to see her and know that she was coping and even after all the trouble that she had been through the she could still smile; even if those smiles were brief and sad. The young female nodded as Anann spoke about the name for her own horse, she was pleased that she agreed with her, Scarlett was a much better name for the pale mare than Marian, if she named her Marian then she might be doomed to a lifetime of being captured. She smiled as Anann agreed, her tail wagging as she spoke.
"Yes, I think that Scarlett would be a much better name for her than Marian, miss Anann, yes, if I named her Marian then she might end up being captured all of the time and then what good would she be as a side kick?" The small female replied, her tail still wagging. Robin's face fell a little as Anann said that she had to go, that she was tired and she would have to leave now. But she tried to be grown up and nodded as the female said goodbye, she accepted that the female would have to leave, surely after something that had been such a trauma then she must have been tired, especially if she was having trouble with monsters under the stairs, they often disturbed sleep. The patchwork girl smiled as she said that it had been a nice time speaking with her.
"Good bye miss Anann, I hope that you have a safe journey, it has been lovely speaking to you. I shall say hi to dad for you!" She called as the lady left, deciding that perhaps it was time that she too went home, moving to pad out of the doors, back to her family.
