+3. Set in Borgata Tecolotl. Sometime around 2-3am.

A pair of green eyes surveyed the dark landscape, pupils wide in to suck in the light given from a waning moon. Salvia, as she so often did at night, sat on a rise of rough grass and sandy earth and stared into the night. Her body, well crafted by weeks of training, was a lithe thing made of muscle and thick fur. She was not as large as her brother, but she accepted this. Pandemic was changing as well. When he had returned, she had known. When he traveled outside of the pack lands since, she had known. The quiet boy was now a man, and what he had done made him such.

Jealousy rippled under a pelt marked by dark accents, but she was pristine and perfect in all other ways. The fact that he had been given such a remarkable gift for such a simple task astounded her. Sirius could have asked Salvia to kill; she would have done so. An apex predator, Salvia was more than capable of striking down a living thing. Had she not tried to kill Wretch, her own blood? Traitors had no room to live; Outsiders were just as bad. Salsola alone meant Providence, and she would not rest until her role within this small pack was brought to a head.

For an instant, she considered slaughtering her mother’s new children and then dismissed it. While the law of nature would have expected such a thing if she was but younger, the law of Salsola (and by extension, Sirius) was one she would not break. White teeth exposed themselves to the starlight, glistening in a silent grimace as she tasted the air with her tongue. One thing was certain to her—she wanted blood, as she had gained from Wretch. She wanted to know what it was to kill a person, and not just food.
