Thread Requesting
#1
I'm a bit new to 'Souls and also new to a large RPG forum so I've become stuuck on a point when on a RPG thread.
Do you have to request the maker of a RPG thread before you can post in that thread?

What I mean is, must I ask of the permission of the RPG thread maker before I enter my character into their RPG thread?

If the thread is marked Private, either with a [p] or something of that nature, then it's not for you.
If it's marked [aw] or all welcome, then you are free to join it.

If you want to rp with a particular person you can PM them and ask if they would like to have a thread with you and you can sort out details of what might possibly happen in the thread Smile

and yes Taliesin is right, P or Private threads are not open to others, it's a thread previously discussed with others, AW is free to join, you do not have to ask permisssion you can post, Make sure to read any ooc as well Smile

OR if you just want to find people to rp with you can post a thread request here: http://www.soulsrpg.com/ipb/index.php?showforum=19

There is also a list of all "All Welcome" threads listed on our Open Threads forum. You can join any of those by checking them out here: http://soulsrpg.com/ipb/viewtopic.php?t=12983

Though with AW threads, generally you shouldn't jump in on one that's already fairly far along, at least not without PMing the people in it.

Thanks guys, helps a lot to know about RP posting! I'm a little shy and cautious about posting in IC, so thanks again for the information! Smile
Although, a question for Ayaaha post, what would I have to PM the players in a long RP thread about?

If you can join them. They might not want another person in after the thread has been going on so long. But they might, so that's why you should ask them.
