She wasn't for certain why she'd went so far, why she'd circled all the way around Inferni's lands and had skirted the side of the mountain only to land once more back in the middle of nowhere along a deserted beach. Stretching her long legs as she moved along the beachfront she began to get the idea to make a fire since the night was coming on faster than she'd thought. She'd moved back and forth along the beach dragging driftwood along the front to a spot she'd begun to pile it up on. Soon enough when she'd had a respectable pile she shifted into her optime form and grunting and puffing she rolled the trunk of an old tree across the beach and finally crashed upon it's form.

Sitting there for a good time she panted and rested, wiping the sweat from her brow as she let the sea breeze dry her damn fur. After a few moments of catching her breath she finally rummaged through her old pack and pulled out the lighter she used to make the fire crackle and roar. Before long it was licking at the old dry wood and lighting up the beach. She sighed and crossed her arms on her knees as she stared into the flames as the sun set beyond her. The darkness soon crept in but it didn't really matter, she was safe within the circle of the flames.

*sneaks* Maybe they coud have a nice conversation abut families?

Red was wandering along the beach. He didn’t do it often, lack of trees and all, but sometimes there were interesting things that washed ashore and there was always drift wood or shells to look at. Also, he did have a connection to it, seeing as he had been washed up on a beach. It was all he could remember, nothing before. It made him sad as he gazed out across the sea and the sky darkened; he really didn’t have a family. He closed his eyes and tried to imagine what they might have been like. A stern but loving father, tender caring mother, and maybe some bossy older siblings or small little ones that he had to take care of would be running around.

Red sighed and opened his eyes, kicking a small rock with his foot. It was then that he noticed a fire further along the beach. His heart raced and he was confused, of all the places for a fire why was it on a beach, where there was water and wet wood? Curiousity got the best of him and he wandered toward it. He realized that there was a Luperci near the flames, a female. The fire was small and seemed to not be spreading, but he still was rather a far way out when he called out in greeting. ”Umm, hola! ¿Como estas?”

Iskata had been absorbed in her own thoughts and hadn't even noticed the approaching male, something that hadn't happened for a long time. The sudden voice raising over the suft made her pin her ears back against her head as she tried to stare out past the flames to see who was intruding upon her small claim on the beach. It took her too long to find and fiure out who the voice belonged to from the prolonged time she'd spent gazing into the flames but after a while of staring into the darkness she found the face that belonged with the voice.

She stared at him silently as she tried to piece together the words he'd said. Once long ago someone had tried to teach her the language, though there was little she could say at all, time had stolen the broken tutoring skills from her. Raising herself up she called out softly. "Sorry... no.. hable español muy bien?" The words were studdered and broken, her grasp on the few words she knew so sad. A Sheepish grin spread across her face as she laughed at her sorry excuse of a sentence.

Red smiled back at the female. He had temporarily forgotten about the language gap. He wondered if it would be scary for a strange wolf to approach her in the dark and start speaking a random language that she couldn’t understand. Well, not completely at least. He perked his rusty ears at her simple Spanish and chuckled softly. ”I try speak English. Red Sol, you?” At the at the last sentence/question he first placed a hand on his chest and then pointed at the female near the fire.

Speaking of fire, he looked at it warily again. In the fading sunlight, a patina of red glow covered the sand and everything else near the fire. This wolf had probably made it, but still, Red knew that fire burned trees and hybrids that might be up in those trees. Besides being struck by lightning or dragged out of a tree in the night, fire was his greatest fear. He shuffled his feet uncertainly, as if he couldn’t decide to come closer or not. In the end, he settled for just standing there awaiting her response.

The broken words that greeted her ears made her smile slightly as she gestured to the male to join her at the bonfire. She spoke softly while watching him, "I'm Iskata Sadira, I take it you're not from around here?" She had met wolves that had spoken many languages when she'd went in search of her children, tyhe spatter here and there she caught in the port town made it easy enough for her to let them community with broken words and gestures. Her eyes glittered in the firelight as she studied the male, if he'd intended her harm it probably would have came by now. She noticed he seemed wary of the fire which made her tilt her head to the side as she watched the newcomer.

IT had taken her a moment to notice that he seemed to resemble someone she knew, but it was hard to put her finger on it, after a while she began to just let the notion fade away. Relaxing a bit she smiled at Sol again and spoke up when she realized the look in his eyes had a slight touch of fear. "The fire isn't dangerous.. not now anyways." She watched him from the corner of her eye waiting to see what he would do, that small itch that he reminded her of someone kept nipping at her. Before long she realized what it was, the knowledge really didn't surprise her, but the male wasn't a full blooded wolf.. he reminded her of her own son, Faolin and her cousin.. all hybrids.

Red smiled back at the female. She was far older than he was, but she still was attractive. She had a very soft look to her, like in her creation someone had turned the opacity WAY down and softened her edges. He soon found that her name was Iskata. It rolled nicely in his mind. He wriggled his nose slightly in amusement at her statement. ”Actually, I come from here. On beach, from el mar. Ocean.” Red turned to the soft waves the came to the shore. The sound of the ocean was steady and soothing, a sharp contrast to the snap of the bonfire. He pointed to the waves and then waved his hand around at the beach. ”I no remember before then. Yo fue siete months.” Red held up seven fingers to her, a slightly sad expression working onto his face.

The hybrid had been no more than a child when he had washed up on the shore. It had been especially frightening for him, without a mother or anyone in the world to care for him. He lifted his eyes as she seemed to tell him that the fire was safe. He moved closer to it and her. She was looking at him intently, but he didn’t think that her motives were malicious. Red felt the odd feeling of the sand compressing beneath his feet as he came up to her. ”Why you here?”

The words that came from the hybrid were so exotic with his accent, though she shouldn't have been surprised, she'd heard a million different voices during her time at the port. Her eyes widened in surprise as she began to understand him a little more. "You came from overseas? You landed on the beach here?" she asked, confused slightly by his words.

But before she could even further ask she realized that he'd said he couldn't remember anything from before seven months ago. Brows furrowed together she wondered why he couldn't remember anything before then. "I'm sorry.. I know what it's like.." She'd gone through a period of time when she didn't know who she was, she couldn't even recognize her family and she refused to believe those who know who she truly was. Shaking her head to rid the memories from her mind she sighed softly recalling how she had gathered back what had been lost from her.. but that had been long ago, atleast it felt thatway now, life without her mate.

When asked why she was here she smiled shyly and shrugged, stretching out her legs as she stared up at the starlit sky. "Sometimes you need time to just get away from it all.. but I guess that's kindof hard when everything is trapped up here." knocking her hand against her head softly she winked at the hybrid and chuckled softly.

Hahhaa, skool posty ^^ Hope this is okay, sry about lateness.

Red twisted his face slightly at her words. At least this female was trying to make sense of his crazy dialect. Some hadn’t even tried that and had just been annoyed by his lack of English. ”Sort of. Yo fui washed en la playa. I no know. Boatwreck, maybe? No remember.” It was strange, but the way his speech went wasn’t really of his control. Sometimes Red seemed to speak English perfectly, other times it was almost all Spanish. Maybe his mind was just jumbled up.

His ears pricked at her sympathetic words. He hadn’t realized that she had also lost her childhood, or at the very least her memories. Red felt a small connection from this knowledge and smiled slightly, then frowned. ”¿Tú no remember childhood también?” The hybrid tilted his head slightly with his question, curious. Was that really what she was saying?

He contemplated the meaning of her words quietly as she said something about being trapped and winked at him. It was curious, because not only did he sometimes speak in Spanish, but he also sometimes only understood certain things. To say that he was flabbergasted would be a hyperbole; Red really didn’t think about it that much, only noted it in passing.

She smiled sadly at the words he said, the small similarities between the two, no matter how small did seem to bring then closer, though two souls sitting around a bonfire in the beach couldn't really get too much closer. Those fireside chats always seemed to pop up whenever there was a fire no matter if you wanted one or not. Turning to look out at the sea her eyes glittered with the firelight's reflection as she spoke softly. "It's alright if you can't remember, it will come back with time.."Turning back to the flames she smiled, remembering the time it too for her memories to return, though she always did wonder how long it could take without the help she'd had. Stirring the flames up with a stick she sat and stared into the fire, silent as she wondered where her lost mate was now.

Jolted from her thoughts by the question the hybrid had thrown out she gazed up over the flames at him and shook her head. She'd never had her childhood lost, but memories of her children and even their own childhood as well. "No, not my childhood, but my children's. I didn't even know who I was.. who they were.. I was lost and confused for a long time." shaking her head as the sadness poured into her eyes she sighed and tried to bury those mistakes back in her past. The fire crackled between them merrily as though their pains didn't exist.

She looked back to the male before her as the bright flames cracked happily between them. She leaned back and picked at the log she'd perched herself upon as she spoke up. "Things do get better after a while, if you can't remember your past don't think about it.. concentrate on the future." she flicked a stray spat of sand off her knee as she fed another log to the fire.
