The hardest thing & the right thing are the same

Lightening flashed across the cloudy evening sky, soon followed by a terrible roar of thunder, one so loud that it almost shook the earth itself. Rain fell harshly from gray clouds, thick droplets that covered the lands in seeming sheets. The ocean, most often serene and peaceful, seemed in a rage, waves crashing harshly against the shore, threatening anyone who was ignorant enough to tread to close. Within all of the chaos of the day was a young blonde and black male, soaked straight to the bone. He sat quiet idly on a rock a good few feet away from the crashing waves, hardly moving, with hands place gingerly in his lap.

Through the rain and wind and thunder, it was hard to tell that the boy was doing more than simply sitting, he was there crying, letting it all pour out because he knew everything around him would drown it all out. It was a bad day for the young the male, a day full of self pity and doubts. A whole family that hated him, a close friend gone missing, and mistake after mistake for him to sit and go over in his head. He should have accepted his fate the day that he had destroyed his family, the day that his father struck him and sent him across the bedroom. The very day that caused his mother to vanish. It should have been him. He should have been the one to disappear and relieve everyone else of the trouble that he caused, and that was the only thing on his mind.

He had followed the violent weather as it had moved towards the shattered coast to let its rage whip up the sea into a foaming monster. Chocolate coat had converted into a darker hue because of the liquid, and his mane stuck to his face and disrupted his scouting eyes endlessly. The arena seemed tricky, and it triggered his optimism. He needed to get his thoughts off the usual shit, and he was still unsure how to handle the harm Iskata had done by running around like a attention greedy child telling the whole world of what he had done. The three year old beast expected the coyotes to track him down soon, as they had been given more than enough time now. Haku did not believe he could possess fear, but he had kept on the move more frequently than usual, and he knew it was to increase time before they found him. All things came as they did, and he would wait with open arms.

The boy on the rock seemed daring. He was on a decent distance from the violent water, but Haku knew most beings would not have been at this area at all in such a discomforting weather. Haku’s soaked hears flickered slightly against his skull. He scratched with sharp talons on the bandages wrapped around his wrists mindlessly. He had not included other living canines into the ideal scenery, but he was not God. Less freedom to choose and rule, but he was flexible enough to take on to the challenge. A lightening splattered across the sky and lighted up the same passage as the other beast probably had used, and the soaked Sadira made his way out towards the open mouth of the sea. With obvious disliking frown of the actual effort it was to wipe away hair from his eyes, he approached the male. Due to the roar from nature both from above and everywhere around, he did not bother to attempt announce his incoming presence.

He let his elbows hit a rock a bit behind the other wolf’s seat, and Haku let his hands wave freely in the winds, white blue eyes gazed up at the male’s pitiful seated position. If he had been odd enough to not discover the newcomer yet, it was about time he should. Oi? Sitting here, you may catch a cold.

Jasper is a fragile little gay boy. D; Hopefully he won't frighten Haku away with his emoness. ;P

He would have given the world to have the arms of his mother around him, wiping away the tears and making the world a wonderful place. It was because of him that she wasn't, though. That night that he had set their bed on fire, had caused such a rage with his father. She was just gone. The thought only caused the rush of tears streaming down his face to grow, burning at his eyes despite the cool rain that washed the feeling away. A mother to hold him, friend to reassure him, or a lover to promise him the world. Laurent could have been two of those things, Jasper was desperate enough to freely admit that in his mind now, but even Laurent had disappeared without a trace.

His train of thought was quickly broken by the slight thump on the rock, followed by a sudden wave of hands that he just barely caught out of the corners of his eyes. Turning his head abruptly, Jasper settled blurry eyes on the other male, almost jumping at the fact that there was someone there at all. It was then that he realized the tears still coming from his eyes, reaching up quickly to brush them away, rubbing violently as to try and leave no trace of them. "S-sorry." He said quietly, just barely over the wind and crashing waves. "I didn't expect anyone else to come here when it's like this." His tone was quiet, pathetic almost, and Jasper was almost to depressed and lonely to care.

Sad

The reaction as the boy finally figured out there was someone there almost made the chocolate coated male give an unwilling laugh, but he managed to stop the wave of joyful mouthfuls of breath in time. The lonely scene he had stumbled into was in fact not very hilarious, but the look of the boy violently attempting to brush away the salty tears that Haku unfortunately already had spotted was surprising. Well, it was the ideal place and weather for a little mental pour down. Though he had managed to hide the bark, the slight confusion on the Sadira’s face was not hidden before it had stayed for a few seconds. Big boys did not cry, but this one surely did. He was not hurt physically, so Haku was at loss what might be causing the other male such misery that made him cry so openly, no matter if he was alone or not.

When it came to emotions, Haku had started the process of shutting the factory down quite a while ago, as he had not been able to find happiness. He believed he could have inherited a bit of the annoying depression his mother had carried on most of her life, and he refused to go down the emotional path. He was a man, and he held no weaknesses. I am sorry I disturbed you then, it was not my intention.. Actually, it had not been. He had not seen the invisible burdens on the other male’s shoulders before the blonde, dark-haired canine had turned to him and revealed the misery that was stuck to his face. Are you hurt? Obviously if he was crying like that.

Haku did not fully understand how intensely mental wounds could ache. He had experienced it briefly once upon a time, but it was all forgotten and the movie had been thrown away by the beast while doing the spring cleaning.

We could go for real awkwardness and Jasper can have a total breakdown and throw himself on Haku to cry on him? XD

"It's my fault." It always is. The younger male practically whined as he spoke, growing tired of rubbing his eyes and simply giving up on trying to wash away the tears. His hands, tired and unwilling to try anymore, dropped light dead weight to his lap and laid there in a haphazard manner. He hung his head, tufts of dark hair falling down across his forehead and straight in front of his eyes. For a brief moment the world was gone, soft colored lids falling closed over two different colored eyes, forcing out tears that seemed to be almost stuck before opening to the world again. Before, when everything in his world was all wrong, at least there had been a little ray of hope that things would fall in to place. Now there was nothing.

"It's all gone." He sobbed the words, bringing his hands to his face once more, this time to bury his head in his palms. Elbows rested carefully against his knees, planted there firmly so that he could lean his weight forward. Everything was gone, everyone, and all because Jasper was a failure. There had been a fleeting moment of happiness, thinking that Anka, though only his half sibling, might actually like him and be nice to him. That had been shattered with her teasing though, and now the fact that she had disappeared again. Laurent, who Jasper could have rather easily have loved, was suddenly gone as well. "Everyone left me.." It was a desperate, sad statement, made worse by the fact that he might actually have to come to accept it all.

That could be interesting! Go for it, I say!

Haku’s jaw dropped as the male’s voice broke and let the tears run free. Was Haku supposed to know what was his fault? Unconsciously the male leaned a bit in the opposite direction of the younger boy, Blue eyes widened slightly as he took in the scene that he so foolishly had walked into without a worry in the world. Haku was a rather solid character, but he had stumbled across something fragile and soft. His ability to analyze exactly what was in front of him was temporary out of order due to the fact that he had never faced a wolf with such obvious issues that were all mental. Had someone left the wolf alone on the rock? Surely the other luperci was old enough to know how to make his way around alone without babysitters?

Normally Haku would have turned and walked away, but today he had decided to give Mr. Nice Haku a try, so he would stand at his ground and face the horror with the bleeding eyes. The blue eyed soon-to-be-Dahlia-titled-member grabbed his jaw and tried to look normal and untouched even though confusion ran through his system thicker than blood. He was too shallow, and so he had never before been so openly challenged by an other creature’s problems in life. Tell me what is wrong.. In a short pause between the nature’s roar, warm and soothing words had left the newcomer’s lips and was aimed aimed at the suffering being's soft ears. He leaned over to his original position, but lifted his body slightly to match the whining male’s height.

Despair and sadness were two things that Jasper could express exceptionally well, though he often chose to do so in privacy rather than in public. Today had been a today to just let it all loose, even if he knew it wouldn't make anything any better, and this poor, unsuspecting stranger had happened upon a complete break down. He rather expected the other male to up and leave, wouldn't have blamed him either, and it would have simply turned in to something else that he would make himself feel like crap for later on. He was always a burden, always did something wrong and now matter how well he knew it, he still felt bad for every little thing that he did.

Oddly enough, things didn't work out that way. Instead, as the roar of mother nature died down for a brief moment, almost as if Jasper was meant to hear the words of the other male, he inquired about what was wrong. His heart thumped quickly, breath hitching in his throat as his ears absorbed the words. It wasn't often that someone bothered to ask or to even pay him any mind, but today that all changed. At that point it all began to break away and the young de le Poer male could no longer hold back what he often tried so hard to. In a single fluid motion he practically slid away from the rock, twisting his body around so that he managed to land straight against the other male, chest to chest. His legs were spread far apart, almost a straddling position, and his arms curled up against the chest of the stranger, head immediately finding the soft fur that lined that area and burying itself there.

If they had not been too well attached to his head, Haku’s eyes would have popped out for sure. The timed slowed down into slow motion as the male detached from the rock and leaped onwards to a more suitable nest. Haku’s mouth opened in what was supposed to be the beginning of a warning sneer, but the boy moved too swiftly despite with slow motion tool active, and his breath was forced out of his lungs in a pitiful yelp. Haku stumbled backwards and got the rock he himself had leaned against moments earlier into his back. Black dots danced across his eyes, and he pondered if the best thing would allow everything to fade into black. He shook his head and instinctively wrapped his hands around the other male. His lips lifted and revealed teeth, but the emotional wuss had buried his face into his fur. What the fuck

As soon as he realized he was supporting the younger male, he removed his hands and tried to push him away, one hand sneaking in-between their bodies and one fishing for the cold nose in all the fur to push away. Adrenaline danced around in violent waves. No one had ever come up to him like this, and no one ever was allowed to touch him without his improvement. Haku was not an affectionate man, and had only experienced a loving embrace from one person only, and that was the man that had taken his virginity, the rapist that had captured his heart for a brief moment, but that Haku never had seen again. It was disturbing, and the cream male could not help but shiver slightly in discomfort.

A dash of panic emerged and his jaws snapped together loudly, his talons directed against the poor being’s skin, and his hands leaped to their respective sides of the other male’s chest and pierced the skin at the same time as he forced the male off him with a burst of pure muscles.

Jasper was the last soul in the world that would ever intentionally put himself in danger, so the fact that he had even spoke to the male with more than a few words had been odd in and of itself. Things had been on his mind for far to long though, only getting worse and worse as time pressed on, and Jasper was no longer able to contain those things. It could have been the warmth in the stranger's voice that somehow triggered the sudden movements, or some desperate action for positive attention. Whatever it was, he hadn't a care in the world that it might put him in danger, nor did he really expect it to.

It was the snap of teeth and feeling of claws against his flesh that broke the stupor of his emotional outburst. Before he could even manage to react, to remove himself from the stranger, the sharp claws dug into his chest, immediately causing small droplets of blood to form there, and Jasper was thrown into the black sand. The piercing claws had caused a sharp yelp break through his sobs, which only extended as he hit the ground. The reaction to all of this by a timid young male? He curled up immediately in the sand, bringing his hands back to his face to continue sobbing. Like his father all over again, but this time without the emotional attachment.

Normally, Jasper would be all over himself in fear, wondering if he might live another day, but today was different. Today he almost hoped that he really did press the wrong buttons, that this deceptively warm stranger might rip him limb from limb and save him the pain that would surely continue on if he lived.

He had nearly leapt after the form as he had been thrown on the floor, but the moment the body was away from his skin, the male calmed down several levels. His tender nose tasted blood particles, and the outburst from the male stung him in a way he could not grasp. The pathetic form curled up on the ground and continued crying rivers. The darker male sighed deeply, and rested his body to the cold stone and raised his face to the sky for cold liquid to cool down the temper that always seemed to settle with its heat on his face whenever adrenaline and tension rose. Blue eyes searched out the sorry canine seconds after, and he tilted her head, regretting his outburst.

He took a few sideways steps towards the route that had led him here in the first place, but then moved soundlessly to the defeated creature sobbing in the black sand. The older male crunched down and let a hand carefully settle on the boy’s shoulder. There, there.. Do not cry, boy.. What the hell was he supposed to say, the emotional creature could not talk, only produce snot and tears, and he was really at a loss of actions. He let his other hand settle as a pillar to the ground supporting his own weight. shhhh.. He cooed softly, the warm honey was back in his delicate voice, and it was as if his little outburst never had happened.

One day, perhaps, Jasper would be able to accept his position of one of the most hated creatures on the planet. For whatever reason, everyone seemed to despise him, whether it be because he was awful sensitive or whatever other reason they could think of, he wasn't sure. It seemed fairly consistent for the most part, though. The sad fact was, no matter how old he looked on the outside, he was still just a child on the inside, searching desperately for approval of some kind. His mother had vanished without a trace, his father had soon after left him and his siblings, and even his own litter mates had abandoned him. Even so, Jasper was a stubbornly faithful being, and even went as far as to follow the father who hated him all the way across the ocean.

It was, perhaps, one of the reason that Jasper didn't bother to try and leave then. He owed the stranger an apology, after all, and it was really one of the only things that he was good at. "I'm sorry." He managed to get out between gasps for air to try and cease his sobs. Even before he finished speaking the word he could feel the warmth of the hand against him, followed by words that were once more warm. He shuddered for a brief moment, the effect of a soft touch, something that Jasper had long ago learned to take in and absorb whenever he could manage to get one, from stranger or not. "I'm sorry.." He repeated once more, breaking through his own sobs and attempting to calm them.

The boy trembled slightly under his hand, and the male grimaced slightly, assuming he had made it twice as bad by arriving and acting carelessly. The boy apologized between the depressing sobs, but the male crunching beside him just shook his head. Surely, it was not normal that wolves ran around and embraced strangers, but he supposed the loner had his reasons for dissolving into tears. The lighter male seemed to calm more down, and Haku let his body take a proper seat next to the curled up ball of wet fur and tears. He let his gaze witness the ocean rage against the shore nearby. If it had not been so windy and wet, it would have been a beautiful view to actually appreciate as it was alone, but time was not right.

He let the hand travel down to the male’s back, and he leaned a bit forward, blue eyes tried to search out the unknown male’s own wet orbs. He could offer a shoulder if it was necessary, as long as he had somewhat control of the situation again. No, I’m sorry, I did not mean to harm you. He let his hand stroke the blonde back slowly, and he rested his elbow on his knee, head resting in his hand, peering at the other. What’s your name?

Thin fingers wiped haphazardly at his eyes, removing the tears from the very edges before finally moving away, snaking their way beneath his head to act as a pillow. Bi-colored eyes moved slowly, carefully observing the arm that extended out to him, attached to the hand that offered gentle touches, and finally moved up to the face of the stranger. The feeling of the hand, especially as it moved down his back, was comforting sort of thing and was slowly calming the younger male. He sniffled once or twice as he lay, shifting his muzzle so that it was more pointed toward the other male, so that he could see him better.

"Jasper." He practically croaked, breath shaking in his chest as he made an attempt to calm himself even more. "Jasper de le Poer." There was a sudden sort of awkward peace in him now, despite having realized all of what had happened and the fact that it was complete stranger that he was sharing an emotional moment with. It was odd for him, a young man that wouldn't even open up to those close to him without serious persuasion, but it was all just the result of Jasper needing someone.

The male was puzzled. Though the younger blonde had been a shaking wreck, he seemed to calm down, and for the first time Haku could gaze down at the boy’s face properly. Why did such a delicate little creature tremble with so much pain within? Although the rivers of tears was withdrawing a little, the male seemed extremely fragile, like a little glass figure. Laura’s little glass unicorn. As the male turned his gaze and snout more to him, he revealed his name. The brown male repeated the name under his breath, offering the male a warm smile. He knew of the de le Poer line, but not much more than that it was just as crowded as the Sadira blood line.

I am Haku. He removed the weight in his hand and lifted his face slightly, leaning a bit over down at the boy. If it could save Jasper’s fur for a few rain drops though nothing more, it was enough for the Sadira. He removed his hand from the other male and wrapped it along with the other one around his knees. My mother once said it is healthy to let the tears flow. It is better to get it out than to keep it inside. His mother was a failure, but it was of course nothing Jasper would find out anytime soon, if ever. As he had talked, his gaze had leaped from the male’s face and crept to mother nature’s play with the salty water. The thunder was growing weaker and along with the lightning, more scattered.

Haku still did not know how to handle the other, but at least the loner had begun to calm down. Good step one.
