WC:300+ - Lol get your singing voices in gear people Big Grin also i fail at writing songs/poems -.-

Burdened as she was by her swollen stomach it took her an arduously long time to traverse up the trails of the mountains and eventually she reached the majestic buildings of Gampo Abbey and sat herself down within it's spiritual walls as she rested. The Jinne and Hui K'o were no where to be found as far as she could tell, and Jace walked slowly to the edge of the cliffs that dropped straight down onto Colchester quarter. From her position up here she could see the entire length of Ichika right across to Wentworth Valley at the other end. The natural curve of the land would amplify her voice far and wide, there wouldn't be a place within Ichika that wouldn't hear her call.

The sun was beginning to dip into the horizon turning the sky into a kaleidoscopic of reds, oranges and yellows with a few purples and blues rolled in as well. A few clouds marred the perfection but instead of taking from the beauty they added to it, creating a visage that would make babbling idiots out of even the most eloquent of men. Without ceremony or flamboyance Jace tipped her head back to the sky and let her voice ring out and over her lands, the song she had created tipping off of her tongue into the howl, she encouraged the other's to join in with her,

In this great land that we live, who was old before our ancestors were new,

from the Great Mother came two leaders, of wisdom and truth.

Red masked fool and dual colored darling came together as friends,

with ideals in hand, a world of equality made, and thus from those embers,

Ichika was born.

From the ashes of flame and kindred smoke, the Phoenix arose,

From the warmth of earth and bloodied soil, Dahlia's flower blossomed.

Two halves of a whole brought together as one,

to complete the imperfect circle of Enso.

From fighters we come, but peace we do bring,

To brother, to sister, mother and father, to trail weary traveler,

I sing it before and I sing it again, sing with me my friends,

This is the song of Ichika no Ho-en

When she had finished her song she started it again, going through the verses one after the other waiting for other to join in.

Temo was following the trails up into the hills as he made his way towards Gampo Abbey. This was all a new area for him and as he climbed, he was also looking at the beautiful scenery that unfolded around him. The birds were singing thier songs as they flitted between the trees and bushes looking for their next meal. He was glad Jace had talked him into following her to the Abbey. He just wished she had waited for him so they could enjoy the hike together.

The sky overhead had turned color into the reds and yellows and the colors between signifying that the sun was low and meeting the horizon in it's relentless trek around the globe. He had reached the abbey just in time to hear Jace sing her song.

Temo could see Jace ahead of him and he stopped. It was a beautiful sight that had unfolded before him. Jace stood ahead of him with her back to him and head held high as she sang her song. The multi hued sky as a backdrop for Jace enhanced her voice. His breath was taken away from him as he watched and listened to her and for the first time in his life, he wished he could sing but alas, he did not possess the voice for singing and kept quiet. After she had sung her song again, he approached her quietly and put his arm around her shoulders. He kissed her on her cheek and his lips moved saying hi but he did not let his voice out to spoil the moment.

Ookami was walking along, trying to clear his head as he heard a call from someone he had been trying to avoid for a while. He took in a sharp breath. He was going to have to face her at some point. He still hadn't been able to really recall what had happened on that crazy drunken night. He didn't know if they slept together or what... but he knew that Temo was probably going to be there. He didn't know if Jace had told Temo anything but he hadn't said anything to Adonia. He knew that he should, but he just couldn't bring himself to tell her. He didn't want to hurt her with even the thought that he could have slept with someone else.

He was so lost in thought that he didn't even realize that he had begun to travel towards where Jace had called from. By the time he noticed it he was already there, looking up at her. She had a beautiful voice and he wanted badly to join in. But would it make things awkward? Or would she just be glad that he didn't feel strange? He took a deep breath and listened to her words. She repeated the same verse over and after a few times he got it, it stuck in his brain. He took a small breath and calmed himself, letting the lyrics he had heard earlier from the female and let them escape from his lips in song.

It felt good that he was singing again. He hadn't sung for such a long time. He let his voice out, booming and loud and let it carry. He made sure that he didn't drown out Jace's voice, though her's would overpower his anyway because of her position. He sung along with the female, waiting for more people to show up and join in, if any would. He looked up at Jace, a smile on his face. It was half apologetic and half hopeful. What would she think of him being there? Hopefully she would catch his eye and see that he was sorry that that drunken night had happened. Though she may not be able to tell by the distance between them. He hoped anyway though.

Smile

The male used his large and slightly drooped ears to hear the call that came from the heartlannds of the pack. Standing from his peaceful sitting position, where he had been silently pondering, he drew his cloak over his head and began to walk towards the voice that had now begun to turn melodic, rather than a howl. When he drew closer, he saw three members of the pack - he also heard what one of them, Jace, was singing. Her voice was quite beautiful, singing a song pure and true of their home land, the place where they called home and family, Ichika no Ho-en.

Ookami, another member, began to sing as well. Feeling a happiness inside of him, a warmth that glowed in pride of his home, he opened his maw too, and began to sing. His singing was not the melody soprano that Jace's was, nor was it like Ookami's voice - rather, it was a deep bass tone, rich and deep that rumbled out the words, the sound akin to deep thunder. He sang along with his pack mates, his unique and rich voice adding to the song that now flowed over the lands.

OOC here!

Wretch could often be found out and about, exploring the many twisting and turning streets of one of the many towns that littered their territory. Today she was looking around a new place, a part of Ichika that she had never managed to reach with her previously broken leg. She enjoyed life in Ichika, as peaceful and quiet as it was, and took in her surroundings with appreciation as she padded along. The girl could see that Autumn was beginning to creep over the lands, the overgrown foliage of the city changing shades as the months went on. The lands that they lived in were beautiful at any time of the year, but autumn and spring had always been her favorite seasons and she felt an even deeper tie to Ichika now.

A melody came drifting through the trees toward her as she padded along, catching her attention. As the small hybrid made her way toward the source of the sound she heard more voices singing along, though the tune to her was somewhat unfamiliar. She was very much a shut-in, and wasn't sure if she ought to know this song or not - it was obvious that quite a few of her packmates did. She neared the group and stood in silence around the fringes of it, humming along where she could. Wretch did enjoy a nice song, and she occasionally sang when she was by herself...but never in a group before.
