I thought the song was appropriate. Please contact somebody if you plan on /not/ attending this thread for absentee reasons, so that we're not waiting on anybody :o This can be dated to whenever would be convenient for everybody, so tell me if it will interfere with any of your plots.

She often travelled to the city for fun, but today there was something else on her mind. Naniko had visited most of the packs in the area, but she was sure that there was at least one more that she hadn't had the chance to go to yet. Having four pups meant that everyone in Twilight Vale was working hard, either puppysitting, hunting, or scouting out possible threats to the youngsters. Now that the youngest members of the pack were old enough to be out on their own things were a little more relaxed, but not by much. Naniko had left the packlands with the two other leaders, leaving the pups with the trusted sitter Jazper.

She padded through one empty street after another. They needed to establish some sort of an out-of-territory base, where anyone could meet at any time, without worrying that a coyote might disturb them. Most of the houses on the street looked the same, all tall and white, but one larger house sat in the middle, a light green one. "I think here." She said to the others, pointing. "We'll have to remember...Elm street." She entered the house, looking around. There was a large living room, but an even bigger sitting room, a large amount of comfy chairs arranged in a circle. It was almost perfect. She turned around, going toward the front door and leaning against the doorframe. Should she howl for the others...or would they just arrive? She lifted her muzzle, letting a howl out toward the other territories.

She did not particularly like the idea of coming together with the other leaders so soon. It was a chance to realize and tally exactly who had lived and who had not, but so far with her own little life she was content. She didn't need to know who was around anymore to stir up trouble or who had failed so desperately and was taken by the fires. She knew that Inferni had survived, and that gave her a small piece of mind. She didn't want for anything else, at the moment, they served as her family enough. Or....they would quite soon.

She approached the designated meeting place without a hassle, her eyes finding Naniko and then quickly seeking the inside of the building. A hand momentarily brushed her stomach, discarding a bit of dirt that had taken up residence there. "How often do you plan on us meeting here?" She asked, stepping past the female to take up an oversized chair for herself. Red and gold swirled together in an elegant pattern, matching Fatin's complexion beautifully. There, for the moment, she would be satisfied until she discovered the true meaning of the meeting.

Cercelee had heard the call and after meeting up with Haku, set off. Although she was still uncertain of Haku being her co-leader, so had chosen to elevate him to that rank and what use as a leader would he be if he could not convince the packs that their plight was worth while? It was after all his fault that Inferni cried for their blood, but Cer kept that thought to herself. The year and a half old had never really visited the human city, although it was not too far off from her own lands. The alabaster female had never really felt any need to explore the human’s ruins, as her own pack land consisted of two human towns with it’s own buildings and artifacts, and although she spent her days unshifted in those lands, she felt somewhat out of place as she arrived at the meeting area. Pausing at the entrance Cercelee glanced at Haku, although she knew that they wouldn’t be turning back she took a moment to consider it. Why come this far if not to enter? And she wouldn’t have come at all if she didn’t think this meeting could be beneficial to her pack.

The female entered with a confident air, carefree almost, she had not shown given Haku any hint of her uncertainties and she would not let the other pack leaders on to her thought either, that was the benefit of being a master at controlling one’s body and emotions. Looking at the others she knew that they felt more at ease with the human surroundings, but she did not dare shift now. Instead she simply moved herself to a couch and took a spot there, sitting back on her haunches and looking at the other assembled leaders, all of whom were strangers to her. Hello, I’m Cercelee. Dahlia de Mai. And that was it, Haku could introduce himself and she would wait for someone else to start the official business. After all, she hadn’t been the one to call the meeting.

I'm playing it out as if this is the day before Colibri and Gabriel fight threads take place.

He had been sort of surprised at his sudden title, but it fitted very well. It was the way he had meant to go anyway, but he had expected it to take time as the last meeting with both Colibri and Cercelee together had turned out wrong. He accepted it fully, but he doubted Cercelee trusted him fully. They fitted perfectly together in a disturbing way though, as they both were brilliant actors and could hide very well whatever they chose to keep hidden. Haku had spent quite some times in the old human ruins. Cities had always fascinated him, and it was a treasure chest in truth for those who knew where to look. For polite reasons, he attempted to stay two footsteps behind Cercelee so that she got the impression that she was leading as she was in fact the leader.

Cercelee had thrown him a last glance, but the meeting was perfect for discussing Dahlia’s coyote problem. Haku entered the scene full of confidence. He knew who he was, and by entering he automatically revealed his high status in the pack, so he was equal to the rest. When Cercelee had met up with him, he had met her with the same plain form as her, and although he preferred the luperci form, he would match her for now. Blue eyes wandered slowly to take in the beings that already had arrived, and he sat down next to the Rosea, matching her height and some more. Haku, Dahlia de Mai. His voice was confident and he sounded almost bored. There was nothing more to say before they all were gathered.

He wasn't sure how his mother had done it, being a leader of a pack and having to worry about the pups that she was carrying, plus she had a litter form when Echo up and left her. Lucifer was now the leader and he had the pups from him and Deuce and Jazper, and Apollo. He didn't mind having all the pups, he would be the best father that he knew. The black male found time hard though, his heart was in his pack, any thing for the pack the male would do.

The howl came to him while he was in the room with the kids, snuggling with them was something he loved to do when and if he had the extra time. The black male stood up giving each of them a kiss and a nuzzle. Naniko had called and it just wasn't for him, it was for each and every leader out there. With a yawn the male stood up and took to the sound of her call. Shifting from his Lupus forum to his Secui forum not wanting to wast any time. Lucifer came upon the house where she was, there was so many scents that he knew. Taking the time the male stopped outside of the house and started the shift to his were forum, the numbing pain surged though his body but really...he was use to it.

After the shifting the male walked into the house taking note who was there, and who wasn't. The male knew the stunning Fatin, Of course he knew Naniko. The male found a chair that was wide, and looked over stuffed. The young male took to it, stretching his legs over the arm of the chair."Lucifer Sawtooth, Twilight Vale." Not that there was any question of what pack he had come from it clung to his coat.

The young Leader had known all about Naniko's plans for the meeting. Knowing that he would take longer to get together, though, he sent her on her way beforehand. It had only been a short time since his fight with the Inferni leader, which had left him with multiple broken ribs and few scuffs and scrapes here and there. The broken ribs were what caused his slow arrival though, taking his time to walk to the city, following the direction of his mate's call to pinpoint the house where they were to gather.

Immediately upon arrival he spotted Naniko, climbing the stairs to reach her. A short nuzzle was given, a hand brushing the side of her face, before he proceeded in toward the small crowd that had already gathered. Missing an arm and bandaged completely around his chest and half his stomach, he doubted that he looked anything close to presentable, but he supposed that was the point of the entire thing. "Conri Church, Twilight Vale." The young male stated upon entrance, bowing his head for a moment before making his way toward a plump love seat, which was situated close to where Lucifer had seated himself.

Taking a moment to look around, Conri noted that he didn't really know any of the others who had gathered and the lack of Pilot, who perhaps hadn't yet arrived. Little did he know, an old 'friend' of his father's was in his midst.

His eyes felt heavy in their sockets as if he hadn’t had adequate sleep in days. Truth was he had been having a bit of trouble sleeping the past few nights. Somehow this one dream kept reoccurring and Pilot would seem to wake up in the middle of the night with a chill racing down his spine and an image of Dierdre’s comforting eyes floating in the night air. It was that which he thought about now, slowly making his way towards the city where all the leaders had been called to. He knew he would probably be one of the last to arrive since he had failed to shift down to a faster set of four legs. It didn’t really concern the male much, though. It gave him time to think things over.

Lately he felt as if he had receded into himself. All of the progress he had made to overcome the fire and Dierdre’s disappearance seemed to have been lost. He had absorbed himself in learning medicine, planted Shadowed Sun’s herb garden, then began to have these dreams and memories. He supposed he hadn’t been much of a leader lately. Maybe he should talk to Tayui about that. Either way, he knew what was going to be said at the meeting was probably very important. He just hoped they wouldn’t mind him being a bit late.

-is stupid-

Naniko wasn't completely one way or the other about the new packs that had formed. She knew that there were wolves out there other than the ones that lived in Twilight Vale, and that Inferni had reformed and taken its original name. There were some packs that were tied together by family, some by friends, and there were some packs that weren't tied together by anything. She'd wondered about the wolves' loyalties, if they would side with their own species or the opposing force if an all-out war began with the coyotes.

This seemed unlikely, though...at least at this given time. There were too many wolves for the coyotes to take them all. When Fatin arrived she stepped aside so that the older female could pass. "This is just...to talk. And learn. But I suppose that this could be a more permanent spot...perhaps one that could be used in emergencies in the future."

After that the white wolf went to wait in the sitting room, taking a soft, high-backed chair. She was rather tall, so it fit her well. Others began to come some that she didn't recognize...and some that she only knew by their name. Haku and Cercelee were her friend Ember's cousins. Pilot wasn't there, Tayui either...but one of them would be coming, surely. She put a hand on Conri's shoulder when he arrived, squeezing it.

"And I'm Naniko D'angelo, from Twilight Vale as well." She started. Most everyone was there, and she didn't want to keep them waiting. It was a bad idea to have all of the leaders from all of the packs gone at once...this was why she'd chosen nightfall. Not much pack activity during the night, right? In any case, they'd all need to be back soon. "I wanted to try and get us all into one place for once...see who all is here, talk a little about things that've been going on"

Cercelee listened to the names given, trying to find a spot in her brain to store this information. Naniko, Conri, and Lucifer, all Twilight Vale. Cercelee knew that there were at least two other packs that had formed in the lands, though she hadn’t met any members and couldn’t think of the name of either pack. One she knew was made up of wolves that upheld luperci traditions and stayed shifted most of the time, but the other pack she had no idea of. Shifting her eyes to Haku, Cer wondered if he knew any one from the other packs, but it was not important. It seems some leaders are missing? What are the names of the other packs? Cercelee spoke out loud to no one in particular, and while she didn’t like admitting her ignorance to a group of leaders, it was better to learn than to go on in ignorance. She kept to herself far too much than fitted a leader.

Talk and learn and see what was going on with everyone. It was a sensible plan, but Cercelee didn’t know how much mere talking would aid her. It would be nice to learn about Inferni’s standing with the other packs, but if the other packs had no issue with Inferni than Dahlia de Mai was back at square one. I don’t suppose any of you have been having trouble with Inferni? It was truly the only thing that was going on with them that was worth sharing. Any other doings in her small pack, though growing in size it was, was minuscule compared to their problems with Inferni. Cercelee was just glad that the leaders of Inferni had not been invited to this shindig, and if they had, well then they hadn’t showed up.

erm, sure. skipping me works >__>

They poured in, mostly all white, and Fatin felt for a moment like the kitten who had stolen the cream. None had her depth, her beauty. Was she becoming vain in her old age? How unusual! Lucifer strangely enough smelled like her brother, and she lifted her brows silently to him in question. When all had gathered, she cleared her throat "My name is Fatin Kali, formerly of Jaded Shadows, currently founder of Labyrinth Glen" Most knew her, or knew of her at least. Her eyes turned sharply to one of the many white females Cerclee, wasn't it? Inferni? How wonderful. Already Fatin had a bad idea about how this would go.

"None what so ever. My Godchildren live there." It was clear no matter what side they were on, she had already decided hers. If she was left alone with Inferni against the world of Wolves, she would not mind that one bit.

His brain took in the names and he gave everyone that looked in his direction a nod in greeting, without making anything special out of it. They arrived at their own pace, and he waited patiently next to Cercelee. His light alphess spoke, and opened the subject relevant for this meeting, at least for Dahlia de Mai. The female with the oh so fancy titles threw Cercelee a sharp look and revealed her relationship to the clan. Haku’s position and face did not falter, and he looked at her with a blue gaze that was empty of about everything besides a mild curiosity.

Already the Labyrinth Glen female had chosen side(by the sound of it, according to him), even before the conversation had started. It was not black and white, as he had said to Mew. If it was her Godchildren that lived there, then she should be eager to find a best possible solution between both the coyotes and wolves? A strange way of acting without wanting to think through from an old woman, possibly. Then, maybe you could help find a solution to end your Godchildren‘s aggressive acts towards our kind? His voice questioned her gently, and he let his sky blue gaze rest upon the female the words were directed to.

Responding again just to answer his question, if anyone's bothered I can delete it <3

She laughed at his statement, green eyes vividly widening at the thought of baby Talithia and Ezekiel fighting with anyone. "Don't be silly, I'm sure you can handle a pair of puppies, can't you? Gods, they're hardly up to my knees yet, I'm sure they aren't performing any 'acts of aggression'...and why is it our kind against theirs? Aren't we all canines? They're hardly any different than we are, they live for their packs and protect their borders..." She asked, her voice equally as quiet, yet for very different reasons. Hers was because there was pain in her voice, because she knew the witch - hunt of the wolves against the coyotes would never end.

I think it is a good idea. As far as I know, there is no specific posting order, and it may help the thread move a bit faster, especially if there are direct questions directed towards one or more certain characters. So, I will do the same Wink

He flattened his chocolate ears as a light laughter reached his ears. He did not understand what she meant at first, but then less than seconds later he realized that she was talking about puppies. Very well then, he understood, but this was nothing to laugh at whatsoever. The children could risk growing up without parents if it went on like this. They had very different views here, but he was not worried of the wolves alone, but the innocent victims from both sides that would have to suffer if nothing was done. She also seemed to have the view that it was the wolves that were mainly chasing after the coyotes. None of the sides were innocent, but he knew from own experienced that the coyote clan was far from friendly no matter if they were approached with kindness or not.

I do agree. Yet, if a pregnant female happened to wander too close by the borders, does it justify using violence against her in such an amount so that she barely survives and lose her children? Is that protecting own borders? It was simply an example, yet it had happened with his sister, and he knew how the loss of the litter had ruined her. Also, two innocent members of Dahlia were slain on their own pack land a little while ago. Is that protecting own borders? It was not. Those two males should not have had to suffer because of what a lone wolf had done. These are mere examples, and I have more of them. I am not saying Inferni is the only one to blame for the harsh relationship between us, however, they are far from innocent.
