It was near dusk when Ralla felt the cabin-fever overcome her--she could not wait another hour or so to go out, nor could she resist the urge to find those in the tribe who she called family, and check in on them. Her activities with Dawali and seeing to the well-being of the tribe--that which Maska, it seemed, rarely cared about, instead focusing on conquest--had taken most of her time, and she feared that she would soon be alienated by her own design if she did not deign to perform the pleasantries with her family rather than just the necessities.
Taking a cloak and wrapping it about herself, the white wolfess walked inconspicuously to Mizu and J'adore's hut, avoiding all Guardians along her way lest she be found suspicious. Ever since Anu's escape, Maska and the Guardians had been very wary of her, and she didn't doubt that she was being watched very carefully every now and then; the fur on the back of her neck would prickle, and she would cease whatever she would be doing to return home. For the moment, there was no prickle, so she continued on--luckily for her, there were only so many Guardians to contend with. Finally she came upon her sister-in-law's--for Ralla did call her that, since she considered J'adore and Leon her brothers anyway--door, and knocked quietly. "Mizu? Hnadvga nihi nahnai?" She only wanted to talk--she needed assurance where she could not ask of her daughter, and wanted to know how her kin was faring in the heart of the village, where her own tree hut was situated on the edge.
