So here is Aleo's joining thread! He wants to join the coolest pack ever, he is in Optime, but how do optime people submit? To they lay on the ground and roll over so their bellies show? I am confused. Usually I have my characters shift to lupus and then submit.

The hybrid's legs hurt as he was walking through the area. His purple eyes scanned the terra, searching for signs of other beings. He had a tattered old backpack with many patches slung casually over his shoulder. The man had  spotted flowers around the beyond borders. The flowers were rather colorful and sure caught his attention. He had heard of the Ichikans, the peaceful pack in northern Nova Scotia. The coy-wolf had been walking, day and night, stopping every so often to nap and eat. Aleo knew of the peace-loving people, And what he searched for was acceptance and forgiveness. It hurt to remember Dresden. It was home. Until his family were slaughtered, there was too much pain for him to handle on his own. Feelings and emotions always had a way of catching up with him, the memories branded into his mind. As he approached the borders, he felt a pang of uneasiness. Aleo had once murdered someone and crippled the other. The hybrid didn't want other to think he was a violent man, he was protecting and avenging his family. Things would be okay if he got accepted here. Maybe he would have a good life. He hoped that Ichika was a forgiving pack, that they wouldn't judge him for what he had done in his past.

He sat right by the borders, no one would be there if he didn't call. For the first time in ages, he let out a long howl. It sounded through the copse of trees, hopefully someone would be able to hear it. He tuned his large onyx audits to the trees, they flickered this way and that at every small sound like the flutter of a bird's wings or the droning buzz of an insect. He took out a sketchbook and an old piece of charcoal and started sketching the colorful decorated territory. He knew no one in Nova Scotia, but he may make new aquaintances or even friends.

OC: Hiya! WC:3+

There was so much for the male to do, and it seemed that with so much to do and with so little time that the male often had task that carried on though the next day. The male was just thankful that he was not going at this task alone. Jace had always been a near and dear friend to him, and even though they were all brothers and sister in these lands. Jace and he had a bond that went deeper than that, maybe it was because the two had made this trek together from the Valley that they both had called home.

Borders was what he was on topic with doing now, the male wanted to help out with checking them and making sure that there was no hurt wolves that had been damaged in the ongoing war outside of the pack lands. The male was glad that the pack was not involved with in this war in any manner. Though, the silver male had no issues playing safe haven. For those who wanted to get away from the hate and anger that came with the war. Then there was the loners looking for a home for the winter, or maybe longer.

A howl rippled through the trees pulling the silver male’s head to the echoing sound that was coming though the tree tops. The blue eyed beast smiled as his heart filled with a joy that no words could say, as he made his way to the borders. Seeing the male there, he watched him with the paper and pencil, the male couldn’t tell what he was trying to draw or anything like that, the closer he moved thought he more clear the male came into view in his one good eye.

With a cough the silver male looked to the rouge, his face hinted at a smile for he was pleased to see a new member at the borders. ”Rouge, are you lost, or more simply enjoying or lands view?”

Word Count :: 000

Aleo's ears twitched as the sound of approaching footfalls came his way. A voice accompanied the sounds of padding feet and the male looked up. He listened and put the small piece of charcoal down, a ghost of a smile threatening to cross his lips. Aleo was surprised that someone had answered his call and his tail thumped the ground contentedly. "Hello. I'm not lost, and yes I am enjoying your lands, they are well decorated with wildflowers. The real reason I have come to your borders is that I am seeking a good home." After his small speech, he smiled and wagged his tail gently at the male standing before him. He knew that Ichika was a friendly people and he respected them for that. His smile faltered and his ears pinned against his skull as he started to tell the next and more unpleasant part.

"Although I almost deserve to be turned away. I took the life of another soul in the past, and not so long ago did I crippled and left a canine handicapped. I was protecting my family and I failed sorely." He turned his purple eyes back up to the man before him and sighed. Aleo was never a violent soul, he didn't like to kill for pleasure and for sport, he wanted to protect his family from cold-hearted souls wanting to go out and hurt someone. "A-all I want is forgiveness for my actions, that someone won't judge me for past deeds." The boy's tail stopped waving and he hoped that the man wouldn't jugde him.

WC:358+ - Sorry for the wait!

The silver male was thankful that the rouge has stayed at the border, though it wasn’t like Noah would attack him and run him out. Maybe a good talk to sure, but he wouldn’t hurt him unless he had to. Noah rubbed the bottom of his maw as the loner told him that he wasn’t lost, more so seeking to find a good home. Well that was the best news he had heard yet today. If this male was looking for a pack, and a family that came along with the pack, well the male had surely came to the right place. ”We can do!” The Sawtooth male said in a chipper tone. The silver male was exited to think about another being coming into the pack lands, breathing more life into these wonderful lands.

The next words that came out of the male mouth made Noah drop his jaw. Death and killing someone was not something that Noah or the pack looked highly upon it. The pack rules were far more laid back then what he was upon that topic. ”Well now…” The male was looking something to say to make the loner feel better. However there wasn’t much he could say about it.

The male sighed as he looked to the male, with a soften look to his eyes, he hated that he was allowing his heart to rule him. ”Tell me more…” He had to know if he was worth keeping around or if he should excuses the loner to find another home.

”About you” He spoke slowly trying to figure out what to do next about this issue that had been shed light upon. If this lone male was even going to be thought of to be a member of the pack Noah needed a name to tell him that he was a brother with in the pack. However, that wasn’t the only thing that Noah needed to know about. ”And the killing” The Sawtooth male sighed as he sat down. He had a gut feeling that this was going to be a long time spent at the borders with just this one joiner.
I failed at this post, forgive me!!
Eyes looked sadly at the male in front of him. Aleo smiled weakly, but he wanted the man to know that he would never hurt someone in Ichika. "I came from Germany. After my family was killed." He wanted to tell more, but didn't want to waste the Ichikan's time. His ears flicked back when he was to tell more about the killing. Aleo was afraid that he would be turned away. "I was protecting my pack. I couldn't make any peace with them. The biggest one had tortured my little sister, she was bleeding and helpless. He held a knife to her throat, I tried to make a deal with him so he could give Marika back. He slit her throat before I had a chance. I lost it and attacked. I ended up killing one." His voice showed that he wasn't proud of his deed but was rather ashamed and grieving for his family.

He turned and looked at the male, "I did what I thought was right at the time. If your pack or family or someone you love was threatened, what would you do?" The question was not meant to be a challenge, but it was to make his point.
Oc: It's okay we all have them post! :3

Noah listened with interest to every spoken word that the dark male had to say. He knew not to interject or say his thoughts till the story that the male was going to tell him was over, after all if Noah was to decide how far this male was to make it around the pack borders he would have to know everything that there was to know about this killing that he had spoken of.

After Noah was sure that the story was done for, the silver male dipped his head down, as his good hand came up to his maw rubbing his chin, he had to think and weigh everything out. Killing was not something that the pack really wanted within them; however the killing was just and fair. If truth be told Noah was glad that someone had courage to stand up to someone who was killing the family.”Why they attack?” If there was a just reason then maybe the male could find a reason why not to feel slightly jealously that he was able to kill what was hurting him the most.

”Regret doing it?” Noah slightly was pray that the male would at least have the heart to tell him no. By the sounds of the story if Noah had the gut to perform such an action with such noble reason he would not want to ever look back and regret the actions that he could have taken.

Big Grin Aleo seems so sad...I thought that I'd put him in Ichika because I had another character in InH, but she had to move to Anathema because she had found a mate and he lived there...I guess I couldn't resist the Ichika awesomeness!

The man smiled and his tail wagged slightly, his emotion on his face remained grim. "Well... There was a conflict between my family and the rogues. It was over land and wealth. He raised his eyebrows at the male's next question. He had to think. "Well...Yes and no. I regret taking a life, they might have had a family. But in some ways, I don't. My sister and my family was killed by people who were bad. I could've helped them." He spoke quietly at his words, everything he said was the truth. He would never lie to anyone, not to the male in front of him. This was hard to talk about the killing, but in a way it felt like a relief. He looked up and his dark tail wagged. "I never did get your name. I'm Aleo. Aleo d'Lanri." He felt bad for not making normal conversation and later he would apologize.

Aleo gave a small smile, the dark male felt slightly anguished. His knowledge of the Ichikans wasn't that much, but he did know that they were fair and peaceful people. If he wasn't allowed in, maybe he could make friends with them in the unclaimed lands. Aleo's scars would always remind him of his past. If in case he did get accepted, Aleo could protect the lands from any harm, so that no one would have the same fate as his family. Aleo was sure that the story was over, that it was all that he could tell. Coming to the borders of Ichika no Ho-en was his way of finding a new start. To make his life infinitely better than it was. His deceased sister Marika was missed by the onyx male, she was his best friend. She wasn't like the other girls in his village. Most tried to impress the boys by somehow improving their looks, but Marika seemed to favor going on hunts and learning the ways of survival. He could talk to his sister about anything and she would understand much better than anyone else. But now she was dead. Nothing but ashes, something gone forever. Aleo shook his head to clear the saddening thoughts and turned back to the male. "What are some of the Ichikan ways?" He inquired while sitting back down on the ground. He crossed his legs and folded his hands in his lap. This was the way of listening and if the man before him spoke, Aleo's eyes and ears were on him.
OCTonguelease edit your post to leader needed. :> Noah can't help but to be very protective of the pack lands. WC::3+

The male give the other being the right he had earned by being truthful, and letting his tell answer his questions. ”Well...” Noah started, this was tricky. The male did kill someone and one of the reason he was thankful to be in these pack lands was because it was peaceful. Noah had left the Valley where his father had tormented and raped just about every female that walked in the lands. ”I understand.” He did, if someone (well other then close family) came and was trying to hurt Jace, Temo or Rendall the male would snap and given the fact that this was an act of being a hero.

”Oh Noah.” The male said as he had been caught off guard, he had to find the logic and the truth in whether or not to escort the male away from the lands to make him seek forgiveness from the lands that he wanted to live in. He looked into the male’s eyes, wanting to see if they where shaded over.

Standing there looking at him, the male took his only good working paw, taking one of the claws as he drew it up to his own lips ”Shhh…” The male whispered, he wanted to see deep into him. After a few minutes of standing there in utter silence the silver male lifted his mouth to the sky calling for one of the leaders. ”We are family. “ Noah had a very hard time with talking, and trying to explain everything about the pack was going to be hard for him. ”We are all o..on…one” It was hard for the male to tell other’s about the ways of the lands. ”Ichika is feeling” That was really the best thing that he knew how to say. Noah had been here since the pack started, and he planned to die in these lands.

At the echoing call, Razekiel whistled for the blue roan that always lingered nearby. The stallion came upon him with leaves and twigs tangled deep between hand-laced beads and strings Razekiel had put there himself; with a laugh the Seiryu only shook his head and slipped up onto Lark's back. As the great stallion trotted, Razekiel busied himself with untangling the excess of Mother Nature from the blue roan's dark strands of hair, and hummed pleasantly to himself as they moved.

Razekiel picked the last of twigs from the near-black mane as he slipped from Lark's bare back, a smile already set on his features as straw-hued eyes gazed between Noah and the stranger with him. "Namaste, hello, hello," the coyote beamed, quick to extend a hand and sunny-eyed grin to the stranger. "My name's Razekiel, man; welcome to Ichika! What can I do for you two chill groovedogs, hmm?"

oops posted in the wrong account again...
Aleo listened to Noah and nodded, he understood. Ichika was a place of kinship. Everyone was family, a place of peace and happiness. After Noah had called and his voice echoed into the forest, soon enough the boy heard footfalls of that of a horse and luperci and was surprised to see a man standing before him with an outstretched hand. A grin split across the boy's face and he took the new stranger's hand. The stranger told Aleo that his name was Razekiel."Hey. I'm Aleo. Nice to met you." Aleo shook the man's hand and stepped back a little. When the coyote asked what they were there for, Al looked at Noah and then continued. "I was thinking of joining your pack. I kinda thought it was right for me." Aleo nodded and then looked up at the two. So far everything was fine, Noah hadn't judged him for what he had done in the past and the coyote was friendly towards him. Maybe Ichika would become the young man's home. Maybe he could get his new start.

Aleo had many worries though. What if he was turned away, it was unlikely but it could happen. What if he couldn't make friends? Aleo hadn't always been very social. While the coy-wolf's head worried, he had noticed the large stallion that Razekiel had ridden in on, Aleo hadn't always been around them, but had a certain liking towards them. He reached forward tentatively, looking to Razekiel to see it was alright. The dark male's voice was soft and soothing as he petted the stallion's neck and ran his fingers through its mane. "Hey...It's alright." He smiled and turned back towards the coyote and Noah, he looked at the older coyote and smiled. "What's his name?" Aleo wagged his tail slowly and stepped back to where he originally was.
Let's skip over Shannon for now, and she can post again when/if she's able. I'm going to get you titled up so you can start posting with this character (start with the initiation task thread, o'course ^^) but let's still finish this, okie dokes? :3

Razekiel smiled at the stranger's calm, easygoing response and seeming disposition; too many of the Ichikans he knew were a bit on the anxious and troubled side, and sometimes the coyote wondered if he should make more of a habit to publicize his marijuana sprouts and go about sharing the wealth with the uptight populous. In his mind he shrugged it off, deciding that connecting with their spiritual sides may have helped, and certainly their residence and membership within Ichika no Ho-en would aid in that somewhere down the line. At least, Razekiel could only hope it would, as long as they were willing.

"Righteous, real righteous, man! We're always looking to add to the family." Razekiel straightened up and extended a great grin, then before he could continue the man introduced as Aleo reached for the blue roan that had accompanied the red-masked Seiryu. Razekiel raised a hand to stop him, but it was too late — Aleo would learn quickly that the stallion had great personality, in that the blue roan almost immediately neighed a disapproving sound and swung his enormous skull at the dark-furred stranger. Even if such a swing contacted, it would do little more than shove the male away with a bit of extra force. Thereafter, the horse trotted begrudgingly behind his coyote "master" and snorted.

Razekiel could only utter a small laugh and a defeated shrug, moving to stroke the stallion's dark nose to comfort him. "Sorry, man," he gurgled. "I like to call him Lark. Smarter than he looks... seems he wants me to be more possessive of him than I am, yeah?" The coyote gave the horse a look of subtle scolding, then turned back to Aleo.

"I trust Noah's judgment, man, and since you called me, I'm guessin' you're approved of," he said. Glancing briefly to the Sawtooth for agreement, the coyote raised his right arm into the air and nodded Aleo in encouragement to mimic. "Repeat after me, stormcloud: I am a — err, your last name —, I am an Ichikan. I seek love in my heart, knowledge in my mind, and wisdom in my spirit. I will love my fellow Ichikans and know them as family to the fullest I can; I will devote myself to my duties and learn from my work and the work of others; I will try my best to embrace all walks of life, faith and love. I understand that if I devote myself to love, knowledge and wisdom I will learn my path to true personal happiness, and find my place in the circle of life."

HORRID SHORT POST....

Aleo dodged the great stallion's headbutt, ducking just in time. Razekiel shrugged, an explained his horse. "No problem. I should've asked first." He added a good natured chuckle and stepped away from the horse. He wasn't afraid or even angry, just a free spirited horse could be a little too free spirited for him. As the coyote man raised his hand and said the words of a creed, a promise. " I am a d'Lanri. I am an Ichikan. I seek love in my heart, knowledge in my mind, and wisdom in my spirit. I will love my fellow Ichikans and know them as family to the fullest I can; I will devote myself to my duties and learn from my work and the work of others; I will try my best to embrace all walks of life, faith and love. I understand that if I devote myself to love, knowledge and wisdom I will learn my path to true personal happiness, and find my place in the circle of life." Aleo imitated the man, repeated all of the word of the creed. His right hand was raised and he spoke truthfully and clearly. After the words were finished, all he could think about was how he could be a member of the Ichika family. There also was someone within the pack that he needed to see, a woman by the name of Shiloh. Who he had feelings of fondness and closeness with. She made him smile. Soon he would be an Ichikan. Someone who was allowed within the lands and able to do what they want and work. The boy gave Razekiel and Noah a smile of gratitude and thanks, happy that they had come to his call and were able to answer and help him join.
Welcome to Ichika no Ho-en!

Welcome and congratulations! You are now free to begin posting as a pack member, even if your joiner thread is not yet completed.

Your first task as a member of Ichika no Ho-en is to create a thread within the InH subforum performing the as directed by the Ichikan who accepted your character. This thread must be within the Ichika no Ho-en subforum and must have at least one other InH member within it. Feel free to create an all-welcome thread, and refer to the link given above or to the leaders in PM if you have any questions! Smile

Of course, there's plenty more to do, too!:

 • Look through the Ichika territories for interesting environments and scenarios to create threads in.
 • Your character has been titled as a Dai-In, but if your activity is consistently good, they can be promoted up into the Specialized tier of ranks, where your character will have a job that is theirs and theirs alone for the entire pack. Take some time and look through the and get a feel for where your character might fit for when that time comes!
 • Glance through the pack game and get a feel for what you can post about that will earn your points towards things like icons, titles, player-drawn art and more!
 • If you haven't yet, take some time to thoroughly read through Ichika no Ho-en's and policies pages so you may get a better feel of how the pack works and what you may or may not want to aim for with your character.

Please don't hesitate to PM the with any questions or concerns you have at any time! If you would like to request posting tables, avatars or signatures made for you, you can politely do so in the Talents subforum. If you're feeling lost or confused about the game, don't hesitate to post a question in , or to seek out a Mentor! We're really happy to have you with us, and hope you'll enjoy Ichika no Ho-en!
