War Wounds

Terra wandered outside her lands. She was glad to be in a pack, marking the border where she left. It was good to have a place to belong to, even if that place was injured. Many of her pack members were hurt from the war, leaving Terra restless and out of place. She had no great skill in healing, though she was talented in creating humor. Terra was always up for a good story or, even better, a good trick.

Hoping to come across something of that ilk Terra wandered through the area. She startled a squirrel, which immediately began scolding her. Terra snapped at it playfully, not really wanting to kill. She wasn't hungry, and if she was going to increase the food for her pack she'd need something bigger than a squirrel. The squirrel darted up a tree, angrier than before. Terra didn't bother listening, as she found most prey only said pointless things. In fact, she didn't really understand low speech at all, except for the obvious like the squirrel's anger at her.

OOC: Hello!

White paws padded against the ground, sending up little spumes of dirt as they lifted. Wheatley however, was not looking where he was going. Uh oh. In his little daydream, Wheatley failed to see the tree infront of him. The White hybrid collided with the tree, a sickening thud loudly announcing itself. A dazed Wheatley stumbled back, confused. Where did that come from? he though, shooting a puzzled look at the tree. Wheatley shrugged, and was about to continue on his way when he heard the angry chattering of a squirrel further on. His imediate reaction was to think of a giant rabid squirrel, and his alarm reactions set off. Wheatley whacked his head against the tree again, telling himself he was being silly. "No, I'ts not a giant rabid squirrel, It's not" he scolded himself, feeling quite dazed after hitting his head twice.

Promptly, he sat down, looking at stars. Wheatley snapped at the stars, but his teeth didn't connect with anything. "Wha?" he mumbled, trying again. Once more, he failed. Wheatley then gathered enough common sense, and pushed away the dizziness, so that he had no fear of losing his lunch. Turning, Wheatley stood up, and set off in the direction of the squirrel noises. Unfortunately, he didn't get far, and was forced to seat himself once again, as the dizziness returned. Wheatley concentrated on not being sick, while looking around him for any leaves or plants that'd make him feel better. Wheatley spotted one that looked like a clump of grass. He moved forward, and plucked it out with his teeth, being very careful not to damage the roots.

He parted the roots, and then found what he was looking for. A little bulb sat in the centre, and Wheatley grasped it with his teeth, and pulled. It came off, and Wheatley flipped the patch of grass over, and placed the bulb on it. Then, looking around, he picked up the bulb and ate it. After, Wheatley re-planted the grass, and sat down again, having completely lost his train of thought.

Terra had never seen something so ridiculous. A stupid wolf had just run into a tree, forgotten what he was doing, and ate grass. The circumstances were completely ridiculous. Seeing him sit down and stare at the sky Terra burst into laughter. He was a complete fool! Wanting to play with him Terra darted behind the tree, peeking out to see if he'd notice her. Darting back she crept around, coming behind him.

More smoothly than she used to Terra moved into her optime form, managing to miss hitting the branches. Glad for the break she came closer and closer to the wolf. Silent she got ready, before finally flying into action. Hitting the dazed wolf she grabbed him in a hug. Caught you!

Wheatley was starting to feel better. slight twinge of the nausea remained, but that didn't matter. He turned suddenly as laughter sounded close by. Now on edge, he stood up, ready to defend himself if he needed to. Wheatley the spotted a face peering round one of the trunks. He blinked, and it was gone. Shaking his head, he seating himself again. "Must be seeing things..." he muttered. Blue eyes looked around, hoping he really was just seeing things, and it wasn't some kind of predator.

Wheatley was caught off guard by the luperci suddenly jumping from the trees, and grabbing him. Wheatley was not in a good position to escape. He did hear her comment of 'caught you' and he was surprised. Was she playing a game? Wheatley tried to untangle the confused mess in his mind, trying to quickly arrange the facts. He was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. "Er... you caught me, but would you mind getting off? Your squashing my paw." Wheatley said, now seeing the point in the game.

Done investigating the strange wolf Terra bounced back. The wolf seemed rather strange, not something she particularly liked. Worried Terra backed off. She was in the middle of nowhere, and quite lost. Tangling with a strange wolf was not a good way to deal with things.

Happily Terra ran off, chasing after yet another squirrel that caught her attention. She really should head back to her pack. Really.
