Thoirni had finally decide to make the trek to the territories where soon enough the new pack would belong. He had stayed in Crimson Dreams as long as he could, hoping that the pack might grow on him but it seemed that the pack was a place of ghosts anymore. His gold shot sapphire eyes were wide open as he padded across the lands. He knew that the territories he would be crossing were many miles of lands and that there was little chance he would return back to the lake and the pack lands that surrounded it. His silvery pelt with the strange highlights of gold and ebony didn't seem to stick out as much now that the seasons were changing and the chill of winter was setting in. He lifted his head up and gazed about the lands.
A sigh filtered from his lips as he watched the sun filter through the trees. The skeletons of leaves long withered in the season past desperately clung to limbs of trees long since dormant for the cold bitter moons to come. His eyes were slowly scanning the lands, looking for life in the woods, wondering if the wolves of these lands went into hybernation like the rest of the creatures of their silent and chilly world. It reminded him of home, or a place that was once home, now a distant memory of a territory that was just starting to have life breathed back into it's heart and soul. He wondered if the pack even existed anymore or if the challenges of the world had finally resulted in the fading of his family and bloodlines.
He shook his head though, the thoughts were foolish. He was heading into the lands that would become his new home, his new family. New blood was something that these lands needed, but the old traditions and ways of a true pack were what he was looking for. He frowned at the idea as he took down the old trail once more. It was a strange idea but he knew that he could find comfort in the pack that was dawning in the northern lands. This thought made him quicken his pace, hoping that sooner than later he would find himself in the lands where he would belong.
