The sun came up slowly and sluggishly as it always did when clenched in the winter's steely grasp, still the winters here were much more different to her own, where blackness reigned for months on end and the sun slept for forever it seemed. But Jace was up well before the late rising sun and was out and about in the cold dark of the morning long before anybody else, she was a morning person, an early bird. She looked to the sky as the golden orb finally saw fit to peek tis head above the horizon and bath her in its warmth and light, by this time Jace had been up for an hour or more and had some of her rank jobs completed. Now it was time for one of her many border patrols, sometimes she saw Saluce upon her morning walks and the two would greet each other as they passed ways, she was glad to have such a strong man upon the side of Ichika, he was a most welcomed ally, especially with them being so close to the coyote clan and the pack of slave keepers.

A frown crossed her face as she came across an unfamiliar scent. The doggish woman paused in her patrol and sniffed more closely at this scent trail that was unknown to her. She held within her mind a catalog of every person she had met and their smell to go with it, it was an instinctual thing requiring not much effort on her part. But the scent very clearly passed from neutral territory and inco Ichika no Ho-en's claimed land, there was scent of another member of Ichika nearby that could have indicated someone escorting this person into their lands.

Her teeth were set on edge and the fur along her spine rose along with her hackles. How dare they! Well now whoever it was had brought forth the wrath of Jace upon their heads, it would only be a matter of time before she found them and chased them off. She stalked along the trail angrily at a fast walk, her knives unsheathed and held at the ready for an aggressive loner. It didn't take long for her keen eyes to spot the stranger in the distance and she shifted her gait to that of a fast jog, finally catching up to him with nearly a breath out of place, her growl was a defensive one,

"You are wandering around claimed territories, state your business and leave." The flash of fire in her eyes would not go unnoticed. This man was small, an entire six inches smaller than she was herself, and Jace was considered small in her own right. The second thing she noted of him as she waited for him to respond was his lack of color within his fur, there was no pigmentation at all, an albino perhaps then? The edge of her lips were drawn back to reveal the tips of ivory fangs. The only reason she had not attacked him straight away was that she was aware there might be extenuating circumstances as to why he was lost within their borders such as Frodo had been.
