((Okay, morning meditation time with InH. Big Grin ))

He had caught wind of this winter festival. He wanted to go, wanted to see what it was all about. He’d told Sky where he was going, then packed some dried herbs, a few salves and ointments, and a handful of books he rarely referenced anymore and carried them with him to the sugar woods. He’d left early one night, and arrived just before dawn. He’d moved at a pretty quick pace, wanting to see what they had and hoping to trade for useful things for his family and his pack. He was actually feeling eager to socialize outside of the pack, away from the mournful glances and accusing eyes.

As he arrived, a series of tents met him. He passed each one, glancing in each one. He peeked into the one that clearly was scented by the D’Arte wolves. He could see Draw d'Merchant sitting in a corner, sketching something. He glanced over, a warm smile on his face as he greeted Tal. The snowy scholar returned the friendly greeting, setting his pack in a corner. He’d return for his goods in a bit, but first he wanted to wander around. One stall caught his attention, a stall with a lot of little trinkets, gems and beads, and other things. Tal noted the position of the stall, and continued. He poked his head into the Cavaleri tent, but didn’t see his brother.

After a moment, he saw an elder hybrid leaning on a staff of sorts. Tal approached him with a friendly smile. ”Hello. I’m Tal, from Cercatori D’Arte.” The male looked at him, and though his body seemed frail, his eyes had the sharpness of a canine in it’s prime. The stranger smiled, an enigmatic smile. ”Macarius, from Ichika no Ho-en. You look like you’re in need of assistance, Tal. Come with me, do as I do.”

Without further speech, the elderly hybrid led the way to Arachnea's Revenge lake’s beach. He gestured to the sand, a silent request for Tal to seat himself. Tal, bemused by the strange male, could only comply like a pup. The grizzled male seated himself facing the water, the walking stick across his legs. Tal watched as the male closed his eyes.

Tal shrugged, but faced the lake, where the sun would be rising soon. He closed his eyes. Everything seemed to slip away as his breathing merged into a pattern reflecting that of the other male’s. He was aware of every sound, every scent, every physical sensation. Yet even as he was aware of these things, they faded away. He could feel the tension and the pent up anger and grief fading, easing its hold on his heart.

OOC: I know it's meh, next post will be better.

Jiva was fresh out of a fight from a cougar not too long ago and it still shook him up. He had also had far more on his mind now than he did before the cougar attack. He was just looking for a place to sleep, and then he was told of a nice place to live. The young man didn’t take these things lightly, so he didn’t answer anything right away, in fact it would probably take Jiva a little while to decide to join if he did decide to, but for now he would enjoy his time, even while making the decision of going to a pack that sounded very ideal to him.

He had heard of something going on from word of mouth, and he was curious about it. It was like a strange festival thing that everyone gathered together and well he didn’t get straight answers about that, so he let his curiousity get the better of him. He found it, and quite easily too. It wasn’t hard to find a bunch of tents scattered around with the scent of wolves all over. He watched everything around him. Eager to look at every single thing, though he didn’t have anything, and didn’t feel he heeded anything, but to look wasn’t going to hurt him. He moved from tent to tent when a wolf of white passed by, but to Jiva could have swore it was grey and he started following at once. Had his father come back? Why hadn’t he gone looking for Jiva? He was sure the wolves of the miracles pack would tell him of his son’s return right? Well he followed the man until he had stopped and sat with an elder man. No that wasn’t his father. It was just some whie wolf.

He turned to leave, but stopped short, what were they doing? Of all this stuff all around them, they sat here, facing the sunrise, and just closed their eyes? Jiva sat down, then waved a paw at the man’s face, then did the same to the elderly, who automatically caught his hand mid movement. He said nothing though and Jiva wanted to panic, but he felt a calm he had never felt before, yet it was natural. He grumpily tried to pull his arm away but the man’s grip was strong, he wasn’t doing jiva any harm. He blinked but refused to close his eyes. He looked at the white man for help, pulling on the arm.

“Come on I just wanted to know what you were doing let go!”

Jiva’s young voice said quavering a little. He pulled his arm again, and the old man let go, Jiva rubbed his wrist, though it didn’t hurt but he didn’t move. Jiva made to ask the question he had stated, but the man made a motion with his hands that meant for silence then motioned for Jiva to close his eyes. He did, but nothing happened. Jiva scowled.

“Ok this is real boring, I don’t even know what you’re doing.”

Jiva said preparing to stand up.
