Dalgina stood in front of the fence, watching the funniest looking creatures she'd ever seen. These must be horses. They were big, had a big head and long neck, and looked pretty fierce. They also smelled like food. Dalgina quickly had that disproven though as a large black horse came stampeding over, sending her yelping as she backed off. To make matters worse, a large gob of spit was now in her fur. She hadn't thought of it as gross until she felt exactly how thick and icky it was. Dalgina let up a wail of protest before returning to her stand at the fence. No wonder they were taken as protectors. Dalgina wondered which one was Hermes. Probably the black one, with how scary he was.

A small horse trotted close, head sticking towards Dalgina. At first Dalgina had been prepared to flee in case of more spit, but the horse had simply bleated at her before licking her face. Giggling the puppy had returned the favor, licking all over the horse's face. Staring into the horse's eyes Dalgina spoke up. Will you protect me when I go adventuring? The horse stared back at her calmly. It was smaller than the other ones, but that was alright. Dalgina was small too. That made them perfect to go exploring together. Convinced the gaze was agreement Dalgina worked through the fence. The tiny horse bleated at her again, sniffing her fur. Dalgina trotted through, carefully avoiding the horse she thought was Hermes before reaching the gate.

Dalgina reached as high as she could on the gate, pushing on it. Nothing came of it, though the little horse did did bump her from behind. Turning around Dalgina stared at the horse, an idea forming. She pushed the horse over to the gate, which did so quite amiably. Dalgina began pushing at the horse, climbing up her. Lots of bleating and shifting followed before Dalgina reached the top. From there she undid the lock, opening the gate. Pleased with her success Dalgina tumbled to the ground. Happily she pulled the gate open and trotted out. The small horse stared out after her curiously. Come on. We're going exploring! Dalgina's tail wagged happily as the tiny horse hesitantly followed her out. Tail held high Dalgina began walking towards the woods.
