[M] Wandering around
#21
Hadley seemed surprised when she said she would protect him but she meant it. He looked up just as she hugged him again. He didn’t flinch but he was still noticeably uncomfortable. When she let him go she realized she should probably just keep space between them to make him more comfortable. Hadly winced as she began to talk about her past, probably out of sympathy. He listened quietly to her rant as she went on and on. She couldn’t stop herself from just blurting out everything, for some reason she just comfortable around him. Isa felt like she could trust him, even though she had just met him.

She didn’t notice when Hadley came closer once she finished. Isa had been trying to calm down. Her eyes widened as he hugged her. She would have never guessed he would hug her. He seemed to only want space and there he was, with his arms around her. Isa stood up to try to make the hug less awkward. She wrapped her own arms around him and buried her face in his shoulder, trying to keep herself from crying. ”Well, well, well. Looks like you found yourself a little toy.” Isa’s eyes widened in fear. She turned around quickly, standing in front of Hadley. She couldn’t speak. She stood there frozen in place, not sure what to do.

Isa rose into his hug, embracing him back. It was so strange, the way that she clutched at his fur. Tears didn't come, even though they should have. He patted her gently when a chilling voice rose through the air. Toy... Hadley stiffened with shock. No. Not again. Whirling around he found himself facing something that was very difficult to see. Isa positioned herself in front of him, and Hadley realized how serious she was about protecting him. Shudders ran through his body as he realized that this thing wanted to toy with the two of them.

Isa wouldn't be the only one following through on the vow to protect though. Gently he reached her, pulling the wolf back towards him. He looked up at the figure, standing as strong as he could. The scars in his body ached, remembering all the games he'd been dragged through. S-she's not your toy. His voice was strong despite the slight quaver in it. He wouldn't let her be used like he had. He had been someone's toy once, the most painful experience he'd ever had. To subject Isa to it was a fate unimaginable. Pick someone else.

Hadley’s body stiffened at the cold voice. His body shivered making Isa step back a little to press herself against him to try to let him know it was all right. Hadley reached for her and pulled her closer to him. Isa heard Hadley speak up and her eyes widened in horror. She knew this spirit was her father and she knew what he did to those who spoke out against him. Isa grabbed his thigh and gave it a small squeeze, trying to warn him.

The spirit moved closer to the two of them, stopping barley a foot in front of them. ”No, she isn’t my toy. That little bitch you have there is my piece of shit daughter.” The spirit became a little more visible, and Isa could see her father’s large black form. She could swear she saw a scar on his throat from where she bit down, ending his life. He kept his focus on Hadley, his red-orange eyes glowing as he glared at the man behind Isa. ”Don’t waste your time with this useless bitch. Do me, and the rest of the world a favor and kill her now.” His words were sharp and sent a chill down Isa’s spine. She knew Hadley wouldn’t listen to her father’s bullshit, but then again, her father did seem to be able to control others well. ”If you don’t kill her now she will probably end up treating you the same way your mistress treated you, if not worse.” Her father smirked, he knew just how to torture others without having to lay a finger on them. Isa became furious. She would not stand to have her father push Hadley around like that. ”Leave Hadley alone you fucking bastard! He know’s I would never hurt him. You’re just trying to push him around like you always did to me and I wouln’t have it. Do whatever you want to me but leave Hadley out of this!” She glared at her father, lips parted into a snarl as she growled menacingly at her father.

His thigh was squeezed, causing Hadley to look down at Isa in confusion. The poor wolf seemed as terrified as he was whenever Amy was mentioned. The ghost moved closer, his dark form becoming more clear. Hearing that this was the father she'd just finished telling him about Hadley growled. The noise surprised him, and he looked around as if expecting someone else to be responsible for it. No, it was just him. Being asked to kill her Hadley just stared at the spirit blankly. He wasn't a killer. He wasn't even a fighter. Hadley barely knew how to defend himself, and even then he felt guilty when there was the chance of harming his attacker.

He knew Amy? This ghost knew Amy? Wildly he drew away, wishing he could escape. Unfortunately the knowledge that the spirit knew Amy brought Hadley's slave training to the forefront. Don't run, don't struggle. Just obey. He couldn't hurt anyone, a simple shut down shell. While Hadley wouldn't attack others, any other request made of him while in this state of mind would be followed through perfectly. Slow shudders ran through his body as he stared at the ground, waiting for the command that was sure to follow.

The spirit laughed loud, a menacing, evil laugh. ”So you care about the boy. How sweet. He turned his attention back to Hadley, watching him draw into himself as shudder ran through him. He knew just how to hurt his daughter. He wanted her to suffer and feel pain again. Isa turned her back on her father and went to Hadley. She put an arm around his shoulder and tried to calm him down. She never wanted to see him like this. It was all her father’s fault. He hated her and since he could no longer physically harm her he would do everything he could to hurt her by hurting her new companion.

She was furious again. She had Hadley sit down and turned to face the spirit again. ”I told you to leave Hadley out of this! I’m the one you’re pissed off at so take it out on me you fucking bastard!” Her father simply smirked as he looked back at the boy then back to Isa. He snarled at her when she spoke back. ”Shut the fuck up you worthless bitch! I am fucking sick and tired of that voice. I should have killed you the day you were born.” He glared at Isa and then a menacing smile crossed his face. ”I am taking my anger out on you though Ismeme. I’m hurting you by hurting him.” He moved closer to Hadley and stood right in front of him, lowered himself so his muzzle was at the boys ear, and spoke with a growl in his voice but still quiet enough that Isa would not hear. [b]”Fuck her.”[b] He didn’t know for sure if he would do as he said but based on how the boy was acting, he assumed he would.

Something warm touched him, a comforting presence in the dark world he found himself flung back into. It was barely perceptible, forced back into that dark place in time where soft touches meant nothing, easily turned into pain with Amy's sense of humor. He let himself be guided to sit down, like a giant bendable doll. There was no light in his eyes, no true spirit. Hadley had almost been broken, never to live a true life again when he'd been rescued. Sending him back over that edge was far too easy, the small steps he took barely perceptible.

The shivers through his body grew more intense as the spirit grew closer. It was so cold, so malicious. It still wasn't as dark as Amy. The voice was quiet, a command. It lacked the elegance and emphasis his other orders held, but it was a command, and one he'd been given twice before. Hadley glanced up, wondering if that truly was what Isa wanted. If he was to have sex with her that meant she was a customer, and to be treated with absolute respect. Isa seemed angry more than lustful though. Shyly he reached out to touch her before pulling back again, questioning.

Isa could tell her father had sent Hadley to a dark place. She knew that dark, depressing place. It left you feeling alone, worthless, and empty. She hated her father for doing such a thing to Hadley. After she had Hadley seated and yelled at her father he moved to Hadley. Isa could do nothing since he was a spirit. Isa realized there was nothing she could do to stop her father; he would do whatever he pleased. She wasn’t able to hear what her father said to Hadley but assumed it had to do with her since Hadley looked up at her and reached out to touch her before he pulled his hand back again.

Isa thought he had been reaching out to her to either comfort her or himself, not knowing what was actually going on. She reached out to him, her fingertips brushing up against his arm. She wanted his suffering to end, for him to be happy, but it seemed her father was planning something for him. She saw him get close to Hadley again and whisper something that was just low enough for her not to hear. ”You see? She wants it.” A low growl rumbled in his chest. ”Take her.”

Isa's hand reached out, trailing along his arm. It was a warm touch, one he rather liked. The female didn't seem happy though, worry and pain flashing in her eyes. No, this wasn't lust at all. Amy's friend was mistaken. Isa didn't want him. Again the spirit moved close, and Hadley shuddered. He didn't like this at all. He wanted to get away from Amy's friend, to remember if there was more than this nothingness that surrounded him. As he was right now Hadley couldn't even remember that he'd declared himself free, finally taking that step by himself.

The voice was wrong. No... Hadley looked up at the wolf. She was so gentle, so worried. She looked nothing like all those others he'd slept with. Mustn't hurt the customer. The words were complete nonsense for those who didn't know the trader he'd been broken by, but Amy's value on the customer was enough to keep Hadley from ever displeasing someone introduced to him as a guest. Thinking was difficult, and his eyes fell to the ground, allowing his mind to retreat to where it went when the pain got too bad, hoping that the voice would go away soon.

Hadley shuddered as the spirit moved closer to him still. Isa hated it. Hated seeing Hadley like this, as if he were lost. He took a step forward and spoke up. Isa was taken by surprise when Hadley called her a customer. A customer for what? Isa didn’t know but she didn’t like it. She pulled her hand back quickly and stared at Hadley, trying to figure out what was going on. Hadley seemed to be struggling within himself and he looked down at the ground. Isa became furious once more, finally fed up with her father’s little games.

Isa grabbed onto Hadley’s arm, and pulled him behind her. She would do anything she could to protect him from the spirit. She snarled menacingly. ”Leave Hadley alone you fucking prick!” She growled at him, keeping her new friend behind her. She wouldn’t put up with her father’s shit any longer. ”Why should I? He’s nothing. Worthless. Just like you Ismeme.” He chuckled before speaking again. ”You two do make a good couple; damaged goods.” And just as soon as he had come, he vanished. Isa was glad he was finally gone. Her body slowly began to shake uncontrollably from all of the emotions that were built up in that short amount of time. Isa’s legs buckled under her and she fell to the ground. She sat there as tears began to form.

A small whine slipped from Hadley as the only assurance he had pulled away from him, leaving him untouched and alone. The shudders finally stopped as he fell silent, finished struggling with the fear. He wasn't always shaking with fear. No, more often than not he simply stayed still and quiet, out of the way of the rampaging dog. As his mind insisted that was where he currently was Hadley adopted the old habits, still as a stone and so silent one would think he was dead if it weren't for the soft breathing coming from him. Something grabbed him sharply, jerking him. He didn't cry with surprise, his eyes simply widening slightly before he complied.

Growling came from before him, and Hadley looked up sharply, searching for the source. He had to make sure that he was out of the way of the anger, of the strikes that would destroy everything before them. Just before he'd been sold Hadley had witnessed such destruction, hapless animals that appeared in Amy's line of sight shredded and left to decompose on the trail behind them. Sold? The wolf collapsed to the ground, and Hadley stared as tears began to form. He might be broken, but he was still himself. That core part had survived the destruction. Without prompting he moved, getting a blanket and draping it around her. He didn't touch her, too nervous to do so before sitting silently before her, eyes measuring to see what else he could do to help.

Hadley whined when she pulled her hand away from him. She wanted to reach out again but she was trying to figure out what he meant when he called her a customer. A customer of what? Either way, Isa didn’t like it. She went after her father and put herself between the two men, protecting Hadley. Once her father finally seemed to leave Isa collapsed to the ground. Her body shook as her fur bristled. She was absolutely terrified, furious, and felt the urge to burst into tears. All the emotions she was feeling swelled and became more intense, making her actions unpredictable.

A blanket was suddenly draped around her and she jumped. She looked around, eyes wide and noticed it was only Hadley, trying to help. He sat in front of her, looking at her. She stared back, eyes wide and body still shaking. She didn’t know what to do or think. She finally gave in and lowered her head to look at the ground as the tears began to flow. She hadn’t felt like this for over a year, only this time it was worse because Hadley was pulled into the middle of it as well. She didn’t look up. She hated other’s seeing her cry.

The female's body just kept shaking. Her wide eyes were glued on him, and he felt he had to stay still, give her some small focus that she could see and stay with. Was she cold? How could he stop the shaking? Hadley moved a little closer, wishing he knew what to do. Her gaze dropped, and he watched as tears pooled onto the floor. This wasn't good. He had to cheer her up somehow. Unfortunately he didn't have the slightest clue on how to go about doing that. Wildly he looked around, searching for something he could give her to help.

A large fur was thrown onto her this time, and Hadley paused as he found a stuffed bear. He gently passed the toy to her. Hesitating, he finally decided that it would be okay to touch her. Strong arms wrapped around her thin frame, holding her close. Rocking back and forth he wished that he knew what to do, how to comfort her. He felt so useless. If only his master was there. He was sure they could tell him what to do. His mind was a mess, confused and mixing the past and present together.

Hadley stayed still when Isa’s eyes focused on him. She tried to calm down, but failed miserably. He moved a little closer to her and seemed to be trying to figure out how to help. He put a large fur on her, probably thinking she was cold because of all the shaking. Hadley held out a stuffed bear and Isa looked up and stared at it. She reached out and took it from him. The tears had stopped coming but her face was expressionless. She felt completely numb from the inside out.

Slowly, Hadley wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. He rocked back and forth, rocking her with him. Isa slowly began to feel better. She dropped the bear and wrapped her arms around him, holding on tight as if she were afraid he would disappear and she would be left to deal with all of it on her own. She was terrified to have to be alone at the moment; she wouldn’t be able to handle it. The mixed emotions that were erupting from her would have destroyed her if she was left alone. Isa buried her face into Hadley’s chest and breathed in his comforting scent. ”Thank you Hadley.” Without thinking, she kissed his cheek and buried her muzzle into his coat once more.

The bear he'd passed to her was dropped down. It was really a shame. Hadley supposed it had been a silly idea, giving her that. Amy would definitely have selected something much nicer for the sorrowful customer. A small shudder ran through his body. Then again, she wasn't a patient creature. Unless Isa proved to have worth Amy would have sneered at her weakness and left. Hadley stiffened up as arms snaked around his body. They squeezed him so tight. Hadley was painfully aware of the placement of her claws, brushing his flesh. Hopefully she wouldn't hurt him.

Her face buried into his chest, and Hadley felt dampness rubbed into his chest. It was drying slowly relieving Hadley that the tears had finally stopped. The thanks didn't occur to him, feeling that he was simply filling his purpose, yet to snap out of the slave like state that he'd entered upon the ghost's actions. His cheek was kissed, and Hadley hesitated. Did she want him? The order still rang clear in his ears. He was to sleep with her. He wouldn't do it if she didn't want it, but did she? His hands stroked down her back softly, wondering if she would respond.

Hadley’s body stiffened when she wrapped her arms around him. He seemed frightened again. She wanted to show him she wasn’t going to hurt him. Isa loosened her grip on him, hoping he would relax. ”I’m not going to hurt you Hadley. I promised I wouldn’t.” With her face buried into his chest, the tears remaining on her cheeks dried slowly. After Isa kissed his cheek Hadley’s hands stroked down her back gently. A small shiver ran down her spine and she looked up to meet his big brown eyes.

Isa’s fingers gently slid across his chest, brushing over the scars softly. The wide range of emotions Isa was feeling left her feeling confused about what to do. All she could think about though, was how much she enjoyed being in Hadley’s arms. Her body seemed to react on its own while her mind wandered. She leaned forward and kissed his muzzle softly as her fingertips slid across his chest. She wasn’t aware of what she was doing her body just seemed to act and Isa seemed to like it to an extent. She didn’t know what would happen or what Hadley would do but for the moment she just enjoyed having his strong arms around her.

To say that Hadley's eyes were empty was an understatement. Inside there was the small occasional flicker of life, revealing that there was someone still alive inside, something still fighting against completely collapsing. Hollow fear and hopelessness was the remainder, Hadley's spirit hidden deep inside him where he couldn't be reached, untouched and uninjured. Isa's grip loosened slightly, a shiver of delight running through her at his touch. It seemed that she really did want him. Hadley had been given his order He would fulfill it.

His scars were touched softly, a bare prickle of acknowledgement. He looked down at him, expression gently as he set about figuring out how he would please her. A kiss pressed into his muzzle, and Hadley returned it. Pulling back he licked her nose softly before leaning back in, letting himself trail kisses down her neck. Her fingers seemed to enjoy exploring the rough texture of his body, scarred as it was. Hadley's own hands had found her hips, the other wandering up to tickle her stomach before sliding up to her breasts, hand resting there for a beat before sliding around her neck to pull her closer.

Hadley returned her kiss. She hadn’t expected him to since before it had seemed as if he hated being touched. A small smile appeared on her face but her eyes were dull and lifeless. Isa was both emotionally and mentally unstable at the time and she wasn’t completely aware of what was going on. She felt the wetness as Hadley licked her nose before he leaned back into her. A trail of kisses ran down her neck and Isa let out a breath as she tilted her head back, giving him better access to her neck.

She enjoyed tracing her fingers over his scarred body. For some reason it made her feel more comfortable. Hadley’s hand reached down to her hip as the other tickled her stomach. She let out a small giggle before his hand moved from her belly and slid up to her breasts. He let his hand rest there for a moment before he slid it around her neck and pulled her closer. She had no objections to being closer to Hadley; she wanted to be even closer. Her own hand slid around his neck as she pulled him into another kiss, her other hand rested on his chest for a moment before sliding down his abdomen to his belly.

Isa's head tilted back, allowing him to access her neck more fully. He kissed along the curves there, tasting them and doing his best to give her as much pleasure as possible. It was his job. He let her hands wander over him, doing his best not to shudder each time she touched on a scar, feeling completely uncomfortable with it. Pulling away was impossible though. He had an order, and had to follow it. A giggle escaped from Isa, bringing a ghost of a smile to his lips before it disappeared again, blackness surrounding him.

She seemed to enjoy the new closeness his movement had created, hitching her hand around his own neck. Another kiss was pushed on, his tongue briefly touching hers, tasting her. Her hand slid down from his chest to his abdomen, then moving even farther down. Hadley's hand, the one not tangled in her hair holding her close, moved down to her thighs, gently touching there. He was hesitant in his movements, unsteady as he himself didn't want this, though he was aroused, and unsure if he would be able to give her enough pleasure.

Hadley kissed along the curves of her neck and Isa loved each gentle touch. He shuddered every once in a while when her hand passed over a scar and she assumed it brought back old memories and figured it best not to touch them again. She noticed the very small smile that appeared on his face when she giggled before it quickly disappeared. His tongue touched her own only for a moment when she kissed him. She wasn’t entirely sure what was happening. Isa was probably about to have sex with a man she had just met, not to mention it would be her first time. Was she sure she wanted it? No, she didn’t really want it but her body wasn’t listening to her and seemed to do whatever it wanted.

The hand that had been on her hip moved to her thigh as he gently touched her there. He seemed to hesitate with each movement and Isa was unsure why. Wanting to know what was wrong, Isa stopped for a moment and looked up into Hadley’s eyes. ”Hadley? What’s wrong?” Her body screamed for her to keep going and not to stop but she at least had to make sure he was all right.

The customer's movements against him ceased, though his own movements didn't. He had a goal, and would work until it was accomplished. His hand slid over her carefully, seeking for where he could give her pleasure, make her satisfied so the order would be filled. That was the only existence he had, serving others. He filled it protecting Selene, pleasuring Sebastian, helping Wayne with the horses. Everything was for others. He had no worth outside of that. Amy would be pleased to know that he had accepted his place so well. Maybe it would stop her from hurting him.

Hadley stared into Isa's blue eyes. His expression was gentle, but his eyes were empty. No words came in response to her question. There was no answer to give. He was just a tool to be used after all. A slight bit of pain could be seen, but that was it. Hadley leaned forward, kissing her gently. His lips remained pressed to her for a moment before pulling back. Licking his lips Hadley looked down, wondering if he was doing this right, or if he would be punished for being too forward. His ears were flat to his skull, submission in every part of him.
