Keep Moving

Signs of spring were all around him. The world was returning to life, and it was as if the harsh winter had never existed. Maybe here, in this new land, it had never happened. That would be nice. A place where Tharin could forget about his past, pretend that the famine had never happened, the mission had never failed. That would be nice. That meant throwing everything away though, and he couldn't do that. Tharin couldn't forget about the thrill of running with his pack, of playing with them, the pride of being trusted to help bring them food.

Stopping to shake the dreary thoughts loose Tharin rolled in the snow. The coolness of the melting pile was nice against his thick coat. Standing back up he shook himself, panting happily. That was good. He just needed to stop thinking, and everything would be alright. Continuing forwards Tharin looked around the new land, wondering what would happen to him now. He didn't exactly have any plans, no mission to complete, no pack to serve. He was on his own for the first time. He could be his own alpha, but Tharin didn't have a clue what exactly to do with himself. He had lived his life for his pack, after all. With just himself, life was very confusing.
