For sister Sage! Figured she could encounter Clover somewhere between SL and InH. <3

It had been months since the girl had last breached the security of her Family’s borders, but to do so now did not incite fear into the petite coyote girl. In fact, Clover found excitement bubbling within the pit of her stomach as new scents came upon the fresh, gentle breeze. Encouraged by subtle patting along her broad neck, Daisy increased her trot until the two were racing deeper into Drifter Bay at a full gallop. As the wind whipped the long tendrils of both gold and silver, soft laughter filled the air and a radiant smile blossomed upon the Lykoi woman. The winter was long behind her, and spring beckoned her with an open palm.

Though her guitar had been left behind in her room within the Ruins, Clover found that her sense of adventure elicited a musical response. So the hippie child instead broke out into a simple tune she had learned back in her youthful days amongst the traveling, peaceful souls of Juniper Peace. The melody was one that brought upon a strong episode of nostalgia, one that made Clover feel incredibly content with where she was. She missed her family dearly, but somehow the memories sufficed in resurrecting that warmth she felt when she was within their presence.

And so even though she had left Salsola behind her Clover would be reunited with Mother Earth for the afternoon, and she already felt completely at home.

wheee! she might be a little awkward. also, i assumed clover disguised her scent? if not, i'll change it. sorry this is long, wtf?

Since meeting up with Anu in the Sugarwoods a month ago, Sage had found herself feeling more comfortable leaving the mountain. Ichika was nice, but its numbers had dwindled, and the few that did remain were none she was close with. Lately, she'd been rather anti-social, and so rather than trying to form relationships with them, she took a ride.

Lennon navigated the rocks and odd angles of Halcyon Mountain with knowing ease, something Sage was grateful for. His large hooves and muscular body gave him an advantage against this terrain, and she loved him for it. Cooing kind words to him in low speech and patting his neck, she urged him westward. The Lykoi made certain to skirt wide around Inferni, but wide ambers kept vigilant watch for any she might know. She longed for contact, and seeing Max had been wonderful, but she doubted many others of Inferni would feel the same. It still hurt to think about.

The Ichikan found herself steering her stallion towards Salsola. In encountering them recently, she had remembered that her sister had joined their ranks not long ago. The tawny coyote worried for her blonde sister. She also remembered Sirius' words. "I can assure you that she has my protection," he'd said. Her brows furrowed as she wondered if he'd held true to that promise. The thought of losing another family member made her stomach turn.

It was quite a few miles on, long after she'd stopped for too long to gaze at the blooming patch of sunflowers, when she heard a faint sound. Large chocolate ears sat up, and even Lennon's head turned to look for the source. She couldn't be sure, but as she strained, she thought she knew the direction. Sage followed slowly, but her nose could not find a scent. She frowned, but followed still. The voice became more and more familiar as she got closer, and though she'd been sure she was just getting herself excited, Sage was really sure that it had to be her.

Lennon found her first. The scent of her mare had been stronger to him, and he'd followed it. Sage couldn't believe her eyes when she saw her, sitting beautifully atop a pure white thoroughbred. She was much smaller than Lennon, but he didn't seem to mind, and snorted happily when they got closer. "Clover," Sage barked happily, breaking into her sister's singing to stare at her, amazed. "You sing it beautifully." She had missed that song, missed Juniper Peace. Most of all, though, she'd missed her sister.

You are correct! And sorry for the delay on this! <3

As they rode further away from Salsola’s borders Clover found that she felt an unbelievably strong sense of freedom. Although she was quite content living amongst the kingdom of her Thistle King, she now realized that perhaps winter’s confinement within the borders had made the Lykoi woman begin to feel flighty. An excursion like this would put her at ease, and at the day’s end it was almost certain that she would return home with a renewed appreciation for her Family’s realm.

It was Daisy who alerted Clover to the approaching company, whinnying softly as her trot seemed to lessen some in haste. The childhood melody only ceased when it was interrupted by words from a strangely familiar voice, and soft yellow eyes looked to find the sister that resembled her the most. If not for the heart shaped mask that adorned Clover’s face or the difference between golden locks and those of warm chestnut, the two girls could’ve easily been mistaken as twins.

Daisy circled closer towards Lennon, bringing them to stop by the duo’s side. Sage! Clover cried out in elation, holding her arms out as if beckoning for her sister’s embrace. As I’m sure you still do, she responded, sliding from her mare’s back and giving her a gentle tap on the rump to signal she was free to wander away for awhile. It’s so lovely to see you, moving now to really give her sister a hug. There were many things the girls had to catch up on, and Clover could not have anticipated a more perfect way to spend her afternoon. That was, if Sage wasn’t set on other plans.

derp, hope this is okay! <3

Sage couldn't remember the last time she'd sung, let alone the last time she'd chosen that tune. It felt like it had been years; maybe it had. Still, a grin muscled her lips into a steep curve, pearly whites showing proudly. Sage dismounted and ran into her sibling's embrace at full speed. Shaking her head, she muttered, "Not half as well as you, sister," into Clover's neck. "I've missed you so much. It's been months, have you been alright?" Her concern became more pressing as they broke apart, creamy fingers lingering on auburn arms as amber eyes hurried over her. Sage would never forget Sirius' promise to keep her sister safe, but it did not ease her worry for the blonde. "I've been so worried, Clover," she breathed, looking around to be sure they were alone. "Do you know that some of your pack-mates stole our llamas? They attacked us, Clover. Surely you've heard..." she trailed off, her eyes searching her sister's for answers. Why had they done it? Were Clover's intentions the same? The tawny Lykoi's gut wrenched at the sudden thought of her sister, turning dark like Sirius. When she pictured his sneer and those dangerous green eyes, her stomach twisted even more. The man was far too cunning for his own good, let alone her sister's. How could she trust the snake to keep her precious sibling alive, when he was so keen on starting fights?
