Cat up a tree

Restless, itchy, irritable gha! The young male snarled in complete frustration as the tingling underneath his skin refused to stop. The lights danced about excitedly and he snapped at them, enraged by their presence. He moved himself. Again. For the fourth time in the last half hour. It was driving him crazy and he had become short with his family, preferring to run off by himself so he could wallow in the relief of his emotionless states. Often he would deliberately go and hide somewhere near people just to sink into that state of merely existing, it was almost a blessing as the frustration washed over him again.

Resigned to the peculiarities of life and the ways of growing up the boy sought to end his annoyance within physical activity and set off at a quick lope, passing homes and shops until he exited the village called Thornberry and came out into Cercatori's forests. There was no rest here either but at least he wasn't surrounded by the oppressive black cloud that seemed to follow him inside its confines. Nose to the ground the boy sorted his way through the forest, following whatever scents struck his fancy, going from one direction to the next, seeking an activity t9o engage his mind and hopefully get rid of the restless feeling.

ooc: lol... I figure she's not that high up maybe 10-15 feet she's just thinking dramatically.[/b]

The view was wonderful; absolutely wonderful she kept thinking as she looked around from the branch of the large pine, its branches needled only at the edges. It was a difficult task climbing the tree it had taken her a good half hour to get up there slowly but surely she made it to a decent vantage point. She figured out the restless feeling fairly early for the female had been waiting for that day for ages. She could see their home in the distance the flower fields further to the South; [i]bright and colourful.
The wind blew colder up and the branch beneath her was rough.

When she shifted earlier that morning she was surprised at how painless it was, how the feelings of stretching her long slender legs was such a relief as was the spread of her fingers. When she stood she was sure she could immediately start dancing but the slight pain still in her ankle was bothersome and her balance was way off. Her first steps landed her against the large pine. Since she couldn’t dance just yet she wanted to try the next wish she had and that’s how she ended up the pine tree. She looked at her hands seemingly small and delicate compared to her mother’s she thought. Her brown hair was delightfully long and she had spent some time running her fingers through it before standing earlier. Then she saw him, her dear brother. She called out and attempted her first wave. Honrin! She yelled delightfully but as she waved her hand from side to side she hadn’t notice her balance shifted along the branch until she slipped to the side. She screamed a different sound from the usual yelp of her lupus form as her hands grasped the tree branch. Her leg managed to hook around as she fell to the side but the other dangled beneath her.

Honrin! She cried out more desperately but felt a slight slip as she yelled. She started to squeak his name scared the breath of yelling would weaken her tight grasp. The tree was so rough her new muscles so weak she was sure she would fall sure she would die if she fell from that height. Honrin… Please help me. She hoped he had heard her the first time. She squeaked in fear as a her she felt a claw scrape a little against the bark of the branch.

Excitement thrilled through him as he picked up the scent of his much loved sister, it leaped here and there through the underbrush in the way that Pandora usually moved, he had no knowledge that she had recently shifted and the distance between the scent spots were actually steps rather than her jumping from place to place. He quietly trailed them, slipping through the underbrush as though he had never been there at all. The forest seemed to respect his wishes to remain unseen and covered up his tracks with falling leaves. The boy was an enigma all of his own.

He started as her voice suddenly came from somewhere, he couldn't see where. The hawk eyed male looked about himself trying to spot his elusive sister. It should have been an easy job considering how she was colored. But for the life of him he couldn't find her. Then a scream tore his gaze upwards and he watched with horror as she slipped from the branch she perched from in a glorious long limbed form. He raced forwards towards the tree from which she dangled,

"PANDORA!" His claws scrabbled uselessly against the bark, the paws not arranged right for him to climb up. His tail straight out behind him as alarm washed over him. He could see her, high above him, slowly losing her grip. A fall from that height possibly might not kill her, but it almost certainly cause injury, great injury. His anger and frustration with his natural form that was of no help at all boiled over and he swore violently as he tried again in vain to pull himself upwards. Their mother would have reprimanded him with harsh words if she could hear the vile language he was coming out with.

Her pleading cries tore at him, she was in danger and he couldn't help her. The helplessness and desolation that filed him were all encompassing, for the first time in his life, he couldn't save her, he was powerless. "Pandy..." Rage flooded up, at himself, at the world and whatever had possessed her to climb the tree. A strange quiver rolled down his spine followed quickly by a wave of spasms. The lights and shadows darted around him agitatedly, the lights glowing so brightly that he had to shut his eyes because it hurt to look at them. His body felt like it was boiling, stretching and flexing in ways it shouldn't. Was this it? Had all the restless days and sleepless nights been leading up to this moment?

"I'm coming Pandy! Hold on." His words were distorted coming from a throat stuck between forms. He tried to will in on, force it to go where he wanted and felt an answering burn from his paws. It didn't hurt per se but it was very uncomfortable feeling his muscles move without his say so and the very fibers of himself rearranging. His panic fueled the shift, powering it onwards and forcing it to go faster than it would naturally on its own. Minutes passed by with aching slowness until the brightness of the lights decreased and he opened his eyes. His paws were resting further up the tree and his whole body was tilted differently. Long hair drifted down into his eyes, flowing down his shoulders. The point of view was weird and strange, and also made him slightly dizzy but he had no time to adjust himself to this new form. He flexed his hands, long sharp claws now erupted from the tips of the digits, wicked and dangerous looking. Fangs jutted out from his upper jaw and his lips, he could feel the teeth as they pushed aside his flesh.

The dream that had dominated his short life was now a reality, he was large and tall, much taller than his smaller four legged form. Paws that could grip, and arms that could pull. All the tools needed to help him conquer this. Again his claws dug into the bark but this time they hooked in tight, he pulled himself upwards and felt another dizzy wave pass, he didn't look down, knowing that to do so would be monumentally stupid. He pulled himself up to the first branch, some seven foot off the floor. He was directly underneath her now and could do a good job of catching her if she fell. He wobbled uncertainly as he stood upright upon the branch, grimacing as it swayed under his weight. Slowly he reached out and caught hold of her leg, moving it to his shoulder and giving her a platform to stand on.

"Push yourself up then sit down on the branch" He kept his voice calm and almost serene like, it wouldn't do for her to hear just how scared he truly was although once she was on level with him, she would smell it.

Her panic was massive as she tried to calm the more her hands felt like they were slipping. The more she tried to keep still the more it hurt. Please hurry. She whimpered. When she heard his voice it was like a distant cry, the sound of her blood pumping far louder than anything around them. Time passed so slowly every breath held until it could no longer be held. Her fingers slipped just slightly with each intake of air forcing her to cry out in fear. Her arms began to tremble in pain as the minutes passed and she tried to pull her leg up a time here and there. But the wrenching feeling in her hips would worsen only forcing her to slip further.

I’m going to fall! She cried out as his weight shifted the tree. She had hoped it was his weight anyway and not the branch giving way. What worse than falling but having a weight fall on you as well. She was sure her doom was near. When the warmth of his hand touched her leg her eyes flew open. She hadn’t realized she had been keeping them closed her mind so rampant with other senses going wild. She wanted to jump into his arms and hold on but as he spoke it came to her senses that she must do as he asked. She pulled with the little strength she had left and pushed with the aching leg until she could feel her weight shifting over top the branch once more. Her eyes immediately fell upon her brothers when she faced downward and she couldn’t help but be awed by him.

His body was so grown and massive such a huge difference from his smaller four legged form that already impressed her. His pale muscle set in new bunches, he was her brother but yet not, he was a new creature to explore as she knew herself to be as well. She smiled softly relieved as she hugged the branch in a strong straddle. You saved me. She said in her new voice more melodic and kind as her bicoloured eyes shifted back and forth between her brother’s amber glowing orbs. He was always there and she knew he always would be. She pushed up slowly to sit on the branch feeling that laying upon it was far more unstable with the new center of gravity. When she felt set and solid once more her hands gripped tight and tail wrapped she looked down. She wasn’t as high she felt she was and she couldn’t help but laugh. What a dumb idea. Her face felt heated and she tucked her chin into her shoulder shyly as she spoke.

sorry for fail

He shook with the force of the relief he felt, and a large huff of breath hissed through his teeth. He remained bound to the tree by the left hand that held on so tightly, claws digging deep into the wood. Hawk eyes watched intently in case she should slip and begin to fall again. The gentle swaying of the tree was truly beginning to make him feel sick now, the back and forth motion stirring up his stomach and churning the contents uneasily. Despite this he was able to answer her,

"Of course I did." Even his voice was deeper now, coming from a larger chest. He was skinny and tall, training would probably fill him out, make him larger, he would grow some more he presumed, he wasn't fully grown yet and his paws and head were still slightly too large for the rest of him. He swallowed again heavily and struggled not to look down, this was a little too daring for his first adventure into Optime form and surprisingly he had a strange longing for his four legged form so he was closer to the ground again. His voice wavered ever so slightly as he reached up to her,

"C..come on now. Time to get down." Another order, he wanted to get out of this tree pronto.

He was waiting below his arms stretched forth. She didn’t seem so high up looking down at him. She smiled softly so grateful that he had been there when he did. She slowly very carefully lifted her leg to sit on the branch instead of straddling it. She breathed deeply her limbs shaking from worry and fear. She wasn’t scared in her mind for her brother was there to keep her safe but her body feared pain. Finally she took a deep breath reached her hands forth and let her body fall forward reaching for her brother’s outstretched hands. She knew he would catch her but whether they would stay standing or not had been empty from her mind. It wasn’t until she felt the rush of the slight fall that she yelped lightly in worry of pain. Her eyes never left his even as she felt the urge to shut them tightly.

Honrin was very tense as she watched her move about cautiously. His arms were outstretched still, ready to catch her or even fall with her and cushion the impact should it be needed. Behind him his tail was as straight as it could be, but even still, there was still the kink in the end that was always present. His eyes had surpassed intense and had moved on to burning as he stared at his sister. Most wolves wouldn't look at each other in this way for fear of issuing a challenge but Honrin was not most wolves and Pandora was used to having his sparky gaze upon her form.

He gripped her softly yet firmly as she came down onto his branch, their eyes staying locked the entire time. And then finally she was on the same branch as he was, it took all his will no to shake like a leaf as he held her tightly. Now they just had to get down from this last branch and they would be safe. But as Honrin began to slowly push her toward the trunk a heavy wind struck up and sent the tree's limbs swaying. Panic overtook him again as their limb bounced and Honrin felt the grip of his feet slipping. Reacting without thinking the male pushed Pandora towards the trunk hoping she would grab on out of instinct. That act was the final thing to push him off balance and he toppled backwards off the branch to the floor below, landing upon the grassy ground with a muffled thump.

The air left his lungs as he hit the ground with a loud wheeze, star spots of color bursting in front of his eyes as his head hit the floor. But he was okay and mostly unharmed. The boy sat up with a groan and stretched out his new arm and hand to rub the growing lump on the back of his head.

OOC: Crazy week! I gotta tell you about it when I get the chance. Pandora basically does a fancy little backflip... a little sign of her future grace XD

Pandora felt she was almost home, in her brothers new arms. Nearly there. She sighed almost in relief in her head. The shock of what was to come was beyond her but something within her took hold. She didn’t know what it was how the action had come to pass but it did. Maybe her mother’s blood or something different born within her but as she felt his push her outstretched hands immediately grabbed upon the branch. Her body fell back but her legs instinctively kicked back with it. She could feel her claws drag along the bark of the wood the sound a soft crunch and crack as they scraped. She felt her shoulders wrench and released the limb of the branch and time seemed to cease or slow. She could see her brother below, not far as his body hit the ground and realized she was barreling straight for him. Her feet opened from a line of grace like an acrobat upon a trapeze to spread enough to land just at the edges of her brother’s hips. Then time sped up in a rush of pain as her ankles felt impact. Her body fell backward landing half on the ground and the writhing legs of her brother. The breath left her as a rib was surely bruised among other parts stretched and pained. She whined in her sudden agony and writhed in her shock of the event. That day would definitely be remembered. When the pain slightly subsided and she rolled upon her belly. She gasped and look back at her brother quickly forgetting her pain as she kneeled beside his chest. Scared to touch him her hands only touched the tips of his fur. Honrin! Are you ok? Her bi-colored eyes searching for injury before setting back upon his face.

awkward accidental kiss that has them all o.o whut happened

He groaned in the back of his throat, a throbbing headache already starting to appear. He barely had time to shove himself backwards before Pandora landed square on top of him. Fortunately not completely on top of him though and she fell backwards onto his legs. Another jolt of pain as her weight came down on his shins but luckily no permanent damage just bruising. He grunted and flopped back down onto the grass, his golden eyes closing as he tried to gain back the breath that had left him.

He forced out a low laugh,

"Ha! I think... so. Nothing broken I think. What about you, are you okay?" His voice shifted to concern for her, dismissing his own discomfort and pain for hers, hawk's gaze reopened and focused upon Pandora and the pale male pushed himself upwards again. His vivid eyes gleamed in the low sunlight, as intense as the sun itself as she watched his younger sister.

Pandora looked into her brothers eyes his enchanting gaze and she started to lean forward involuntarily drawn to them like a moth to flame. She hadn’t realized she had gotten that much closer to his face until it was too late. The soft wet surface of her nose pressed against his and the thin layer of her lips met his. It was strange; she had pressed her nose to his before as she did all her siblings when she was happy. But this was different. Her hand was against his chest her heart beat swiftly from the fear of him being injured, his own beating just as swiftly beneath her hand. It was all very different. Then as the cool feel of his nose against hers seemed to last forever she felt her cheeks heat. She turned her face away and let out a light giggle. Why was it so weird? She did not understand it but the feelings in her were exciting and new. She looked to her brother once more almost tempted to do it again. She wanted to feel that rush to feel that exhilaration. I’m happy you’re ok. She responded finally her eyes shifting towards the grass near her knees. She ran her fingers through the hair on his chest in short quick strokes. Her body was on edge from the events that had transpired in the short moments before.
