Big Grin

She had been spending more and more time away from the packlands, trying to avoid running into her sister. Ember was angry with her and fearful of her at the same time; she wasn't naturally a very dominant wolf, and couldn't force Firefly to adknowledge her rank like she should have been able to. Instead her sister just laughed at her. She didn't know which of them was larger, but that shouldn't matter. It was all in their personalities. And she was tired of everything.

She had thought of going to Iskata and asking for advice...but didn't see what good that would do. If Firefly found out about it, she might taunt Ember more, saying that she ran to her mother for help. No. She had to do this on her own.

The girl entered the borders, emerald eyes searching about. It was late afternoon, nearing sunset. Maybe Firefly would be in bed.

Firefly had spent the day exploring the outskirts of a newly claimed territory, their own mother's pack. She hadn't believed that her mother actually had it in her to form a pack much less help run it, but all her snooping and sneaking had shown that the packmates seemed quite happy and relaxed around eachother leaving her a little baffled. She knew her mother had always been a dreamer but she'd never thought that a dreamer could actually get something done much less make something of their dreams, her mother had proven her wrong there. She would just wait to see how long her mother's dream would last now.

Shaking the leaves from her fur as she was at the trailend of her journey back home she sighed as she caught the scent of her packlands. She really didn't like the fact that here she was showing up back home with nothing to do. Everyone else was probably just getting to sleep or just waking up. She stretched out her long legs as she began to quicken her pace, knowing that the large sunning stone in the vineyard might still hold some warmth if she was fast enough to get there.

What she didn't expect was the form of her sister standing smack dab in the middle of the border as she turned around a bend. A snarl escaped her maw as she had to bank hard to avoid running into her dark hued sibling. Losing all her momentum she glared at her sister, knowing now that there was no chance she'd make it to the stones in time having run upon Ember. "Hello Ember." she spat as she moved to walk around her, willing to completely ignore the bitch if it got her to where she'd rather be.

But it seemed like she'd run out of luck. Ember frowned when she saw her sister, her fur bristling. She was in her larger, two legged form, so she felt a little more secure than before. It had taken her a while to shift without te pain, but now she could go back and forth between the forms without much difficulty. She had been staying in this form for the last couple of days, hanging around Twilight Vale and helping Cercelee.

"I hadn't seen you in a while, sister" She started, unwilling to let her sibling pass, "Thought you died. I was going to have a party and everything." Maybe a part of her wanted this, some big blowout. She was tired of Firefly always getting the upper hand in everything. She couldn't leave for so long and then just waltz back in and tell her what to do.

Firefly was mildly surprised by her sister's suddenly change in attitude but it did nothing to her except amuse her slightly. The thing that did piss her off was the obvious block of her getting off to where she was going. Firefly's eyes narrowed as she gazed into ones that were identical in every aspect except to whom they belonged. Firefly had known that Cercelee was within the borders of another pack but she hadn't believed that her sister was so brown-nosed that she'd mill around those lands and leave the pack to fend for themselves as well. It had been bad enough having their leader missing much less another packmate who'd decided to avoid her own home as well when she'd been needed here even more. She stood there glaring at her sibling for a long moment before she remembered something.

Grinning wickedly she raised a brow at the words Ember had tried to taunt her with. "Funny, everyone else had thought you'd been the one to run away.. Even those poor fools you taunt and tease like you're going to give them something worth while.." She flicked her bangs back from her face and a sly smug smile spread across her maw. "By the way.. I really don't think Lubomir would have been your type anyways.." She left the comment to linger, knowing that the male who had liked Ember had had his hands all over Firefly would be something to add a little fuel to the fire, and of course Firefly had liked every moment of it and she'd do it again if given the chance.

"I hate Lubomir. I'm glad he was with you--more chance he'll pick up something nasty. Wait. He already has...he picked up you!" Firefly was such a whore. Ember didn't know how she'd managed to avoid fighting with her up until now, but was glad that they were doing this. She didn't want to leave until one of them was too hurt to fight any more. Then things would be settled once and for all.

She came in closer, staring at her sibling. "You obviously haven't been around much either, if you had time to do that. Who else is on your "to do" list? Just so I can go ahead of you and warn them"

The remarks just slide off her as she grinned at her sister, her relaxed pose showing how at ease she was while her sibling was so tense and angry. She laughed softly at Ember and shook her head. "You're so pathedic Ember, all heat and no fire." With one flick of her tail she brushed up against her sister and smirked as she turned away, swaggering off a distance and leaning back against one of the old elm trees.

Sighing to herself she crossed her arms behind her head and gazed at Ember with hooded eyes as she smirked. "Well, considering he was looking for you here.. and decided he'd rather have me.. you're wrong." She gazed off in the distance for a moment as she chuckled. "They come after me you know, it's not always my idea... though I'd take credit when I can." She really didn't care if her sister knew everything about her sex life, she just wanted to taunt and tease her sibling until she snapped. She'd show her where he place was.

She couldn't speak any more without Firefly throwing her words back at her. She had never been good at this kind of thing, arguing...not even with Lubomir. Her sister would always get the upper hand in that. So she kept her mouth shut, just staring at her. When Firefly continued to speak she came closer to her, putting her face up next to hers. "Shut up, Firefly. Just shut the hell up."

When Ember moved into her space Firefly snarled and folded her ears back as her eyes flashed dangerously. Pushing back from the rough bark of the tree she'd been relaxing against she bared her fangs at the elder sister and growled. "That's all it comes down to with you isn't it?" She asked as her emerald eyes met the twin gems of her sibling. The growl rising in her throat again as she warned the dark hued fae. "Back down Ember, you know who this will end." She really didn't want to even start this, she'd been trying to move along her way, but obviously Ember wasn't wanting it to end softly tonight.

Her sister was all talk, no action. Ember's fur bristled at the command and implied meaning, and she bared her front teeth back at her. She was so sick of Firefly trying to boss her around--she was higher in the pack than her sister, but her sibling didn't seem to care about that. Ember deserved respect. "Let's do this. She snapped her jaws together threateningly, reaching out to shove the lighter wolf.

Firefly had thought that her sister would have come to her senses and actually backed down. The bronze and cream hued wolf didn't actually want to fight her sister, she thought this whole bickering nonsense was nothing but childish antics. She snarled as her sister didn't back down and as the words dropped from her lips. The snap of her jaws as Ember reached out to shove her was enough to actually take the bitch seriously. This obviously wasn't going to just disappear this time.

She grabbed Ember's wrist as she attempted to shove Firefly back, her eyes darkening with anger as she bared her fangs at her sibling and spat back. "Don't go fucking crying when you get what you ask for then." With those words she thrust her sister away from her and growled as she crouched down to circle her.

"The only one crying will be you, you bitch." She shot. Ember had been thinking about this for a while, this moment. The time when she would tell Firefly exactly what she thought about her and put her in her place once and for all. She was so tired of avoiding the territory, being afraid of going home. Firefly was a big threat to her, and she wanted that threat eliminated.

She kept her head down, watching as her sibling circled. She lunged out for a punch, aiming for her sister's face.

Firefly was through with the small business. Ember knew nothing of what she was and the things she did. Life was nothing more than a playing board and those involved were just pawns. She'd evolved away from being herself, there was two sides to the bronze and cream female, the soft and sweet, though daring with a love for trouble, and there was the one that gazed through the dark mirror. Ember had only ever caught the girl in the looking glass and there was little chance she'd find the real sister she'd once had, as long as she resided in these lands she'd never know what she'd once known.

When the arm had drawn back and suddenly was bursting towards her Firefly dodged swiftly to the side, her sister's blow grazing across her arm as Firefly dug her nails into the other's wrist and twisted her arm back. Snarling at the dark hued woman she brought the wrist back up higher than what was natural before forcefully shoving her sibling away from her. She really didn't care what damage she did to her own blood anymore, Ember had already showed that she didn't care, why should Firefly.

Sorry for taking so long, bby! <3!!

Firefly had threatened her from the very beginning, from the first day she had joined this pack. Joining Dahlia de Mai had been a huge mistake...she could see that now. She should have joined with their mother, or stayed around her until Phoenix Valley was formed....or maybe she should have asked Pilot or Naniko for a home. She had wanted to go to a pack where she would be valued as a member and not automatically recieve entrance because she was a family member. She hadn't even known that Haku and Cercelee were here, only that this was a pack where she wouldn't be judged.

But obviously she had been wrong. A snarl ripped through the air and she looked surprised for a moment. It'd come out of her own mouth. When her arm was twisted she cried out, hearing a snap. But she didn't have any time to look at it or anything--she wrenched her arm from her sister's grips, trying to claw at her face with her other hand. "Fight me back, damnit!"

Firefly's cool calculated watch on her sister's every move was more than just her trying to get the other to just drop the whole fucking thing. Firefly wanted her out of the picture, but not out of the world. Her hard emerald eyes, so like Ember's but so different. The sound of her sister's fury was pathedic in the unknown Sadira's eyes, she almost wanted to laugh. She had no real clue where Ember had dug up this hatred and fury for Firefly. So she'd bossed her around once or twice, she'd been doing it since the day they'd been born.

The sudden snap that rang out as Ember jerked away, causing the bone to break in her foreleg. Firefly growled, her fangs bared at her siblings stupidity, but the moment was over as Ember jerked away from her grip, sliding back as her claws came into play. The older siblings claws grazed her chest, leaving shallow wounds across her flesh as the bronze and cream lady narrowed her eyes.

The scent of her own blood was what had done it. She'd been trying to get her sister to just admit that she was the weaker of the two but it seemed after a short lifetime of being the bottom rung that Ember had finally bucked up and ready to show that she could be something. The words her sister had thrown at her made her laugh, so the bitch wanted her to fight.

Snarling at her sibling she rushed at her, grabbing for Ember's lame arm as she snapped at her sister with exposed fangs, not caring what damage she did to the bitch now. This was what she'd wanted. Wouldn't even stop to let Firefly explain a single thing, not why she was here, not the duties their own mother had asked of her. Just selfish spoiled Ember wanting her way over and over again.

Feel free to PP Ember falling, if you want.

She didn't even care if Firefly hadn't meant for all of this to happen, if she didn't want it. Firefly wasn't the boss any more, and Ember was tired of acting like her sister was her leader, or something. That she had to follow her and do what she said. They weren't pups any more, and she wanted to be free of her once and for all. "Whoever loses goes home in shame...and whoever wins gets their pick of what they want." She said, narrowing her eyes. Her arm hurt really badly...but she was trying to block it out.

Then her sibling was coming at her again, this time with teeth, and she only barely got out of the way in time. If she hadn't, they would have gotten her face or neck. She retaliated by raising her good hand and trying to swipe at her again. Maybe she could knock Firefly over if she rushed at her fast enough....used enough strength.

Firefly snarled, her lips drawing back happily at the words that Ember said, Firefly knew that there was no point in Ember eve offering up whatever she wanted, Firefly would have taken it anyways. The silly stupid fight was just another point that Firefly had to make to show the child her place. Her eyes sparkled darkly as she spat. "Fine, but you'd better start running now Ember. You're not gonna have a home to run to after this..." The growling words were filled with disgust at the older sibling.

The sudden snap as she had flung herself at the sister she never really knew was harsh but the bitch had somehow managed to sidestep her younger sister. Firefly's fangs grazed Ember's shoulder as the older girl's claws snagged in Firefly's fur, just barely catching her flesh. Firefly pulled away from her sibling and was about to play another blow at Ember when she was met with a surprise.

The dark hued girl suddenly seemed to lunge at Firefly with strength that Firefly was actually impressed to see come from the normally sniveling quiet child. Firefly quickly recovered from her surpise as she threw her strength into her sibling, her claws lashing out as she moved down low, attempting to come up along Ember's waist to throw her off balance.

Things weren't going her way. She should have known better than to try and start all of this...she was going to either die or worse...be shamed, and have to leave Dahlia de Mai. She would have chosen dying over that. She fell backwards, her broken arm twisting beneath her, and a scream of pain shot out of her mouth. This time it took her longer to rise, trembling, knees shaking as she tried to stand.

She had to get out of here. She had to. Even if her mind had chosen death her body couldn't agree with it; her legs were moving as she started running, stumbling, her arm hanging limply, most of the feeling having left it now, a deep numbness spreading through that part of her body.

Firefly was upon her as she tried to get to her feet, she knew her sister wasn't going to last, she hadn't expected the fight to have amounted to anything at all and she was right. Ember had proven to herself her worthlessness as a fighter and had lost all bravery in the first show of weakness. Her claws caught along her sister's shoulder and raked down her side as the weaker of the two made to run. She snarled as she narrowed her eyes and gave act like she was going to pursue her eldest born sibling.

She'd crashed through the woods, the noise of her siblings none too subtle retreat lashing across the forest as she seemed to make her way towards the border. Firefly followed her thusfar and stood on the edge of their lands pacing back and forth as she let the fury fade into a dull spark in her soul. Throwing her head back she howled, her voice echoing in Ember's ears as she ran like prey from the hunter's jaws.
