Finding my way

It was strange how things changed. Tauska had been alone for quite some time now and didn’t really know where she was going. So far she had been lucky, not running into any dangers and managing to catch easy meals with rabbits, mice or anything else small that would keep her alive. Her paws hurt from the long travel and her ribs shown through her fur from lack of a good meal for all the effort her body was giving. Unlike most in her state though she had kept her fur clean and glossy, not leaving it under kept as her mother would have gave her a rightful harsh scolding. That is, if she was here.

A heavy sigh escaped her at the thought of the older wolf. Tauska’s mother had died from age itself and though that had been months ago now that death scent still clung to Tauska’s nose. Shaking her head, the Mexican wolf tried to rid herself of those thoughts. It would do her no good to think of them and instead had to focus on where she was at and what was around her.

Trees stood tall around her but a harsh cold wind tugged at her multicolor fur. Typically she would hate such climates but what was she to do? There was no going back and as it seemed the farther she went the colder it got. Why couldn’t she have picked a different direction to take? Turning, the young wolf sat down with her back against a tree in her lupus form. In truth Tauska didn’t even know what she looked like in her optime form it had been so long. But now wasn’t the time to care as her red flecked eerie ice blue eyes looked up towards the sky where the sun hung straight over head. The day was half way over but was there still time left for something new to happen?

OOC: Derp! Wrong character. I'm not used to the account linking. Next post I'll post from Sidra's account. x3

The muddled black and gold female sat against a tree, slowly sipping at a bottle of white whine. A luxury she'd come to enjoy. Her Optime figure covered under her red cloak. Hood up, shading her face from the intense sunlight that shone through the few clouds in the afternoon sky. The wind rustling through the trees creating and eerie symphony around her. She rather enjoyed this weather though. The cold atmosphere made her feel right at home, like she was back in Alaska with her mom and pop. The good days before her life turned for the worst. A long sigh drew from her lips, the best of her childhood days long in her past.

Sidra rose, she should probably get going to find Kativa so they could settle down for the night. They rarely spent a night apart, it was dangerous for a rogue to be alone. Many threats were present in this land. Before she could get moving something nearby caught her attention. A movement to her right. The she wolf lifted her nose to test the air and was met with the scent of another female. Hackles rose the moment Sidra found out she wasn't alone in this forest. She wasn't partial to strangers. Lucky for this wanderer, she happened to be a female. Males weren't treated kindly by Sidra, unless something was in it for her or they'd already gained her trust. Which wasn't' easy to earn.

Ears perked forward as she determined the wolf's movements. The she wolf had come to a stop and appeared to be completely unaware of Sidra's presence. Hackles still raised, the slender creature made her way over to the stranger. Keeping her footsteps quiet and nearly undetectable. Tail twitching intently behind her as she neared the wolf, stopping behind a large tree and peering around looking over female. She was a tiny figure with the colors of the earth, blacks and browns with hints of silver. Sidra quickly came to the conclusion that this wolf meant no harm and came out from behind the tree, holding herself highly above the small wolf. Her opal colored eyes staring sternly down at the stranger. "What is such a petite wolf doing in the middle of the forest. It's dangerous." Her voice was austere, she seemed to snap the last part at the poor creature.

Exhaustion clawed at the she-wolf and her eyes began to droop closed. Ears folding back against her head, Tauska lowered her muzzle as she looked out again at her surroundings. A yawn escaped her, showing off her set of white teeth before they became hidden once more. Slowly she sank to the ground where she curled into a ball with her tail tightly curled around her. Head resting upon her paws, she tried to keep alert but her eyes were becoming too heavy. What if something snuck up on her though?
Just as they had fallen shut a sharp voice cut through the darkness, yanking her free of the fog of sleep. Eyes snapping open, Tauska leapt to her paws and her hackles rose in fear. Ears still pinned, her tail instantly tucked she bared her teeth as her back pressed up against the tree. Eyes now looking upon the stranger as she became more aware, Tauska wondered if this one was a threat. In truth she had no need to feel that way but instinct caused it and at the moment that was what she was following.
The stern voice registered in her mind and the stern gaze that stared down at her didn’t seem threatening just not friendly. Forcing her lip to fall to cover her teeth, Tauska simply stared up at the other she-wolf and waited for whatever was to happen next.

OOC here!

It seemed Sidra had surprised the petite wolf. The earthy figure rose quickly, striking a defensive position with lips curled up over her teeth and hackles raised. A brisk laugh escaped her at the wolf's reaction to her arrival. Of course, tip-toeing up on someone then suddenly speaking would surprise most people. Especially with Sidra's strong voice and proud demeanor. The female looked up at her, eyes wide, as she realized that there was no threat being placed upon her. Her posture relaxed, eyes remaining glued to Sidra's gold and black Optime form. She tilted her head as she looked down on her, waiting for the wolf to respond. But, no words were formed to answer her question. What a strange little wolf. Black ears twitched giving her another chance to answer, but still none came.

Sidra rolled her eyes and crouched to come eye to eye with the four legged female. She tilted her head to the other side, looking straight into the wolf's piercing blue and red eyes. Very pretty ones she might add. Opal eyes blinked back at her as she studied the stranger, finally replying with a softer tone of voice seeing that earthy wolf was a shy character. It wasn't necessary to be harsh with such small personality. "I won't bite love." A bright smile followed her words, her tail started to sway gently behind her. Hackles flattening trying to become less threatening. Sidra put down her hood to reveal her wolfish face and long braided locks.

"Tell me. What brought you here? Are you a rogue?"" She tried her best to keep a kind tone with the shy wolf. Generally she wasn't nice to most people, but seeing as the wolf was of her gender and didn't appear to be threatening, she cut her some slack.

ooc I'm sorry it's short. Trying to get back into this after traumatic week

Tauska tensed as the wolf lowered itself to be eye level with her. She still never said anything, her watchful eyes never leaving the figure. A softer expression and words were offered along with the hood being taken off and so Tauska figured she best speak now before offending this stranger.

“My name is Tauska” she replied.“I’m a loner in search of a home”

It wasn’t the most detailed sentence but it wasn’t lacking any of her intentions either. It was merely the straight truth in which that was all that Tauska knew how to do. The deceptions or any other manner such as that did not ever occur to her. She was not raised to be that way and only being around her mother had not allowed her to be that way. And so the young girl was simply innocent but oh how quickly that could change if she was to run into the wrong person.
