She was an adult, and with that came responsibility. She already worked at patrolling the borders, though now her journeys actually completed the trip around instead of simply falling short of that, ending with her falling asleep. Adelle headed in after that patrol, knowing that she would have to work on fighting now. Her need to become a great warrior filled her time, every waking thought attuned to this goal. Of course, she was still easily distracted by things that she came across, a child still despite her insistence otherwise.

Such an occasion happened now. Adelle had been minding her own business when she came across a rabbit. The pup grew to a stand still, tail lashing behind as she moved in her secui form. It was quickly becoming one of her favorites, though she did like the ability to fight with her hands. The rabbit sensed the eager predator, and quickly began to hop away. Adelle let out a loud bark, sending it into a full out run as she chased it, racing up to it and past it, spinning wildly as her jaws stretched, snatching at the rabbit wildly. Too bad it escaped.

Stalker Enzo is stalker. Also fail post

Silent paws moved him forwards. A sensitive nose twitched keenly at the scent laden air. Excitement was present as displayed by his tail curved high and wagging slightly. The monster secui had to do well to hide himself though, the girl he had taught was no longer just a girl, she was becoming an adult like he had done once upon a time. She was becoming sharper and her skills more refined. So he pulled down his flagging tail lest it gave away his position. She was so close to catching her prey that he almost barked for her in frustration but it was not meant to be and the rabbit scurried off into the undergrowth, free to continue live for now.

Now that he wasn't in danger of disturbing her hunt he allowed his paws to create noise as they picked their way through the shrubs and plants,

"Aye, tha' was a good attempt, too bah yah missed." He offered to her in condolence, you didn't always catch what you hunted, sometimes luck worked against you. Her form was the larger, more muscled secui as his was, though she was still significantly smaller than himself being female and younger.

Adelle growled with frustration, watching the rabbit escape as her paws skidded. She was getting better, but her movements still lacked refinement. Her run had been clumsy, stopping her from being able to catch herself and turn properly to continue the chase. Panting she watched the rabbit escape. Adelle didn't let out a whine of disappoinment, though she had wanted to seeing it happen. She had been so close! If only she'd worked a little harder. Maybe then the rabbit would have been captured. She could have been enjoying a snack instead of watching it escape.

Adelle's head whipped around at approaching steps. Her tail leaped into action seeing Enzo. Growling playfully she pounced over to his side, rubbing along him. Yes. Rabbit escaped. Adelle stood tall, tail waving proudly with the knowledge that Enzo approved of her attempt. Perhaps he could help her improve some. Ice blue eyes met his before she remembered what she had been doing before the rabbit. Oh! Forgot patrol. Adelle turned and began dutifully trotting back to the border that she didn't need to protect yet.

He was as glad to see the young one as she was to see himself, the enthusiasm of youth thrumming through them both. His voice was a rumble in his chest as he chuckled, pressing his head back against hers as she came to greet him. She was practically the only one he greeted in his way with heads pressed together aside from Juliet of course but that was a whole world of different feelings and emotions involved in here. With Adelle it was simple fondness for a girl and the duty of an adult to take care of the young even if she wasn't his young.

Somewhere in the back of his mind the tall foreign accented male felt a tiny niggle in his brain when he looked down upon her. She was young yes but she was grown, not all the way but she was getting there, his duty to her as almost parental as it was, was based upon only a few meetings. What would this be like for children that had come of him, born of his Juliet and himself, for there was no question of who, if any, he wanted to carry his get. A young girl or boy that he would see go from a tiny helpless thing into a excitable youth and then to a dependable adult. The thought gave him weird shivers down his spine. To shake away the strangeness he padded after her, if she was patrolling then he would accompany her.

He fell into step besides her, slowing down his large stride so that he wouldn't outpace her. His dusty tail flickered back and forth behind him. The glittering rings in his right ear sparkled in the dappled sunlight. Amethyst and emerald scanned the area with an expert's eye and he wondered idly if she could tell him the signs to look for if prey had passed through, maybe a little recap lesson would be needed,

"Canye tell me, waht ah would look fer. Eff I was 'unting prey now."

Their heads pressed together, her tail wagging wildly with enthusiasm. She liked being with Enzo, even if he was harder to understand than the others. He taught her a lot of stuff, and helped her when she needed to hunt. It was a skill that she was rapidly growing in, if still adjusting to how she was supposed to move with her larger form. Only practice would help with that. Enzo followed after the pup, joining her enthusiastic patrol of the border. It always had a firm line, what with Adelle's habit of checking on it and the more serious minded patrols of the adults in the pack.

Her nose to the ground Adelle sniffed around, seeing who had been there, what animals had passed through, and other various bits of information. A couple wolves had stopped by, met by Casa members, as well as the scents of others who had passed close to the border on their way to the nearby city. Her ears twitched as Enzo spoke. Concentrating she carefully dissected his words. What to look for when hunting prey. Fresh scent. Erratic markings. Trails? She wasn't too sure what she might need to look for.

sorry this post totally fails x.x

He didn't give her any help, no visual aids as he stood there solidly and stiff. Not even his tail moved back and forth and his expression had fallen into considering calmness, reserved and difficult to pierce lest he give away any of the answers. He watched her as she scented about, sorting through the myriad of different scents and tracks and trails to disentangle. Only experience could be her guide now, what she garnered from her travels and meetings. He thought back across the long months when she had been assigned Wayne as a mentor and felt a stab of jealousy of the cowboy, this was a very fulfilling and dutiful experience.

His tail flicked from side to side as she gave him a somewhat hesitant answer, pleased that she had at least identified some key elements of hunting for predator or prey.

"Thah's good. Waht else?"

Lorenzo's expression was blank. Completely useless for the pup to learn from. There were no hints for what else she might need to look for, just a solid expression of complete relaxation. Frustrated a little Adelle looked around. At least what she had identified before was correct. Adelle didn't know what else she might need to find prey. She couldn't differentiate between strength and the time of when something had passed by, though she could tell the species.

Growling Adelle decided she was done with the lesson. She was still a child in many ways. Not listing off anymore Adelle crouched down before sending her burly form forwards to tackle Lorenzo. Fight! Her tail wagged behind her, eager for the challenge of taking down the much larger wolf. Adelle wasn't going to be a small girl for much longer, but for now he still towered over her, nowhere near the size that she was.

He could see the moment that her control and discipline snapped like a sapling caught in a gale. Provoked by his unhelpful expression. The spark of mischief lit up in his odd colored eyes as she growled her frustration at him and a snarky smile began to tilt his lips upwards. She bunched up her muscles and sent herself soaring through the air at him. The spark became a flame and the male leapt sideways out of the path of her leap. He pawed at the ground and tossed his head up high, tailing flagging in the air behind him,

"Ha! So yahh want tah fight mahself?" Underneath his skin the muscles of his shoulders flexed and contracted as he shifted his forepaws in a catlike gesture, "Cahm on then leethle garl." He let our a growl of his own, the sound rumbling through his chest as a deep vibration and through his sharp canines that were displayed in a grimace of play. The white fangs standing out sharply against black lips and dark, dusty fur.

He was grinning as she leaped forwards. A slight inkling that she had taken on someone much tougher than herself ran through her brain, wondering if she would have been better off trying to figure out how to track animals than fighting him. Lorenzo disappeared from the place that he'd been standing, sending the dog smack into the ground. Her forepaws took the brunt of the weight, drawing a heavy snort from her. Tingles ran through her body, halting clumsily. Back legs braced out, looking rather silly, as if she had purposely landed in a ridiculous play bow.

Straightening up Adelle turned to where Lorenzo was. He pawed at the ground, teasing her with the sharp eager movements. He was so confident he was going to win. Adelle would show him though! She was a great warrior, and Adelle would take him down full speed. Adelle's ears flattened at the great growl that rumbled through. Peeling back her lips she responded with one of her own, just as deep, if younger in it's entity. Adelle leaped forwards again, teeth snapping to grab onto his scruff. She would shake him like a rag doll!

He barked in laughter as the dog girl sent herself sprawling to the floor, missing him completely. He waited for her to stand herself back up when he could have easily pinned her down and claimed victory for the fight. But that would be boring and unsportsmanlike of him, so he was the gentleman and waited for her. His growl was met noise for noise and he had to admit he was impressed for one so young to produce something so fearsome sounding, no doubt she could send children and even adults her own size running in fright at the display.

She leaped forwards again with her jaws opened wide and he snorted, again she was overly eager and he pushed his head down and forwards, his muzzle like a great shovel, and then once he would feel her weight against his face he would plough her to the side using her own momentum against her. Adrenalin pumped through him, he hadn't had a good tussel with someone since he and Tony had fallen out.

This attack was sure to succeed. Adelle had calculated the movement (seen what she thought was a good attack and decided on it), measured the distance (really just eyeballed it), and pounced when he'd least expected it (as soon as he moved the slightest bit). There was no way it could fail. All Enzo could do, all he did do, was crouch low to the ground, a victim for her to take. Adelle hit his muzzle, teeth scrambling for purchase on his scruff. Just as she began to scoop it up, the world tilted before her, sending the pup backwards.

Confused Adelle's paws pumped against the ground, feeling it fall away. The push continued, sending her sprawling to her side. Wide blue eyes looked up, finding the grey male with his muzzle pushed into her. He'd just pushed her over! Shamed that she'd lost her balance Adelle laid flat, deciding that the best move possible in this situation was to play dead. Hopefully he'd buy it and Adelle wouldn't have to try and explain why she'd thought it was a good move. Eyes closed she stuck her tongue out, doing her best imitation possible of a dead body.
