There used to be a lighthouse around here.

Enzo needs to meet more people, like 2 or 3 possibly? Preferably people Lorenzo doesn't know

The day had passed by in an almost lazy haze, despite his earlier determination that he was going to hunt, sometime during the morning that desire had abated and instead the dusty colored male found himself not trawling Casa's lush forest but running through his stances inside the sparring ring he had built with Juliet and Hadley on Jazper's orders. The Fort loomed tall over him, throwing shadows across him and blocking out most of the sun's warmth. He didn't mind though, it helped keep him cool as he flowed from one stance to the next with unwavering effortless. He could keep up this steady rhythm for hours if he wanted to.

It was strenuous enough to leave him panting slightly, tongue lolling from his mouth as he moved. He didn't have to think of which form to flow to next because his body knew the moves so well it was an unconscious thing. His mind was peaceful and serene using the focus of the exercises to repel all thoughts and feelings and trying to reach a perfect balance. But what would anyone expect, he had been trained by Jazper, and was the result of generations of selective breeding, the product of skill and wisdom. He was not arrogant about the fact though, he was not the only child of Jazper and shared his strength with his siblings, even small Fia held fire within her veins and a warrior's passion in her heart, it was the way they had been bred, to preserve and protect the innocent and weak.

Cadmeia Teumessian

It was time to break free of her nervous habits! Cadmeia wanted so badly to belong, but she’d not let herself interact with anybody. It was hard for her to not be worried about what other people thought, although she tried to tell herself that she didn’t care. She was, in fact, very “different” from the rest, she knew this...but if her judgement was accurate, everybody would be very accepting of her.

Cadmeia decided to go exploring, and the first whom she came across she would talk to. She avoided the forest today, as she didn’t want to spend her time hiding again. Her legs felt like they needed a stretch, so she decided to run. Starting off at a trot, then picking up the pace into a full on sprint, Cadmeia felt her muscles squeeze and release as she powered on through. She was very quick, and with little effort at that.

Coming up, she noticed a young, timber looking wolf practicing in a sparring ring. She’d never been here before, nor had she spoken with this one yet. He looked sharp, Cadmeia thought, an excellent fighter. He made it look so easy. She wondered if she’d be able to move like him - perhaps her body wasn’t built to be a warrior. It looked fun though, and Cadmeia was curious. She had also made a promise to herself that she would speak to the first creature she came upon, and well, here he was - alone at that. Cadmeia approached cautiously so as not to startle him, lowered her head, and mustered up enough courage to speak. ”I...I’m Cadmeia. What’s your name? What are you doing?”

Sorry for taking so long

He was in a world entirely his own and didn't notice the tiny canine like creature slowly creeping closer to his training session. He saw nothing but the blur of his mace and the flash of the greenery. The sounds of battle rang in his ears so strongly that it was as though he were still taking part in it. So when a voice cut through the din he swung himself around, tensing to go on the attack, assuming an intruder and was met with a creature smaller than any wolf or coyote he had seen before. He lowered his weapon immediately and relaxed his stance. Lorenzo had heard from whispers of a fox being accepted into Casa's membership so he was unsurprised at her though he was curious about her and why she had been accepted like another wolf.

His breath came to him deep and long, as he looked at her. Then his face twisted into a smile and any air of predatory malevolence he might have held dissipated, dropped like the mace than he carefully put down.

"Greehtings Cadmeia. Ah ahm Lorenzo Knight. Today ah ahm traihning. Tah keep up mah skills and endurahnce. Waht are ye doing here?" As he spoke the Knight male climbed over the side of the ring, an easy task for his long legs, he didn't forget his mace however and the deadly weapon was retied back to his rawhide belt with a merry jingle.

Cadmeia Teumessian

Cadmeia recognized something in this one - but what was it? She felt like she’d seen him somewhere before. Jazper? He was quite large, Lorenzo. She liked the way he stood - slightly awkward. ”Like me!” she giggled to herself. She wasn’t scared of him, though he looked like he could be quite formidable in battle. She looked him up and down - he seemed quite sweet, and she liked the way he spoke too. Not wanting to be rude, she averted her eyes, then replied softly. ”T...today I was lonely. Thought...I’d look for....I mean...company...I wanted it...” Cadmeia stopped talking. She looked up at Lorenzo with wide eyes, glistening a little out of nervousness. Why couldn’t she talk to him? He seemed to have a bit of a regal air about him, somehow, at least in the way he looked, and Cadmeia felt way below him. Not in a bad way, of course. But it intimidated her somehow, and she was worried that she might say the wrong thing. She WAS trying to make friends, though. I can’t act so strange...he might take it the wrong way. She looked at him a bit longer in silence, this time making eye contact. His eyes were beautiful - one a different color than the other. She was mesmerized, trying to figure Lorenzo out. She wanted to know more about him...could he possibly want to befriend her? Slowly, cautiously, she padded over and rubbed her face on his leg.

OMG Enzo and Cadmeia should be like BBF! Big Grin

She should be terrified of him, the small red fox. He was huge even by standards that were wolf and not fox, he freaked out members of his own species who were abnormally tall too and yet he didn't scared this little fox, it was incredible. He had never interacted with a species other than his own before, apart from the horses which he didn't much care for so this was an entirely new experience for him but he found that she wasn't that much different from a wolf, she was just smaller. It seemed he had found a kindred soul in this fox, she was about as articulate as he was when faced with unknown people, she stumbled over her words and eventually made her desires clear. She wanted a friend.

She came over and rubbed her face against his leg. She was so tiny he was worried that he might step on her and hurt her, "Ahh steep back ah sec eff yah would Cadmeiha." When she was clear of him, the giant lowered his bulk to the floor, leaning back against the sparring ring post which creaked and groaned under his weight. He turned his head down to face her, his spine cracking just like the wooden pole he lent against.

"Tha's bettah, now yah can see mahself more."

OOC - YES!!

Lorenzo spoke to Cadmeia in a gentle voice, sweet as warmed sugar, and she melted instantly. She backed up a few paces as he requested, then nestled her seat into some grass, tail wrapped around her body. She watched as he sat down too, adjusting his large frame to get comfortable. As his face drew near, she was struck once again by his eyes. They really were special, unlike anything she’d ever seen before. She examined him more closely, and noted that his ears were rather large. ”Neat!” she thought to herself - she also had large ears. She liked how they flopped around. It was endearing. She wondered if he would grow into his ears, or if they would continue growing along with the rest of his body.
Something about Lorenzo really struck home with her. Just looking into his eyes, she felt like she’d always known him. They were comforting - especially that violet colored one. Cadmeia slowly rose, then proceeded to make her way over to him. Unsure how he would react, she clambered into his lap and looked up at his soft face. Not really sure where to proceed from here, she asked the first thing that came to mind: ”Wh...what are you thinking?”

Dooode, we need a newer thread so Enzo can be all Big Grin I got brotherhood shiney!!

His sitting down as accompanied by a sigh of relief, as he stretched out his legs, his weight was a large burden to carry and sometimes all that got him through the days of training and patrolling and hunting was the prospect of getting to sit down at the end of the day and take the load off of his feet. He smilled a little nervously as he noticed the vixen staring at him, and he wondered idly if he had mud in his fur or on his face or something, he brushed a hand through his dust colored hair, pushing it back from his face.

The little fox stood up cautiously and Lorenzo watched her curiously, neither of them said anything but it was almost as if words weren't needed for their conversation to continue, the silence seemed to carry all the socializing for them. She laid down in his lap, something he hadn't really expected and at first didn't know how to react to. If it had been a wolf female or any other canine female he would have gently pushed her away, he had Juliet and didn't need or want anybody else. But it someone didn't seem inappropriate with Cadmeia, like she was his small pet or something. His head turned down to her and the grin came back to his face,

"Ahh just me Juliet and whether ar not ah need tah go 'unting tahnight."
