Completing her exploration of the coastline (or completing as much as she was going to complete), Rhona decided to head for a little more familiar territory. The ocean and coastline were beautiful and huge and held many new and interesting creatures, vegetation and smells, but this young lady was beginning to miss trees, fresh water lakes and good black dirt beneath her paws, instead of the shifting sand that seemed to make it into every crease and crevice she had!

Traveling north and west back across Drifter bay, across the isthmus and back onto the mainland, on her seventh day of hard running, Rhona had finally made it to what was known as the Miramichi Wilderness. Upon her first step into the forest, Rhona Keerin took a deep breath and lowered herself into a crouch, sweeping away dead leaves to bare the ground beneath them. The loamy, earthy, slightly damp smell of the forest floor drifted up into her nostrils and made her feel decidedly homesick. At the time it seemed like a good idea to leave her family and home with Isonmor, a loner male she barely new. Little did she know that he would abandon her in the middle of their journey.

Feeling a little lonely and most definitely sorry for herself, Rhona let a tear slide down her cheek, which was quickly followed by several more. Still crouching there with her fingers clutching the dirt, Rho's wide ears perked at the sound of a songbird singing. Wiping the wetness from her cheeks and leaving a smudge of dirt behind, the young female rose and begin striding deeper into the forest. What she was looking for, she didn't know, but she was restless now and she felt the only thing she could do was move forward.

WotD Point+1, Cicatrix Words – 200+

He was still looking for a new home. Jaden’s wide paws pressed through the forestry with a leisurely pace. There was so much to take into account when choosing packland that he was fully absorbed in admiring each noticeable feature of the land around him. The songbirds were nice and the trees were plentiful, but this place reminded him too heavily of Ichika’s old land. They needed something fresh and new to them all in order to truly start their own chapter on the land. So he continued forward on his two legs and tried to think of where he might explore next.

The Alaskan’s body was full, strong, and healthy. Hunting had been easy again with his new bow. The injuries on his body that still lacked the proper cicatrix and his inability to shift do to this were enough to threaten his ability to catch prey but he was fine now. He carried the handmade bow on his back proudly even though the dry yellow weapon wasn’t completely finished yet. The color looked nice next to his quiver and arrows.

A scent had him stopped and sampling the air only a short time after deciding to find a new place to explore. His eyes traveled across the land in search of the owner and a hand fell instinctively to one of the daggers on his hip. When a young female graced his eyes, the obsidian man took on a friendlier stance. He then took a few steps toward the woman and greeted her kindly. Good day, his blue eyes looked to catch hold of hers. They were the easiest way to determine how this stranger might react to his presence. I am Jaden Ohanzee. What might I call you?

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.

As she traveled deeper into the forest, she felt the tension begin to leave her body. It was almost as if she had been holding her breath and finally felt relaxed enough to let it out. Her long leg muscles eased and her stride became smoother, more languid. She rolled her shoulders, loosening them. She had been traveling for a long time, but only now did she feel relaxed enough to think of something other than running and trying to reach a specific destination. This forest, this wilderness, made her feel complete. It was something familier.

Pausing for a moment, she closed her green eyes and took another deep breath. She stopped mid-inhale. Someone was here! Slowly she opened her eyes and scanned the area. There! A very dark pelted male was stopped, looking at her. Her jaw dropped in a delighted grin. She had not seen another like herself for too long! Usually, one would be cautious is meeting a stranger, but Rhona had grown up in with a clan leader that welcomed any traveler and Rho herself had always been curious.

Her wide, gray and brown ears perked forward at the sound of his voice and she padded closer to this male as well, meeting his blue eyes with her green ones. "Well met, Jaden Ohanzee! I am Rhona Keerin and I have been sorely missing intelligent company." She spoke with a laugh, her voice rich and deep, though slightly hoarse from unuse. Suddenly a little self concious, Rhona quickly tried wiping off her dirty cheek with the back of her hand. Her sharp eyes took in the sight of a bow, arrows and a dagger that the male had on his person. She had never used such weapons; her clan being very traditional and living much the same as an uninfected wolfpack. There was much Rhona still had to learn about the world.
