Pondering words from before. He had offered to scar his frame to help her persue dominance yet she had not willed to take it. Main reasoning seemed to be that it was unrequired in this pack. But then, X'ies hadn't only been thinking in terms of this pack. There were outsiders who would no doubt be all too willing to jump on the fledgling lot unless they had supervised, dominant leadership. But then again, perhaps she was right. Perhaps such things wern't required. He had never been one for particularly keeping up his physical fitness, he was by no fair means unfit. But was not quite as physically built as the two Alphas, this had clearly been obvious during the little scrap with X'y. So despite prefering mind over matter. He was going to make it so that he could at least keep up with them should a fight ever break out, be it training or otherwise.

He needed to hold his own if he was going to rise, going to protect. Going to kill. Being a Lambda was all about inviting perspective into ones life. Seeing it from different angles. And whilst his sharp mind had resulted in a dirty victory this time, she would know next time just how he meant to play. One couldn't rely on the same kind of trickery each time. It might save him once, but once should be all it took. Allowing for that final, brutal blow. And well, after that...the idea of someone actually catching onto your tricks wouldn't be a problem. Dead men don't talk, dead men don't think. Thought the grey wolf as he began a mild jog around their territory. This was going to be a combination of ensuring that the borders were protected. And a physical endurance test. He was not running quickly as to sprint, but keeping it at a steady pace to work off food and build up stamina.

Fighting would require technique, but technique would require stores of energy. And at the moment his body was not conditioned to fight like that.

Trees passed by with the gentle breeze bringing him many different scents and sounds. His lungs, scoured by the bitter air and of course their requirement for more oxygen. In the back of his mind, part of him begged his body to slow down, to stop. To rest. But he would not allow himself this brief endulgence.X'ies had goals, and the mind to reach them. This was just another stepping stone on his way to greatness. He would complete this little run of his. Borders seemed to be fine, whether or not the rest had already been patrolling he could not say. However they seemed well marked enough. Finally when everything was finished, all said and done he returned to the lake side and sat there thinking, catching his breath. Staring out into the water and its reflective surfaces. Pondering once more, this time on his own words spoken to X'y.

"...The wolf with mirrored eyes avoids his own reflection, terrified of what he will see within...."

Partially when thought about, it could have many meanings. One which occured to him right now rung true about himself. The one that saw only others, was afraid to look at themselves. He looked down in the lake, and saw his own reflection, drab, dirty. Injured. And as he looked he found himself paddling in, if for no other reason than to take care of the injuries that had been inflicted upon him by the Alpha Female. And as he washed off the blood and grime, he began to consider just how things were going to play out in this pack. He couldn't help but feel that he had yet to obtain all the information that would be required. Couldn't help but feel that the breaking point was soon approaching and he, nor they were ready to deal with what was coming. A disappointing thought to say the least. Still, if he kept up his running perhaps it would do him good. The only question left was about fighting. He only knew of two in the pack that dealt with it. X'y....or Jaden.

" We don't have all the information just yet..."

He thought to himself. " Perhaps Jaden will be more enlightening...". Quite possible. The dark furred male wasn’t as bright as X’y, or at least didn’t appear to be. But then maybe that was just his own view of things, it could well be that the dark one simply acted like this because of his feelings around dealing with strangers, more than one bright wolf was off put by the thought of expressing themselves freely. A problem not shared by the Lambda. Then again perhaps it was more to do with X’y than anything else. The woman was respected, perhaps it was intimidating being in her shadow like that. Couldn’t really tell, no not without more information on the subject. Perhaps it was finally time to approach the male, X’ies didn’t doubt for a moment that if he asked the alpha to help him train in fighting that he would do so, both because he was honor bound to help the packs development, and because doing so would give him a chance to take out some of the pent up frustration that he had no doubt gained for the Lambda male during his short time being with the pack. Indeed, probably more the latter than anything else, but none the less all these things would serve his needs. Once he was done cleaning himself up properly he would leave the lake and shake himself off. Once again moving over towards that bolder he liked to lounge on top of whilst drying off. The very same one that he had waited on for X’y before their meeting and their agreement. He had already come to his decision, but it was probably best to let himself dry off first, and let at least some of his wounds heal. [END]
