OOC: Yeah, she's a wimp. Might I say it feels strange posting in another pack. X3/ Word Count: 475

The slender fae wasn't doing too well in this new place. All of it was so weird and foreign, it was frightening. There were buildings everywhere and almost all canines waltzed around on two legs like they were humans. To her, it was like they were back and she was stuck in the middle of their home, an outsider. The day before had been a nightmare for her. The safest she felt, was in this room where nobody could get in. She dare not get out of bed, curled up underneath piles of blankets in this strange lengthy form. The poor girl was absolutely overwhelmed by this place. She was sleeping in a human bed, with human items all around her, in a building that looked like something a human would live in. She couldn't wait to get back to the comfort of the mossy den and curl up surrounded by four leggers, but before she got home she needed to complete the goal she had come here to do. Fayne needed to learn how to use this hands for more than bending blades of grass and holding hands with the Alpha, she needed to know how to fight.

As she lay there in complete darkness, the determination welled up within her. It took about an hour for her to gather the courage to come out from her fortress, but eventually she did. The sun shone through the windows beckoning her to come outside, where all the dangers waited. A small growl emitted from her throat. She was being cowardly and that was exactly what she came here to not be. She wanted to be strong and to do that she would have to go outside and find herself a teacher.

Without further hesitation the silver fae hopped out of bed, not even attempting to flatten out the rat's nest on top of her head, she left the room. The bustle was loud, people walking about, but she forced herself to continue forward. No way! She wasn't going to go anywhere without Palaydrian. The panicked wolf rushed to her door and gave three loud knocks. Hopefully she was awake and ready to start their training. Fayne put her ears up against the woman's door listening up for an signs that she was awake. Desperately, she knocked again needing the comfort of the Siamese woman. Her tail was tucked between her legs and ears flattened against her head as she waited, eyes darting around everywhere as if she was waiting for something to happen. The funniest part was, she was completely safe and nobody here would do her harm. She just needed to be told that once again before she calmed down. She continued to wait not removing her head from the door, a pathetic whine making it's escape from her maw. Palaydrian. Are you awake?

Meow:: Haha! Fayne is so cute! WC:: 627

The girls had done it! They’d surprised their entire pack and actually made the journey to Casa di Cavalieri, quite a few hours travel from their own lands, and with the intention of getting some self-defense training. A part of Palaydrian hoped she’d run into Jiva and Titania on their trek since the two lovers had left each other on rocky terms and Drin may have allowed herself to flirt with a visitor the day after her disappointing night with Jiva, but another part of her enjoyed the freedom of finally getting out of New Dawn and taking her life into her own hands. She was done playing the victim and tired of being handled with care. Tharin had acted as their escort and as far as she was concerned, one capable male’s presence was enough. If Jiva returned to New Dawn before their trio, she’d just have to deal with whatever consequences were waiting her upon her own arrival. She had a feeling he wouldn’t be too happy that she had left the pack without him by her side, but after everything that happened, she just couldn’t wait any longer and needed to get out.

She wasn’t the only one that needed this, and with a little convincing, Fayne had agreed to come along as well. It would be good for them to be able to return to the pack with a new set of skills they could teach everyone. Strengthening the pack and themselves was by far, the most important goal in Drin’s mind. The woman knew how hard the journey must have been for both her sister and her brother, as the two were not the most comfortable around wolves who possessed the Optime mutation. In Casa, packlife was incredibly different than the lifestyle adapted in New Dawn. Here wolves and canines walked about freely on two legs, wore clothing, carried weapons, had livestock and horses, basically everything considered humanized to a New Dawn wolf. The difference between the two packs was night and day, but Drin felt at ease here the moment they had been welcomed upon the territory with opened arms and showed the quarters they’d be occupying. Everyone was so welcoming and excited to have the visitors here. It warmed the woman’s heart and made her feel more hopeful for her family members, they surely couldn’t feel out of place when the knights of Casa so openly wanted them there, right?

Wrong. A panicked knocking startled the woman who was transfixed by the reflective glass in her room. She gave a small cry of surprise, turning her eyes away from what looked like the surface of Deer Lake on a clear day and staring at her closed door. Doors were an odd concept that had taken getting used to the night before, especially using what was called a door knob, but Drin was loving every moment in Casa as if she were walking around a museum and reading all the placards. Coming! She called moving from the chair she was sitting on to cross over to the door. The urgent knocking came with a voice. Fayne. A smile began to tug at the corners of her mouth, as she opened the door to reveal her silver sister. Hey! The woman greeted her warmly, before her eyes narrowed playfully, Were you just listening through the door? She asked with a slight chuckle. Is everything okay? Her previous surprise had turned into concern realizing how stressed Fayne looked. Remember, we’re welcome here...there is nothing to be afraid of, she assured her sister, opening her arms to offer her a hug if she needed it.

OOC / +000

The time she stood outside that door waiting seemed like an eternity. Luperci continually bustled around her carrying food on humanized trays and holding weapons in sheaths which hung from their belts, which held up their human pants!! Ah! Fayne wound never get used to this no matter how long she spent here but she would be as strong as it would take to complete the training. Ear still pressed against the door she heard a small shriek, tail swayed slightly knowing that her Siamese sister was a wake and soon she answered Fayne's cries. Emerald eyes darted every which way giving a half ass smile to whoever passed her. Of course they all thought she was nuts, she looked absolutely insane. Her hair was a mess, fur ruffled, tail tucked underneath her and she stood without any confidence. Her back was slightly arched and hands remained in front of her covering her chest and holding on for dear life to the necklace Noah had given her. The small two legged wolf took a breath trying to calm her own nerves but it didn't help much.

Relief washed over the silver fae when Palaydrian finally answered the door and greeted her. Happy as can be, her tail finally came out from it's tucked up state and started to wag. Hi! A large smile spread across her face though and a small chuckle escaped her at Drin's accusation. Yeah, sorry. Her head jerked to see someone pass by, tail stopping dead. Ugh! She was annoying herself, she must look like such a coward right now. Fayne turned back to Paladyrian and accepted the hug clinging tightly to her pack sister shutting her eyes. It's not okay. This place is horrible. There's two leggers everywhere wearing clothes and holding weapons just like humans. The silver wolf nodded to Drin's statement. It was all true. None of these strange wolves were going to hurt her. Although their lifestyles may be different from theirs they were all of the same blood and they had welcomed her, Palaydrian, and Tharin into their borders kindly. Right... With that she backed up and turned to look at all the commotion once again trying to bring a smile onto her own face. Eh, they weren't that scary. With a laugh she turned back to the Siamese wolf. It's just all so different. I'll be happy when we leave this place and go home where most of us remain on four legs. The time would come soon enough, they weren't here for long. Hopefully Fayne didn't have a heart attack before it was time to go home.

Fayne courageously took the first step towards the exit of this large building so they could find a teacher, then she turned back to Palaydrian once again. Let's go learn how to fight. Nobody is going to mess with us once we're done here, I mean no one! She was still a bit frightened but she would make it through today with the help of her friend. With a smile on her face she ushered Paladrian to come and started to walk through the place. The exit door wasn't far from where they were housed but Fayne walked slowly keeping an eye out every which way hesitant to exit the large building. But, she needed to step up otherwise she'd be acting like a child, which she was not, and she made her way to the large door of the courtroom. For a moment, she stood there and simply stared at it, wide eyed and then she finally went to open the door looking back at Palaydrian first. Here we go. There was even more bustle outside, Luperci rushing every which way all with tasks. Now she was stuck, where were they to start looking for a trainer? Jazper had led them here but he had never said anything about who to talk to about training. He only said that there were plenty of fighters, suppose they just ask someone?

Here we go. Let Jace post next. Neela and Enzo are in the sparring rings which aren’t that far from the court, Pala and Fayne will probably be able to hear them from where they are. Also not that Neela isn’t wearing her armour, hopefully that’ll but Pala and Fayne a bit more at ease.

Word Count → 416

A loud clang echoed throughout the clearing and Neela stumbled backwards, grimacing at the pain in her arm as at jarred from the blow, adding to the not inconsiderable amount of strain already put into it by previous blows and the sheer weight of the heavy shield she was trying to hold up. Neela and Enzo had only been training for about half an hour and she had already decided that shields weren’t for her; she was far too small and her strength lay in knowing where to hit an opponent to weaken them, not in pure physical strength. Neela’s own mace she had borrowed from the armoury had been lost long ago, knocked out of her hands and so she was now on the defensive, able to do little more than block and dodge Enzo’s swings.

Still any knowledge was useful knowledge and Neela never knew when she might find herself needing to use a shield in the future so she soldiered on, gritting her teeth and locking her arm as Enzo swung his mace again, Neela jerked her arm and managed to catch the mace on her shield. Neela let out a loud yelp as her arm buckled under the force, sending the edge of the shield crashing into her thigh.

”Aggh, dammit!” Neela swore holding her leg and battling with the distinct suspicion that there was a hint of karma involved here. Neela and Enzo had been training together fairly often in the last two weeks and for the most part, Enzo had been helping Neela work on her hand to hand combat in preparation for the collie attempting to join the brotherhood. This meant that Neela had also been winning rather a lot of fights recently, speed and experience trumping even Enzo’s size and strength when the weapons were stripped away. Certainly Enzo likely wouldn’t be complaining about winning one of their fights for once; in fact she had the sneaking suspicion that he had had such in mind when he brought up the topic of Neela giving shields a go for something different.

After a few moments of rubbing her thigh Neela could stand again and rose up, baring her teeth in a mock snarl that had a hint of a grin to it, ”Cmon then, lets get goin’” she shot over to Enzo, jumping forward and thrusting the her shield towards him, trying to get at least one hit in on him before she was defeated.

Meow:: Totally was wating for Jace didn’t realize Enzo was dropped! Tongue Thanks for the poke Alex! WC:: 650

As soon as her arms parted, the silver fae rushed into their safety. Drin let out a friendly laugh against the woman’s ear, but she snuggled her close to her breast and allowed the woman to hold onto her tightly. This was her sister and she knew how scary coming to the court had been for her. The love for Fayne grew in Palaydrian’s mind, this woman with whom she shared more than simple packship bonds. No, this woman was also a victim in the world full of shadows and evil, and the hardships they had lived through would only make them stronger and bring them closer. She held onto Fayne until the Delta felt sure of herself again and pulled away from their affectionate embrace. Drin shot her a heart warming smile, nodding with assurance to the woman’s decision and agreeing with her every word. I don’t think I could ever wear the odd clothing they don...too restricting. I think you and I will always be wildlings at heart, she said with a small laugh. She didn’t even think she’d be able to get to using the weapons they so easily wielded around her either. Drin was content with her own Luna given hands.

I’m excited to get started, think of all the things we could learn here and bring back to our pack. I do believe Zalen and Titania would find our teachings valuable. It would be good for us to spread the word and show others how to defend themselves, she spoke the thoughts that had been on her mind all night as she followed the Delta out of her room and down the long hallway leading to the outside world. Augustus is a fighter, this I could tell when I hunted with him many moons ago, and his mate...I have not met her yet, but I know she too holds the same rank as him. But only two fighters within our pack is not enough. We need to be able to defend our family and ourselves if the time should ever arise again, this she knew was true. She wasn’t aware that Tharin could hold his own, but the more fighters within New Dawn the better. If fighting was anything like bringing down large prey, Drin knew she’d do alright, but a part of her wanted more. The angel in her lacked the voracity fighting truly took. That was her goal for this week. She needed to find the balance...she wanted to see the red haze of battle that Syliat had described to her when she was young.

Fayne was right, nobody would want to mess with them after their training. Drin would make sure of that. Together the two women could draw strength from each other and support one another if fear threatened to rob them of confidence. She gave her pack sister another nod of assurance and helped push the heavy door of the courtroom open. Sunlight flooded her eyes and blinded her for a few seconds, but with one sense temporarily cut off, another increased. The sound of clanging and grunting filled her ears as they swiveled towards the source. A ring of sorts cleared in her vision as she blinked away the dark spots of sunlight. That way, Drin suggested, stepping forward and minding the Casa members going about their business. She was walking towards on outside ring of sorts holding various members of the pack sparring back and forth in the dust. Look at that! Drin was pointing towards two combating a few yards away from the ring entrance, a female wielding some sort of large shiny disk in her hands. She hoped Fayne wouldn’t find all the foreign things in the ring too overwhelming as she herself was overcome with awe.
