Optime form. Join Fayne in her hatred for Amy. X3

The days had been dragging by since the meeting with Zalen. Before then everything seemed to have been building up but once Fayne told Kiara bout Kohaku, things escalated and when the meeting came, things exploded into chaos. All of New Dawn was angry with the blond bitch and Fayne was fairly certain they all wanted her dead just as much as she did. Her frustrations were no longer pent up. She released by means of practicing her fighting though it wasn't good practice without a sparring partner. The lessons Taliesin had taught her were revised often and Fayne hoped that she'd be able to use and refine her midwife skills eventually. Practice was all she could do until the hunt for Amy commenced. The only thing holding the she-wolf together was her loved ones and the need to be strong for them.

The silver fae had found her way to Aelcrest shore. She'd been here once or twice and found the ocean to be soothing, though nothing would soothe the rage that built up within her. Fayne wanted more than anything to hunt Amy down herself and make her pay but knew she'd have to wait for her Alpha's word before she did anything. This would be something the pack did as a whole. Even so, the she-wolf could picture herself making that monster submit to her, striking fear into her. Fayne stood in the shallows on the beach in optime form. Punches were thrown at the air and feet swiveled and shifted in the salty cold water beneath her feet as she practiced what she had learned. An everlasting snarl remained on her lips and growled rumbled from her small chest with each punch she threw. This was the only way she knew to release her energy and frustrations other than running, but at least by punching she could picture Amy's ugly face being pummeled by her own fists.

Her body temperature was rising as she continued to dance in the waves, breath becoming strained and heavy. Her punches were becoming faster, the slightly strong breeze building a resistance against her fists. The snarls continued as she fought off the invisible Amy. You vile monster!! She yelled thinking of Kiara, Kohaku, and poor Lucia who was unaware of the severity of this situation but probably missing her brother all the same. You stupid, stupid, dog! How could you!? The punches continued to be thrown faster and faster until she couldn't increase the speed any more. When she was out of breath she stopped and waded deeper into the ocean, the frustration and anger evident on her expression. She stopped when she was waste deep in the waves. Each new wave crashed against her and threatened to knock her dainty frame over, but she stood still taking some of the water and splashing it on her face. She needed to calm down. I hate you for all that you are. I promised I'd tear you to shreds, and I will. Her words were nearly a growl, the tinge of failure prodding her eyes to release tears.

Word Count :: 302 OOC: You looked lonely, though Jiva won't be a good partner, perhaps he can try to get her mind offa things? Take her anger out on something that will be tasty? and he can possibly show her how to work on skinning, or even leather stuff, or she could help him with his healing stuffs, or something... Tongue

Jiva had a book out, it was one on how to patch someone up, though it was human, their anatomy was the same as nearly any optimes would be and it was mighty interesting. He was taking a walk feeling the need to get out with some fresh air and study. His feet took him where he wanted to go though he put little thought into it that was... until he heard the shouting. His ears twitched a little and he moved towards the yell and the growls. His worry growing, thinking of the meeting Zalen had and he nearly threw the book down when he ran out into the clearing thinking someone had gotten the woman Zalen spoke of and the scene before him when he broke from the thick trees was a wolf... no his pack sister Fayne out in waste deep ocean, but there was no one else.

Cautiously he moved up, and stepped to where the tide tickled his feet looking at his pack sister with worry; “Are you ok Fayne?” He asked timidly wading further into the water, the cold did not bother him, it was that she seemed so distressed and almost as if she was daring the ocean to take her away. He knew it was her Amy had attacked and twice and Jiva felt horrible about it. He liked her as a friend, and knew that she and Drin were close mostly due to their being attacked. He was worried for everyone in the pack with all the attacks going on, even his father was a victim, his own father who fought and killed to help Crimson Dreams had been attacked and nearly mortally wounded. If it wasn’t for Marahute and a stranger, at least that’s what he was told.

OOC: Sorry I took so long...I had a post but then my internet went out and poofed it. Tongue Maybe they could hunt and share what they know about healing and what not? :3

The ocean wasn't doing much in terms of bringing her blood down from a boil. Her fur was wet and her skin cold, but her blood coursed as hot as molten lava through her veins. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, each beat warming her even more. Her snarl never faded, even as she stared out into the ocean, past the waves and into the calm water. Waves continued to crash against her, daring to knock her over, but she payed no notice to them and was pushed by each new wave. She couldn't wipe away the blond's face from her mind, nor Kohaku's face when he carved his first scar into the silver fae. She was teaching him lessons that would stick with him from now until forever and there was no way they could be erased. Fayne was also hating herself for not saving Kohaku and probably would until the pup was back in safety, even them she had herself to blame if he was screwed up by Amy's evil clutches. Fayne growled loudly again and slapped the water with clawed hands before ducking completely under as a wave washed over top of her.

She came back up soaking from head to toe and still, she could feel her insides burning. The Delta hadn't noticed Jiva as he padded to the edge of the water and called out to her. She heard something faint disrupted by all the waves but payed no mind to it nor his scent, the salty air filling her watery nostrils. It wasn't until she heard splashing behind her that she turned to see him, her face revealing all of the anger she was feeling. It was quickly hidden under a softened expression and pushed back ears. This was her pack brother, she didn't want him to see her like this. A wave pushed her towards him and she took several steps towards him to where the water was only washing past her calves. Jiva, what are you doing here? She tried to put on a fake smile, the smile she always tried to use, but it wasn't much of a smile. I was just training before you showed up, when did you get here? She said, tipping her head to the side. Her body was submissive, even to him despite her rank. Her emotions were getting in the way of everything and fogging her mind.

Word Count :: 336 OOC: is ok!! and that sounds perfect!! they could find his book after they go hunting lol.

Jiva could see the anger in her eyes and he shrank back, it wasn’t hard for him to form a submissive posture towards the woman, he respected her, cared for her and she was a sister, there was no hard feeling toward her and she hid her anger behind a mask which scared Jiva even more. Her words were probably part lie part truth but he wouldn’t say that He blinked at her question for a second and opened his mouth; “I’ve been here for a little while sister, enough to know you are distressed, perhaps we can find some refuge in the wood and maybe take down something to eat?” He offered, she seemed aggressive to the thought of a vision that happened a while ago but had put on a submissive posture towards him which made him worry more. He tucked his tail between his legs and moved out of the water a bit, letting the tide reject him from the ocean.

He stood on the beach, but did what he could to keep close just in case something did happen; “I know you are angry about Amy, but we will do everything we can to find and get rid of her. I promise.” He didn’t know all the details so he knew very little of Kohaku or what he did himself. He looked at Fayne’s chin giving her a slight smile and nodding his head toward the wood that waited, inviting him and hopefully her. His legs were wet and his tail was ratty now that it too was wet, but he cared little of his own appearance, even forgot about the knife he now owned on his back leg or he would have pulled it out of its leather holding before rushing into the water. It was still secure on his leg, but he did not move to see if it would rust. He was more worried about getting the woman’s mind in the right direction.

Okay! And she wouldn't hurt him. She's a peace keeper. >.< But, she needs to take a chill pill. Haha.

The water wasn't doing much to help calm her down. She was tempted to swim out past the waves, but it was dangerous. They were rough today, the tide high. But, Jiva was here now and she was trying desperately to hide all of her anger. Anger didn't suite the slender silver fae. She could see the worried expression on Jiva's face, it only made her try harder to hold it all in. It was strange. If he were Noah, or Tharin she probably would have broken down but she didn't know the learning healer very well. Well, he'd obviously seen her before she put on her kind act so there was no use in tucking it away any longer. The smile faded and she nodded starting to walk towards the shore. The waves pushed her along breaking up against her back, soaking her fur even more. Jiva seemed to be frightened by her almost, that was strange. The woman wouldn't hurt a fly unless the fly was named Amy.

Jiva spoke of Amy and her lips curled back in a snarl remembering why she was out here in the first place. She's never going to stop Jiva. We have to take her down soon. There's so many others at risk for being hurt by her. You have no clue how badly I want to end her. I had to tell Kiara that she had Kohaku...and she...it broke her. Amy is breaking all of us, one by one and she won't stop. Promises are no good here brother, we need to act. She walked past him, too pissed off to even talk about the blond dog. She almost lost her composure in front of him, her voice cracking near the end of her words. I'm not just angry, I'm beyond it. A growl slipped from her maw as she brushed past the orange wold dog. She padded into the woods raising her nose to the sky to pick up a scent. She didn't speak or look at her brother wanting to focus on anything other than her troubles. Hunting was a good way to do it, though she wasn't very good at it. The angered wolf continued through the trees trying to pick up the scent of a reasonable sized meal.

WC: 319 OOC: Laugh for Jiva fails!!!

Jiva’s words were probably best unsaid as she spoke and he cringed his tail tucked in deeper. It wasn’t that he was afraid of her, he was afraid for her, and as a pack of traditional wolves it was hard for him to not feel her pain her anger, or what she had said was beyond anger, he was not going to argue with that but he knew she would be consumed by this if she didn’t let out some of her anger and aggression. He made efforts to change and then run after her, letting his nose sniff at the ground, his curly tail slowly coming back as scouting for hunts made him what he was. She seemed like she would need to be the one to make the kill, and he could always flush it to him. He caught a scent, a nice fresh one too and it wasn’t too far away, he looked over and curled up his tail enough for her to see his silent wag and he was off again to find the animal and flush it towards the woman.

He found the source and he swerved so that it didn’t see him and he could get into a better position to chase it towards the woman. He then stalked as close as he could to it, his eyes on the animal bright and wide, and he made for the animal, but instead of doing what he wanted it to do he saw it scampering the other way and he went full force to get it back to go toward Fayne and soon lost it within seconds. Herding rabbits was apparently harder than deer and he cursed the stupid green eating animal and went back to Fayne looking a bit defeated; “Perhaps we should go somewhere else now that I think I scared the prey around here...” He said sheepishly.

OOC here!

It was probably best that Jiva didn't return her words about Amy. If he had, she probably would have started babbling about the blond bitch thus increasing her angered state. Fayne continued to search for a scent, but wasn't sure exactly how she would go about catching anything on two legs. Yes, she had hands but in this form she didn't have the agility and mobility she had in the other form. The Delta quickly shifted back into her small lupine state, her bones crackled audibly underneath her metallic pelt. It never took her very long to change back from the two legged form. The slender bodied woman hunched and within a minute she was standing on all fours again. Fayne growled and shook of her pelt before she padded further into the forest, keeping an eye on Jiva to see if he had caught a scent. They caught the scent of the rabbit at the same time, looking at each other and silently confirming the target.

The orange male ran ahead and tried to scare the prey towards her. She waited patiently, crouching and moving silently closer as he made his move. Her muscles twitched anxiously as she held her position just waiting for the rabbit to dart into her readied jaws. Jiva made his move rushing at the rabbit, but it didn't seem to do as he intended and the prey darted in the opposite direction. Fayne barked anxiously and chased after the scared critter for a while until she realized it was futile and then padded back to Jiva. They hadn't caught anything but at least the small chase had released some of her frustration and she couldn't help but smile a little at her pack brother's failed attempt. She nodded and took a deep breath feeling her anger slipping away already. Fayne was never one to hold onto violent emotions for very long, she'd rather be happy and enjoy the time she spent with her family. I think so too, I always though I was the worst at hunting, you might be taking the lead there. She chuckled and walked passed him playfully snapping at his muzzle as she passed.

I'm sure we'll pick up another scent soon. She lifted her nose and followed whatever small trace of anything she could pick up walking for a few minutes consecutively. Finally, her nose locked onto the scent of another rabbit and she looked to Jiva narrowing her eyes intently. She motioned him to do as before and flush the rabbit towards her so she could make the killing blow. Fayne crouched and waited as before, pressing her ears forward and waiting for the scared creature to run into her waiting grasp.

Jiva was sheepish and embarrassed. He tended to lose more prey than he caught, but never really in front of anyone, but to hear her amusement and that soft smile it made him feel better. He returned that smile with a wag of his tail and a grin all his own. He let her teeth touch his muzzle trusting she wasn’t going to hurt him and followed her. It may have been embarrassing for her to see his stupidity but in a way it paid out, he was not going to be entirely embarrassed unless she made it that way but she didn’t. Which was perfectly fine with Jiva.

This time she found the next rabbit. Quite a ways from where he chased the first one. He nodded at her flush and moved to get into position. When he was at a distance and a good enough angle, or so he thought. He gave chase. The rabbit, not being as smart as the other dashed towards Fayne and to his death. Jiva barked in anticipation rushing the little animal towards Fayne knowing they were going to get this one.

OOC here!

Almost immediately after Fayne gave Jiva the signal, he was off. She watched intently as he crept around finding the perfect spot before he ran. She lowered herself, putting all her power in her legs. Her emerald gaze widened and planted on the rabbit paying no more attention to her partner. Her focus needed to be on the rabbit or it would surely get away as most of her catches did. A moment later, the startled creature ran right towards her and she stayed still careful not to scare in another direction. When it got close enough, she pounced. Powerful jaws opened and jowls pulled back as her teeth came down on her prey. She was off by a few inches landed her teeth on it's leg. The poor thing squirmed and jumped in her grasp trying desperately to escape. A paw came down to hold the rabbit while her jaws moved to it's neck. One powerful crunch and the rabbit fell lifeless in the huntress's jaws. She couldn't help but feel all of her pent up rage escape when she crushed down it. Her head tossed from side to side as she growled releasing all of her frustrations. This was just what she needed. That was close though. A few more inches off and it would have gotten away. This is why she wasn't Gamma...her hunting skill were below par even with the fighting experience she had. Even Noah was better than she and he only had one leg.

When she was done playing with her meal, she dropped it and secured her grip on it. Fayne laughed carrying the rabbit and trotting over to her hunting partner with a grin on her bloodied lips and her tail swaying quickly behind her. Got it. Her voice was muffled as she spoke and when she reached him she dropped the prey to the ground and licked her lips. The taste of iron was welcome and made her hungry. All the anger from before was gone now, she felt a world better all thanks to Jiva. That was good. It would have gotten away if I didn't have you to help me. We make a good team. She said grinning widely, her teeth stained crimson from the blood of her prey. With a sigh she sat down continuing to clean the blood from her maw. She leaned forward to press her muzzle into Jiva's scruff groaning playfully. Thanks. I really needed that. She then proceeded to tear off a back leg from the rabbit and down it in seconds. A nice snack. Jiva was welcomed to eat the rest if he wanted.

He stopped short when the rabbit ran right into Fayne’s open jaws and he watched as she basically tore it to pieces feeling happy that she could at least get her anger out like this rather than nearly drowning herself in the water by smacking at the water. At her words he shrugged; “I am sure you could have gotten it, but yes we do make a good team, we should hunt together more often.” He said his tail wagging as he came in close and moved on his belly. She was a Delta and he a subord and he didn’t want to be snapped at as she was a higher rank, but when he grabbed a bit of the rabbit for himself he ate quickly just as any wolf would traditionally, he was use to eating fast now. Knowing Tharin he would have probably been on them in seconds to claim their prize and it irked Jiva but he was still young and still rising up the ranks.

“Thank you, it is a good meal at least. I am glad you feel better too.” He said after he finished, licking his chops happy that he was able to get a bit of the rabbit but he wasn’t excruciatingly hungry and Fayne probably would be better suited to finish it herself as it seemed she was quite hungry.
