Where we roam

Torok traveled on and soon picked up a faint scent that seemed familiar. It smelled like Saul. His pack must be nearby. Fraya flew above him, announcing that there was a lake up ahead. Perhaps the pack lived near the lake. He was never told where the pack was, he just assumed he would find it. He wasn’t sure if Saul would allow him near the pack since he was a loner, but perhaps the Alpha would allow him to visit. With how well the two got along, it certainly seemed possible.

He picked up another scent, not too far away. This one was female and was clearly a member of the pack. He approached slowly, not entirely sure where she was. He also wanted to be sure he wasn’t too close to their border. Hello? Miss? Hopefully she would speak up so he could pinpoint where she was. The unnamed colt stayed as close to Torok as possible, not seeming to want to leave his side. He would need to figure out a name for the young horse, as well as work on perfecting his horse low speech. He mainly spoke with Fraya but eagle and horse dialect were very different, making it difficult for him to communicate with the colt.

Her activities revolved around her spurts of energy throughout the day - early morning appeared to be the time where she could get things done without having her strength dwindle down to nothing. The threat from her sister's recent assault seemed to have attenuated with the passing days. Time had a funny way of creating a false illusion of security and while she was still cautious enough to remain within the borders of Vinatta's packlands, she would ever so often push the limits of what was safe and walk along the outskirts of the borders. Her homelands were always within sight, close enough should anything ever happen. While the Virding had always been an independent woman, she wasn't reckless enough to put her pack through more unneeded anguish.

She could still smell the trail left behind by her lover- he wasn't too far away, possibly patrolling the borders before making his way back to the building site. Her pack mates had been hard at work creating what would be their village hall and most important reunion point. They had done most of the work the day before but knowing Saul, he was probably inspecting what the pack had achieved and making sure everything was ready for phase two. A stranger's presence was announced by a smell unknown to the Virding, her awareness made manifest with the light twitch of her nose. By the time her head was brought up to scan the vicinity and bring visual confirmation to the aromatic suspicion permeating the air, a beckoning of sorts found its way to her dichotomous receivers. Craning her neck in the direction of the passerby's voice and knitting her eyebrows into a perplexed frowned, Lilin granted him a simple answer. ''Hello.'' He wasn't close enough for her to examine him properly, nor had he breached their borders. She could afford to be lenient until given a reason not to be.
