OOC: ###

Tharin had patrolled along the edges of the pack, noting the various damages the hurricane had done. He marked some places to strengthen the border, the water managing to actually weaken the scent. Once that was done he drifted past it, deciding to see if he could find any prey. They had been pretty terrified by the storm, and he'd found some dead. Actually tracking down some fresh prey would be nice. They had been scarce since the storm, though they were slowly coming back out.

Coming across the tracks of an injured goat Tharin's tail wagged. That would make a good tidy meal. He followed it as the trail wandered away from his pack, staying close to it's scent as it headed east. He slowed down as the scent grew stronger, looking ahead to see a billy goat rubbing his head against a nearby tree. The injury was to the goat's back. It looked like something had gotten lodged in there. It would be an easy kill then, and give him a good meal.

thought this would be quite an entrance Big Grin

The grumbling feeling that went through Ookami's stomach was enough to force him out of his pack lands in search of food. He could eat something within, but he also wanted to get away. He was bored and still depressed, as well as holding lots of pent up anger within him. He was so angry with Adonia, but he was trying to move on, trying to forget. He tried hard to make himself stop thinking about her, and he whole buisness with him cutting himself had really helped.. Maybe that's why he continued to do it.

In his Optime form for the moment, he turned his arms face up and looked down at them. There were so many cuts, some scabbed over, some nearly healed that stretched all the way between his wrist and elbow. On both arms. He was running out of room to make fresh ones, maybe he would just open up his old wounds.

Harming himself was pushed from his mind for the moment when a loud growl ripped through the air. His ears perked as he looked down at his stomach.. He really needed food! He had been walking outside of his pridelands for a while, just thinking when he picked up the scent of a potential meal. He could smell blood on it, so he assumed it was injured. A grin curled his lips as he shifted into his Secui form. He liked this form for hunting, even if the prey was small.

His golden body lowered to the ground as he came within range of the prey. Finally, amber eyes caught site of it. He was facing it's back, and he noticed the lodged item in his back. He stayed crouched to the ground, not noticing the familiar wolf not too far away. Then, like a sling shot, Ookami snapped forward, leaping onto the goat's back with claws digging into soft flesh. He felt the goat's legs give way under his weight as it let out bleats of pain and fright. Ookami was quick to use his teeth, grabbing the goat's poll he quickly snapped it's neck. The noise quieted quickly, all this happening in a matter of seconds, quite an easy kill. A smug smile rested on Ookami's face as he looked at his easy kill.

OOC: ###

The large wolf's entire body stiffened as another came into sight. The golden wolf didn't even hesitate. Tharin growled loudly as the other attacked, taking his prey without a second thought. Tharin didn't hesitate to launch his form forwards, upset at losing the kill. If the wolf had failed at bringing down the goat they would have both lost a meal. It was careless. He hit the ground nearby, hackles raised high and ready to start a dispute over who had the right to the kill.

It only took a second for the scent to register. Ookami? He blinked, the hackles partly settled down once more. They weren't as relaxed as they could have been, still upset over the loss of the goat. He took in the mixed scents, picking up Ookami's blood and that of a pack he didn't know. Sniffing over the male Tharin tilted his head. Despite being in a new pack Ookami didn't smell very healthy. He smelled wrong. Not sick, but something was off about him.
